The house of Paco Rabanne's fragrance for men is announced as a fresh and sensual blend of notes, with glittery shine of gold, for which creator Paco Rabanne says the following: "In all civilizations and religions gold has always managed to seduce people". Gold is all around us: in architecture, design, jewelry, clothes, accessories, fashion...It is noticeable and respected worldwide and it possesses divine notes. The bottle of this edition for men is created in golden nuances. It represents power, wealth, luxury, durability...
The perfume was inspired by Paco Rabanne's metallic fashion and created in cooperation with three famous noses for perfumes, Christophe Raynaud, Olivier Pescheux and Michel Girard, who mixed this year's edition from the notes of sparkling grapefruit, red orange, mint, rose, cinnamon, spices, blond leather, blond wood, patchouli and amber.
The perfume is available in the amount of 50 and 100 ml, as an edt and with accompanying body care products. 1 Million arrived in August 2008.
1 Million 18 Carats is a LUXE edition that captures with its provocative notes, only for the privileged buyers. The package is very luxurious, made of golden body with a diamond crown. Each bottle is separately numerated and the edition is limited. The outer package – a case that holds a golden lever, is created by Noe Duchaufour-Lawrence.
Let us remind you of the fragrant composition: the perfumers behind it are Christophe Raynaud, Olivier Pescheux and Michel Girard, and the notes are: sexy blood orange, grapefruit, cinnamon, mint, rose, spices, light leather, white wood, patchouli and amber. The new bottle of 1 Million 18 carats is available in 100 ml and it can be re-filed with the perfume.

one million by paco rabanne i will review this fragrance as if when i first got it because i got this fragrance when it first came out. cinnamony sweet, cherry bubblegum is what i call it. ill skip the top notes because it does not last anyway goes directly to the middle i get the cinnamon and hint of spicy notes not dominant i dont detect the rose by the way. base i get the amber mixed with patchouli maybe a slight hint of leather but you have to look for it i dont get the woody notes at the buttom at all its just sweet overall scent from top to buttom. id say anybody can wear it to the young and old confidense is the key. its not a cloying scent compliment getter for sure. when i wear it i feel confident and classy not just a club scent IMHO majority of comments here saying its a club scent and i agree but you can wear it with confident for other special occasions as well, dates, nights out, suit and tie. lets talk originality original for sure pacos the first to introduce this scent its a best seller for a reason then the copycats came aka herrera 212 men(please) and many more you know how it is cash cowing. thats why i love it, a lot of us own it right. People are bashing it because the number one reason is gazillion people owns it, you will smell thesame thing as the other guy. I find it complimentary if you wear thesame frag as i do, so it does not bother me at all, its just saying you have taste bro. All in all for me Paco is truly ONE MILLION i love the bottle as well very unique nothing like it. Believe me in 10 years we will still be talking about this great fragrance. My rate.
longevity monster 10 plus hours on me 10/10
sillage projects heavy 9/10
uniqueness it was at one point not anymore a lot of copycats now 6/10
overall smell 9/10 well blended, compliment getter, little synthetic.
price vs quality 9/10 fairly priced based on retail, cheaper online ofcoarse
versatility id say cold weather day works better on cold nights.
I don't know why my bottle the longevity is not bad (about 6 hours) but the projection only stay about 3 hours. I asked other whether they smelt me, but they just couldn't smell nothing until I moved to sit next to them. It just.. worse than I had expected. And it is not like Monster Projection and All day Longevity like people said..
I guarantee that I have the real one, but I want some answer for my problem..
This is the new of le male by jpg modern day.
1 Million kills me, it really does. Here's this fragrance that I've had such a love/hate relationship with over the past year since I first got a whiff of it. When it was first introduced to me, I was, for lack of a more eloquent term, repulsed by it. 1 Million came across to me as a Big Red cinnamon bubble gum smell, something I'd expect teenage girls to wear quite honestly. For a while, I kept getting that impression whenever I'd smell it in a store or on another guy, hoping my opinion would change for the better - then today it did. I suddenly couldn't get that bubble gum smell from it anymore, instead the cinnamon and grapefruit popped out, and soon enough the leather and rose began to emerge. It was elegant, charming, and had a wonderful young adult vibe. I had to pick up a sample of it to test it out on my skin. If all goes well, this may end up in my wardrobe in due course.
1 Million may actually be worthy of more than the "club scent" association it has been known for. If only I were blind and didn't have to look at the gaudy bottle.
Two words:
Lady Killer.
I never get more compliments than when I wear this scent. Even when I would wear 212, I wasn't complimented as often. Women just love this sweet, cinnamon-y scent.
I HATE the bottle, though.
I own both Axis Caviar Premium and Paco Rabanne 1 Million because of this Axis Premium's lack of projection on my skin but the longetivity is really good. You can smell it for a long long time, it just around you, but to others.. the projection doesn't work very well.
Because I thought this to be the back up of my 1 Million, so I try to find the different between them by spray 1 Million on my right hand and my Axis on my left hand. I also spray these on 2 different papers. And make a comparison.
After a while I smell on both and notice the different. It not seem to be "1 million juice in a different bottle" It's different in some way. Axis Premium tried to make 1 Million, but it can't 100% the same. I used to think that these 2 are very similar (about 80-90%) But truly, it's way different.
Axis tried to combine all the same juice inside the bottle. So if you look at the perfume pyramid of these 2. You will see that 90% of ingredients of them are the same.
But after about 20 minute:
-1 Million: it turns to be deep leather scent with cinnamon, leather, mint and rose. You can find every detail notes in this. But Cinnamon and leather + Rose are the first which touch your nose.
-Axis Premium: you can't find every typical note, it just like a whole group of smell cover by Mandarin Orange. Axis Premium: this Mandarin Orange is the leader of Axis, it covers every other note in the mess.
AFTER 40 minute, and it come to the main session:
-1 Million: every notes seem to mix together. But you can notice cinnamon and leather very clear, another notes seem to mix, but the quality is here. You feel it smooth, deep, dark but not cheap and loud (compare to Axis Premium).
-Axis Premium: Mandarin Orange cover the whole 1 Million-like-scent (Million-like is described to be the cheap smell of 1 Million). It loud and easy to notice in the bubble around you. But the projection doesn't work very well.
Overall: to someone who hasn't use 1 Million, they can't notice the different, but to the one who used it, they might see some problem when they smell Axis. It is just not as smooth and deep as 1 Million.
If 1 Million did the perfume just like Axis Premium (100% alike) the name 1 Million is just some synthetic cheap sweet casual wear. And it wouldn't be so favorite in the game in the case. To one who own this, like it, just buy 1 Million. You will adore 1 Million much much more.
One of the Bests! If you want a perfume... now you know: 1 Million is the Perfume! My only doubt is about 1 Million vs CH Men
This stuff is loud and in your face at first. But then it dries down into something beautiful. BUT it tries too hard. Unfortunately it smells like it needs to be worn in the clubs by 18-25 year olds. Not for the office and Not for me. But I do enjoy the dry down.
Ok... Nice scent 7/10
The problem is that if it's not the half of the world wearing this, it would be wearing the multitude of similar scents... This is crazy... there is at least 10 identical or nearly similar smells maybe the second most famous one is C.H. 212 VIP MEN... This is really ridiculous!
Another problem is that these perfumes tend to fade out leaving just one note that lingers and lingers and lingers and sticks to you like your shadow till the point it becomes cloying and annoying... That scent lasts days even with washing...
All in all this is not a bad scent but I will never own a bottle.
As the Chinese saying : "If you do not want to feel the pain in your foot hits your head." Now I know that when I have a headache I sniff this scent, and I do not have pain in the head... but the nose.
Hogan knows what's up!!! :) This is a truly fantastic fragrance. Not everyone on here lives in a civiled, cultured, place. Some of us (at least momentarily) are stuck out here in the sticks, in the dirty South, like myself, and this fragrance (no matter how "polular" it may be elsewhere in the world) IS amazing. especially here, where Aqua Di Gio could pass as niche. 1 Million isn't "ubiquitous" without a damn good reason, people. I'm so happy I own this.
I read lots of reviews saying that everybody has one million. I live in south USA, and I have never smelled this on anybody. I'm the only one who knows about it. which is a good thing, because i don't wanna smell like errybody else. everybody i know where's aqua di gio. so, one million definitely stands out.
1. 212 VIP MAN (El aroma perfecto, adictivo y sensual)
2. HALLOWEEN MAN (Una mezcla atractiva ligera que a todos va a encantar)
3. THE GOLDEN SECRET(1 million mejorado y menos intenso)
4. ONE MILLION (Gran intensidad, lo amas o lo odias)
wow, ths s an awesome fragrance that lasts really long....also nice projection.. good for night times....
Club Club Club , Great scent if you wore it at the proper occasions
Thank God ,it's not that popular where i live
Take me to the night club scent. Projects really strong. You will be noticed wearing this. The smell is good, but not my favorite. You will be smelling a lot like other men when wearing this at the club.
When I test it before a days it begin citrusy mandarin peppermint and after 10 minutes the citrus gone and go into rosy spicy smell it very nice smell unique and deferent from other scents its like Amouage oriental scents style sillage and longevity its suprbub this is most popular scent in the world and so many people dont like it cuz that but I must say 1 million get rank 10/10
forgot to review the bottle
basically i do not like it ....even with the gold front and dark brown back doesnt do the scent justice ......it makes it seem like a wannabe scent ...the bottle definitely does not match the scent .....
a dark oak or cherrywood bottle with sublime metallic corners would have been more appropriate .
the bottle shouts for attention whereas the scent is warm honest and strong ........total mismatch
this is one for the record books .......its warm ...oh so warm and inviting......this fragrance has nothing to do with mystery and darkness , its just a honest blend of comfort warmth and security ......thats what makes it so seductive....its the complete honesty .......im strong and sensitive and im here to comfort you ,thats what it says.
there is a tone of luxury and class without being elitist or arrogant . vanilla cherry wood peach cinnamon mild spice and a tinge of incense is what im able to get in the dry down .
i love this scent but would not classify it as a signature scent unless u were a mega bucks oil sheikh with ur own yatch and private jet.
but this fragrance does have the potential to be one of the classics.......only time will tell . for me personally this is a good night out scent and between the sheets smell if you do not spray too much , which i know all u guys do ......me included.
overall from me its a 8and half/10 unique , long lasting , massive sillage , luxurious, comfortable.
in my opinion this will make heads turn but will not get you that many compliments .
bubble gum.. candy.. sweetness. thats what this is in a bottle.
and man let me tell you.. this stuff lasts forever.. 8-10 hours EASILY.. and it projects pretty dang good too.
it is more of a night time/club frag to me. so if your a man over the age of 35 i say this is not the cologne for you.. also, because of its sweetness it can be used as unisex so if your an man ages 20-35, be aware of that.. if your cool with smelling sweet, then you cant get much better than this.
i love it, personally. its not something i wear a lot.. but i LOVE the smell.
overall i give it a 9/10
Always hated the gold bar bottle and name but love the juice. Finished my bottle and have since happily moved over to 212 VIP.
1 Million by Paco Rabanne is an adolescent’s dream of what it is to be rich and cool and very sexy. Starting with the bottle you know you are in for a cheap thrill ride. Designed to look like gold bullion from Fort Knox that only Auric Goldfinger would find appealing as a perfume bottle you are hit in the face with pure commercial genius. The designers know just who they are aiming at with this design, boys who aspire to be cool. I say boys because it has a toy quality to the bottle design. To be honest it is kind of tacky fun. I can just hear Dr. Evil with his pinky to the corner of his pursed lips. “One Million Dollars in gold!”
That is the glitz, the shill to get you into the carnival of horrors that is 1 Million. It opens like a forth of July cherry bomb going off in a cardboard box with grapefruit, mint and blood mandarin. Well at least that is supposed to be there but what I get right off the bat is pure cotton candy and bubble gum. POP! It chews franticly at that bubble gum as the cotton candy machine works overtime pumping out an over sugared cinnamon, meshed in with rose and spices. In these mid notes you are somewhere between a migraine and food poisoning. But hold on, this ride is not over, not by a long shot even though you may be screaming way before the dry down “Stop Stop I want to get off!” The greasy carnie running this ride is swathed in way too much cheap leather and patchouli. He thinks he is so cool that the girls will be dropping their panties at the mere sight of him in his dry down get up. He is not paying any attention to you as he ramps up the machine with more cinnamon with a barf inducing amber undertone.
The silage is killer huge which the fan boys of 1 Million love. Let’s put it this way, if you are in Mid-Town Manhattan and someone wearing 1 Million just crossed the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey, you would certainly know he was in town. As for longevity it is the Rip Van Winkle of fragrances, I really think it would stay on the skin for twenty years. You could put it on and traces of it will linger on well into the next day.
In the end it smells like a teenager stepped in some bubble gum at a carnival and tripped while hopping around on one foot trying to get if off and fell head first into a cotton candy machine. The bottle screams “Hey look at me I have a gold bullion! Ain’t I cool?” It is the height of bad taste by the way of the lowest denominator in teenage appeal. But if you like 1 Million, then you just go to town with your bad self.

This is the perfect showman scent, loud and obnoxious in a good way. If you are over 25, you have better options in the fragrance game. This fragrance makes me picture a young rebellious stage performer, whose work is probably very controversial and the haters come in packs. The Show Must Go On, so he pays no mind to the criticism and waits for the lights to hit. There is something very youthful, rebellious and brave about this fragrance. It would take a man with such qualities to be able to pull this one off, for sure. Many cheaper fragrances have copied this one's framework, the most popular being RDLC by Lee Cooper and 212 VIP, but this one still works for the right man, given he knows how to use it.
over rated fragrance
Not so much masculine, that's why women wear it. I can't even imagine which guy-type would or should wear it?!
absolutely stupid bottle. i would be ashamed to be seen buying this. but far more egregious than that; this scent is BORING. it smells like cologne. wonderful.
Big dislike.
1. No need to call me a hater, the main reason I reject this fragrance is the scent itself. Definitely too sweet, in a vulgar way. Furthermore I hate when cinnamon gets the main role. Cloying, and unrefined.
2. The bottle is the most ridiculous I've ever seen. Looks like a toy, for little boys who enjoy showing off.
3. And finally, its popularity. Like everyone I got tired of smelling 1M at every street corner. Mainly 16 year old teenagers wearing their 1st fragrance.
Three things I'll concede though :
A. Excellent marketing campaign. 1M is a commercial success and is known by everyone. I believe you call this "hype".
B. Long lasting for sure. Monster sillage.
C. Seems to be getting compliments from the young crowd (here again, I'm not really interested).
The intense flanker is even worse (yes, that's possible).
Orange sugary sweetness.
This one last forever, and is positively thermo-nuclear in its sillage.
Loved this when it first came out and was not as popular as it is today. 4/10 guys will be wearing this if you goto a club.
Still, you can't argue with results. This one gets compliments. Lots of em.
If you have a sweet tooth, you should check this out.
Smells like a woman that used to sit in front of me in church. Her name was Audrey....she was 90.
Everyone likes to trash this fragrance, because of it's popularity but once every 5-10 years or so, a designer fragrance comes along that changes... everything. Fragrances like Fahrenheit, Le Male, A*Men, Aqua Di Gio, among arguable others. People LOVE THEM and flock to buy them because they are so different, groundbreaking, and yet wonderful. Then, once everyone has purchased a bottle, then comes the backlash. I used to trash this fragrance too, until I got a sample of it and wore it to work one day. I was amazed!!! On a card, it smells just like the old bubblegum that used to come inside 1980s baseball cards, but on me, it smelt of strawberries, cinnamon, light spices and warm vanilla. It was smooth, almost goaurmandish, sensual, and very inviting. I was complimented by a co-worker when I gave her a hug, and it reminded me of exactly how a contemporary version of Le Male should smell, groundbreaking, potent, metrosexual, delicious, and an undeniable classic that will be worn by thousands for years to come. I cannot stand the the bottle, just as many people hate(d) the packaging of Le Male as well, and many also still bag upon that fragrance, if only for it's enormous and continued popularity some 18 years later. It's not a favourite of mine, although I "like" it. I used to wear Le Male constantly until I got heavily into fragrances. I still respect it, but it's just too much for me. 1 million isn't nearly as potent, no matter what some people may claim. It's not nearly as HEAVY. Some fragrances are extremely popular, and there is a very good REASON for that. It's because the they happen to be THE VERY BEST FRAGRANCES; those that appeal to the broadest audience. If you can't handle 1 Million, do everyone a favour, throw out your bottle, shut up, buy some YSL Kouros, spray it all over yourself and call it a day. I can't wait to own a full bottle of this modern masterpiece, nor can I believe I waited so long!!!
To be fair, this is definitely not the worst fragrance I have ever smelled in my life. To me it smells like Big Red gum sat is an old brandy vat of three year old Hawaiian Punch were it was left to ferment, not necessarily unpleasant. Synthetic? Absolutely. Do ladies like? yes, because it is feminine, sorry if that offends anyone. Don't get me wrong, I do like it in the sense of I just walked into Willy Wonka's tea/candy shop in Spain and this was the incense burning But picture Bruce Willis wearing this. Right, you can't. Gerard Butler as King Leonidas? Didn't think so. To give it marks, it does have great projection and longevity. But if you wear this you will definitely be unique. Absolutely no one with the exception of your brother's cousin's nephew's former roommate wears this fragrance. It is a huge secret, so try and keep it hush hush, and remember to wear it to Thanksgiving dinner, grandma will love it.
(-_-)
I used to love it for the first month after I bought it but later on I smelt it on other guys and it just disgusted me! Don't know the reason for that but ever since I just couldn't wear it anymore and threw it away even though it was still almost full.
I smelled a tester of this at dillards yester day and wow. All I have to say is if you want females to run away from you then this is t fragrance for you. I am a woman and I found this to be horrible
Let me first start off by saying what a gorgeous masterpiece this fragrance is. It really does the job when it comes to garnering compliments, projecting, and lasting. You'll get at least a full 12 hours out of this bad boy, but be forewarned: DO NOT OVER SPRAY! The cologne opens up with a fruity top that blends with a sweet and spicy middle, and finally dries down into a woody/ambery base. I give the cologne a 9/10 since it is a masterpiece, but can get cloying and can easily be over-applied.
