Nina Ricci is launching a new apple, Le Paradis de Nina, coloured in pale pink, with silver decorations on its flacon. The new limited edition arrives on the market on April 1st 2010, as a poetic and romantic “younger sister“ which is alluring with gourmand notes of its composition.
Le Paradis de Nina opens with citrusy sparkles of orange, mandarin, orange blossom and delicate almonds. A heart features heliotrope along with glazed apple and gardenia, whereas base notes incorporate sandalwood, blond wood, patchouli and vanilla. The fragrance is available as 50ml edt.
Le Paradis de Nina aims at urban princesses who want to leave a sweet-seductive trace in a romantic way.

i LOVE this !i got ninna ricci nina and disliked it very much.in fact so much i returned it.it smelled like bug spray to me.this is so light feminine sweet and just floral enough to capture my heart.crisp apple drizzled in vanilla at the open is wrapped in delicate floral in the middle ,finishing with soft well blended woody notes.
Too sweet for me. I like how it smells but I got headache when I met it on my skin and I can't use it.
I find this a bit too masculine for me. The almond comes out very strong. I still like the scent though and the bottle looks awesome!
I love this one. It's very lemony at the beginning, then you can smell the apple, lastly you can smell almonds and vanilla. It's a nice fruity-gourmand, I can't detect flower notes. It's like a dessert. And the bottle is just lovely. For young women. Good lasting power.
Very citrusy at first, and then it's gone. On me, at least. Oh, well. No almonds, no apple, no vanilla, absolutely not gourmand. A slightly woody ending to a 60-minute citrusy show. If you like light citrus, go for it!
To me, it smells like "Madeleines". those french, muffin-like, vanilla thingies. i like it! but its a little too girly for me.... i'm more the heavy, oriental, vanilla type ...
This lasts a long time on my clothes. When first sprayed, it smells like fruity tic tacs or fruit stripes gum. Then it mellows out and I smell a lemony/vanilla combination. It's not too bad, but for once it's a smell I don't want to smell for a long time on me.
I've just sprayed some on, and it's very lovely. Not sure if I like it better than Love (green apple), though, but I do like it better than Nina (first red apple). It's not as intense, and has a citrus note (mandarin and orange, I presume) that make it smell a bit yummier than the red berries in Nina. Will wait for the drydown and report!
Update: Drydown is very nice too, although it does not smell very different to the opening notes, just mellower, but quietly intense at the same time. I would say that Le Paradis smells more intensive than Love, but weaker than Nina (which in my opinion, is a bit too strong for me, especially in the opening). The main notes I can smell in the drydown are vanilla, indescriptive foody notes, and a hint of white flowers. Overall, it smells very feminine- I can envision a young woman in a long flowy pink dress, running up or down a ballroom staircase!
Longevity: I've been wearing it for 7 hours and it still smells fresh.
Definitely a 'love' and possibly also a favourite!
Update two: After frequent wear, I have placed the scent of the drydown: Mariah Carey M without the incense note! Now I'm wishing I didn't buy that one!
totally enchanting! I smell grapefruit when I spray this but it settles to a musky version of the original Nina...And i find the almond to give it something unique! And yay for shoppers drug mart for having a 1.7 oz of this for 19.99!
A very girly girly fragrance, soft, sweet, adorable, . Indeed wearable, I don't see how anyone could hate this. It's just made to please the masses, and yet I love it, because it's vaporous and delicate.
It's a gourmand with a delicate flavor, vanilla with citrus, very little flowers, non soapy, non cloying, edible without headaches and sugar spikes. Somehow, despite its very unoriginal composition, it manages to go above the typical floral-fruity-gourmand scent. It doesn't smell generic and synthetic, like many in this category; actually light like angelfood cake, and not far in smell either. I recommend this one for casual use,for those who cannot take full speed gourmands, but like to play with the concept of sweets.
