Essence Eau de Musc Narciso Rodriguez for women

I received a sample of this and tried it on my skin. Smells same on skin as in bottle to me--unfortunately, I don't care for it at all. Smells like soap to me, plain bar soap with maybe a hint of baby powder. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it isn't sexy or chic.

I like this fragrance but it's too similar to my Infusion d'Iris! I definitely pick up the Iris note, which overpowers the Rose note unfortunately. I like it but I don't think I'll be purchasing this one anytime soon, so I'll stick to my lovely sample of it.

This fragrance reminds me of Head and Shoulders shampoo, its a shame, another Rodriguez I dont like :(

I like the original Essence by Narciso Rodriguez, and while there are not many differences between the original and this recent flanker, I do enjoy the muskier undertones and also the brighter citrusy accords in the opening of this fragrance far more than in Essence.

This fragrance is quite airy. It's light, delicate and refreshing. It occasionally reminds me of the ocean air; salty and cooling. However the musk provides an interesting sensuality later on.

The iris and rose blend together beautifully, like a soft floral bar of luxurious soap. It's hard not to like this fragrance. The musk is not unlike the prominent musk note in Narciso Rodriguez For Her. Musk really is making a comeback, particularly in a sensual way.

Essence Eau de Musc, for me is a toned down and less creamy offering. On the skin it's like soap bubbles rather than laundry detergent. I'm not certain which one I like more, the original Essence or Essence Eau de Musc.

All in all, this is a bright, fun and soothing scent that was a worthy Essence flanker in my opinion.

I adore this feminine soothing iris fragrance. Smells like a luxurious, expensive soap. Enjoy its calmness and longevity- lasts at least 8 hours on my skin.

This version isn't that much different from the original Essence by the same house. The Eau de Musc is still clean but with this creamy milky quality; much more like an expensive triple mill luxury soap than a regular soap. It's still powdery, slightly rosey, and amber sweet, but not as bright and soapy like the original Essence. Nothing much to say about it except it's actually easier to wear than the regular Essence.

Tried it but will not buy! Smells similar to Prada Infusion d' Iris which I already have. The bottle is cute though!

For me, it is very similar to Omnia Crystalline by Bvlgari, even the colour of the bottles are almost the same, just this one is silvier. It's the lighter version of first Essence, just less rose in the juice.

This is dejavu for me. There is an uncanny resemblance to Bvlgari pour femme. I think the similarities are that they both share the iris,rose & musk notes. It remains a lovely fragrance bt it is far less complex than pour femme if I dare to compare the two. A lovely sweet fragrance in all fairness.

After smelling this one yesterday, I can say that I liked it. This one is a bit fresher and muskyer then the original essence. And I love musk it smells so nice on a warm summer skin.

A soft version of original Essence, lighter, brighter and fresher. Lemon jumps out at first and fade with a soapy touch. After an hour it become a icy musky note, feminine but not popular! A soft musk scent left on my wrist after 4 hours.

I won't wear it in office, but enjoy to have it for any other occasions. All seasons! (I wear Essence EDP mostly in cool Winter days)

The silver skinny bottle in print ad looks cool & edgy! But the real one...just so so.

Anyway, I quite like this new Essence. Nice job NR!

You know, wearing niche fragrances all the time can make you feel a bit uptight after awhile.

This casual, laid-back fragrance is the perfect break. This conjures up thoughts of Bvlgari's Parfumee Au The Blanc, but far more pleasant. The lasting power is wonderful. It has survived a rendezvous, a hot shower, a workout and yet another hot shower. That's at least 12 hours now.. It's a wonderful skin scent, as mentioned. It IS indeed feminine to my nose from the bottle. But once mixed in with my skin chemistry, it's a clean, floral musk that complements me all too well. My girlfriend loves this on my skin, also.

P.S. - and YES, this version won my favor over the men's version by a long shot. The gender-bending lives on...

No meaning. This appeared to my nose as just another pleasant but nothing special NR's fragrance.
I agree it's not soapy laundry diva like Essence, but I cannot really feel the reason to produce such a scent. It is musky pungent yet very tamed and not so longlasting.
I loved NR in the black bottle and that's the one that blissfully takes my brain everytime I sniff a tester, but all the other scents that NR made after first EdT smells no sense to me.