Today I learned how much it could be repulsive! while I was going to office by subway and a middle aged man wore it and sat by my side. I wanted to throw up! Recently I've finished a flakon of this and wanted to repurchase. But now seriously stay away. No doubt it is a great scent but I believe that designed for under 22 y/o guys. It is offensive for office and daily use. Only night time clubbing and parties.
Oh gosh the worst scent that I've ever smelled so far. God this is disgusting. It smells awful. I'm a woman and personally I cant stand to stay close with a man who wears this. A man should smell like a man not like sugary trash can.
The scent in a nutshell is spicy bubblegum.. Not bad, however my refined nose is slightly offended by a pungent synthetic note that I pick up.. I appreciate more of a complex blend, but for the youngsters or young at heart this might be worth a spritz or two.. Not my cup of tea but it has Some potential.... Maybe.
It is a wonderful perfume, I used to wear it, although it is supposed to be for men. Ambery, Woody, Sugary, Spicey, Lovely :-)
This fragrance is the sweatest and also the strongest which i ever had...I think this fragrance is too strong, less is sometimes more...anyway i like it
It's a shame that so many people hate it. I agree, yes it is too mainstream, but you know what? The girls love it!!!
This is very feminine IMO. I liked it when it first came out but now when everybody uses it I cannot stand it!
One million is a very popular night time and clubbing fragrance for young guys. Walk into a night club at the weekend and you will smell this and that is the sad thing about this fragrance you can't be unique with it.
For the scent it is pretty much like bubble gum or fresh blue clouds. The opening is slightly fresh from the orange. It settles into the bubble gum type note and doesn't really change much. I do sense a warmth behind the bubble gum. This is the spices and they do give a slight masculinity to the scent but only very slight.
Projection and longevity is insane which is probably one reason why its popular at clubs. I really like the gold bullion bottle as well.
In the dry down the scent just becomes warmer with the amber and a hint of woods in there so it doesn't really change much. It is a good scent I like it but anyone over 30 will probably not. The new intense version is better in my opinion in every way. visit my site mrproductreview.com
This is a mess. Hideousness in a bottle. Cheap, cloying, pungent and - did I say cheap? No manners whatsoever.
Naturally, it's enormously popular.
I have a sample bottle of this I'll give to the spouse of somebody I don't like.
The bottle goes for Fort Knox but hits Las Vegas instead.
One million is definitely the one among millions of perfumes out there. Its freshness, mild, light, bubble gummy essence puts me in a very refreshing and easy mood. It gives me pleasures of harmoney and delights. It makes people tracted towards me, compelling to ask what am i wearing. My signature, best to be worn on parties, semi-formal events. If you wear it on a very casual event you are absolutely humiliating and damaging the legacy of this masterpiece.

Smells like guavas the whole time. I guess that's good...
I don't like this fragrance simply cause one of the only reasons guys wear it is to pull chicks. This was worn by someone who broke my heart and since then I've associated this scent with players and club studs. Its become too common and I smell it on every man in the street, club, bar etc. For me, they always seem to be the same kinda guys too (you know the guys who wear Gucci hat, Louis Vuitton shoes, hairgel, ralph lauren t shirts), at least for me anyway. I ask them, 'why do you want to smell like every other man out there?' They always give me the same answer: 'because girls seem to like it'. To be honest I don't blame women for finding this irresistable, it exudes that bad-boy image other woman love, but it does get a bit ridiculous when your fella smells like every other man! Note to men, don't wear a fragrance based on what other people think! It comes across as desperate to me in my opinion. Armani Code for men is the one for me. I've yet to smell it on even one fella let alone every guy out there!
This is the new Obsession for Men or Joop. It's the one that smells different among the department store colognes.
With that said, it's not bad. Sort of a fruity cinnamon roll with insane projection and longevity. I dig it, but prefer not to smell it the next morning.
Yeah dear Jenny you should remove your comment.
After all I think you don't really know any real Italian guy or have ever visited Italy!!
Too classy for people like you I guess!
Next time you go to Milan or Rome I suggest you don't ever step in any obnoxious Prada or Fendi (but the list of Italian designers is endless) boutique cause I'm afraid they would be off limits to you.
You kno what? You are not even worthy
@genny17...you should remove your racist comment. If you replaced "italian" with any other nationality or race it would be unacceptable. Why is it ok in this case???
cheap and distgusting!!!!!! i won't even use it in my wc! rubbbbbbbbbbbbbish scent made for mobs!!!!!!
THE DADDY OF ALL FRAGRANCES. I have not met one guy who didn't have a hard on for this fragrance. I bought a 100ml 2 years ago from boots for £40 its a bit pricey but im glad I bought it. This is a must buy for every male that loves strong scents, I use it mainly for weddings and parties, it gives you a rich feeling once you wear this scent on your body and it smells amazing. Perfect mix of herbs & spices that you will love, and the bottle design is amazing, its a big gold brick lol just love it, give it a try you will not be disappointed.
I enjoy a lot of different fragrances for a lot of different reasons. Some of the fragrances I wear because I personally like them, others because they're not offensive and fit the time or location, others because of the compliments I receive. After spending an hour in Sephora with a female friend of mine and doing blind smell tests until we were both nauseated, there was something about this fragrance that continued to stand out. I think the initial 30 minutes to an hour that you wear it, that is definitely what this is trying to do. "Standout". It is so strong if overused it can send people running for air, however after the third of fourth hour it is forgiving and still tends to attract compliments with its delicate sweetness and warm and inviting spiciness. A lot of people dog it on this site and that's okay. I think we all have a unique chemistry and you choose which fragrances work with you and which don't. For example I wear this with two sprays and I get compliments from people at work, I loaned it to my father to try out and my mother couldn't even ride in the same car with him. But one thing that I've noticed is when I accidentally sprayed on my shirt or sweater, the next time I put it on it smells great and doesn't even need to be reapplied. If you look at the longevity ratings, there's no question this is probably one of the longest lasting fragrances I've ever owned. That, in itself if you like it, justifies the price. But the other reason I like it is for the obvious attraction to our significant other. If put on gently and then going out for four hours, whenever I come back for that snuggle time my girlfriend with a very picky nose is always sniffing my neck and telling me how wonderful I smile. My for me is a sense of accomplishment and makes me feel like "1 million". After I bought my first trial run of this in the small .68 ounce bottle, not the big obnoxious gold bar, two girls on my way checking out commented, "Oh, 1 million! Love that." So I think as the reviewer a few post behind me said, some men will hate this, but most women will love it, I just think you have to find the right balance of how many sprays (two - four), allow at least 30 minutes for some of the top notes to die down, and find the time when it really hits its stride. Some people think the sillage is a little too strong (it could almost pass for an EDP), again this can be a factor of if you spray it on your wrists, neck, scarf, but I do think that it can be enjoyed by just about anyone and you will be happy with the "what are you wearing?" questions all night.
It could perfectly replace flash/stun grenades in the hands of riot police!Imagine a bottle of this shattering in the middle of a bunch of tight packed people...All of them flashed/stunned and above all marked for the next 12 hours therefore sooo easy to be identified and arrested!Need more proof that this WTF brew CANNOT be used for any good?
Men hate it, women love it. What's new?
The only reason this is popular is because it has good longevity and projection for the price. Its not hard to come up with something that smells good. It smells like candy. like fruit punch mixed with cinnamon hearts. wow, a masterpiece? no, but it does smell good. If you want to experience a masterful and complex scent take a look at armani code.
I enjoy Guerlain Vetiver, Gucci Pour Homme II (very soon to be acquired), Prada Man, and Chanel Bleu among others. Some highly regard the scents I just mentioned, others do not. Have i smelled all the niche scents out there, no. Do i like Dior Homme and the iris note, no! My point is that you can still enjoy SOME of the "sophisticated" or at least well regarded scents out there and still have a fondness for 1 million.
Maybe it is just my skin but I have had more compliments wearing his fragrance than all of my other fragrances combined. These are compliments from men and women that are completely unsolicited and spontaneous. Maybe because I work 2.5 jobs I haven't ever smelled this on anyone else. Even the few times I have gone out wearing it I was exclusive. At least to my knowledge. Maybe it is, like always, a chemistry thing. Honestly, I like la Nuit de L'Homme better than this but it seems to work for me.
I feel application here is key. I use two small sprays to each side of neck like reviewer said below. Other times I use aftershave and one spray to neck. Projection is nice but non-offensive and lasts over 12 hrs. Honestly the only drawback is I get kinda tired of smelling it after 10 freaking hrs.
I am by no means a connesieur but continue to feel this is an excellent fragrance. Yes it has a time and place. Rock-star stuff. When you wear it, just wear it with swag.
Edit: Ok, I have just had a break through. I now appreciate the iris in Dior Homme. I have been sampling/testing for months. Beautiful. First, I want Dior Homme Sport 2012 though since it is spring here. It may become my signature from April until September. It will also bridge my iris fix from medium to full blast when I aim to purchase Homme in the fall. Wow.
Its ok. Something I would not rebuy. To keep the review short and sweet, juicy fruit gum.
You have to be insane not to love this scent. As a collector this is a must have. I trust the nose of youtube reviewer like Marc the guru, Al street scent, Dradoc, Miguel before I convinced by reviews from this site.
Not a awful scent, synthetic sure, but as noted before I have never had a lady tell me I smelled synthetic, just great or bad, lol. Now on to the scent, I for some reason in my sample get a Versace Dreamer vibe...This is the new Aqua di Gio in terms of everyone in the club wearing it. Save your money and get something a little more distinctive.
Synthetic non-sense. It cannot be more horrible. The cheapest out of the cheap. As Alfarom put it, they should have called it "One Cent".
I cannot imagine people buying it having ever heard of such name as Guerlain.
Disappointed - far too thick, sweet and heavy for me.
Smells like bubble gum or candy. Fruity but in a very artificial way. Not necessarily a bad thing. This stuff does smell quite good. Good for night out or any kind of party.
Projection: 10/10 Beast mode. Dont overspray. Pungent stuff.
Longevity 10/10 24 hours plus no joke.
Warning:If you overuse this stuff you will get tired of it very quickly. When I first got this I thought it was the best thing ever and I wore it frequently only to get very sick of the smell a few months later. At one point I couldn't wear it at all because the smell made me feel dizzy .
Overall 8/10
Good for what it is. A Club banger/lady killer
I think the leather note here in 1 million is pretty clever. It makes the scent much more "round" and kind of waxy/rubbery. Kind of the same effect as the leather in Bvlgari Black has. I don't directly smell leather such as the blood mandarin, but it's effect on the whole composition is prominent.
Now, many tend to compare 1 million to Joop! Yeah I do agree they are similiar when it comes to target audience, sillage and longevity... and cinnamon. Yes Joop! is usually described as overly sweet but I find that 1 million is light years sweeter. In Joop! the sweet nuclear bomb of the top notes are hastily broken down by the super spicy cinnamon and cardamom leaving the scent rather dry and semi-sweet. 1 million in turn starts very soft and and evolves calmly from top to the heart without punching you in the face all the time. The top of 1 million is like the heart but a little more citrus minus leather. That "bubblegum" -note is there from top to base and that is exactly what fails in this perfume. I don't get much cinnamon but only super sweet and cloying orange bubblegum.
1 million is very feminine, in fact, it's more feminine than masculine. Many say that Joop! is unisex and feminine but I strongly disagree. Yes Joop! is sweet but it also has a very masculine edge brought by an infusion of cinnamon, cardamom, tonka and patchouli. Yes, 1 million does have cinnamon and patchouli but they aren't sharp enough to bring the masculinity. The scent is way too soft. So yes; this fragrance is for women or at least unisex.
I sprayed both Joop! and 1 million on my wrist and after 12 hours 1 million was already gone while Joop! was still strongly pulsing that dry spiciness. The "sillage" is pretty much the same on both but like said the longevity of 1 million is inferior to that of Joop!'s. Notable also is that I've had L'eau par Kenzo on my elbow for 18 hours now and I can still smell it better than 1 million, which has completely vanished so maybe it's just my skin that hates Paco.
Joop! is better if you want something bolder and make a statement. 1 million is superior to Joop! if you wish to smell good but don't want to stick out of the crowd. Real men wear pink, those who try to be men wear 1 million. Enough said.
A nice scent that is a victim of it's own succes.
Sweet and sexy pretty much sums it up for me. Girls love this stuff, and despite it being common, if you have the chemistry for it, it changes to smell somewhat different, yet still retaining its sexy base and aura.
8/10
Oh and it lasts over 12 hours on me.
This fragrance is one of the best made ever! There are three things about the fragrance that I'd like to say, the rest are said by other reviewers.
one, about the bottle. I am surprised how people see the bottle in a negative way, even a reviewer has said that one million is a victim of its bottle!!! OMG! In my opinion, the bottle is the strongest positive point about this fragrance after its scent. The bottle is unique and eye catching. Not only will it stand out among other bottles, its image will be set permanently in minds of anybody who's seen it only for once! How can a bottle serve better from aesthetic point of view?
two, this fragrance is unisex? Doesn't matter at all! It perfectly suits a man, full stop. It's not woody or spicy, so it's feminine? Not so sure.
three, I usually don't believe in versatility, in other words, to me versatility is not an issue as the scent and longevity are. However, I'd say it is one of the most versatile fragrance you can ever get.
To conclude, I believe this fragrance is a MASTER PIECE.
Smells wonderful, yes, but not like man should smell.
A friend wearing this would be ok, a lover though...
To me (and the rest of the world?), a fragance it's not just about the smell, but also about the bottle. Turns out, as I don't like wearing popular scents, I avoid the ones in gorgeous bottles unless I am really in love with it because I know I will smell it everywhere, and this is a bummer, right?
1 Million is one of those perfumes, a victim of it's own bottle.
This perfume is so different from other men perfumes, but at the same time this is so good, fresh and delicious and it certainly gives a good mood instantly when you smell it on a man behind you. I really like it specially for summer or spring. Nice and easy, I would say. Only its longevity is not so good, I don't know why.
I find this scent to be extremely overpowering but in a good way. I've never found a male scent so strong that I've loved so much. Whenever someone walks past me in the street wearing this scent it just makes me want to turn around and snuggle up to them.
This is definately a unisex fragrance and, in my opinion, one of the best ever made. Very intoxicating. I get many compliments from men and women. I honestly do not believe in this "it's for a man" or "it's for a woman" theory. If you like the smell of a fragrance and it makes you feel good and you love the smell, and get compliments, then a person should wear exactly what they want! <3
Ladies around me hate this stuff cuz it is too damn strong.
Monster sillage, very long lasting but too sweet. If you are a clubber, this is the way to go. It fills the room. The women love it...
I bought a 100ml bottle very cheap. I tested and passed. It's not for me.
For me one of the best perfume ever.....simply perfect 10/10 :)
I know I am deeply in the minority on this one, but I just don't understand the love for this one. Overly sweet and sugary bubblegum is not really what I want to smell like. If you guys are finding that ladies really like it, well I can sure understand wearing it for that reason! But I have given it a couple of wearings and I feel like I will attract ants and bees! Sweet/vanilla frags are not my thing anyway though.
If a guy ever says; "Tonight i'm gonna spray my 1 million juice. Aww yeah.". Then, it's most definitely a double entendre.
Just read some of the reviews on this - wow, from a womans perspective this aftershave is lovely really nice and musky - its up there with JPG.
I just wonder how anyone in their right senses of smell and intuition would say this perfume is, or smells bad. Some are even condemning the exquisite bottle. So what if the whole world wears it, what does it go to show.....come on, guys?? Pleeeease get another perf to condemn, and for God's sake- Get a LIFE!!!! 1 Million thumbs up, Paco!
I like it but on me it smells like hawaiian punch...but made with better ingredients.
For many boys only reason why they wearing this- so many girls adore this scent!
So rich, strong, but same time light because of that playful character! Adorable scent, I like it.
Good.

***** Out of this world
Buy it or lose it. Lasts about 16 hours.
من وان میلیون رو دوس دارم البته فقط برای فصل سرما،انرژی زیادی بهم میده ،در تابستان فکر میکنم باعث بشین اطرافیان از شما فاصله بگیرن چون باعث سردرد و ...... خواهد شد
A victim of its own success, it's everywhere (and mainly worn by 16-20 year old boys). It's a nice fragrance, and like the Carolina Herrera VIPs, it's sweet, strong and young.
Perfect for a night out on the town.
Girls I know like it, but hate how many million guys wear it....but every girl is wearing Flowerbomb, so what's the problem ;)
I LUV this frag it is long lasting , BUT ! EVERYBODY USE IT , I SMELL IT EVERYWHERE !! it became soo BORING
This is such a night on the town fragrance.
Judging by the reviews, more seems to dislike as it is being used by so many ( that should tell you if it's good or not then, shouldn't it? lol )
I guess it's hit or miss depending on your style.
I picture, again, the night on the town couple to the club scene guy wearing this.
This is great, everybody and their moms have it (sometimes literally), but you cannot say this smells bad. If you are thinking more about exclusivity then this is not for you cuz its maintream now. But still every time I smell it on someone else (alot of times) I think to myself, thats a great scent . Fresh, loud, sweet and sexy. Women love this. Dont overspray it and you will be good, one of the things I love is that people still ask me what Am I wearing?
It's boring and too heavy, generic and synthetic for me.
In Hungary and East-Europe gipsies wear this.
long lasting cologne... good stuff, u get what u pay for on this one!!!!
this is truly a bad perfume for young people... i tested it and it seems like really heavy cinammon like scent... i really didnt like it. :/
Why it is named as 1million? Because every million around you wear it.
I really love it! sweet, strong and synthetic, but appreciable and praised. ideal for big parties!
In my opinion, this fragrance deserves 10 in all aspects.