I was surprised when I found a whole lot of 30 ml bottles of this perfume at Shoppers Drug Mart in Vancouver, Canada on sale for $19.99! And yes they are limited edition, so Shoppers are probably getting rid of stock. Anyways, about the scent itself, it is very sweet and gourmand...and I dont think it smells the same as the original. Maybe similar but definitely doesn't smell the same. Fruity scents (probably from the apple and oranges) and vanilla stand out most for me. Also, with my skin chemistry, it smells exactly like gummy bears! I sprayed some on my wrist when I was at Shoppers and my sister who were standing close by, asked whether I was eating gummy bears or whether there was any gummy bears around, as she can smell them. =P
I'm especially pleased with this blind buy because the fresh top notes are exactly like Nina Ricci's Liberty Fizz from the Belles de Ricci range, now discontinued, I think, but one of my all time favourites.
Drying down to a warm vanilla undertone, but top notes remained until the end. Very uplifting fragrance.
Am restraining myself from buying all the back numbers of this new Nina range, but am pretty desperate to hear more of the new one coming out, Snow Princess.
The bottle, by the way, is not a metallic finish, but pink frosted glass.
Smells kinda like liquorice on me, love from the first sight ;)
Very delicious and tender. Anyone knows if this is a Limited Edition? Gotta buy a new bottle just in case :)
I ment a Note like powder yet not powder. And I forgot to mwntion I don't really smell Patchouli nor the dreaded apple scent which seems to be in EVERY new fragrance!
I adore this scent! It's lovely and soft and sweet! I want to squeel and pass out of it! Ridiculous yes, but true.
It starts out very lightly citrusy and with a nice dose of a flower garden and also a not like powder but not powder.
It is kind of cool in the begining and the becomes warm as it progresses on me.
As it opens up more it begins to get more of that " madililene" cake smell. Vanilla but very far from the cheap kind in most perfume.
Then near the end its sweet and it balances itself between all the fragrances in it.
This is my signature scent because its light and airy yet sweet. Its something even a baby could wear in terms of scent!
Very pretty scent, Ricci has soft romantic scents
I have Pretty Nina, and Elixir and they are all quite similar I admit, although Paradis isn't as crisp or fruity
Paradis doesn't have a strong apple note, and I like that!! It is sweet but not overly, I can't detect any patchouli either
There are days I want to be surrounded by soft elegant feminine beautiful scents
Paradis does the trick!!
The name fits the fluffiness of the scent!! There is a pillowy cushiony side to Paradis.
At first it was not bad but not good. Soft Vanilla and sour, like yoghurt. After a while it turned into delicious raspberry and smooth vanilla. Sweet but not overly, and very yummy! After some time, it turned into regular vanilla.
love it, love it, love it!!!
it IS PARADISE :) the scent of angels...
everything has been written about this parfume is true.. lightly sweet, lightly sour, lightly floral.. everything is perfect to me in this one :)
love it, love it, love it...
Like one would expect, Le Paradis de Nina is sweet, but not in a headache-inducing sense of the word.
Captivated by the adorable silver and pink bottle, I could not resist spritzing this fragrance onto my wrist, despite my initial fears that it could be too sweet for my tastes. Thankfully, Le Paradis de Nina was just right. A sugary scent that doesn't go overboard.
The scent itself is girly, light and somewhat fluffy. Instead of heavy syrup, this fragrance is a thin layer of icing sugar on a vanilla cupcake.
The softness of the scent overall left me with a very pleasant feeling all day. Unfortunately it didn't last as long as I would have liked it to. The lasting strength was moderate, around 5 hours, however it left me lusting for more.
While I don't dispute the fact that lovers of the red Nina will like this fragrance too, I do think that those who expect this fragrance to be just as heavy and candied with an apple note, may be disappointed. Subtle is the key to describing this scent.
the scent has some similarities with Hanae Mori "HM for Men" EDP. It's got that lemon vanilla candy accord, but it doesn't stay that way for long. As a man, i can see myself wearing, because i like the final result. They're much more stronger sweet men fragrances than this one out there!
it starts like a watery popsickle (called a 'rocket' here, the one with red-orange-yellow). Then it gets reeeaaally sweet: a diehard floral fruity gourmand. In the end it dries down as a kind of more mature version of floral fruityness where the sweetness makes way for a bit woody/earthiness. It's like seeing a perfume grow up in a few hours: waiting for the icecream-man as a little kid in summer, sugarsweet naivity of puberty and grown up responsibility of being fresh and strong.
