I haven't smelled anything from Oscar de la Renta in a very long time. Live in Love is a nice and pleasant smelling fragrance. It reminds me alot of Estee Lauder's Intuition. I haven't smelled it in years but I think the smells are strikingly similar. It also reminds me of a Jessica McClintock fragrance, I just can't remember which. It has a retro 90's vibe to it cause it reminds me of a typical smell many women wore through the 1990's decade when I was child. I like it for its nostalgic aroma but I'd never personally wear it for myself. Some smells are better left in the past and to be only summoned when taking a trip down memory lane, evoking feelings and people long forgotten. Now, I'm feeling nostalgic. A good fragrance that would be perfect for this current spring season or the summer. Thanks Oscar!

What a great fragrance for summer! On my skin, this reminds me VERY much of Cabotine, which is wonderful. I find this to be very green, and on the "fresh" side, but its got a teensy bit of an edge (LOVE that galbanum) that makes it unique. This is fun to wear, and it's a mood elevator for me, just like Cabotine.

LIve in Love is very nice, it goes on with a certain punch, then stays on you a veil of a scent, warm and bright. I find it cheerful in a stylish kind of way.Not a fan of De La Renta by any means, that one is for me a special treat. Lovely and crisp on a spring cool day. It would suit a lot of women out there as it is quite versatile.

Not sure why I'm getting lemon sugar from this but I love it! Like frozen lemonade with florals. I would definitely buy this for an everyday fragrance.

Slipped away from the necessary yardwork this afternoon and spent a much needed break in the fragrance department of Dillards. Found several goodies, but this one stood out somehow. Perhaps because of the Spring-like sensation it evokes! Tried a little on, and after almost five hours its still here..... a little softer, but just as lovely as can be. Think I've found my new scent for Spring!! I'll purchase a bottle just in time for Equinox.

This is just gorgeous and exquisite! I would definitely wear this exclusively in the Spring and Summer. It is definitely a floral blend of jasmine, orchid, hyacinth and rose. It is definitely my next purchase for sure and will perhaps be my wedding fragrance!

Oscar de la Renta means sophistication, refinement and maturity. I finally gave this fragrance a chance today and I fell in love. The fragrance notes speak to me and I adore the way this fragrance develops overtime. I have no issues with it lasting and I know I'll enjoy every minute wearing this. Definately worth trying!!

i LOVE this but . . . . it fade's away almost immediatly on me :( im so so sad because i think this could have been --the one -- or atleast waaaaay up there the scent reminds me of spring time when i was 17 or so i had a rose water body cream that i would put on after swimming allday or just geting out of the shower & i smelled & felt so fresh clean & feminine THIS was a dead ringer but for the price i.d.k? if i can live with the poor lasting power :( does anyone have anysuggestion's of something as feminine but more Uummphh?

Nice, creamy, seductive. Pure but provocative. Hyacinth and lillies on top, them amber and cedar wood. I also smell a bit of coriander - just a grain.

tried it on my wrist yesterday. Sadly i am not impressed at the moment since it is a winter time here where i live with a lot of snow at the moment, but i think that this is more of a spring time fragrance. It is more bitter in the opening, and gave me a strange feeling that it is even too green. It stayed quite dry and green for a while on my skin and later began to turn into more powderly floral fragrance. But it took approximatly 1 hour to get it "into right shape". At least up to my standarts. 24 hors later i can still smell it on my wrists (i had a wild party night last night and was wearing another fragrance as well) and it is still here. True that i have to smell it really close, but i cans till smell a nice green lilly-of-the-valley and bergamot mix, with a slight hint of rose and a bit dryness of a wood in the drydown. I wouldn´t call it a masterpiece and it can be used as an every day fragrance but i don´t really see it to be used during colder time of the year.
P.S. : the original Oscar is still very popular in the country where i live

Very nice scent. Very soft, floral w/ a heavy citrus note. A girly fragrance indeed, personally not my cup of tea.

Why is this not being more widely distributed? Currently it's no longer available online via Macy's or Lord & Taylor. It is available via Oscar's site, but the shipping is crazy.

I was at the Bay, when Oscar de la Renta had his own personal appearance there and signed the bottles of new perfume "live in love". It is light, very fresh, with idea of a woman, who loves herself, as Oscar told very inspiring story taken from his life , about a woman, who was waking up so early in the morning, and look so good after her make up done and all dressed up. When he asked her why she is doing it at 5 a.m. and he asked her:" who you want to impress so early? She just said , she made it for herself, to feel good.
If you want to feel that kind of a woman, I guess, you should have this perfume, or at least a sample...like me.

I got a sample of this, I really like it. Soft and somehow refreshing in a way. Definitely crisp green aspects, but not harsh. Blended well with my skin in the dry down, which is a rarity for me these days.
Sillage was moderate and longevity the same, about 4-5 hours. Probably great for spring/summer. Adding to my wish list!

I scored a free sample of this yesterday. It is a very pretty floral scent that reminds me a little of Jessica McClintock. It only lasted about an hour on me and I had to struggle to smell it on my wrist. Still, I felt pretty wearing it.

The woody-floral drydown is great, too... it's a more crisp, mature scent than the fun, spicy-floral or vanilla-musk scents that I usually enjoy but I like it as something for special events. It lasts a remarkably long time on me, too! Hours later it's still clinging just above the skin.

just read on now smell this that the official notes are:
bergamot, ginger orchid, hyacinth, muguet, galbanum, jasmine Sambac, orange blossom, rose, white woods, musk, amber, sandalwood and cedar.
(they also add that Live in Love is a green floral developed by perfumers Jean Marc Chaillan and Carlos Benaïm.)
it sounds wonderful and perfect for the upcoming (southern hemishpere) spring :)
