Rosamor is delicate, sensuous and gleeful. Spanish words for rose and love are united in the name of the perfume, so it is an ideal present for a woman you love. It brings a beautiful harmony of flowers and wood, along with a tender whisper of balmy spiced notes and musk at the base. The composition opens with a juicy mandarin and a rear pink lily-of-the-valley. As it develops, the flowers become more intensive, revealing ylang-ylang, tuberose, rose and heliotrope at the heart. The base is composed of woody notes, Tonka bean, vanilla and musky notes. The fragrance was created by Beatrice Piquet in 2004.

Rosamor Fragrance Reviews

phillip.jones.71868

Cute bottle. The scent starts off with a bad alcohol base and a bit of turpentine and artificial florals that is supposed to be lily of the valley. There is a whiff of artificial vanilla esters and heliotrope. There was absolutely no rose scent whatsoever no matter how hard we tried to convince ourselves there was. I'm sorry, but, I just don't understand how this could smell good on anyone. I bought it at TJ Maxx....frankly my wife tells me I should have left it there.

ROSAMOR; Oscar de la Renta

I had hopes for Rosamor; however, sadly it did not change my mind about 'rose' fragrances. Unfortunately, I associate rose scents as granny type ... quite headache inducing. I would not put this in that category; Rosamor is soft, not overpowering, pleasant enough, but not memorable. I wouldn't expect anyone to come up asking for the name of the fragrance.

I definitely would not discourage a rose lover from taking a chance; however, as for my experience, I take the responsibility, as I knew it wouldn't be a favorite of mine.

This is so different from some of the 'rose' smells out there. Firstly - it's not overly prominent. Secondly it has an element that stands on its own. I think it's the freesia?

I actually love the smell of fressia - it's everything that happiness means to me. The smell of fressia on a hot balmy night wafting through the air is intoxicating.

This fragrance is nothing like the romantic girly smells out there, but more mature sexy. In an office setting, it would be a manager that states "My door is always open" policy, but be prepared for constructive criticism . If my Manager wore it - I would bend over backwards for her :o)

If you want to leave a lasting impression without being arrogant then this one is for you.

Rosamor is just so... for me! A soft and lovely feminine floral, inoffensive, beautiful, enchanting. The typical kind of fragrance I feel comfortable wearing.
The amazing drydown is mostly sandalwood on my skin, and I adore it! This is not a rose scent, but instead an exquisitly blended soft floral woody musk. I love it so much, almost as much as the even more amazing So de la Renta...

Isn't this marvellous? I knew I would like it.It smells to me of creamy ginger, which I love and bitter egyptian musk. It does have a twist, does smell complex. Very pleasant and well balanced. A pity it is not stronger. As for the scent I find it perfect. And lovely bottle nd box. Staying power is very poor though and I do not think silage is great. It is a pity really.

A very pretty, feminine rose blend in the bottle. On my skin, the citrus note became much too pronounced, throwing off the balance and making it unwearable. The citrus note developed too boldly and smelled acidy and synthetic. I was so dissapointed because I loved the rosy secent in the bottle and on the test strip. Gave it to a friend who is very happy with it.

I remember sniffing scents at Sears a few years ago and this one drew me in.

Soft rose note, a tad a citrus and gentle musk. Nice.

It's pleasant but not mind-blowing. It's a goood scent when you want to smell slightly romantic but not overtly seductive.

I like this perfume, but on me the rose is very vague. Like non-existant. I find stronger notes in the mandarin intially, a little more tangerine in my mind perhaps, and the lily of the valley.

The citrus notes fade within the hour leaving me with a strong ?lavender? note, and a very mild woody and mild spice undertone.

I can see that lavender is not part of it's composition so I don't know why I can smell it.

I think Rosamor is a good all year rounder myself, and particularly suitable for summer and autumn.

High notes last about 30 minutes, and it settles to last around 4-5 hours. (though I can see detect it mildly around 8 hours later)

What a nice refreshing rosey floral fragrance! Citrus and rose at initial spritz; it quickly warms up on skin like a delicate creamy rose. Definitely gardenia and lily of the valley add to this wonderful white floral lotion like presence. Fresia's utmost second prominent note in here. I am also noticing that cosmeticy aura and love it for that.
Blind buy after reading great spot on reviews :)
Pleasant, comforting and feminine scent.
Excellent for the price and worth it!
Resemblance to Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Revealed, only difference is Rosamor has a better dry down, and more "RosePower" !