I love it, I just bought it today!! This is lighter, softer, and sweeter than Nina. To me it does not smell the same at all. They're no where near related scent wise.
Paradis is so much nicer than Nina. I did a side by side test on both wrists; Paradis is soft, sweet, powdery and feminine. It has a foody feel to it like a small fluffy almond cake with frosting.
It is so much nicer than Nina. Did a side by side test on both wrists. Paradis soft, sweet, powdery and feminine. Has a foody feel to it like a small fluffy almond cake drizzled with sweet lemon frosting. The smell seems to last and on me, and I am adoring it!
I get various notes at various times, though all are similar and lovely and I have smelled the Madeline cake which is delicious.
It's a lovely sweet feminine smell that isn't too foody that you smell exactly like cake, but is yummy and the dry down is a lovely feminine sweetness.
Le Paradis's advertising with Ruslana Korshunova model is too sad, she died two years ago R.I.P. I tested this twice to me it's similar to Ricci Ricci but lighter for young girls better is a sweet fragance like a delicate veil
love the bottle..!!
but the smell not differ from the original and 'love'. maybe 1st spray the scents more light.. but after a while the similarity of 3 bottles appear.. so for me.. they just change the color of bottle.. nothing much...
Here again people feeling it the same as the original. I do not have this one, but know it from the stores. It smells very much different to me, it is softer, less sparkling. Again more on the gourmand side, although I find the gold edition even more gourmand!
To my nose, this smells a lot like the original Nina, which I love. I couldn't detect any notes that were very different. It may be a little bit sweeter.
The bottle is very pretty on my vanity.
cute, soft, sweet and delicate.. really suits my personality.. i love it and i got it as the last bottle in the shop in Russia.. huhu.. love it!!!
this is so god sweet mmmmmm fresh
It's a really pretty fragrance, similar to Nina, but with a much stronger vanillic quality. For some reason even though it's sweeter thant it's predecessor I find it just a bit softer. It resembles a lot L de Lolita Lempicka, it has the same salty bitter note, but is less strong and lacks the complexity of the burnt vanilla mid and base notes L has. Therefore I think it's easier to wear and it's not such a loud fragrance. The dry-down is warm, not cloying patchouli and vanilla, it's just right. Not a patchouli lover, but I liked the drydown in particular because this reminded me how my mom smelled when I was a little girl and when she'd hug me coming home from work. The fragrance has a good staying power and would make a lovely gift for lovers of sweet scents.I like it a lot, but still prefer the original Nina.

Hi. You can by it at ebay.com.
I absolutely LOVE this perfume! It's so sweet and warm. Innocewnt and sexy at the same time!! One of my favorite perfumes of all times!
Hey there, i really want to surprise my girlfriend by getting her favorite perfume of all time "Love by Nina" but it was a limited edition from last year, how can i get a hold of a bottle of that perfume now? Any ideas? :O
I think it smells delicous, makes you in a good mood and like a young girl singing and dancing in front of the mirror..What more can you ask from a spring/summer scent?..
Maybe it is not a subtle opinion, but I feel that, at first, Le Paradis is similar to Lolita Lempicka perfumes: it is joyful, playful, gourmand. Citrus are very noticeable at the beginning, but not enough to make the perfume less nice and sweet. I do notice the almonds; almonds, the deep sweetness of vanilla and something else makes Le Paradis smell like cookies, as said below, cinnamon cookies. But then it is not like a Lolita Lempicka perfume: it is not as good, it is heavier and even a bit annoying. However, it doesn't last a lot.
