A big vetiver bomb! Fairly linear, but with massive sillage and moderate longevity (6 hrs on me). Although I appreciate the quality of this, it is a little too medicinal to really appeal to me, and I feel it would be better suited to a man's skin. I don't get any sweetness or spices from this, it's just basically green and woody, and rather sombre and formal.
An excellent vetiver for women (if you can still find it) is Yardley's Imperial Vetyver, not on the Fragrantica data base, it is a slightly sweeter concoction and wonderful to splash on in hot weather.

very beautiful. i'm sure that there's more than only two notes as was given here. the only one vetiver that I like is Prada's. but Montale's vetiver is even better! love it.

Very individualistic vetiver. Fresh but not citrusy. Lots of mahogany to support the base so you have to love this note to like it. This is a green, woody, not citrusy, not aquatic, not skoky vetiver. The fact that it is defined better but what it isn't rather than what it is may be off putting to some.

A vetiver disaster! A generic, derivative and undefined fresh composition of absolutely no interest. Hints of vetiver on a loud mahogany base. Vetiver Des Sables moves in a very crowded territory without the ability to stand out. Unneeded.