Even though this is a fragrance for a man, I wear this myself. I absolutely love this fragrance. The patchouli, spice and lemon make such a great combination. And even though musk is not listed, I could swear that it's in there. Anyway, for a man or not, it is perfect for me. :)
I don’t understand the rave for this fragrance. It’s too synthetic, sweet and cloying. My nose can’t take it. Every time I wore 1M it gave me nausea. My nose took a real beating with this one, it made me temporarily lose my sense of smell every single time I had this on me. I felt the strong effects of this fragrance in my nose and in my throat.
Paco Rabbane made a great job in marketing 1 Million, a young handsome man well dressed in fancy designer clothing, a fancy car, beautiful women around him, money, success, cameras, fame…and all the things men dream of. Besides all this, it received great reviews.. I was sold!! I jumped in the wagon like many others blind buying this fragrance but it was such a disappointment!! The bottle looks better in picture, very cool idea but it's made out of cheap plastic, first sign this was not going to end up good. Then it was the testing, I did not get the "love" so many men were raving all about. I really tried to like it but it was too much of everything. I gave up on it after 2 short weeks, then sold it on eBay.
I respect the ones who love this fragrance. We all have different tastes and if this works for you that’s great but for me, this is just an overrated fragrance that owns its success to a great marketing campaign.
This is a beautiful scent, if you know how to use it. I always apply only two sprays on my neck. This is "safe" way how to use this parfume. If you do it like that, it´s not overpowering at all and you don´t need to be worry about the (negative) reaction of others.
There is a lot of haters of this parfume just because people dont know what´s the right way of using one million.
عالیییه بهترین عطریه که تا به حال داشتم،خیلی با بوش حال میکنم یه جورایی مستم میکنه خیلی خوشبو شیرین و جذاب تو یک کلمه
I wouldn't go into depths and details regarding this beautiful fragrance as most of you out there have somehow smelt this somewhere or know what it smells like.
I'm just writing this here to let you know that this had lasted on my clothes for 3 whole days with just two sprays....and was still projecting...yes.
One of the very few male fragrances out there that is composed almost entirely of natural ingredients. So if you want to spend 50-90 dollars on any fragrance, go for this absolute titan of projection and longevity.
NOTE: This is very hard to get for significant discounts. Very well made knock-offs are available online and on stores. You wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Spend the few extra cash and get the genuine one from departmental stores. I hate paying over 40$ for any fragrance, but this is totally worth it given this could last you over a year.
You just can't hate this fragrance as not even for a second in the entirety of its lasting does it smell other than amazing. Reason to hate it? ..2 out of 5 dudes on Earth owns this frag. Another reason one could hate it...excessive cinnamon and sharp leather notes. For me personally, it works extremely well.
If you are looking for cheaper alternatives compromising on longevity and sillage, check these out: Antonio Banderas The Secret and The Golden Secret, Ted Lapidus Black Soul and Black Soul Imperial and Franck Olivier Passion Man. for 18-30 dollars for largest sizes (online prices), you'd get almost identical smells.
will have this tomorrow
Its actually not a 1 MILLION scent but a 1 CENT.it should be renamed as paco rabanne 1 cent. The smell is not that bad but its CHEAP
By now I got so many samples of this. It's like they desperately want to sell it to you. I never liked it. Although I'm trying each sample, because I wonder why so many people like it, I still don't get it. It's light, it's average, it's not comfortable and all that is "luxurious" about it, is the advertisment.
Very modern and groundbreaking fgragrance which took me about a year to realize how great it is.It has superb longevity and it's very warm and suits more for the cool wheather .Very elegant and sweet which smells different on each skin.In my opinion it's very versatile and fashionable.I love this kind of smell, reminds me office or coffee shop, smell of leather, coffe and tobacco with cookies and candies, but more of everything it has a smell of the brand new leather wallet or briefcase.Great fragrance, great smell!Part of my wardrobe.
The money you are paying to buy 1 million the result is you are getting a beautiful looking bottle for your showcase. But for others like JOOP Homme , you are paying for real manly fragrance, no penny for the bottle. Without the beautiful looking bottle 100 ml of 1 million will cost not more than $1,I think so, because it smells like chewing gum. I suggest every body if you need a gold bar showpiece then you buy 1 million, but if you want to buy a perfume then please don't buy this, please don't waste your money. The manufacturer realizes that without giving a beautiful looking bottle nobody will buy this sort of perfume. So they make a showpiece gold bar bottle to cheat / attract people. Whenever you see an expensive showpiece bottle for any perfume you better be sure that the manufacturer wants to sell their cheap perfumes by giving an expensive beautiful showpiece bottle. I can challenge if they put this perfume in a normal bottle (like JOOP Homme bottle) nobody will buy this. The object of using perfume is the fragrance not the bottle.
i bought a 5oml bottle and i didn't get that strong projecting scent ppl was talking about and i sprayed it like 5imes and no 1 smelled it on me...i checked the batch number it matched the bottle number but i dont like it to much...maybe mines is a fake. i didn't buy it from this site.
Very nice smell, smells very luxurious. I get loads of complements whenever i wear it :) I think it's just hated on because it's popular and everyone seems to be wearing it
I tried this under strong recommendation of the cologne salesman at Macy's. I did not like it on me at all. I think it's too fruity and has too much cinnamon. Plus the bottle is super tacky.
if u wanna smell like a tomato soup, use this.
bad choise
This stinks, way too fruity and cinnamon ugh, teenage boy scent.
The hype over this scent is ridiculous!
To me, it starts out very nice. Candied orange, just the way I like it. After a while, the cinnamon starts to peek through. Well, that's also just the way I like it, since I'm a huge cinnamon lover. But 3 hours after applying the fragrance, all hell breaks out..
A huge armé of stinky old leather shows up, attacking the beutiful sweet candied blood orange-cinnamon combo. The war begins!
The opening is getting attacked by the drydown. A few minutes later, the stinky old leather armé wins the fights. They are beginning to settle down, soon it's all about the leather.
I'm 6 hours in, the projection is a little above average at this point, still very noticeable for the people around me.
What I want you to do is to find yourself a hobo that hasn't showered for the past couple of years. Ask him to take his socks off. Take his socks and put it in a blender/mixer. Then, add a huge dose of old leather. Find yourself the smallest spoon there is and fill the half end of the spoon with cinnamon. Throw that little spoon of cinnamon in the blender together with a tiny drop of orange juice. Start the blender and let it blend all of those things for a few minutes. The result? ONE MILLION IN THE DRYDOWN! :DDDDDD
The opening is great, I'll give you that. Longevity is 16+ with beast projection up to 6-7 hours until it dries down to a moderate projection. Everything after the 4th hours is beyond naaaasty.
Mike.
Like the bottle, this fragrance is in-your-face loud and a bit tacky (in my humble opinion). Mostly I get hours of sweet cinnamon bubble gum. Or perhaps more aptly CINNAMON BUBBLE GUM!! Try CK Obsession, Joop Wolfgang Joop, or Boucheron Jaipur for more sophisticated takes on cinnamon.
I begin to hate it, first it was my fav scent in 2008, but now I don't like it 'cause every man wear this fragrance or the copy of this:(
This smells horrible you can always tell when a man is wearing it, overpowering sickly fruitiness from a teenager, much prefer black XS to this.
I find this smells like sweet candy, very powdery, sugary candy. I asked the clerk for something earthy, woody, nutty and he gets me to smell this super-sweet candy fragrance?? No thank you. I don't smell the masculinity in this at all, I smell a potpouri/candy dish and I'm not interested in waiting around for the base notes to finally take over from this sickly sweet smell. The base notes don't work in this at all for me blended with these higher notes... it's just way too overpowering, like walking into Lush with all those bath bombs.
The smell of this scent is really good. The main problem about this fragrance is not inside itself, but in the folks that dont know how too use it. Here, in Rio de Janeiro, i often see guys using this in a heat of almost 40 celsius. This is a night club perfume, made for cold weather...
Smell - 9/10
Longevity - 10/10
Projection - 11/10 ;) Its bizarre...
Versatility - 3/10
Moderately priced sexy fragrance. Smells good with my body chemistry.
smelt this at macys, wanted it.
looks at the price tag, didn't want it anymore.
I think JOOP HOMME is better than 1 million. The bottle of 1 million is better than the bottle of JOOP HOMME.The fragrance of JOOP HOMME is much much better than 1 million. The price of JOOP HOMME is better than the price of 1 million. I think the price of 1 million is higher because of it's expensive bottle. But the object of using perfume is the fragrance not the bottle. So in my openion JH is better than 1M.
Frankly I strongly consider this fragrance one of the most overrated fragrances out there, many put this on their top 10 but I frankly cant stand the smell, I have a pretty wide variety of colognes in my collection, though I gave it many tries I simply could not pull the trigger to get it. Think twice, I would not buy this as a blind buy.
Why the comparisons with Joop? Joop is like that hard, old, cheap candy on your grandmothers table that no-one has touched in 10 years. 1 Million is fantastic. A shame everyone wears it though...
Thanks for the quick replies guys! Really appreciate the informative input!
@atikuzzamzn Lol! 1 million by Paco Rabanne for KIDS :P So that is +1 for Joop! :D
@devilluvzme now that sounds bad :/ :O +1 for 1 million!
Note: This is going to be my first designer perfume buy thought I'll just let you guys know :)
Not so good at all.
I was just wondering in the drugstore today how many men will receive this scent as a Christmas gift... Probably 1 million.
In 2008 I thought this was a real hottie. It still is, but if I want to be honest I was more attracted to it when not every incapadle adolescent or wannabe used it. It reminded me of authentic manly men who can make a statement, but now I couldn't take a man over 35 seriously if he wore 1m.
Oh boy, I did love this one. It reminded me of burning embers. One of my classmates used to have this (snitched it from dad, needless to say, he wasn't the right guy for such a perfume...) and his scent would climb on everything and everyone he came across. I even sensed 1m on people who just met him in a break. He would reapply and reapply constantly during the day and never miss the chance to show off with wearing a Paco Rabanne. This was the time I started hating "Millionmen".
With this perfume the secret lies in the doses. Used modestly, people will want more of it - and more of you, but when overused, everyone around will end up like me: being fed up with it.
I'm really sorry for those guys who represent 1m's concept because now they have to find another great, unusual scent to go around with. For the others: FYI, girls might love this scent, but not on anyone...
my boyfriend's signature scent that's why I am biased. If I weren't in love with him and had smelled it first on someone else,I would've hated it probably. But right now I love catching sniffs of it anywhere I go (as it is very popular) cause it reminds me of my bf. Yet I still think it is overpowering and a bit too sweet for a man, but shhhh... don't tell anyone :)
This is another overrated fragrance. It smells decent, but smells like bubble gum. I had a sample and gave it to my nephew. He didn't even know why someone would wear it.
This is awesome spicy and sweet fragrance. I cannot really put in words what it smells like as it changes through out the hours. Something along the line of a mysterious leather scent, sweet fruit covered in spices. Very delicious if you ask me. I wanted to ask: Has Anyone seen the Paco Rabanne 1 Million SEX IN THE CITY set? I just seen it and it's really cheap. I just wonder if it's real or fake. Thanks guys
It is VERY unfortunate that this is one of the most HATED-ON frags out there...One of my favorite Designer brands, HANDS DOWN. The ONLY reason I may potentially have to let this one go is because it is becomeing too popular...There's nothing I can't stand more than smelling like the guy next to me on the train...Otherwise, this juice would hold a permanent spot in my arsenal!
sid2895
dude, pls dont ever go for joop homme
it is vile and horrible
i fear to use it as even a bathroom spray
one million is a million times better than that
1 million has no match with JOOP Homme. Search the market & you will find the truth.1 million has a common chewing gum fragrance. But Joop ? Real manly , real dashing , heroic , damn handsome, real 1 in a million fragrance. The age of chewing chewing gum is bellow 13 years .These teenages boys may like 1 million frangrance . But above 13 years I can challenge they will not like chewing gum fragrance. All they want is something manly, something heroic, something dashing, something like the J....O....O....P Homme. The name of 1 million should be........... "KIDS 1 MILLION"
Joop!(!!!!!) Homme vs 1 Million
According to you guys which one would smell better on a teenager?
Thanks
Cheers :)
I suggest paco rabanne - Don't make your manufacturing cost higher by making an expensive bottle. For your expensive bottle your 1 million costs $ 41. If you put this perfume in a normal bottle your cost would be $ 20( ofcourse with profit ). So it will be affordable for everybody to use your perfume. Honestly 1 million is not such a fragrance that should cost $40-$50.
It is a trend to hate this perfume... Dont listen to anyone! Listen to your nose!
This smells cheap and it lingers in the air. Its so over powering and just not something I want to smell. Its a really annoying scent. Its like a teenage boy trying too hard.
I wouldn't want to smell this on any man of mine. It doesn't stink but it's not outstanding. It's quite common for an extraodinary price. Call me a wet blanket, but all I really get from from sniff of it is vanilla.
However I really like it it's just a pity almost ever guy seems to wear this.. I have a old, grumpy math teacher and he said he has this one too.. I always has a picture in my head of attractive, confident guys who wear this but he completely ruined it for me.
This perfume is highly spectacular.
It has a deep aroma, but still manages to be extremely pleasant.
Your smell is really innovative, yet inserted on current trends.
In my opinion, all perfumes Paco Rabanne (man or woman), are amazing, conveying an image of self confidence, charm and playfulness.
But what is most striking in perfumes Paco Rabanne is their longevity and projection.
This scent lasts and lasts and lasts .... with a huge projection.
No doubt that I very much want to have this wonderful 1 Million.
it's wonderfull cologne.i just can't enough of this one.i buy very perfumes in my life but without hesitate this one is best of all.oh men i love it. i buy this for 3 times.it has wonderfull scent and last longing for ever.i give this 10/10.
it's best choice for sprig,winter.
The most wonderful and distinctive mens fragrance Ive ever smelled.
This is not a manly perfume. It smells like "Vix"-- pain relief balm.
NOT A BAD FRAGRANCE BUT NOT A GOOD ONE EITHER
I bought it... I use it once... it did the job the chic was all over me all night. And that's it. Almost never use it again (I must have a full bottle). By the time i did the purchase I didn't know about the hype (and yes there is a hype)...
I smell sweet nice (bubblegum) and that's it... on second thought it's like a "generic le male or something"
Longevity / Sillage: 5/10
My Total Score: 4/10
Read some reviews online and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. So I did the "blind" purchase. It wasn't disappointing. In my opinion, it smells great. Just be careful on how much you spray on. It also lasts a long time.
This is my 2nd review on 1 Million.
I'm a twentysomething female.
A nice'n'sweet cherry almond scent.
Sits comfortably on my skin,
actually feels pretty well-rounded
and not sharp at all.
It doesn't bring about the infamous
sillage that many fragrance lovers report.
A good mood fragrance!
spray on can sometimes smell like bubble gum but it turns into some mysterious very enjoyable semi-floral type
This has a million reviews. So I'll restate that this fragrance does have a very distinct bubblegum note. Like Hubba Bubba. All the cinnamon and spices redeem it, but you've got to be ok with smelling like pink bubblegum.
Great perfume, strong and long-lasting, but unfortunately it is extremely popular even nowadays and many people have it.
I'm sorry, I really am. I have tried and tried to like this one, but I just cannot do it.
Opening: Oof. Its like getting punched by some pungent eastern absolute from a black market in Bangladesh. Just too much. The citrus bites then flees quickly in the heavy presence of patchouli and amber. Top notes, meet basenotes; what middle notes?
Sillage: Combustible. I feel like I could flick a match next to someone wearing PR1M and the room would blow up. Can be smelled for miles. It doesn't tickle your nose pleasantly, it dresses it in a leather thong and spanks it with a chain.
Longevity: God almighty. It never ends. PR1M lasts for days on clothing, and a good 5-6 hours on skin. Maybe its best, or worst, attribute.
Best for: Starting a campfire, dispersing a crowd of rioters, killing a skunk or clubbing in europe.
Overall: The smell might be better if the top notes and amber notes were toned down to allow the mid-notes to fully develop. That would allow a much mellower and subtler transition to the full weight of the smell. But barring divine intervention, there may be no hope for this one. Its like a drunken one night stand with a fat girl in the backalley of a Turkish bazaar; memorable in all the wrong ways.
2.5/10
1 million is a lovely masculine fragrance that lasts.
If you like 1 Million.....try VOI Jeans for Him....it's very close in my opinion, at a fraction of the price.
Smelled this when I was chillin at my friends place. You can say it was love at first snif :D Bought a bottle the next day. Don't think I need anything to say about the longevity and projection of this scent cause it is beast!
Extreme, what is wrong with this? overhyped? first 20 mins amazing, and then not so? lie!. This fragrance have it all. Strong, sexy, Projection, longevity, fresh and spicy? yes.. Dirty sweet? Oh sure, this is some sexy stuff, ou of me 150+ bottle collection, the BEST opening ever,
Smell: 8.5.
Longevity: 8.5.
Projection: 8.5.
Sex,Class,intense, ready go!.
A lot of people I know have 1 Million and man, what a shame that is. I really don't like this, at all. Maybe it's the cinnamon, I don't know. I can actually appreciate the Lady Million version, but this? No..
Not so good. I think JOOP Homme is much much better than this. 1 million smells like chewing gum.
Everyone has it. In every club you can smell it. It has already been ripped off. But it smells great! It's actually wonderful. I dont care about others using it, i just find it gorgeous. A must have. Thumbs up.
It would be great if all frgrances had such longevity ,.. I just find it over powering and it starts to give me a headache..Joop , Le Male, if you like these type of frgrances then 1 Million will be for you..
is this perfume suitable for a 20year-old guy?
این عطر مناسب یه جوون 20 ساله هست؟
I resisted this for a long time because I thought the bottle was rediculous. Finally I tried it and wow!!! I'm glad I did. For me, it's just the right combination of spicy masculinity, and sweetness. The drydown is amazing, as is the longevity. The bottle is even starting to grow on me.
The best overated hyped fragrance out there. You could not go wrong buying it blind. Hate it or love it, this thing is a compliment getter.