I love it, I was afraid it would be low quality for the price but this is surprisingly lovely. Top notes are mainly lily of the valey and freesia then it develops into a very pretty powderish rose. I love it. Don't get the old lady associations, this is a very beautiful elegant fragrance. Lasting power good sillage good also.

An absolutely wonderful rose fragrance!

A very light scent, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your mood, but a beautiful fragrance none the less.

Well, I am learning so much from this site and one of the things I have learned is that heliotrope on my skin creates the 'baby powder' effect that I am not looking for. This fragrance was pleasant at the beginning but the powdery smell got stronger and stronger and drowned everything else out. So, I will be moving on.

"Rosamor" is a very charming scent with a vintage powder and lipstick smell. Especially the dry down makes me feel like I put my nose into my small make up bag that contains a lush facial powder, a Chanel lipstick and a small purse spray of my favourite scent de jour.

Rosamor (love the name btw) Isn't a rose scent and doesn't open or end with a rose note either, no, rather a touch of freesia - which makes its opening notes *fresh* followed by a gardenia/tuberose middle stage that softly replaces the opening freshness with a powdery dry down that is laced with musk, sandalwood and heliotrope. Nope, I cant detect any rose note so the name is a bit misleading, that or my chemistry is banning the rose from evolving.
The make-up smell gives it a vintage vibe hence the retro shaped flacon makes sense to me.

In the dry down it does remind me a bit of EA "Red Door Revealed" - but it's slightly more floral and to my nose a tad prettier. Suitable for all occasions in which a pretty, soft and slightly sensual scent with an innocent vibe is desired. It's office and date friendly and has the approval of men. Not suitable for people who expect a rose perfume. Try before buy!

Silage is: lipstick, powder and soft florals - Longevity is: quite astounding for such a soft scent with on me 7+ hours, and if I you'll let it, it will be there the next day still...A soft and pretty powdery whisper close to the skin.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It's very unlike most of the perfumes I favor that are heavier and spicier. This is fresh and more citrus and woody than rose to me. It also has that note I love that smells like pencil shavings. Not sure what it is but I love it. One of the few perfumes I have purchased more than once or twice.

Most people (I not) would wish this beatiful Rosamore gem stronger, I see that in the modern version Electric Rose by Givenchy!
Only can`t reconize the anise note in Rosamore,
but in my perception are this one´s in common!
Love both, and so many others,( too much) lol!
By the way Rosamore is perfect, very modern at the
time, Electric Rose for now and days, they say!
But it`s not really original, its a stronger Rosamore imo, nice buth nothing new!
Talking only about this scent, Givenchy is a real great powerhouse, think about Ysatis, and many others!

This is a great fresh rose! I often have trouble with the rose note as it takes on this "dusty" nature on my skin -- but this is wonderful! Light and fresh, sheer and sparkling -- I can just imagine picking a rose fresh from the garden with dew still on the petals! Very light and gentle, refreshing, good for the office or casual wear. Doesn't last as long as other scents from the house but this is the only drawback.

As Spring fills the air with sunny freshness, I find myself craving for sweet freshies and this has been one that I have reaching out for lately. Great for office-wear and those days you simply want to smell fresh and feminine. Mandarin and lilly of the valley are energising and full of zest and the Rose here presented is also a very clean and reminds me of the wild Roses about to bloom in my own back yard. The whole opening reminds me of a floral and champagne-like Tang o.j.! Ylang Ylang brings some sweet depth with gardenia, tuberose and freesia: this phase lingers nicely on me abeilt faintly . I usually do not go for so much floral notes in a frag, but Rosamor keeps it fresh and vibrant. I can almost detect a watermelon note somewhere which i love. A touch of vanilla graces the drydown merging nicely with milky sandalwood and tonka bean. This is my favorate stage, where the scent gets deeper and muskier, graced with a very light tobaco that keeps it from being overly fruity or floral. I often get told I smell lovely when I , myself can no longer smell it so it must have a decent logevity on me. It sure lingers on clothes and my pillow gets the nicest scent when I spritz it in my hair. For Spring days, wanting to reconnect to mother nature after having been buried under so much snow ( oh, dearest, coldest Canada...). This is a like that will always border on the love xxxx

A pretty and traditional fragrance. Smells like rose mixed with freshly mowed grass, and reminds me of something from the past. Unfortunately, this is a very light frag, better suited for summer.

