The green fragrance represents the intellectual independence of a woman with a strong character and a high degree of self-confidence. She is never overlooked and loves to attract attention. She justifies her convictions emphatically and goes her own way without allowing the opinions of others or superficial obstacles to influence her. Women like her meet life with great passion and a pride which keeps events under its control.
Symbolic for the type of woman this perfume is dedicated to, the fragrance starts off with an original and powerful note.
A little patience is required to enjoy the perfume in all its complexity. As soon as the initial tempestuous and proud impression of the cucumber has abated, a distinctive personality develops.
Coconut water accentuates the irresistible character of the head notes even more strongly. The gentle sweetness of apple sugar and slowly unfolding iced mango fuse to become a fascinatingly emphatic fragrance experience which remains anchored in your memory even after the scent sensation has subsided.
The strong emotions caused by the head notes linger on, passing seamlessly into the heart of the perfume. Here, freesia and rose express the feminine spirit which flows on ahead into the base notes.
The perfume concludes with the notes of amber and vanilla, combined with musk and heliotrope. These reflect once more the personality overwhelming sensuousness dominates and who only rarely reveals her delicate side. Green was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Alessandro Gualtieri.

The niche version of Marc Jacobs Splash Cucumber. They're absolutely indistinguishable and I don't like neither the designer one nor the niche. Want to know how Green smells like? You have three options:
1) Try it
2) Try Marc Jacobs Splash Cucumber
3) Read the review I made for MJ's Splash Cucumber

Carnelian is spot on! The opening is allll cucumber!! About half an hour later the cucumber softens down and I smell some extremely light vague sweetness, but it's so vague that I can't tell what it is, but it's not coconut water or mango, it's more like the freesia/rose heart notes. So it has completely skipped over the other yummy head notes :(
I poured the entire sample on my wrists and it is already so soft i really have to strain to smell it. How annoying! This is fresh and green but certainly nothing like the extravagant description implies!! And no woman is going to attract attention with something as simple, adolescent and subtle as this!
The description above is funny. "The fragrance starts off with an original and powerful note?" I get almost all cucumber. Fresh, yes. The name "Green" is appropriate, it does conjure up this color in my mind when I smell it. Original (think Marc Jacobs Cucumber, etc.) or powerful (maybe if you're a gardener)? Not so much. There's just a touch of apple. I don't get the mango or coconut listed. The "tempestuous cucumber" (?) fades down to a delicate, powdery green (grassy, not herbal) floral, similar to fragrances like Tocca's Bianca or Crabtree & Evelyn's Spring Rain, etc. A gentle musk sort of floats up a couple of hours into wear. I don't really get much amber or vanilla. To me, it's dry, not very sweet. Pleasant, pretty, and good quality, just not a unique stand-out.