Mandarine, cinnamon, patchouly and spices are what I smell most. Although the scent feels quite different, the core theme does not seem to me very different from Jaipur and Le mâle, seeming to me a variation, a different take on the same, more patchouly, more spices, and orange added in the opening, much sweeter and gourmand, and from my viewpoint not nearly as nice, actually not comparable. But that is me. Although I agree with the classification, I think it might as well be classified as oriental spicy or oriental woody. The first times I wore it I found it obnoxiously cloying. Well, not that much now, at least not always that much, although I still find it cloying, and sometimes a lot. But I appreciate it better no, although not always. Although I like Jaipur very much, I do appreciate in 1 million its spicier character. Unfotunately, I think that this is all a matter of fashion. There is so little variety amongst male scents, that one gets used to certain types of fragrance - they fall into categories, but inside each category, they all tend to be very similar, and I think one just gets used to that main theme. If I did not know these scents were commercial fragrances, I would never guess. I think that is probably one of the reasons why male scents vary so little. Many of what are usually considered by most people the most pleasant notes are forbidden, and amongst the notes allowed, because they do not usually give origin to fragrances spontaneously appealling to most people,it is all a matter of choice based on other factors. Later, that choice is what is going to define what must be considered fragrance. I think that because the allowed scent themes are not spontaneously appealing to most people, anything which fashion did not make become already fragrance like is always commnercially risky and even risky for a potential wearer, because other people may just think that he smells funny, rather than nice. That is what I think, although I might obviously be wrong. Back to 1 million, unfortunately, although it is a very strong fragrance, staying power seems to me quite poor and that seems to be a problem with several Paco Rabanne fragrances these days (most likely here I am wrong given the fact that so many people say the opposite).
CLOYING ...and gave me a major headache while in the car driving!.. this is only to be worn in COLD WEATHER!
100% Agreed with fouies.
This fragrance is just too strong for me. I understand why it has become the infamous clubbing/party fragrance.
From its pompous gold bullion sprayer to its cloyingly sweet Bazooka Joe bubblegum scent, everything about this fragrance makes it seem like the loud, annoyingly obnoxious girl at the party.
I made the god-awful mistake of wearing this to one of my evening graduate school classes in NYC. With only 2 sprays hours before class, I took 5 steps into the room when a girl rolled her eyes and said "Who's wearing 1 Million?".
Be careful with the trigger on this one. If you are looking for class, you will not find it here. Drunken nights trying to hook up with trashy women? 1 million's got your back.
I have to try between Paco Rabbane 1 Million and Armani Code...any recommendations ?
i bought a bottle of this stuff THINKING i liked it only to grow to hate it. i gave it to my dad and the other day i thought i'd spray my wrist with it and take it for a walk around the block for old times sake. there are plenty of scents that i dont like or dont "get" but this stuff just plain pisses me off. lol i'ts the weirdest thing.
This is incredible. I smelled this for months on men, it's intensely alluring. I decided I would not buy it ages ago, decided it was way to expensive and it's, 'ridiculous to pay so much for a scent' my friends would say.
Out in the club one night, after a few vodkas-I went to freshen in the bathroom and they had- you guessed it- 1 million on near the sink. I think I drooled all over it. I gave the bathroom waiter guy 2 quid for a spray of it. Needless to say heads turned at the scent of it as I left the bathroom. You really feel like you are worth a million dollars. I bought the fragrance a few days later
Buy it. Its simply the best fragrance I've ever had.
ps. It will leave the most divine scent on your clothes for days and days afterwards- this scent is the pop, the xfactor, the 'shut up and take my money!' smell to which Paco Rabanne & co are now rolling in millions from.
This is my boyfriend's signature scent, and it makes me crazy! Crazy in a good way, mind you. I find it very strong when he first puts it on, but it dries down on him to a very sweet and spicy scent. This fragrance is incredibly seductive, and I am often faced with the urge to jump him whenever he wears 1 Million,(which is everyday hehe). The notes that I smell the most of off him would definitely be cinnamon, rose, and amber. I can also detect the leather and other spicy essences as well in this fragrance.
Bottom line is, I love this scent and I really hope my boyfriend never ever stops buying it.
try axis premium, and u will see it is totally the same !!!!
I just bought this perfume after hearing so many nice things about it but tbh I didn't like the top notes at all, it smells really bad at the start IMO but with time it turns into a wonderful scent and the base notes are just amazing. Longevity and sillage are great for this perfume. 2-3 sprays is more than enough because it smells too sweet!
This scent a little to sweet for me it's not my style. Although its widely known for its
ability to appeal to alot women because of its unique unisex type scent. tremendous longevity and projection making it ideal for a night out party clubbing fragance
I believe it's good fragnance for anyone in high school
anyone interested I'mselling a 200ml bottle of this on eBay for cheap
My ex used to wear that and all I can say is;absolutely irresistable.
I had fell in love with it and could not stop smelling it.Bad thing is that everyone is wearing it now and although it's a unique frag,it has become quite common.Guys you HAVE to have this. And I have to agree with Irisfvh,it worked for me too!
Beautiful bottle and great longevity too.
Its a shame its the chav's 2 scent after lynx but yeah its still not my cup of tea, verrrryy common in the UK loads of people walking past, hey smell my cloud of 1 million! No thankyou i can smell it from 10ft away! lol.
To be fair to the perfumier its a complex thick heavy sweet scent kinda bringing back a Joop! vibe but obviously Joop homme is way better in every way!
Smelled like Fruit Stripe gum to me. I didn't like it at all.
Arrogance & Glamour Nocturne, Fades and combined in this Wonder of Fragrance, in my view this is the best men's fragrance for urban nightlife, a couple of years ago I had the opportunity to smell and I eh tired of it already I ended up going 3 that is just wonderful!
From the beginning it can feel: warm cinnamon base, which keeps him company at two main themes of the fragrance: The Leather & Grapefruit both perfectly contrasted becoming a citrus note, which is the most elegant eh witnessed in a fragrance, and "the icing on the cake" are few and far accentuated notes of mint & spices that give it a more elegant touch to the fragrance, it all gives a perfect contrast and notes as a pyramid accommodated nicely balanced the Base: Cinnamon, middle: Leather & Grapefruit, and tip: Mint & Spices ...
It is a widely used fragrance but that does not diminish the good, highly recommended, give it a chance will see that you will not regret!

This is a uniquely scented cologne. In my opinion, there are few colognes that have this distinction.
When I say distinct, I'm referring to fragrances such as Polo, Obsession and Old Spice. If you're wearing it, people can pick out the scent very easily. To some degree, you could add Gio to this category as well, simply because it's so popular.
1 million belongs in the "unique" category, which is part of the reason I bought it.
To me, nothing else smells quite like it. Regardless of what they post as the ingredients, it has a smooth, dark cherry smell with tobacco and mint undertones.
It's very radiant and has tremendous staying power, so go easy with it, guys.
Once, I had a woman tell me that guys don't know how to put on cologne; and that if you can smell it on yourself, it's too strong. I'm not sure if that holds up in every case but in this one, I'd have to agree.
I love this cologne. I don't care that it's marketed towards men since I wear what I like and have had a much easier time finding something I like in the men's perfume section.
The bottle is unique and classy, and really a very clever idea, but I'm surprised at how many people don't realize that it is an imitation of a gold bar like the kind that was used in banks during the gold standard time before President Richard Nixon ended it for good. So, 1 Million in a gold bar is perfect. Except I absolutely hate the sprayer button. It's very poorly designed and not the easiest to use, I can see why so many have had it die on them.
I first gained interest in this after smelling the female version, Lady Million and not liking it at all. This however, won me over instantly. It's warm, but not overly so, making it tasteful for any time of the day. In the opening, I get a good deal of citrus and amber-like sweetness with a synthetic quality. It's quickly followed by a blend of warm spice (mainly cinnamon), leather and just a hint of wood. As it dries down the synthetic quality thankfully goes away. The sweet note still remains, but it's a very masculine and refined kind of sweetness, turning into a more boozy, almost creamy vanilla. It's not loud and obnoxious like many women's perfumes that scream cake and candy and girly flowers. I tend to hate sweet notes, but this works with the spice and leather, and I really appreciate it. It just goes to show that sweet does not always equal feminine. The pachouli is definitely there as well and it adds a nice, crisp, overall sharpness.
This is also the strongest EDT I have ever come across. 1-3 sprays is really all you should go for. Even when I just wear one spray someone sitting a little ways away from me can easily smell it. It also lasts incredibly well; sometimes I can still smell it on my skin the next morning.
I absolutely adore spicy, masculine scents, and this spicy, musky, sharp, sweet fragrance is my new current favorite. It's refreshing to have something spicy but not girly sweet and florally for a change, and I am so happy this works well with my skin. Oh, and another plus? I'm not going to smell like every other girl or woman!
Great great great!! My husband is so yummy when he wears this.. Well, he always is but this perfume is seductive!!
1 Million has a wonderful warm and sexy vibe to it that leaves women powerless, this is the perfect fragrace for date nights with that lady friend you wanna impress and im sure this is the right cologne to do so,a must have in my collection
classy frag 5/5
So I went on a first date last year with my current boyfriend and this was what he was wearing. I didn't know him well, but I completely fell in love with the smell. Ofcourse you can't keep on smelling someone you just met but wow, now that we're dating for a year I can't keep my nose out if his neck when he wears this!!!
This scent is PERFECTION.
Guys, when you want to make a girl fall for you.. BUY THIS. it worked for me!
so sweet i can almost taste it.
smells like a woman, then like my dad, drydown is like my grandma.
The spray button is suck. My bottle is not used 2/3 but it's out of work. The same problem with my Black XS.
fragrance very banal! Not bad, quite the opposite, but it's so trite that has lost the value !
Comes off very synthetic and loud, but it definitely serves its purpose. Really dont understand the hate. It's perfect for the club setting, and it will last and project in cooler climates.
I just got this perfume yesterday. I bought it because of the good reviews i saw in the web. I have totally no idea before about how it smells. I was so impresses with the packaging. Simple, elegant and unique. The smell is incredible. I am actually very choosy in scents but this one got my attention. It very sexy and nice. No regrets in buying it. Very worth it.
i used it.....agree with darlosu. Its an all day scent. longevity is monster.
To WayneDN : For sure you bought a fake. Sorry for you
Just purchased this cologne last week. The fragrance was very nice but it did not last long. After spraying it on, No one ever commented on it including my wife. I can't say I would buy this again.
I'm the proud mother of a 16-years-old handsome blue-eyed and blond-haired boy. A seductive rugby player. So how can I not love his signature scent!? :)) Girls in his class love it and recognize it. So he told me.
Well (cough), all kidding aside and more objectively (though my 3 sons are the most handsome kids in my heart) , I can understand how 1 million has become a best-seller...it embodies modern masculinity: Cinnamon/ amber/rose, I think there is a feminine vibe in that fragrance that attracts girls! I could wear it myself!
Since I hate leather fragrances I don't like this at all. If the leather note wasn't there, i'd buy it!!
this smells so hot on a guy. i got a sample of this with an order from macy's and my husband didnt like it...total bummer...i gave the sample to one of my male coworkers who always wears cologne and it smelled so good on him i almost forgot he was my buddy...this scent could totally get a dude chicks.
I am a girl and I seriously consider buying a small bottle of this perfume. I have female version but I like this one better. Irresistible for me.
This is my favorite night-scent. The projection is really really good. I can say that this is a crowd pleaser. People can smell you even if you are inside a big crowd. The very first spray is refreshing, and then the middle notes will make you smell a very rich man. This will be my night-scent forever. However, I will look for another night scent, because I don't want to be a predictable guy.
it's not special fragr., if u want u can find a lot of perfume like P.R. One million in markets,shops..etc. , and there s no connetion between the advert film and one million perfume smell.the adv. film s nice,diffrent..
i dont spend my money for it..
I bought a 212 men on 4perfume.net and got a sample of 1 Million. OMG, how good it smells! Here in my country is very rare to find someone who uses this perfume. It lasts long but it is a bit cloying.
9/10.
I got this as a sample and decided to keep it for myself even though it is for men. The scent is very masculine and strong, and very sexy. The woody notes and leather really jump out at me. And I HATE cinnamon, but I actually enjoy it in this.
About 4 years ago this was one of my first fragrances.
I walked in to the store and fell in love with it.
I had it for a good 2 years until something happened,
every guy in my god damn city started wearing it.
Seriously, not even one day will go by when I don't smell this fragrance. I can not describe my hate towards this perfume. It's making me sick... The ladies love it though, I can't see how since this is the only thing people wear now adays.. Sorry for this review being so dull and angry... If you're lucky enough to live somewhere where people is unknown of this fragrance, good for you. Me and 1 Million will never find our way back together, that's for sure...
How interesting. 171 individuals feel that 1 Million reminds them of a brand-new, Swedish fragrance, released just this year, that only 17 people have even RATED here on fragrantica and not a single person has bothered to review. HOW... WEIRD. Is there simply no point in writing any sort of critique on this scent whatsoever (Intense Embrace for Him by Oriflame)? or this new fragrance is merely the second coming of 1 Million (which was exactly what the world needed, btw!!!) and thus no word need be spoken?... Hmmmmmmm... Perhaps, 171 people just can't be wrong.
so very very sweet :)
The hype and the bottle design kept me away. Now I can appreciate 1 Million as an inexpensive fragrance that's good for weekend errands and the gym. If it makes it to a discount chain I'll buy it.
Great fragrance, long lasting, good silage & compliment gather! Just its too common (indication of good product).
I'm not sure if I really like this or hate this. At first spray it immediately remind me one of the Adidas deodorant I used to own. It was the one called Victory or something, the bottle was gold in colour. Anyway, I don't think I'd wanna get a bottle of this unless someone give this to me as a gift.
great fragrance, sad that everybody has it and everbody knows it...still the girl love it, only thing to do is pray youre the only one wearing it that evening :P
It should be one billion and not one million.... for its longevity and projection........
Just too common though !!!!!!!!!
When I first smelled this scent at the store I was put off. I didn't understand the hype around it. Flash forward about 1 year later and I picked up a sampler pack from JCP. One of the samples was 1 million. I tried it and it was ok - very strong but nice.
After wearing it for day 1, I was pulled back in and wore it on day 2. Within the week I had gone back to the store and exchanged the gift card for the full bottle of 1 million.
Not sure what it is but the scent really grew on me. I find myself thinking about the other's in my collection in the morning and this one keeps jumping up to the top. I find the balance very pleasing. There is a bit of sweetness (Amber) that is not to overwhelming, the cinamon is pleasant and noticable and then I get a nice woodsy scent in there too. (I don't really detect the rose, mint, orange or grapefruit. They are probably there I'm just not that good to detect them.)
Overall the strength is excellent. Only two shots and I'm good all day, 6am until 10pm (I can even detect the scent in the morning when I wake up). I work in an office during the day, so I don't need any more than that. This cologne has the best overall strength of all my colognes.
This seems to be my goto right now. I'm very pleased with the purchase of this one. There is an overall uniqueness to 1 Million that has really grown on me.
(FYI: JCP Sephora has a special going on right now. They have a sampler pack for sale. This was release about 1-2 months back and sold for about $52. The stores in my area have reduced the price on the sample down to $38. You are given a certificate that you can exchange for a smaller size 1.7oz iirc cologne. The Paco Rabanne 1 Million was one of the included samples.)
1 Million for men is not for men. You know when you smell an aroma that instantly transports you back in time to when you last smelled it? When I smelled 1 Million I was instantly reminded of a perfume my ex girlfriend used to wear when we were about 15 back in '94 -'95 called "Exclamation". Very feminine, very sweet, very young. If I smell any guy wearing this, I'll automatically assume he's picked up his daughters perfume by mistake.
i cant say" waooww wonderful perfume" about it..when i watch advertorial film of it,i say "i think it must be different and attractive fragrance" but not in my opinion..
I love this perfume soooooo much!!! It's so sweet and floral but still manly. This perfume smells JUST LIKE Antonio Banderas "Golden Secret" (OMG same),but still one million is more sweet and golden secret is more fresh. When you spray it,you can instantly smell grapefruit and mint. Then it calms down into this wonderful sweet smell of cinnamon, rose, leather and wood! Awesome perfume. People around you could smell it and it lasts very long (about 4 hours). YOU MUST BUY IT! ;)
The Infamous 1 Million....a wonderful scent that was ruined by its popularity. Most people overspray it, wear it all the time incl. hot summer days, office work, etc...
If people were more "fragrance-conscious", this would be "awesome" for the lovers (or it actually is), and an "ok, its not that bad" for the haters.
Longevity: 10/10 - I definitely don't get the very, very long lasting everyone talks about, but still 6-8 hours. This is what I ask for most of the time, so it gets a perfect mark here.
Projection: 10/10 - really loud, you will be noticed. This bottle should electrocute you, if you'd pull the trigger more than 2-3 times in a short time. It needs a lock. Seriously, it can easily get cloying.
Versatility: 6/10, cold, chilled weather only, clubbing, winter, autumn, outdoors. Projection is so good on this one that you can't really wear it in a small office or classroom.
Scent,Compliments, other: 8/10 - Heavily based on natural ingredients, this one pleases (nearly) every woman! Bottle design is unique, the scent itself pleases my nose. Cinnamon and blood orange is extremely heavy in this one; I don't really get the leather and mint...
Overall: 8.5/10 - can't say more, it is worth a try, most people either love or like it. It will never be my signature scent, but it will stay in my rotation for a long time.
Be gentle with the sprayer, please...
I bought this blind and I can't seem to get much of a response from it.....no one i ask can smell it within arms length, and it doesn't last....maybe i bought a fake.
The opening is great, sexy, potent and females adore it. But then (according to my nose and skin) it just becomes stinky-sweet vanilla extract. I can't find anything gold about this fragrance, except the TV commercial.
I consider this a spoiled, sugar-ampppped-up, metro, Honey Boo-Boo version of Old spice.