Something about it reminds me of the classy Halson Sheer.

Pretty bottle, beautiful scent. However one big problem no sooner that you spray this on, it only last 30 minutes at the most. I'm so dissapointed because Oscar's first last a very long time. I would think coming from Oscar de la renta it would be a much better quality. It's bottled scented water! The fragrance smells lovely but no staying power what so ever. I won't purchase this perfume again.

Beautiful look. Lovely smell. Just one complaint, I CAN'T SMELL IT after it leaves the bottle. And I put a lot on and I mean A LOT. Still, nothing. It's really too bad because it smells amazing! Rose! Who doesn't want to smell like Roses? I also don't really like Gardenia but for some reason it didn't bother me at all. Maybe...perhaps..I just couldn't smell it properly. I won't be replacing this bottle simply due to the lack of longevity and sillage. Otherwise, I was so happy to be able to try it out!

I like this perfume but I need a ton to even remember having it on. No sillage what-so-ever and longevity is not a word that could even be considered in the same sentence with Rosamor. In 2004 I was trying on perfumes to get for mother and this made the cut. She used it, she liked it then, but she has absolutely no recollection of the scent - talking about a person who can describe fragrances she wore 50 and 60 years ago. I was quite surprised, because I remembered it as one of the perfumes I liked enough for me too. So I recently bought a bottle. And I now know what she means. The scent vanishes. I have to stick my wrist on my nose to even remember I have it on.

Scent-wise I get no rose, and no baby powder (thankfully) either. What I do get is an immediate dry-down with a scent of lingering tobacco on old leather bound books. The smell of a house library room. I guess it is the musk with the citrus that blend this way.

Wow, I didn't think I considered myself a fan of rose but I like this. I also enjoy citrus and tuberose so that helps. The lasting power is not good, but if I like a fragrance enough I will buy the large bottle and re-apply. Also putting it on clothes keeps the scent with me longer. I think it's lovely. In my opinion, a perfume collection needs a powdery floral and for me, this fits the bill.

Rosamor is a lightweight powdery, watery rose type fragrance. I did pick up hints of citrus upon first application, but it didn't last very long, to my disappointment. As the fragrance evolved, I felt a few of the floral notes with the tuberose being the most prominent on me. I was hoping for a bit of sweetness with the tonka bean, but it didn't develop well on me.

Overall, nice neutral fragrance. Appropriate for office and daytime wear. Sillage average. Longevity about 4 hours. Rating 6 out of 10 for me. I like the fragrance, but wanted a few more floral notes.

Very delicate, feminine scent. It does have a powdery feel to it, even with the citrus and floral notes. It is very pleasant, even for someone like me who usually don't care for florals. Not for someone who wants to make a statement but it's good for office or hot weather when you want your fragrance to be "polite". It is slightly sweet and powdery, giving it a fresh and clean feel. Longevity is ok, about 3 hours on my skin.

I remember hearing a girl talk about how she wasn't a big perfume person because she had a difficult time finding anything that didn't turn into a "baby powder" scent on her skin. I had never heard about that happening to anyone and I had never had a perfume turn into that scent on me.
Well with Rosamor, that's what happened.
The first time I wore it, I liked it, and I could smell the soft vanilla-rose. I thought it was great and light and very pretty. That first day wearing it, although it was such a soft fragrance, I could still smell it lingering on my skin hours later. It was nice..
But now whenever I wear it, I no longer smell the rose or anything else at all except for a talcum baby powder scent. -_- I don't know if it's meant to smell like that or it's just my chemistry. Though since it had such a nice smell the first time I wore it, it must be the latter. That makes me sad because it was so nice when I first wore it.

I might give this away to my mother. She is very picky with her fragrances. Scents that are too heavy instantly give her a migraine. But this one doesn't seem to cause any problems and she likes the soft sweet scent.

