This is a signature fragrance for men launched in 2005. by the British designer Nicole Farhi.
“With these new fragrances, I set out simply to capture the essence of the most precious moments from my life. I wanted to create something special, mysterious; complex and, above all, not immediately obvious…”
The fragrance is oriental fougere with a green fresh opening of tea wood, lime and artemisia. The heart is combined of white pepper, Australian snow bark (Eucalyptus pauciflora) and birch leaf. The base includes white musk and fresh patchouli.
This fragrance is a winner of FiFi Awards 2006 in the category: Best men's fragrance packaging. it's available in EDT 30, 50 and 100ml with bath&body products.

I had never heard of this until I was sent a sample. It never hit the shelves of retailers in the USA. There is a very invigorating opening with lots of white pepper and tea. The lime is more reserved, yet refreshingly present.
It softens towards the woody heart-I love birch and its here. I am also picking up cashmeran and eucalyptus. The closing is a disappointment. White musk and patcholi is far to predictable.
This is a classic case of minimal ingredient offering an incomplete composition. Vetiver and oakmoss would have made it last. More traditional woods in the closing(cedar, juniper and pine) would have made it more compelling.
It is fine for office/dinner wear. I would say its a "James Bond scent"-it is easily lost in a crowd.
Thanks for the decant, Will!
Starts off with crisp citrus and quite peppery. Some sour and green notes. Smells initially fresh and has a hint of ?pine that persists well beyond the top notes. A really good opening but doesn't really live up to its promise.
It dries down (through a short-lived phase that smells like a banana skin to me!) to become slightly more full, muskier and woodier but a bit flat and dull. Retains a green note all the way through.
I think this is a summery, clean fragrance, but there are some almost animalic notes at points so it wouldn't suit very hot weather. Not got enough depth or power for cold weather though. Maybe an everyday office scent - can't imagine it would ever offend anyone.
Not very strong - need a few extra squirts on top of my usual 2-4. Even with extra squirts it unfortunately doesn't project well at all and it doesn't last long on me.
Smells pretty good. Nothing very special or interesting after the decent opening. Doesn't last at all well. Don't regret buying it (glad I didn't pay full price though). Won't buy it again.
A very clean, crisp and woody scent with hints of pepper. It's a fragrance that reminds me of a snow covered forest in the depths of a bleak midwinter. The coldness also seems to be reflected in the design of the fantastic bottle too which resembles some kind of modern art ice sculpture. Despite its coldness i'd recommend this to be worn more at the cooler times of the year rather than the hot, balmy days of summer. All in all a fascinating, unique fragrance with good longevity and decent silage.
For me it's;
Nicole Fahri = Kenzo Power + Gucci Rush (2000) + Gucci pour Homme
nice peppery fragnance! it's becoming rare now
The opening of this...as everyone else has said is a kind of overwhelming masucline spicy pepper. It's nice and a little bit unusual but I think the pepper is out of balance with the other notes. The background is very herby which is nice.
It fades quite quick though and the drydown is..a bit meh, not really anything to rave about. For a peppery scent I would reccomend "Bang" by Marc Jacobs.
The one good thing about this scent is the cool bottle but the quality of the juice is not so good.
It was a blind purchase for mee too, and top notes are really amazing and juicy. Artemisia, pepper and lime make opening very attractive and joyous but then it develops into musky patchouli woody base which appeared to me boring and plain.
In a selfish way, I'm glad this scent didn't take off commercially. It's a bargain and a beauty.
It's something unique in a world of mediocre fragrances. I agree with nattonline in that it does remind me of Salvatore Ferragamo Homme but I would say it has more in common with its recent reincarnation as Costume National Homme. It is not as spicy as SF.
I agree that is in the same family as l'Eau Bleue d'Issey but the notes in this a far from the lemongrass and rosewood I get from LBD.
The scent this most reminds me of is Comme des Garcons Zagorsk but it's a tad more masculine and clean. I find Zagorsk to be softer like a pine scented beeswax candle.
I've only had this one on half an hour and I'm pleased with my blind purchase.
..........The only down side is that it stays very close to the skin on me but it does have lasting power.
I bought this solely because of the cool bottle. As for the scent, it is invigorating. The opening reminds me of Eau Maximum by Nickel, but the lime here is less aggressive and it doesn't hit my nose like Nickel does.
As it dries, the scent becomes similar to Ferragamo Homme (which is also similar to Declaration by Cartier, in my opinion). It stays on cool peppery (curry'ish) spices with a bit of green (patchouli) edge. The sweetness in this fragrance is very little to none.
The scent stays fresh and peppery while the lime just sneaks back in every now and then; clearing up the scent when the spices get a bit overwhelming. The longevity and projection are yet unknown till I spend more time with it.
Is it a great find? Sure. Do I like the scent? Not Really. Is the bottle cool? Yup!!! In my opinion, it has no oriental quality at all! And it should have been listed as Aromatic Fougere instead. Actually I just wish I had a bigger bottle because my 30mL bottle looks like a really tiny ice cube. LoL
This is a truly amazing fragrance from one of the uk's most prominent fashion house .
It smells very fresh - fresh in the opening and smells very 'cool' if i can say that about it ? I get whiffs every now and then and I jsut love wearing this as a staple (office)
The shower tonic is lovely -it smells exactly like the fragrance , The aftershave balm is very light and non greasy and has a subtle scent to it.
definately one for winter/autumn/spring
The bottle itself is very chunky -and looks like a piece of ice -nice and it's very tactile.
and not too be missed in my opinion - an unusual fragrance that would be worthy in any self respecting mans fragrance wardrobe
I get a good 8 hours out of this fragrance - it dries to a woody base - I really like this one :)