Beautiful, this one is popular for a reason. Very long lasting and has great projecion. Picked up the 200ml for $100! Absoloute steal. This one is very sexy and of very high quality. Only problem is that lots of guys use it...for good reason though, gotta give credit where credit is due
This is my "out on the town scent." Very sweet and long lasting frag. Gets compliments and grabs attention. DO NOT pull the trigger more than 3 times on this one! Don't even put it on your neck pulse points! One spray on adams apple, one on the chest, and one on the back of the neck and you are good to go. The frag stays pretty linear after the top notes leave but the smell is both interesting and intoxicating until the end. I could still smell this stuff on me after a good shower as well. Should be warn to make a memory.
Very beutifull and sexy fragrance.
it's very overhyped! So a lot of people use this one. That's a min.
I like the sweet but also a liitle spicy notes in this fragrance.
It stay's wel on tmy skin although my skins eats fragrances (dry skin)
Love this perfume !
I'm a woman but this perfume is my signature fragrance.
Very long lasting & amazing sillage .
One of the greatest scent ever.
I'm really crazy about it !
i've known of the aftershave for a while as my friend had it and always loved it but never wanted to copy him, however after losing touch, and seeing this at a great price i purchased it
it literally smells like a night out, its a really young, confident and strong smell. on me the projection and smell isnt as amazing as on some people but it is still fantastic. my only gripe with the really would be that so many people have it. its not a fragrance that people smell on you and say "thats really nice, what is it?" its a fragrance that people tend to say "ohh you have 1 million on, i love that" still draws the compliments but you do seem as though you've only bought it to follow the trend
young sexy, daring, the rose and cinnamon provide a nicely balanced base, great fragrance. good longevity and sillage !
Another one for the younger market (I'd say suitablly for 18-28 yr olds). Distinct, strong and sweet - not particularly 'classy', but is playful and energetic in the right situation.
The longevity of scent is quite so-so But initially ....BAM!! POP ! WOW! All in one. Refined and yet Rambunctious! Sweet yet Loud like blaring earphones of a coloratura soprano. The dry down is so delicious you might lose a limb! Audacious and Gentile. All at the same time. Truly Fragrances biggest contradiction, Yet!
as another reviewer said below, this is quite simular to Le Male. I actually like Le Male-its sweet and incensy and strong(all the things I like in a scent) but there was something there that didn't quite agree with me(and my nose). One Million is all that without that disagreeable note. Yes, there is citrus in the beginning but almost immediately it transforms itself into sweet, smoky cinnamony scent with amber base. This can easily be worn by a woman and I am contemplating getting a bottle. I was very "meh" about female version which didn't strike me nowhere near as interesting as this one.
Hmmm... When I smelled this fragrance, I thought to myself "this is a bad clone of Le Male." Then, I pictured an old beefy man chopping a redwood tree.
ok imma try to be non-biast but from a personal stand point i did NOT like this cologne at ALL. that being said if u do like the fragrance u are in for a treat seeing as though it DOES NOT COME OFF EVER...i have gotten like 15 hours on my skin off of the sample spritz that the cologne owner sprayed on me... and this was even though i washed my wrist... its a very strong scent, but for some reason (call it paco r's signature) it doesn't smell as luxurious as the commercial made it seem.. i was curious as to what this cologne smelled like because of the awesome commercial and was sadly disappointed to find that the fragrance itself smells kind of.....cheap? longevity and projection aside (since they are intense) it would definitely be a special occasion fragrance since the versatility is limited on this cologne. the bottle itself is extremely pretty and could definitely be a collector's treasure...too bad that the juice inside doesn't match the level of quality.
so much for being non-biast hahaha
all and all i give it a 5o.o.10 and the points it gets are for silage, projection, longevity, publicity and bottle... nothing to do with the scent itself
First of all, I really like this one. It deserves 1 million compliments and more.
The perfume is really strong, oriental, spicy and very, very good. It opens with a fresh orange scent, from the grapefuit and the blood mandarine orange, mixed with mint. It's a nice beginning, which I confess wah a too much to me before, so sweet and aggressive, but now I don't have problems with it. Later we can smell cinammon and roses in the heart of the perfume. I think this is my favorite part of the perfume, because it's sexy and alluring... it's a warm fragrance, which makes us to feel comfortable with, and really confident. In its end, One million permits us to smell some leather and some creamy thing, from amber, perhaps, which is irresistible and delicious. There is a lot of patchouli as well, which I always enjoy in perfumes.
It's a very different fragrance. When it was launched of course it must have surprised many people. Today it may not surprise you anymore because it has been copied lots of times, in many perfumes. This sweet thing in masculine perfumes has already became what men wear nowadays, eh?
1 million is very long lasting, 15 hours on my skin, 17 hours according to the occasion, and the projection is amazing, it's a monster. We can smell this scent for a long time after spraying it. Besides, it's a really "night life" perfume, perfect for going out at night, looking good, with some style... very well done.
So, I went to a concert wearing 1 Million and was blown away! The women were all over me! This fragrance on me is Great! I kissed more women and had lipstick on my collar when getting home........ By Myself I might add, lol . I'm gay so I was surprised by the reaction. It made me feel great!
I can detect 1 Million on men instantly, I find it very strong and overwhelming, there is no subtlety with this fragrance, it makes a very loud shouty statement, something which I find unappealing on guys, plus it gives me a headache.
One Billion People Smell like this....
This is the opportunity for those guys who were dying to wear feminine fragrances but didn't have the balls to do it.
In no time, this is gonna be like pesticide.
Boys and girls sharing the same, nauseating odor with different names, in the same place.
So cheap that we have One Million Drugstore Colognes that smell like this, before this was released.
So synthetic that it doesnt allow your skin to blend with the notes, which makes the whole alchemy of perfumes, pointless!!! It is supposed to be unique when it touches you!!
Not to mention the Ad.......Tacky.......You are rich when you have time to spend with the ones you love.... not the things you want!!!
I like the smell of the frag better after some time it has been applied.. at first i find it quite too sweet. But then after quite a while, the sweetness sort of dies down a bit, leaving the leathery smell.. its great!! =D
I tried one million on my wrist and my first reaction was that its a bubble gum/ sugar candy and nothing more. Who wants to be dipped in a sugary syrup?
Went home washed my wrist twice. Its has a projection and longevity.
One million is for girls or folks under 15. Would never think of even smelling it again.
1969 votes above tell the story..
one million is a breakthrough in fragrance world..
its a great fragrance.. it has nice longetivity... it has nice projection... blah blah blah...
I would say the concept of selling perfume in a golden bottle sent a message that applying this perfume would fetch you the status of millionaire..
and the concept worked.. the marketing was great.. the scent was average.. no doubt its a confused generic... but then who doesnt want to feel like millionaire... 'virtually'
now about frag.
its good.. just like any other expensive fragrances in the market.. but still not living upto its name'ONE MILLION' ..
i would suggest you to test it before buying it..
This fragrance starts off really sweet and spicy and could be mistaken for a ladies fragrance. Suitable for cooler weather. Longevity is really good.
I forgot to mention that smelling this on a man is sexy. It's a sexy smell, so don't worry, you guys who think it's an unmanly scent. The women love it on you guys.
I'm a woman and I love this fragrance and like it better than the female version, so I bought this instead. It's more of a unisex, in my opinion and can be worn by both men and women. It's a classy fragrance and I agree that it screams party. Not everyday scent, but something you wear when you want to dress up a bit.
love this parfume, it is sweet, playful, and kinda sexy at the samr time. very strong cinnamon opening combined with blood orange.good for party, but not really for casual or work, since this is the parfume that screams PARTY, projection and longevity is good about 6-7hour on me,just a few spray is needed and guaranteed people will notice that you are there. When I wear this my friend ask me what parfume I use and told me that this is the smell of expensive parfume, makes me love this more, makes me feel like a million bucks $_$ love this one
@mynameischarl strengthen the scent?? either u really have a bad nose or the fragrance which u tried was a fake one....this is the projection beast and sometimes is killing me, and the longevity easy up to 12 hours and so on
گرم و شیرین و ادویه ای
بوش منو یاد بوی مربای آلبالو میندازه :D
شیک و با کلاس هست و برای تیپ مجلسی گزینه خوبیه
ماندگاری و پخش بوی عالی
and now the great 1 million. I bought it about 2 years ago and every people ask me: what is your cologne? very very good for winter.
was my favorite fragrance when it first came out now every tom dick and harry wear it, it has gone down in my preferences i like this as a winter scent though. lasts for ages on skin & clothes
Fruity and sweet, comparable to bubble gum and cotton candy. The natural blood orange makes this one. Great projection and longevity. A little feminine but unique.
Not everyone will like it. Myself? I like it, though I do not love it. But this will find a home in many of your collections, some way and some how.
A bit pricey, but the quality is certainly there.
@ mynameischarl....you probably got a bogus sample because there is no way it lasted only 2 hours. 1 million is a beast and is one of the strongest men's fragrances you could buy. that or you have a bad nose
I tried this the other day. I loved the scent--fruity, floral, very rich and yet not feminine. It smells like something one would wear going out on a weekend night in semi-casual attire. I would guess if one liked Givenchy Pi or A*Men, they would probably like this. However, this "fantastic" scent barely lasted two hours before completely wearing off, which was the reason I didn't pick up a bottle. It might have just been my skin, but IMO they desperately need to strengthen the scent.
Not the same, but certainly in the same vein as Le Male, 212 Sexy and Armani Code. In fact I can easily think of this one as Le Male being re-engineered and the vanilla-fougere notes are weakened to give place to a Blood Orange note. It's not as versatile and pleasant as Le Male. Neither its as sleek and classy as Armani Code. But Of course it has its own merits, even though nothing ground breaking presented here.
Sweet woody-ambry combination it is. Stays very long with monstrous projection. Makes a good choice for clubbing for a young man with casual outfit.
It gets 7 out of 10 IMO.
I tried by the time of its release, and since than I received many samples but never bought a full bottle of any size. I tried, liked and said to myself I'd never use it. Today I think it nicer than classics like Pi maybe because feels more modern, or because I´m tired of the last one. It is sweeet but looks well built. The start of Banderas The Secret is stronger than The Golden Secret I think. Both share the same similiar "slightly" resamble sweet signature of 1 Million. I think The Secret lasts less, Golden during evolution may be a bit more resamble to 1 Million.
This is so sweet my dad thought I applied a women's perfume. I don't like it at all it's too sweet. However if you like extremely sweet not so masculine fragrances, then this is the perfect choice for you.
There are some positive aspects of wearing this fragrance, it's very unique and distinctive due to its cloyingly sweet notes. Don't apply to much of it, it can be extremely annoying if someone came to me wearing more than 4 sprays of 1 million.
Today I was looking for a new signature scent, something that's unique and out stands the rest, I usually get disappointed most of the time since a lot of perfumes today smell alike and you can barely tell them apart, and mostly every one wears them so it's so hard to find a scent that a few people can recognize, then I came across this one...
Ok first things first, the scent is not über sweet, it's sweet but not too sweet like everyone describes it here, just right sweetness IMHO, the next thing I noticed was the projection and sillage, wow!! This is just unbelievable! It can project miles away and even though I had washed my hands four times with soap and water I could still smell the perfume in my wrist! and lastly, this scent is definitely for clubbing since the scent really catches the attention of the ladies,
I think I've found my next signature scent, but there's a problem
I live in country where it's mostly 30 degrees, and coldest is about 20 degrees Celsius, do you think it'll be fine to use such a frag in a warm country?
Hmmmmmmmmm
This Fragrance has taken the place of Acqua Di Gio. If you are someone who Party a lot, then this is for you, its lasts, it projects and its also very COMMON these days. If you dont like sweet scents, then you wont like this because its very sweet, almost like there's a cotton candy vibe to this, if you dont have it in your collection, then you need to get it.
THIS IS THE BEST PERFUME EVER FOR MEN...!!! The ultimate. Better than Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. I gave this to my hubby as a gift and he loved it!
Bottle just so manly. The rectangular shaped bit leaning to the back with black back and golden front, it is so masculine. Not trying hard to impress, yet flawless.
The smell, oooh! Every time my husband spritz it over his body, I feel like making love to him! Seriously, he smells so delicious! The woody spicy thing, I just love. They hit the right notes!
Overall, this is just a perfume for men. Not for boys, for real men. And it lasts so long! My hubby still smells One Million after he's home! And I still do feel like making love to him! Woooh, what a perfume!
If you enjoy this just save your money and get Cuba Royal. It costs next to nothing. If you find this overbearing opt for AB The Golden Secret. It's a much smoother take on 1Million.
gay scent :) kidding...smells nice but maybe one spray max for it to be inoffensive...
!!!!!
LOL
تایید یا رد یک عطر البته کاملا سلیقه ای هست و البته محترم. اما اگر از سبک بوش خوشتون میاد پیشنهاد میکنم بلک سول مشکی با گلدن سکرت انتونیو را امتحان کنید
Sweet and intriguing. It's the kind of scent that fits a man who doesn't want to come out too macho and masculine, but for someone who's still got enough balls to carry such a controversially sweet scent with pride and swag.
I feel this is the type of scent that can make a real impression when worn by a right type of man. But something that can also be a huge let down when worn by just anyone.
As far as I know, this scent is very popular at the moment, which kinda makes it not stand out so much. I can imagine myself giving it another try in a couple of years.
I didn't like this as I thought I would. I bought a sample and tried it on MY hand before spraying on hubby. I ended up scrubbing it off. Maybe it's the patchouli I didn't care for. I am new to analyzing frags so all I can say is that I don't like this scent.
this aftershave stands out from the others, my best friend, he wears it.
its a gorgeous scent :D
I finally obtained some samples of 1 Mil yesterday.
I know this is listed as a fragrance for men but I can't help wearing and keeping it for myself. It agrees with my body chemistry and being a lover of the majority of the notes here I am happily enamoured with this newest addition to my collection.
I envision this being the side of gold that exudes quiet refinement not overdone and gaudy. It speaks in hushed tones and envelopes me with a warm feeling.
Of all the notes listed I don't even detect the citrus ones and I'm not sure if I miss them or not seeing as I like this scent just the way it is.
I can see the need to constantly smell my wrists is not going away anytime soon!
wats so hype about it.
Very common smell for me...
TOO SWEET
This has been my clubbing scent for about 2 months now and while I've had a few compliments, some of the ladies also say that my fragrance reminds them of their ex-boyfriends. Not a good thing at all. It's 'cos of things like this I stayed far away from Armani Code.
Love this ......
i bought this when it first came out,i loved for a little while..love the tabacco scents..then i realized how many other people are starting to ware this and it turned me off big time.
I got it, and I'm very in love with it, but its a little to strong or feminine, wish they'll come up with a summer version that's lighter.
I bought this fragrance after i read some Reviews the first scent of sweet but after 4 hours it smell like green Grass to me.his fragrance is great at first but letter it sucks.I'm sure I will not buy it again
Sorry for the negative response
It is a very nice perfume but everyone wears it and I don't want to smell like everyone else; I don't want everyone to recognise my perfume I like to be asked for what perfume I wear. Moreover it's a perfume for teenagers (I'm a teenager) but I would like to have a perfume for many years.
This fragrance is good but a little too sweet or feminine. as for me i'm wear this for special occasion, night time and formal occasion. good projection and longevity.
But REMEMBER dont spray too much or you'll kill people with it. LOL
I have already reviewed the amazing One Million, but I must share a little discovery I made.
I sometimes test “cheaper” men’s perfume just for fun and to broaden my perfumery horizons. A few days ago I tested English Leather, “Pure Platinum.” According to the shop assistant this fragrance is new and it has been on the shelves for a few months here in South Africa. This smells almost identical to One Million!
So if you are looking for a “cheaper” alternative, give this a try. It only lasts for about two hours but it is amazing. I bought the 50 ml EDT and the deodorant. Now I have my beloved One Million in disguise for around the house, or for short bursts of enjoyment like a quick trip to the shop.
I loveeeeee this scent. I bought this for my boyfriend and when he first smelled it I couldnt keep away. I made him spray this every night when he come out the shower just so i can sleep next to him. Girls stay asking him what the cologne name he is wearing since he smells nice. Ladies I say this cologne is a "panty dropper" for the women buy it for your man and you wont regret it.
This scent is a bomb!!! Its a sillage monster and projects crazily for the first 5-7 hours and continues to project even after that. The longevity is easily 15+ hours on my skin. And to top it all i just love the fragrance of this one. Its quite unique amongst the other modern fragrances available in the market today and on the same lines of 212 sexy men and JPG Le male. The scent is completely modern and can be worn all through out the day. The scent is on a sweeter side though and might put off people who don't like sweet smell. IMHO this scent will definitely be a classic in next few years and will continue to top the ratings for a very long time to come. The heart notes and the drydown of this fragrance are to die for. This one is definitely for a keeper!!!
The bottle is as sexy as the fragrance and denotes a gold bar. Will definitely look great on the shelve.
A must buy for the people who are looking for long lasting and sweet fragrance.
Longevity: 10/10
Projection: 9/10
Sillage: 10/10
Overall: 10/10
UPDATE:
After wearing this for several times now, i can safely say that the sillage of this monster is even better then the projection. It really gets you noticed when you are on the move and comes alive with the body heat. It leaves a lovely trail behind. It can lie low for few hours and suddenly warms up to your body heat and you can get the whiffs of its everlasting drydown. Its magical!
of course im writing a review on this fragrance. what kind of collector would i be if i didnt. whats there to say i like and hate it at the same time, kind of like the summer heat in chicago. the problem with some of these popular fragrances is that i hate it on my skin but other people like the smell. Just like the terrible aqua di gio, smells horrible but people love it, although with 1mill i can honestly say i enjoy it.
This has the best scent ever!
my bf just got it n ive been sniffing my wrists for hours!
it dries down to a sweet warm spice
the citrus n leather actually smell good together
but the citrus turns into sweet smell with the cinnamon after a couple hours.. i might have to steal a few squirts from my bf sometime
(: im in love
blood orange yeah... maybe a fruit punch with big red gum and a pencil shaving dry down... a lot more sophisticated than this explanation... but that's what it reminds me of... very unique and clean smell
Having read each review here I am so amused. Such polarized views again reveal to me just how subjective expressions for a preference of a well advertised scent can be. I had to buy this for two reasons.