Apparently, there is madeleine cake in here. I detected cake immediately when I first smelt this, without even looking at the notes. It's sooooo yummy, I can almost eat it. It's also very 'fluffy' if that makes any sense,.. Kind of like how a cakes' batter is fluffy. I detected a strong citrus smell, and there's a strawberry shortcake doll 'feel' going on with it too, perhaps one of the other dolls(besides Strawberry herself) smelled this way.
In short, I'm in gourmand heaven with this fragrance. Not at all like the original Nina, in my opinion. I find this one so much better. Dessert-like and 'foody', It's my new current favorite. :-)
the bottle is amazing I love her bottles:D The smell is quite fresh at the beginning .I smell the oranges and mandarin right from the top and after the smells settles down after a while I smell caramel or something similar.I like it, I think its great for summer but a little too girlie maybe..I.m still deciding.
I love this one :) When I tested it it was soft, sweet and reeeally girly. My boss told me when I got in the car I smelt like sweets! I just love it.
i think this smells like a gourmand apple like candy apples or apple pies or anything foody
i LOVE the original nina, and maybe that's why i had high expectations for this one..
i didn't like this one at all, i like floral fruity and gourmands, but this one seamed that some one just picked up some ingredients and alcohol and mixed it up in a pretty bottle, not even caring at all for the construction of the perfume.
it's confusing, very confusing this one.
to me, nothing can replace the original nina, that's want i would recommend for anyone, but not this one
Tested her today. Unfortunately, it was a big disapointment. It doesn't work well with my body chemistry.
Sadly, I can only get a smell like the original Nina has been mixed with a big bottle of lemon juice. After 1,5 or 2 hours, it transforms to an almondish smell, and another hour later, It's gone.
I feel sad. I hoped, we will become friends.
Indeed, the bottle is beautiful and cute. It reminds me of a pearl :)
I love this perfume. Its sweet and smells like cookies. perfect for a hot summers day. I love sweet scents
Does anyone have an idea of where this is available in the states? I'm not having any luck finding it. Thx!
I agree this being really sweet. It's like the original Nina with all the sparkliness and fresness removed and some extra sweetness added. The original is more clear where this new version is a bit fuzzy.
I love all the versions of apple but this is too sweet and foody,IMO
I love all the Nina's in the sweet apple bottle! Can't wait to try this one!!
I can't wait to try this one. Recently, I had Pretty Nina. I wanted to love her so badly, but I got allergic... I was really disappointed. (I'm allergic to all the Nina apples:-( ) Not long ago, I figured out, that I'm allergic to the rose in the fragrances. I was just :-OO So I was really happy when I saw this newby will come out, and it doesn't contain rose :DDD Oh, I just cant wait!! I want it, now!! :D
I can't wait to try this! At first I hated my "Love by Nina" after I bought it and got it home... there was something icky sweet in there and I didn't know what it was? Now I think it is the combination of Green Apple and Cherry Blossom.
The other Nina (The original Red Apple Bottle) also had an "Ick" factor and I never bought it. That had Praline. ~ Now that I check it also had Green Apple note. Why the Red Bottle then? Hmmmm... :( What is with the apple scents that don't smell like fresh red RIPE JUICY RED APPLES? (Yes I am talking to you, "Irrisistable Apple" from Bath and Body Works. lol.) Maybe it's how it translates when they try to turn it into fragrance/ essential oil etc.? I don't know, Hopefully this one will be different! :)
This one however, doesn't seem to have those notes! But it's from this line so I don't know what to expect?
But I love Citrus, I love Almond, I love soft florals, and the warm base notes. I definately want to try this one and see how it is different from the other Nina's Fragrances (the apple ones.)
This one is RED apple so I am praying it has a different feel/ smell to it. :)
Happy testing! I am so suprised to see this! My Love by Nina is actually growing on me and I am learning to appreciate it and may start wearing it. So you never know. I am very curious to see others' reviews of this one!!! I can't wait. :)
