Persian Rose by Pacifica is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. The fragrance features rose, violet, myrhh and fruity notes.
A fresh citrusy rose scent, that would be great any time of year. A great buy from a great brand.
My favorite rose scent of all time. It's young, rich, slightly spicy and lasts forever! I find it quite strong, so I spray in moderation. The matching body butter and shower gel are just as wonderful. The roll-on perfume also lingers for a while and fills a room just by lightly dabbing on skin. Strong stuff!
This is awful it smells so horrible I almost got a headache smells like a musty old antique store that sells rose soap by the register.
Realistic rose!
Do not be turned off by the intial spray , just wait a sec. it drys down quite beautifully
Usually Stella is my favorite Rose perfume, but NOW, this one makes a wonderful addition
Hey, hey - not bad at all. I'm very surprised by this one too. Many, if not all, of the Pacifica perfumes (to my nose) smell either nothing like their namesake, are poorly/roughly blended and scratchy (looking at you in particular, Tibetan Mountain Temple) or have a nice opening that fades far too quickly and becomes thin and wan.
This rose, however, is really what it says it is. Smells natural, has a lovely bit of myrrh and amber to back it up (I could swear I catch a touch of vanilla too) and would be just perfect with a drop of aged, wine-like patchouli. It also has a surprisingly good amount of sillage and longevity. Best, it doesn't offend my fragrance-sensitive co-worker either, since I've subjected to her to a LOT of strong stuff (look at my wardrobe).
I might even buy another bottle and add a touch of patchouli, a smidgen of Firmenich Oud blend and a wee bit of Animalis from Synarome and see if I can create a budget Montale style rose oud.
This is so, so gorgeous! Persian Rose is an amazing natural rose scent. I actually wasn't expecting to be blown away by this one. I'm a little fussy about rose in a perfume - sometimes it can come across as too powdery, too soapy, too stuffy for my taste. But here it is dewy, velvety and luscious. It smells like the real deal. The intensive rose note is there all the way through.
In the beginning, the fruity notes help to amplify the delicate sweetness of the rose. I get the sense of juicy mandarin and perhaps some lush, tart berries. I don't get the violet coming through that strongly. It shows up to add a hint of soft powder in the heart notes, but it's the least noticeable note in the composition. The myrrh works wonderfully. It emerges in the drydown, and gives off a sourish-earthy scent reminiscent of crisp-green rose stems and fresh soil. Pacifica continues to impress me with their high-quality, natural and affordable scents. This is one of the best Pacifica perfumes I've tested yet..and so far it's my favourite floral scent from the line.
If you are a rose scent lover as I am, then I encourage you to try Persian Rose! I was looking for a natural smelling rose, and I found it! I prefer this perfume to most other rose fragrances available. When it is first sprayed, I get a wine-like opening note on some occasions and a lemon-rose scent on other days. While it is drying, the myrrh gets heady and sometimes overpowers the rose, depending on how warm I am at the time. I think body heat brings out the myrrh more on a warm day. The roses lean to the Hawaiian Punch side on cool days but they are deeply pure rose on warm days. When I'm quite warm and I apply it, I am amazed that I won't smell any lemon at all, but on a cool day I will smell quite a bit of lemon along with the rose.
I have a rose garden with some forty rose varieties in it, and I am impressed at how close Persian Rose by Pacifica comes to a myrrh scented variety I have by the name of Distant Drums. If you are not aware that roses come in a myrrh scented version, you might take a look at Distant Drums. It's a great bloomer and grower and I find the scent of its flowers quite mesmerizing!
Incredible!
Do you ever wish you could smell as sweet as a red rose, so that others passing by would sniff you?
I do, and this is true to life!
I have never smelled a rose fragrance that is so simple and yet so alluring. No synthetic smell here.
It makes you feel precious, and whenever I wear it, it almost feels spiritual, as if I am being enlightened to look at life as more beautiful than ever.
I highly recommend it.
I was trawling the net looking my next perfume fix when I came across Persian Rose by Pacifica. I have to admit Persian Rose was a curiosity buy mainly made to explore a Vegan product. It's a direction I haven’t gone in before but as an animal lover it was appealing.
I have to add this wasn't expensive and I was so prepared for a huge disappointment but upon first spray wow I was really pleasantly surprised. I immediately got a lovely opening of bright punchy notes, fruity and spicy and then a lovely deep mix of heady sweet rose surrounded by a sea of Myrrh. The Violet wasn’t really detectable but hey this is all about the rose so I didn’t mind. Persian Rose isn’t a complex masterpiece by any means but it does have a lot going for it. It’s very affordable, it’s extraordinarily lovely with a real Persian feel to it, it’s Vegan, it has good silage and longevity (not always the case with rose fragrances) and finally, I agree with another reviewer if you labelled this Montale it might just get under the radar!
Oh recently I tried Juliette Has a Gun, Lady V and I have to say this beats that hands down. Lady V ran for the hills when on me and left the building in about 10 minutes flat, this one at least hung around for the day which was definitely a plus as my skin tends to eat perfume at a rate of knots! Well done Pacifica!
To me this is a cheaper version of Une Rose from Frederic Malle. I get the same earthy, mushroomy smell. I do not get any violets or powder.
I think it is closer to Tea Rose then Lipstick Rose.
It smells a lot more natural than the latter one.
I like Pacifica's version of the classic rose. It does have a slightly fruity quality and it's definitely not an old, powdery Victorian rose. The other notes only add to the rose scent, not detract from it. It's very nice for layering with other Pacifica fragrances, like Spanish Amber.
I wore it when I got my hair done, and my hairdresser (a man) couldn't stop complimenting me on it.
I tried a few fragrances from Pacifica (again) during my grocery shopping and this one stands out the most this time. It's a very simple scent and very rosey. It's not too sweet, not too strong. It's romantic and dreamy actually. I also get a bit of citrus as well; making the scent bright and uplifting. I agree with the previous member's comment about lipstick, powdery rose accord. It can be a bit soapy after a while but it doesn't bother me. I still think this is a very nice scent. Another good one for wedding day, I think.
I love Persian Rose! I had to have the candle, soap, and lotion to match. Then I thought of buying back up bottles, but that might be a little obsessive even for me.
The rose accord is almost reminiscent of lipstick or face powder, it strikes me as vintage ( perhaps it's the dusty violets) Persian rose is unlike most rose perfumes that I have. It’s not very green like Tea Rose, nor is it a jam filled pastry rose, or a cold bitter rose. It doesn’t remind of hippie rose oil from the local head shop either.
On first spray and for most of an hour, a bright citrus note mixes with rose. It’s very sharp and friendly, but it fades leaving a smoky rose. I was also impressed with the phenomenal longevity and sillage (8-10hrs). I just love how it smells on my skin; it’s so organic and fresh like I’ve just soaked in rose petals for days. They could pour the same juice into a Montale bottle and sell it for $100+