The first reason stems from my total disillusionment at the general low longevity of many of the perfumes I have bought. My pursuit for a perfume that delivers at least 10 to 12 hours has been relentless. Most of the reviewers here agree, longevity with this Rananne creation is out of the top shelf!
The second reason is all the hype and different viewpoints. Some say One Million is amazing, some say “sickly, synthetic, rubbish”, some emphasize “for teenagers” only, for “clubs”, and most agreed that it loses points as it is so popular, citing that “a million people use it!” But it is so obvious why!
I am putting every Fragrantica review aside in my review. I want something that smells amazing for me! For once I am not going to allow the negative reviews to cloud my judgment as I cannot conceive how this perfume deserves such ridicule.
In a nutshell, the scent is extremely unique, very cinnamon, very sweet but in short I think it is truly amazing. The nice thing is that I have not smelled it on many people, if any, in my circles so the over popularity issue is null and void. I don’t do clubs either.
This is so popular as it smells awesome! And it has a quality projection and longevity which I crave in a perfume sometimes. Once you get over the initial bubblegum blast, (synthetic or not) it settles into a warm, creamy digestible cleverly wooded spice wonderland. There is a dirty patchouli note at some stage in the amazingly long dry down but I like it. This is akin to Le Male or Kouros in terms of a “Power House” fragrance. I won’t describe the notes here.
I bought (the last bottle on the shelf) and wore this for two days after many previous shop tests. In fairness to any perfume that tickles your interest it must be tested and WORN for at least a few days if you want to review it fairly.
This stuff is superb for me in every regard, indeed worth a place in any man's (and woman’s) wardrobe. But I can also understand why it does not appeal to all but to some only. If sweet and spicy is not your forte or if you dislike anything remotely unisex, then save your money.
The bottle initially appeared to be a gimmick, but when you love the smell and long dry down as much as I do, you don’t care about this. I actually like holding the heavy bottle now, knowing that its golden magic will lift my mood and make me feel good about myself.
This is suitable for me in all seasons and night or day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Review out of 5
Scent: 4.8
Presentation: 3.8
Originality: 4.6
Projection: 4.8
Longevity: 4.9
Have bought this fragrance in France. It lasts VERY long, has great projection, smells awesome...but it is too sweet for me.And one more thing-if you spray it too much on your skin you'll definitely have a headache,so be careful using it(2 or 3 sprays for me is enough).
this stuff smells classy, sweet, and spicy. Definately a great frag and bound to be a classic. BUT this bottle is TACKY as all hell.
Like this frag. It's strong. It projects and it smells good. Not better than most of the frags i own but it is really nice. Im worried about this frag cause i dont like scents that everyone has. I have fierce and i like it even tho its a synthetic monster. But i hate how everyone knows what im wearing. But prob just gonna say screw it and pick one up.
Well..
It is not a review on 1M, cause it's really famous fragrance & many reviews down there are really objective & give really good respectful opinions, whether they are positive or negative.
So, thanks for all "objective" contributors.
I just read this..
<<
"Good scent, but a lot's of "unintelligent guy" wears this."
"Good for a first date? THE BEST --> "If you like girls without any brain, choose this one!" If not, forget it!"
>>
Just want to ask who wrote this..are you one of those?!!
Cause..it is not really a sort of respect to go on from bashing a fragrance to insulting those who like it or wear!!!
What a taste!!
Hey you all, I've put some fragrance !
The idea is good, a bit "In your face" but pleasant. Not my cup of tea however. At least it stays very long, you don't need to spray it again during the day. If you go to a crowded party at night, this one hits ! Forget it when the sun burns...
Power : ultra high
Lasting : according to power
1 million is like the new "Le Male" everyone seems to be wearing this fragrance- even women. I bought my bottle when it first came out and I quite liked it back then, its sweet, very sweet in fact for a fragrance aimed at men but it seems to have exploded all over the market which i thought was interesting. The Blood orange and cinamon play off one another really well and its just the sort of fragrance that people seem to want to soak themselves in. Its very strong so be conscious about how much you spray. I'd recommend the scent to young guys, like if you're buying for your teenage son, he'll probably really like 1 million. I like it, but its a little to sweet and lacks a little substance for me. The lasting power is fantastic though
7/10
I can describe this fragrance in three words:synthetic, sweet, pleasant!
This is one of those fragrances that most of the ordinary peoples love it or at least they like it.
A great fragrance to attract opposite sex! most of the ladies will like this one on your skin!
The opening of this fragrance is strong mixture of blood orange, cinnamon and so many sweetness!
It's warm, sweet and synthetic but at the same time pleasant and attractive!
In the drydown of this fragrance the blood orange note is weak in the background, some cinnamon and extreme sweetness with honey vibe and some floral notes which come from rose.
In the base, that sweet smell is there with just a little woodsy and floral notes but everything is in the background!
The sweetness dominate through the whole fragrance life on your skin and almost all the notes are in the background.
It's a pleasant fragrance but there is nothing special about it. you will always get compliment from ladies with this fragrance but it's not a natural and high quality fragrance.
The projection and longevity of this fragrance is like a nuclear bomb!
First time when I bought this fragrance I was in love with it, but after sniffing a lot more fragrances with great quality and so natural smell, this is not my favorite anymore!
It's OK and still I wear it sometimes but now its just a casual work scent for me.
I held off on this "controversial" fragrance as long as I could but could take it no longer. I try my best to avoid the "flavor of the month" scents until they fade in popularity but this one seems to just go on and on and shows no sign of fading. It is not as "sweet" as I initially thought and when applied in moderation becomes mellow sweet. I like it and have added it to the collection and will wear it when appropriate.
It runs neck and neck with Le Male as the most hated fragrance of all time on this forum it would appear, but some people have nothing better to do with their time than complain. If you don't own it or have not given it multiple wearings under various conditions who on earth cares what you think about it?
Love it or hate it there is no denying that this is quality sauce. Just because you do not like it does not make it garbage as some claim here. Just give the devil his due and move on.
This is a beautiful fragrance, one of my favorits.notes are blended to perfection, this will get you notice and you will stand out wearing this,I promise.
8/10 :)
yesterday i tried 5 : L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Guerlain, L'Instant de Guerlain extreme, cK shock, Kokorico Jean Paul Gaultier for men, and 1 Million Paco Rabanne for men.
i found all of them to be almost of the same kind with some differences with first position (regarding perfume ,and lasting power) 1 Million Paco Rabanne for men standing on top, second:L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Guerlain, third :L'Instant de Guerlain extreme , fourth: cK shock and fifth:Kokorico Jean Paul Gaultier for men.
Extreme switches its position with its EDT after a few hours of application and becomes very beautiful. infact if you sniff it direct to your nose 1 Million feels a bit invasive compared to softness of Extreme making Extreme as the number 1. but regarding projection 1 Million takes the lead.
i dont know why they call 1 Million Paco Rabanne for men as woody spicy though for me it seemed gourmet (i mean for the time after 10 min of application to 6-7 hours of application). its start is impressive but its dry down is a bit like chemicals (after 2days i smell sweet+pungent) now it is no more gourmet.
in the first few hours one can consider it sweetly unisex , then... as i wrote for me it smelled sweet+pungent (not good for either gender)
To me, this fragrance is very loud because it projects VERY well. It's the kind of fragrance that seeks attention from others. I don't really like it because it attacks your nose and there isn't any elegance to it. I'm already having a headache with only 1 spray on my wrist, it comes to me very powdery and nauseating. I think that this fragrance is very obnoxious and every time I smell it on someone, I picture a guy fist pumping at the clubs.
This one is definitely one of its kind. I can see lot of people enjoying it but it doesn't do it for me. I sprayed 2 spray in my room and went out of town for a week, and when I came back I immediately smelled it. This is insane. It's too sweet and very very cloying, I got a headache first time I wore it. Then I put it away, and then revisited it and it gave me headache again. I got rid of it. It's disgusting to me. But I can see lot of young guys enjoying it.
Not bad, but too "young" and way too feminine to be taken seriously. As it wasn't enough, it's so overworn that makes it even harder to be taken seriously. Passable.
i definitely think there is too much hate for this fragrance. Yes a lot of people wear it and "everybody" goes on about how good it smells to the extent that someone else would say it is overrated however judging this scent for what it is by itself , it is just outstanding. it truly is in a class of its own and so unique with the bubblegum fruit like notes mixed with sweet spices. you may not be individual by wearing it which is its only downfall however based on its general use and smell i would recommend this to anyone who just simply wants to smell great
projection and longevity is brilliant also , projection for about 6-8 hours longevity ALL DAY , ALL NIGHT
9.8/10
well, this is my second bottle, i don't rally mind of what otters said about this. 1 million is kind of perfume that exactly i wanted myself to smell. i really enjoyed the smell and it makes me feel confident, happy and also makes others happy. so guys, don't feel bad about what others said. make up your own mind
This is certainly an acquired taste. I felt kinda stuck with it when i bought it and shelved it for a good three months. Just out.of.curiosity, mainly trying to remember why I was neglecting it I tried it on again. Just 3 sprays one to the chest, one of wrist (rubbed riveted) and one on the back of the neck followed by a black shirt :-) I was most pleasantly surprised :-) it has grown on me and I am begining to enjoy its.modern feel and uniqueness. Sometimes one just has to.cross mental barriers and experiment...... It's enjoyable
Now I would rate it 9/10 as I have gotten to know it a little better. 1600 + votes .... Even if many negs... Means something....
going clubbing tonight and wanna get compliments ?
look no further
I have this fragrance on me right know as I type this, and this thing in amazing. This juice is like aroma therapy to me. Citrus and flowers, its like powdery woods, like walking in a forest of sweet mist.
It's like chasing a dream that's slowly fading away, but then I realize that its not fading at all its just my brain telling my nose sniff sniff sniff. Yes this fragrance is good like that. I can't even imagine what goes on in a woman's mind when she smell this.
"The perfume is available in the amount of 50 and 100 ml, as an edp" - really? I think fragrantica made a mistake because as I know 1million as an edt. Anyway i'm going to buy a bottle for myself
This fragrance is great... but comes with a word of warning.
The smell is great, long lasting and people really like it. I can promise you that compliments will follow buying the fragrance.
The one problem with this is that it has become very common. I know several people who have this. If you want to stand out from the crowd I would buy some thing else.

Scent: 9.5/10

It's not my favorite because it doesn't match my type of skin, it smells strangely on me but this surely is one of the best fragrances the world has ever got.
The most prominent notes are leather, wood, cinnamon, grapefruit and blood orange. It really deserves its prizes as "fragrance of the decade", I have no complaint about it.
10/10.
This really is the male counter-part to Versace Crystal noir - no mention of it but to my nose it has to contain Gardenia and possibly honey with its dry sweetness. the same coconutty creaminess with dark sultry musk and the unsual note of rose which is weirdly delicious in this male fragrance. I am drawn to any man who wears this. My partner wears this and it is perfect with his chemistry but works on me too. A modern-day masterpiece!
this is the super perfume.
you can't reproach anything to this wonder...
It is sooo punchy and LOUD. it shouts for itself around and let u know it's there. it will last for days ( for hours depending on your skin chemistry ).
please dont wear it on daytime. it's like wearing a tuxedo to go to work...and get this right, many already spotted the power of the 1 MILLION. you Can't feel unique nymore but u will definitely feel like a VIP class member.
as many already said , use this potential the right way...a few sprinkles of it will do. more of it and u will displease yourself and especially those around u.
Love the scent but dang it everyone wears this on clubbing night! I know I don't need to wear this because everybody else will be wearing this downtown. 8 out of 10 purely on great scent but lost 2 points on its over use by everyone else.
I made the mistake smelling this last summer! Found it in my fathers bathroom and sniffed it! I instantly hated it! The cinnamon is too strong for a hot day at the pool, with the smell of coconut on me! Very bad choice and huge mistake!
NOW is winter, snow everywhere and very cold weather!!! I just sniffed it again! GORGEOUS!!!
SEXY!!!
ELEGANT!!!
WOW!!! Must get a bottle for my man because it's a TURN ON for me!!!
Smokey sweet,great lasting power,not overwhelming!
Man in a suite should wear this! And in a black expensive car!!!
PS: yes,we should wear our fragrances whenever we want, but sometimes the temperature outside really makes the notes blend and shows the quality of a good perfume!
very nice aroma what else has not been said?? But not my signature scent this is worn by every Tom, Dick and Harry..Not that, that is a bad thing but we all like to be special and individual..
Awesome fragrance. I Just Love It, So Sweet. Projection does matter coz it projects dam fantastic for whole day. If u walk through a crowed, People will follow you, Yes it has a catchy smell. It stays very long. When ever i wear this one ,i get lots of compliments. Girls love this. It might smell unisex, But this one got something different which not feminine like other juicy fragrance. If u Love Sweet smell, Then this one is master piece for u. I wear for party, night dinner. Even it would go for day time. This comes in rich gold bottle, really classic. Very Good. I jus Love This Lovely Fragrance & i like to Give 10/10 for i Million.
It is good perfume...........
Smell little bit hard, citres, fruity but under lemon
You can smell everyware many perfume have smell like this
If you wear 4 or...... Spray more
Bother for you.....
Fragrance impression not expensive
Nothing espacial
Bottle shape is good
5/10
1 Million Is one of best fragrance in the world. I Just Love this Perfume, Its so sweet. The projection is very Very great & Longevity is dam good. It stays stays & stays very long on the skin. If you like sweet smell, Then this is for you. When ever i wear it, I get lots of compliments from people. It will make everyone to turn their heads. Very Beautiful Rich Look Gold bottle. Easy to use. I recommend for everyone who loves sweet smell. A Master piece. PROJECTION: 10, LONGEVITY: 10. Overall i give 10/10...... MUST TRY
I don't get all the love for this fragrance, it's way too cloyingly sweet and smell quite cheap to my nose. I bought it blind reading all the nice reviews about it but ended up giving it away the next day, my friend seemed to enjoy it and it smells a bit better on her.
This is just so sweet. Basically a candycreamed cake, thats what its all about. To smell this in small and light doses can be a pleasant experience but it gets so easily too overwhelming. Do you wanna sit next to a huge candycreamed cake the whole day? I dont think so.
Mebbe you can get away with one spray as a daily fragrance? Maybe. But other than that i would save this one to special purposes like clubbing. That is actually the only place i can see this scent as its comfort zone. This can break through that sweaty smell in there and the great projection gives you that sweet aura around you. The problem in clubbing can be that you found this scent to be too common and you smell like a guy next to you. Well then this scent basically gets kind of worthless.
I also think that this would suit even better with gay people. Many times gay people have asked what they should wear and i would definately recommend to try this. But all of you: Do not overspray this! Trust me.
This fragrance is okay but personally it's not for me. I tried it on at the mall and it smelled like alcohol at first but the dry down reminded me of "Le Male" by Jean Paul Gaultier (which gives me headaches. It's definitely a night time fragrance and it's pretty spicy and warm. I can picture it men 30+ yrs of age. It's also long lasting, which I would consider a plus if someone was interested in this particular fragrance.
This is an addictive scent that can easily turn awry if oversprayed. I made that very mistake on a night out this past weekend. I went with 6 sprays (which for me is a normal application with most fragrances), and thereby set up a 3 foot radius around myself protecting me from any sort of human contact for the rest of the evening. Monstrous sillage and longevity as mentioned by everyone else here. If you don't wash it off it will easily stay on your skin for two days.
I got this as a gift set with a splash aftershave, which is comparable in strength to some of my other edts.
I dislike the uber citrusy, minty sweet opening of this fragrance, but the drydown is great in my opinion. Leathery orange with amber. max 3 sprays. If you fight the urge to exceed this limit, you will be rewarded with a deliciously pleasant scent which is sure to get you compliments, or at least noticed by those around you (Europeans excluded).
spice gourmand with good sillage, but it is also a very common club scent that has become extremely mainstream and its really a love it or hate it scent.
I get a great spicy drydown though and it really has a very unique smell
This is an nice fragrance but it became so commercial and boring at last. Everywhere you smell it, like cool water was in early 90's, Fahrenheit and Jazz. It start out with sweet citrus blast and after 10-20 minutes it turns on to smell like sugar and spice. The smell is and getting intense as time goes by and you have to be careful on how much you apply. Everyone, as it seems, can wear this, the dad, the son, the young guy etc. It is indeed very similar to 212 vip but I would say that vip is more refine and somehow smother, maybe less spicy. For those who are collectors, this is a must try but I dont think that is a must buy in a reason other than to have it in your collection, not because is bad but because you will smell like you neighbour, your friend and generally millions of other. I tend to prefer VIP as I find it more calm and the sugar/spicy does not drill your nose. Definitely, both perfumes are for cold weather and you can't wear them in summer if you know what you are doing.
Ok, this is not a re-review, I am just acknowledging the power of this fragrance and adjusting how i wear it. I sometimes use it daily. One shot to the chest will be muted by clothing. Use the aftershave and then one spray to the forearm. The aftershave will die down in about one hour. Then the only "open" area is on my arm which is usually covered by a lab coat. The shot to the chest will hold all day but is not as in your face as a shot to the neck. In this way I will wear it at work and enjoy the whiffs I get throughout the day but not offend anyone else. Good stuff, but many of the other comments are right, use sparingly so you don't overwhelm.
This is my first day on this website, and my first review, so I'm not going to use fancy words, or adjectives beyond the scope of my vocabulary. I like the smell of this perfume, that is all I have to say about that :o)
1 million smells like strawberries. This is definitely a unisex perfume - I first smelled it on my uncle and always used to sneakily spray it on myself. Now I have a bottle. Haven't used it yet so don't know what my feelings about it would be in the longterm.