Out of the bottle I smell rose mixed with spring florals and a bit of citrus. On the skin it smells like a mixed Spring bouquet or field. Rose and Freesia are participants in the symphony, but playing along...not overpowering. Sandalwood and tobacco lends a warmth to the flowers. Almost as if warmed by the sun. The citrus feels like it's trailed in on the coat tails of a breeze. Rosamor gives me the impression of classic lady who is a hopeless romantic that enjoys a lovely day in the park with good friends or picnicking with a great book.

Rosamor is a light, romantic, and modern floral bouquet with a pleasant citrus note. The rose is very gentle here but it does not appear to be the leading note, so it would not be my first choice to recommend if you are looking for a rose perfume. On a bright side, Rosamor smells fresh, young and pretty. It is suitable for everyday use when I am not in the mood for complicated or dramatic.

The opening is fresh and citrusy with a light hint of freesia. The citrus notes work well with the floral bouquet. The heart notes do not smell like a natural rose to my nose but more like a modern, slightly synthetic floral bouquet. It is not overpowering and it smells nice and clean. The subtle musk and sandalwood are nice in the dry down. I actually like how musky notes mix with the floral bouquet. The sillage and longevity are medium.

Overall score 6.5/10. Versatile, inoffensive, light and pleasant. Nice to have but not one of the best roses in my collection.

So many people called it boring but to my nose it is way far from boring! I have a limited edition in a frosted bottle, but it should be the same scent.
I find Rosamor very bright pink rosy scent with a hint of sitrus, it provokes the same mood as Ma Dame...very refreshing and sporty.
I still can smell it after 3 hours, so it has very decent longevity.

Rosamor as a body lotion is very, very pleasant. On my skin the scent is creamy, soft as a feather and feminine. Innocent, romantic and somehow fairytale-ish. I put it on this crisp, cold, autumnal morning and as I was walking outside, the pretty rosy puffs instantly brightened up my mood. I don't know why, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that this is something Snow White would (and should) be wearing.:-).

I am wondering if Beatrice Piquet was of any relation to the famous Robert Piquet (as in the maker of FRACAS!!!!)? If so, she fell miles short of success with this boring scent. There really is not much to tell about Rosamor. It is dull, does not even present itself on the skin let alone leave a slight scent trail of you for others to appreciate. I can not imagine why anyone would bother spending money on this fragrance. It is characterless, lifeless and mundane. If you can get it to scent your skin for longer than 5 minutes you are in your own little league of women. More power to you!

"Rosamor" is a bigger part of "amor" ( warm, powdery and creamy flower notes, heliotrope, tuberose, a bit of gardenia) and a shy, tender-sweet "rosa", which is really not like the rose jelly(marmalade) we all know from the soliflore essential oil.

This is an innovative approach to the legendary flower, with amazing sillage and lasting power(about 15 hours). It illustrates very well the 'floral woody musk' group, as the musk note is quite prominent too.

Even if it's a bit too powdery for my taste, I still recommend it for musk-rose-heliotrope fans. Works best in colder seasons, I guess.

I just bought this perfume over the internet unsniffed after considering all the reviews that I read about it (positive & negative). I love flower fragrances, roses particularly and that’s the reason I decided to give this perfume a try. Rosamor is a lovely scent, unfortunately it doesn't really work with my chemistry. It doesn’t smell mostly roses, which I expected it to be. When I first applied it on my skin, i got a 'shocking' smell - a strong note of citrus. Unfortunately, my skin doesn’t really work with any citrus fragrances. Yet, after a while, it settled down into much softer – this is the part which I really like about this perfume. It smells gorgeous - a light florally scent which is very feminine. I think Rosamor is very suitable for romantic wear and also good for daily wear. Overall, I would say Rosamor is not bad; I’ll keep it in my fragrance collections. Thanks :)

Very lovely scent, a very light bright summery floral on its face. Rosamor's dry down becomes even better with its sensual tobacco flower/leaf, musk and a nice quality sandal.

I wonder why this was not more of a "hit" among perfume buyers? But then I wonder how the Original Oscar, so breathtakingly beautiful, has given way to sporty scents.

De la Renta's scents all burst with feminine sensuality and Rosamor is no exception.