I can understand the idea that this smells like bubble gum, but it's more refined than that to me. It is very dense at first, but over time that dissipates and a "clean," orange-tinted, vanillic, cedar scent emerges. There's nothing wrong with it, if you are seeking a recent, party type of fragrance. I think it would be too strong for the office or school unless you are going to spray it on (perhaps one spray!) at least a few hours ahead of time. I don't like this kind of cedar note and it's too strong and gourmand/"synthetic" for me before it gets to that drydown anyway. I thought it would be worse, which for me means Joop! Homme and Black XS, but this isn't bad at all for what it is, though if I wanted this I might think it was a bit overpriced. For something like this, I think I'd go for Citytower instead (among other things, it doesn't have that cedar note I dislike).
Delicious, delicious, delicious. Only now it reminds me of the most rude and obnoxious person in the world who also "forgets to shower" and someone had given them this. Eww...
I agree with Rankn504! I don't know if that word is thrown around in other countries but that wasn't cool.
WOW! This fragrance is perfect for the confident man (or woman) going after what he or she wants. This fragrance reminds me somewhat of Dior Addict 2 and Versace Bright Crystal, but much more powerful and masculine, with a better silage. It also has great longevity, and the packaging is quite unique. However it does seem like every other person is wearing this fragrance, and that does put me off a bit.
Não tenho muito o que falar sobre 1 Million , a unica coisa que digo que é ESPETACULAR , inigualável , fixação e projeção absurda , um dos melhores de todos os tempos.
1 Million falls into that sweet, masculine gourmand category with heavy accords of vanilla, amber, candied orange and cinnamon. In small doses and for a short amount of time, 1 Million is seductive and captivating, yet the more I'm subjected to the smell, the less I enjoy its cloying sweetness.
I can understand the craze surrounding this rather popular scent, but for me personally, I prefer much smoother and more subdued masculines to this one. I don't think I'd like to fall asleep in the arms of my loved one while he was wearing this, for fear of being suffocated.
While the top notes are pleasing to my nose, I find the heart too syrupy and the drydown far too reminiscent of a bag of stale sweets. The scent also borders on unisex, having a certain spicy softness that would wear well on a woman.
I'm afraid I'm one of those women that like rough and herbaceous masculines on her men. My current boyfriend likes fragrances on the sweeter side, a little off the beaten track to what I'm usually used to, but even he doesn't really like 1 Million.
On a more positive note, 1 Million lasts incredibly well and projects itself with monster sillage. In that retrospect, please apply sparingly and with caution as this can be rather potent. Girls may love the scent, but please don't knock them out.
A young guy's scent. Smells like fruity bubble gum and pencil shavings. Good projection and longevity (8+ hours). Not my style, but give it a try. 7.5/10.
I'm not gonna spend too much time on it.
A generic ,extremely popular scent anywhere.
I'll describe it in general just because i wouldn't put it on my skin to test it,it's sweet orangy powdery smell with very high longevity and projection.
Unaccepable quality,and definitley not recommanded.
Sickening fruit bomb. Thick heavy and very scrubbable syrup. Synthetic sweetness to gag on. This is not a men's fragrance, at best this is a room spary for kids rooms.
Absolutely a head turner fragrance...100% great compliment getter...job well done paco rabanne!!!
This cologne gets slammed so hard because of propaganda. I am one who hates the popular stuff as well but I got to hand it to this fragrance. It’s a nice fragrance. Now NO DOUBT the volume is cranked up to 10 and you never need more than 2 sprays MAX! You wear this shit to the movies and somebody is going to throw their popcorn on you and run out the theatre screaming. You wear this to the club or mall and I think its appropriate! Its not a bad smell at all. People just hate it because it caught like wildfire to the people who were perfectly happy wearing AXE! I don’t wear it often as Mon- Fri I work and would never wear it there. To a club though or outing, it will go over well.
My 13 year old son bought this for himself, and he thinks it is great. Please take from that what you want.
In the meantime, I have to go and open a window to get rid of the sickly and overpowering smell.
This is a strong scent, it could be cassified as an eau de parfum for men without any problem. i really love the aroma; persistent, strong, juicy and even somewhat creamy. the problem for me is the name and the bottle; Rabanne Intense, Rabanne Dark, Rabbane Noir, Paco Rabanne Nuit...or whatever , but...c´mon 1 million? in the other hand the bottle is so damn uggly. anyways i really like it i always fall for fragrances that are longlasting and this one really fits the bill, so if i were only to judge the fragrance i would for shure rate it high.
92/100
This has become one of my favorite fragrances. At first I wasn't sure, but I just received SO many compliments on this when I wore it I grew to appreciate its power/value. I am 38 yrs old and new to the fragrance game. I remain young at heart and I feel this fragrance brings this out in me. I don't really know how to distinguish notes, but I know what smells good. To me, it makes me think of a pound cake baking in a leather shop. The leather gives balance to the sweetness enough to make a very delicious masculine scent. I use it daily when I have the notion. I hear all of the reviews say this is a club scent. I don't go to clubs. I go to work and that's about it. I come home and play with the kids. Since I spend more time at work than anywhere else, I like to enjoy wearing a scent to help brighten up my day. I love the longevity. I have nurses after 10 hrs come close to me and remark on how good I smell. Some of my patients rave about how I made their day when wearing this. Mind you, this is long after I have forgotten I have even applied it. Honestly, maybe since I don't club, I haven't smelled anyone else who wears this. So from my point of view, the scent hasn't been worn to death. Most of my male co-workers don't even wear fragrance. So, at the moment, I am unique. I live in the U.S. as well so maybe that has something to do with it. So thumbs up for a great smelling fragrance! I love layering it with the aftershave also.
scent--10/10
longevity--10/10
sillage--10/10 but maybe limit to three sprays in cooler weather, one on each wrist and one on neck or two sprays in warmer weather, one on each wrist and just wear aftershave. The latter suggestion would also apply for working in close quarters.
When I I first smelled this fragrance I liked it, lovely opening, quite sweet, good longevity and silage - all good. However it soon became huge in Europe and now every guy in every club is wearing this stuff, it's like they've been spraying it on the walls in some places! Where I live it has overtaken le male and joop! for most used by my age group (around 18). Most girls adore this stuff, but for me in the dry down it smells similar to fuel for life by diesel which I actually prefer.
In my opinion a good scent that loses my respect due it's huge popularity.
I really like that Fragrance , it was my signature scent in 2008 and 2009 but nowadays every guys wear it in clubs , so i stopped to wear it , i hate smelling like everyone else ..
To me the mid and drydown is super sexy. The women I know love this scent at these intervals the most, and not so much the beginning. It's damn near niche quality with all the ingredients being natural, except the leather portion of this mixture.
I finally tested this at a counter a few weeks ago. I was surprised at how old-fashioned this smells... not 'good' old-fashioned, like some great aromatic fougeres, but just smelling tired and out of touch. It was really over-powering and all I could really detect were a some spices and a bit of wood - the rest just came together as a heap of synthetics that didn't stand out as anything nice in particular. I'm not certain what has caused this fragrance to be so popular - perhaps some people just wear it differently.
Amazing smell. The cinnamon really holds onto the skin. You will receive compliments... When I got this it had just came out. Right now, its not unique at all. Many people wear it.
It's unbelievable how many people have or want this perfume, whenever you go to a random perfume shop this is what they try to sell, like they want everyone to smell exactly the same.
I just bought Ambré by Baldessarini (blind buy) and thought, "oh no, it's another 1 Million copy", luckily it isn't, but the Amber smell is clearly the dominating force in 1 million and Ambré (obviously), great scent, but too bad so many people will smell the same this year and many years to come.
I agree with Geo000 in that if you are looking for a strong and sweet intense parfume well this one is what are you looking for. Dont spray too much as this is very strong stuff. But I can also see how Mr. Lenard can arguethat
"Great if
A) you love the smell of bubble gum and
B) you want to smell like every other kid on a Saturday night in england".
But I looked at the babe reviews and they say they like it . Surely that counts for a 50% vote.LOL.
x Marcel
powerful stuff. lasts a long time. that is the main reason I like it... kind of like armani code/london brit/prada/euphoria intense but crisper.. without too much buttery peppery smells so it cuts through everything else. really good cologne. no wonder it's famous
Sweet, Spicy, and inviting is the best way to describe this scent. Its an extremely pleasent smell for you and those around you. When first sprayed this cologne is a sweet bomb... it almost reminds me of bubblegum. After the first 5 min it starts to settle down and the cinnamon and blood orange are strongly defined. That stays around for quite a while about 3-4 hours. After that it dies down and the scent changes and becomes much more subtle. This is where the wood and leather come through giving it a much more mascuoine smell. This scent is great for winter and fall particularly because of the spicy cinnamon. If your looking for a smell that lasts long and i mean long and projects then this is it. It is definetly different; a very new age, modern male, almost unisex fragrance, but the leather and wood help it find its masculine roots. I liked it alot, but its not really an everyday scent for me.
If you are an energic person and you are looking for a strong intense parfume well this one is what are you looking for.
nice scent but its similar to alot of perfumes i have(rochas, black xs).very good Longevity, perfect for winter time.like it.
my rank 3/5
Am I the only one who smells a more refined version of Lapidus Pour Homme here? The extremely-sweet blood orange top note could easily be identified as pineapple, and its pairing with dusty cinnamon, patchouli, and an odd wintergreen mint lifts the composition into a very strong and masculine realm. Underpinning everything are discreet rose and amber notes, elements that guide this potentially disastrous brew into a successful dry down. Definitely sweet and strange, this scent reads more as a throwback to the powerhouse perfumes of the 1980s, and not as another Le Male clone. I think that everything which made Lapidus unwearable for me finds a solution in 1 Million, and therefore I can't help but like it. Crumby bottle, though.
I decided to take up the samples of 1 MILLION languishing in my queue, having at last given Paco Rabanne LADY MILLION a sniff. How does this couple fare? Well, 1 MILLION is certainly a million times better than his not-so-fair LADY, but that, in and of itself, is fairly faint praise (a million times zero is still zero...).
I understand why the marketers put only .03oz in their sample spray vials: this perfume is strong and could easily overwhelm the wearer and those around him. But I do think that it at least has an identity, unlike LADY MILLION, which smells like someone wore the same cardigan over the course of the winter, changing her perfumes each day, and waiting until the end of the season before setting out for the dry cleaners. Kind of a mingling of many different stale perfumes was for me the take away.
The sample of 1 MILLION I tested yesterday opened with a markedly minty freshness, which many reviewers have described as bubble gum-like. It is the same note which is found in the opening of Vivienne Westwood BOUDOIR and several other perfumes intended for women. So the first point is: this composition does seem at least unisex to me, and I'm not surprised that some guys do not like its feminine side.
Interestingly enough, today's sample was nearly devoid of that "bubblegum" note, leading me to believe that there may be batch issues with this fragrance, which could help to explain the radically disparate receptions among reviewers. Both samples, however, did eventually offer a slightly spicy leather drydown with excellent longevity. The composition also smacks a bit in fleeting waves of certain geranium-nutmeg perfumes. Overall, it is much better than LADY MILLION, and offers another example (cf. Lalique ENCRE NOIRE vs. ENCRE NOIRE POUR ELLE) of the creation of a flanker-quality perfume for women as an afterthought to a successful launch for men. (the Adam's rib trope plays out once again...)
Apparently, this fragrance has been very popular in clubs, but I do not recall having smelled it on anyone in my circles before. Since I have not been jaded by overexposure, I would actually consider wearing 1 MILLION now and then, if I happened to have a bottle around. But I'm not going to make any effort to acquire one at this point. I do think, however, that this is a decent perfume, well worth sniffing by guys and gals alike.
I love this colonge...I usually wear perfume...but this smells amazing. When I first experienced the scent in the store it smelled like some exotic fruit. I had to have it. I'm wearing it right now. I love it.
This fragrance is amazing! Im 14 years old and im a girl , some of my boyfriends wear that perfume and im like omg you smell sooooooooo nice! Everytime i smell this , i feel like the boy who wears this is the sexiest boy!
I think im going to buy this for my boyfriend's birthday or christmas . Totally sexy& amazing!
Good scent, but a lot's of unintelligent guy wears this. And use it as a deo. I'll never buy this. (Cause of this. Good scent, Rabanne earns a lot's of money, but kills individuality... :-( . )
Uniqueness: 2/10
Erotica: 6/10
How i like it: 2/10
Good for a first date? THE BEST --> If you like girls without any brain, choose this one! If not, forget it!
This is a very sweet scent that is definitely not for everybody. But I love it.
It's just a very fun, good smelling scent that's perfect for nights out when you want to just have a good time and act playful, and it lasts a really, really long time on my skin and projection and sillage are out of this world! And most girls will absolutely love this scent if that's what you're looking for in a scent.
Definitely not a scent to go blind buy as its sweetness and "feminity" might be too much for some/most guys. But if you think of yourself as a fun outgoing and not too serious kinda guy, I think this is perfect for you. Just remember that a lot of people might be wearing the same scent due to its popularity ;)
The extraordinary popularity of the smell bothers some, but regardless, I think that is a very good smell. Begin to assess its quality, not its popularity, because in recent years, there are few smells that deserve to be called very good.
Paco! You've done something special...
I see the reviews and the total votes 1200+! and i already know how late it is...(im sorry for my bad english)
This is exactly why i dont like most most fragrances nowadays... and Paco Rabanne sold his soul in here..
The name says it : its one million or as i say 'just one of the many millions..." how mainstream...
Its an overedged and overrated scent with al ingredients tending to be mucho macho.
I see boys wanna be men in a discotheques lurking on young women trying to get eyecontact but not manly enough to confront them asking to have a drink or have a nice conversation, they stand with the boys being macho and laugh trying to hide their insecureness...
this scent is not horrible but its has no soul... i need SOUL in a scent i need have a scent with a story!
With this scent i can only think of the times we live in now... hasty, crowded, fast, aggitated multimedia overconsumed and shallow...
And again i get more and more hunger back to the days of real romantics...
from all fragrances in my wardrobe this 1 is super loud frag even you don't spray the juices. my hubby adore it so much, it very chic magnet;)
If you gourmand type and like black xs, diesel fuel for life you will love 1 million is same genre... next
sillage, everyone will notice even you in the next room
longevity, one day or more
I'm by no means an expert, but I really like the way this smells and have had a ton of compliments from ladies when I wear it. I've also had guys ask me what I was wearing because they like it and want to add it to their collections. Projects very well, I spray once on my neck and once on each wrist. On me it lasts all day, sometimes even until the next morning.
i just read the comments and to be honest im really surprised...almost everybody who i know just adores this smell...personally i dont think there is another smell similar to it..its just MAGNIFICENT...the truth is that even though im a girl i have it and always get compliments...
maybe it's just my body chemistry, but once you get past the initial notes, this stuff just smells like chemically baby powder. i thought it was intriguing out of the bottle and for the first few minutes, but i just couldn't figure out why you'd want something that starts the way this starts to dry down to light powder notes.

from a girls point of view, this is sexy! keep it up guys ;)
i think this is unisex.totally unisex.very sexy, yes, but can be easilly weard by a strong woman who likes oriental frags.
i see no reason to handle this any longer.this fragrance when drydown smells like a wet cocoa powder,no more no less, neither woods nor spicey!,it is sweet and sweet only. i wonder it to be worn by men.of course, wonders shall never cease
believe me this one very close to charriol golden intense which i have added its picture above among the remind you of list
PLS check it
Too many comments for tis perfume and i have to give my.I have a crazy relationship with this fragrance, it's relation ship, wich i call-Love-Hate!someone will say that kitsch, i agree, but to the another side, there something in it fragrance.I mean,i recived many compliments, especialy from female side, i dont know , something like same kind of aphrodisiac, and i am glad because.Fragrance, with many controversy, but definitely, creates a legend on it,in both direction i mean, good and bad, somethins like a anothers perfumes of Mr.Paco Rabanne, like XS or Black XS and many others. And one more thing, many fragrances, after him ,is nothing but just carbon-copy.Tha latest is Carollina Herrera 212 Vip Man.i dont know, meaby it's best satisfaction, how good perfume is actually. For me, actually, not my favorite, for example,i prefer more Blue Sugar by Aquolina, yes this is 'Diesel perfumes, but also is not bad,i heavy already said, especialy for chicks!
No, disgusting. Utter crap, synthetic, cloying beast of sweet + synthetic.
This gives me a weird orange mixed with some chemical almond accord and dull spices. And that 'designer parfum' or synthetic calone vibe that are normally associated with these 'High street' offerings. Resembles Chanel Allure Sport a little, though that is detectably more refined, just. I do not like the Paco Rabanne house one bit.
1/5, because it has a gold bar bottle, though that could be a bad thing due to being misleading, so more like 0/5 really. I'm stuck on this one, a 0 or a 1? This could take a while. 'The verdict is ou---'
A sales bomb no doubt it has its followers , in very large numbers, so I'll just say no more and quietly step aside, taking very large steps.
i just finished a bottle of this. still thinking that this is a masterpiece and none could replace it. the blood orange and cinnamon are well blended and make it very harmony.
this is a modern fragrance for younger generation which is very suitable for night out. the sillage and longevity unbeatable. this is the best!!!
I am surprised to see such a mainstream (and unbearably banal) name chosen for a Paco Rabanne perfume (really, the press release notes don't save it for me at all) only because I remember the designer has always maintained a highly regarded spiritual and metaphysical profile.
And think! This all glossy / "made to sell" creation isn't even named "Gold"!
So, while as a perfume it's not bad, I find it hard to like it since I feel it underestimates my intelligence.
"1 Million" to me, is the smell of deception.
When 1M was released (where I live ) , almost every man I know wore it ! I could smell it everywhere !
Strong, sharp, long lasting, extra sillage, and many other advantages that made me decide to have it .
It didn't go well with my skin chemistry , too sweet for my nose, and it was a huge disappointment for me.
Anyway, it took only one year for this 1M to stop charming those who adore it when it was first released !
Not a friendly adore , I could describe it .
This scent is a beautiful harmony of notes that blends well together, IMO. If you spray to much it can be intense so modify how much is too much but truthfully told, women love this fragrance as a lot have mentioned. You will get noticed because, yes, it does smell amazing and it's long lasting. Long after you forgot that you are wearing it, it still creeps up on you and you'll end up smelling yourself. It is feminine but if you are the right guy, you will be able to pull this off. I think it's more for the confident, metro kind of guy who loves to dress nicely and is handsome. I've gotten tons of compliments and it's popular in name.
8.5/10
every girl i know agrees that this is the sexiest scent on a man ever. I've always wanted ex boyfriends to wear this as i love it so much, but only my current boyfriend (my 1st love) bought it when i mentioned it. And although it smells gorgeous on him, i actually perfer his natural scent more than this when he wears it.
It is sexy and alluring and any girl falls for it!
My husband chose this for his everyday scent but it doesn't grab me like Dunhill Desire Red.
Sexy,suave & masculine.
I got really surprised when I smelled the Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy. It smells like this - 1 Million. But I can definitely say that this one settles more manly. Its just that - I can't express the name? I mean, where is the 1 Million? I don't know may be I'm just expecting too much when I first took a spray. It was a surprised gift from my sister and I love it 'til now. Though, seldom that I use this since I feel dizzy specially during sunny weather. So for me this one is good and recommended for Christmas season.
I am a woman and it is a great distaste to smell this almost everywhere I go on men. Yuck! Way too sweet and metrosexual... Not sexy at all, a man should never smell sweeter than a woman!
I couldn't really delve into a review of this one... or perhaps I don't feel like it. 1 Million is something I sampled recently just to smell for myself. And quickly realized THIS is what I've been smelling on guys recently: everywhere, all the time. I dozed off immediately, but did find the next-day trace on my jacket sleeve quite appealing. Annoying, but appealing.
Women need like 10 milliseconds to analyze Men. It just makes sense for us Men to project ourselves in a subtle manner. Unless of course you are in high school & you need to yell across the hall which is exactly what this scent does.
Without a shadow of doubt this scent smells lavish but I can’t endorse this as a masculine fragrance. It’s just too damn shrill & syrupy. I would rather smell this on a woman’s neck then on my jacket. That's exactly the reason why my 5 ml sample has found it's way into my ladylove's closet.
P.S. If the Women counterpart was named "Lady Million" then why they couldn't name this as "Gents Million"?!
I have tested this a few times, and just tested it again today. It's a very nice fragrance. However. I think it's very simular to Jacques Bogart's Silver scent. With Jacques Bogart's Silver scent being better than 1 million in all areas. Such as, projection, lasting power, and fullness of the scent. They both have that flowaral orange blossom thing going on with it. The difference is that Silver scent is the same from the moment you spray it on to when it dries down. Simply put 1 million's dry down smells like Silver Scent's entire smell. Silver scent doesn't have the bubble gum quality in the begining like 1 million. Silver scent projects really way better than 1 million and you will get noticed. 1 million's bottle is some what tacky and isn't worth the price since you can find Silver Scent at half the cost along with having a normal looking bottle to boot. All in all a good scent but Silver Scent is just way better.
By spraying this fragance on my skin I found it perfect for the first 10 minutes. Then, I concluded it as a boring smell calling headache. To tell the truth I would recommend it for teenagers who want to pick up the girls at the party^(
Remember those irritating 80's Yuppies ? Well, this is exactly the type of frag' they'd have gone totally mad for & would want to be seen with. Proudly displayed on bathroom cabinets for all to see. (Probably even specifically spot-lit ;o). 1 Million is like a throwback (forward?) equivalent for the 2000's.
A tooo sweet, headache-inducing, cheap synthetic-smelling, fruity bubblegum-woody, with nuclear sillage ! : ... It's LOUD , BRASH , PRETENTIOUS , CHEAP , VULGAR , GIMMICKY and so TACKY (that bottle !) And now, unfortunately, also UBIQUITOUS to the max. And all whilst being just average and wholly unremarkable really ! (Although I must admit it improves remarkably towards it's drydown phase, smelling much better then.)
Regardless, it's still the perfect example and a master lesson on the magic of packaging & marketing - which is the actual reason behind 1Million's success IMO, more so that it's actual scent. As there are much, much better and more deserving-of-hype scents around, that's for damned sure.)
Mostly suited to average showoff faux wannabe types, who think they do but don't know any better !
Of course the only one with the "millions" is Paco Rabanne laughing all the way to the bank.
Great stuff. If I had to describe the smell, think Givenchy's Xeryus Rouge + Versace's Dreamer and the then add a faint smell of bubblegum. That's what I get when smelling it. I just received a vial sample at the mall the other day and I'm enjoying it even more everyday I use it. Think i might make a purchase.
To every one that says that this is the best frag ever... i can't agree with you on that. OK look, I have it, I like but... I don't love it, I always knew what this frag was but i had never actually smelt it till i got it (lol) it has a sweet berry smell to it which then turns soft and it last's for hours which is good, but its defiantly not spicy, i was expecting it to be better than Le Male but it's not, i would ware 1 Million on a date with a girl or to a party at night but not to a club. 8.5/10 for me :)

I don't care that a lot of people wear this. If it smells delicious i will wear it. its crazy how girls love this so much. I really pick up sweet bubble gum from top to mid, but then it goes into a perfect woody bubble gum. If u don't wear this just because its too popular then please go right ahead another less person that smells like me in my world. lol
I bought this for hubby recently and I have to say my new happy place is waking up to the smell of this on his skin first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
It is spicy and syrupy without being too heavy.
It lasts all day and I just love it. He is totally sold on it also. big thumbs up!
Great perfume in the beginning then like 60% of the guys that walk around wear it,im disguist maybe its because of the gold colour that men are attracted to,i wont buy it again never
It was such a good perfume when it came out in 2008. Since than almost all metrosexual guy wears it... I would never buy it again, it makes me sick, and it is such a common fragrance even worse than Le Male.
Possibly the most cloying and over sprayed fragrance in history. Didn't think it was possible, but this has taken the crown from Le Male. When I picture who wears this I think of Clowns in a 3 ring circus.
Party , Party and Party......10/10.
It's sweet. The drydown smells like Le Male by JPG.
Don't get stuck in a train sitting next to someone who has drenched themselves in this juice it should have a warning on the blingblingtastic bottle SPRAY WITH CARE not one for me it just is overpowering chavvy shouty fragrance not for those with any taste, unless you want to join the many millions of wearers
My story began well 3 years ago in 2008 when it first came out i was 26 years old. Every now again through the mists and sprays in a department store you find a mainstream fragrance that hits the spot and you have to buy at the soonest opportunity. This has happened twice to me, the first was Hugo boss bottled and the 2nd was 1 million !.
3 years on everyone wears this and its the most popular fragrance in the uk, but before the fragrance snobs turned there nose up at this due to the fact the masses or peasants as they view them began wearing this. I wore it during the first few months it was out and everywhere i went i was getting complements. I remember during the a bonfire night a girl went " someone smells amazing !!!!" I began to blush while girls came closer to smells, so yeh 1 million is a girl magnet one of the best i've wore.
But as months passed i discovered that a few of my mates had bought this fragrance and they were wearing this, even their dads were using it went i bumped into them at the pub and during shooting. My brother has also wanted this for his b-day in 2011, so its seems the populance of 1 million will not fade at any time soon.
Very few fragrances when applied can be called like dropping a nuke but 1 million is one of them it might not be on the same level as Joop! Homme but its not far behind. Overall i get 8-10 hours with 1 million so it is extremely strong.
The smells its self when first applied you get the grapefruit and orange note when some hate but i quite like, when it drys down i can smell the rose and the fragrance gets more spicy
But not to sound blunt the reason its so popular is because its so good but that has also been a double-edged sword every ned and man clubbing is wearing it, so u will not feel unique wearing this but you will smell good and thats is half the battle.
Awful tasteless piece of Sh.........eeer Caramel Apple that wants to be "classy" but fails miserable like a rapper trying to be "posh" going to the opera without even having a grasp on dress code or behaviour in such a refined establishment.
50 Cent, the rapper, has more taste despite the fragrance slogan could go something like "Get rich quick, or die trying!!!"
Worst scent of the last few years IMOO.
One of the most disappointing fragrances I ever sniffed. It is sweet, very sweet, I'd say unisex at the best. And loud.
After 1 hr it is gone.
I imagine it would be great as a present for a girl who thinks it's cool to play with the boys' toys.
The bottle is horrid, has something of a chocolate box from a very poor country, where they don't know what chocolate is.
a masterpiece from paco rabbane
This one is loud! I'm no expert but to me this one says - correction - SHOUTS night club!
I did like this when I first bought it and wore it during the day and evenings. I know better now and don't wear at all as its really not me. I sprayed some in the car once to freshen it up. I sprayed too much and got a headache. Now I'm really turned off it as it now reminds me of a full on car air freshener - a pet hate of mine!
I'm not writing it off and it does have redeeming features in its unmistakable character with is sweetness and sage(y) persistence. I suppose its a bit like Lynx in the sense that it serves its purpose in a no fuss and loud kinda way. It lets people know your out for the night and you have some smelly on. So for young guys that want to make a loud entrance I'd say go for it. For me I'm in my 30's and Lynx type smells are a thing of the past. Its fine, everything has its place.
Just be careful on the dosage and experiment as too much is a headache. Less is probably more for a more subtle effect.
I'd like to get some female perspectives on this one but I sense the ones I want to attract wont like this.
To summarise - Loud, Fun, Pop style, young, night club, easy does it.
No doubt this fragrance is nice soft and worm but I think there are better fragrances with such compliments
for me like not love
unfortunatly this was my ex's cologne, the only reason i cant stand the smell of it any more. smells so sexy though! would defo melt for a guy wearing this!
beautiful creation, and even if it is difficult to create something new these days and so much more easy just to copy something already existent, these guys made it. unique and remarkable, and personally it is also unisex. However, for some reason, it doesnt work on my skin, it is much nicer on paper... :(
I would never buy this perfume simply because of the tv ad. I just hate it so bad I wouldn't want to be related to it by any means.
This cologne is a beast.
It's loud. It's rude. It doesn't care. It's for the life of the party. Wearing this and going unnoticed is impossible. Some will love this, some will hate this.
I personally love it. Starts of fresh and fruity, then calms down to a sweet smell that is very similar to bubblegum. Great for the club!
This fragrance opens up with a blast of floral notes and the middle notes are more toned down. Spicy, thats where the cinnamon comes in. Then the dry down is more woodsy....with a hint of leather. Overall this scent def gets a 8.5/10 I wear it at night time to social events and, the ladies seem to take to it. Not to complicated but mysterious enough for someone to ask you "What cologne are you wearing"
The box n bottle themselves are amazing presentation for wats coming next.
When I first tried this one on at store I was like WoW I’m buying this right now.
It opens with exotic type ov fresh sweet n fruity notes, not cloyingly sweet tho, n then it dries down to show more woodsy n leathery notes in the heart n base.
At first I thought this could be a unisex frag b’coz ov the sweet notes, but when it dries down No this is a masculine frag for sure.
It has a pretty good longevity especially on clothes; it lasts like forever I still can smell it on shirts even after washing ‘em.
Projection is great, however, it projects less on me, but I love whiffing it on others, it fills the whole place.
Is more likely to be a winter frag, coz it might be a bit cloying n powdery for some in hotter days.
I think it targets the younger crowd from age 20 to 45, n if somebody older wears this I dunno it might be bit weird to me I guess.
I Love it!!, will always be in my collection.
I Love this smell!!! Masculine, fresh, sexy, sweet! Does anyone smell apples in this? Maybe its the cinnamon that reminds me of apple pie. You can eat this man all up from head to toe. I will eat him one million times if I could!!! Did I mention sexy?!
A pretty fragrance, with a modern, not too complex character, easy going and quite sexy, longevity okay but others have better staying power..
But, if you cannot cope we so many people wearing this, then it dies an immediate death, all in the head I know but we are only human though...slain by popularity
Come on guy's,let's get reall, this stuff is a good mixture..long lasting and smells awesome..
Other wise, those who disagree, please get your noses checked..
It's quite good fragrance but that rose not makes it heavy to wear for me. It's one of the fragrances you like or dislike.. Great initial notes made me buy it but I couldn't use it everyday, it's just too annoying because of that rose....
Yeah this is sweeeet and alittle floral, pretty much pleasant but nothin ground breaking, the silage and longevity are really good, it kinda reminds me of typical Paco Rabanne fragrances, I have to be honest I dont get those spices listed or given the fact that its in the Woody Spicy group... it is definitley worth a try...
But let me tell you this, girls do respond positively to it and U do feel good puttin this on BUT here comes my PROBLEM... I tried on a sample to test it when I went out clubbin and I have to say this, (without wanting to exagerrate, this is VERY popular... In germany most especially), I mean I came in and I could have sworn every 3rd Person I walked by (men offcourse) was either clad in a 1 Million similar Fragrance or it was definitley 1 Million on everyone, ever since then I gave it up... but its good, I would give it a 4/5
if your a fan of sweet perfumes then you will love this one, one of the best perfumes around i get compliments every where i go its a chick magnet
My take on 1 Million.. I'm not going to start off saying it smells like bubble gum.. I get NOTHING like that.. If you're familiar with the drink, Wassail, it will ignite a lightbulb in your head.. Ingredients for Wassail: Apple Juice, Orange Juice, Lemon, Cinnamon sticks, Cloves, Sugar (and a few more).. I don't know if it's just my skin, but the blood orange seems to stick around for the first few hours rather than half hour like most say. The cinnamon is also basically an anchor with patchouli throughout the fragrance. I read earlier that someone mentioned a similar opening to Ferrari Black (love the scent, hate the poor longevity) and I would agree; somewhat like Black Intense. I understand where the unisex vibe is coming from, but this is definitely love at first sniff from a blind buy.. Great Job Paco!
very fruity, too much sweet and very feminine.i didnt like, although i have to say, preety nice name and bottle,10 for the innovation.
I bought this for my boyfriend on a whim & I'm glad I did. He loves it. It's a very warm scent, but is still quite fresh.
this one too sweet for me ,but yeah it last until the next day :) if u r into sweet,go for it! otherwise u will get some headache
One of the greatest and daring male scents to come from Paco in awhile.
Rich, powerful, and long lasting - I think of this as a new Joop Homme for a new generation.
Occasion: Best in fall and winter, night mainly but prehaps day aswell, casual.
Longevity: 9/10
Projection: 8/10
Scent: 7/10
Uniqueness: 9/10
Versatility: 6/10
OVERALL: 39/50
this fragrance sucks. so sorry. its not worth the hype that everyone is making. yes it smells good..but it does not smell original at all. ive smelled better drug store fragrances. the best paco.... hmm ultraviolet. this smells cheap and powdery.
A very sweet fragrance that screams to everybody: Hey, look, I'm a super cool guy, let's talk!
I think this one is a great fragrance for clubbing (younger crowd), and that's it. It's hard to see this one working everywhere else since it is so potent and sickly sweet.
It starts with a citrus vibe granted by the blood orange, and as time goes by, you will smell something resembling a grape bubblegum.
anyway, a good, long lasting, and beast in projection scent that will for sure collect compliments.
I know this is for men but I love it and would love to use it! I had a sample which made me fall in love with it. I love the bottle and the fragrance lasts forever...it's wonderful and I would definitely buy it when I finish one of my existing perfumes. I think it is quite fancy and I would use it on special occasions.
I have this, i am in my 30´s and i wear this with no shame.
My signature is Lalique White, so go figure. Two totally different worlds.
I will not bash a fragrance because its overhyped, for ads spending, or because it is targeted for young people.
I will start my review without any of this prejudices.
One million Starts with a extremely powerfull blast of
fruity cinnamon. Blood orange and Grapefruit are present, rose is present too, but it is difficult to isolate it from the other elements. Its Sweet, a bit cloying, but i like it.
After 45 minutes it driesdown, it calms and the white woods make their presence felt, the fragrance turns pleasant and it projects superbly. (turns into a sweety and white woody scent)
I have used it in the morning, with just two sprays, my granma told me i smelled great. ( she uses Paloma Picasso which is considered old and luxurious, so go figure again)
This fragrance needs understanding, you need to know to go 4 sprays max at night and two at day. I dont agree it is only for clubbing, for me, it is a happy scent, not an office smell by any means, but you can use it mildly on the weekends.
It doesnt smell cheap nor it smells expensive, but its power must be respected in order to get the right attention.
Women seems to like it, younger ones mostly, but it turns to be just good but not excellent with 25+ ladies.
Obviously this thing can be used for a nice clubbing night when you want to turn heads as it cuts trough smoke with ease.
99% of the people are not fan of complex perfumes, woman included, so i get compliments even if it is not a luxury item.
Duration 10 (12 hours, 4-5 loud 6 moderate and then an skin scent)
sillage 10 (it can fight Amen amd JOOP Homme in an epic battle without losing ground)
scent 7
Recommended for happy and wild moments.(you know what i mean)
it's very flirty, sensuals, sweet,& chick magnet scent
my Score 10/10 (Amazin Scent from Paco Rabbane)
Paco rabanne 1 million???!!
Holy, where do i start? i got this cologne the same day that i got hollister Jake & dolce & gabbanna The One. This IS without a doubt my most favourite fragrance ever on the entire planet. i dont care that lots of people have it, it smells amazing! and i mean it!
Everything about this cologne is perfect to me, Longevity ? wow i i put this on in the morning after a shower and then when i wake upp the next morning.. Its STILL there !!. what else?, Prjection oh my god this projects SOOOO WELL its veryyy strong but its a good strong becuause its so amazing, i can honestly say that there isnt anything out there like this, and if there was that nobody would buy it because this is the original one.
Also The bottle, People think its to plain and simple, to me all you have to do is incorporate the history of paco rabanne and the name of the cologne and bam! you know why it looks like a gold bar. i love the bottle, sure i like other bottles more but i cant make fun of it because honestly i myself cant make such a insanely amazing cologne or bottle like this so i cant make fun of it,
The notes in this that i smell. are Definately that blood orange i was really excited when i got this because i didnt know what blood orange smelt like so i was really excited, also another not that i definaately smell is the mint, and also the cinnamon and the rose, those four scents are blended together perfectly, the result.. it smells like bubblegum, but its actually very different and i love it, its not exactly bubblegum but its very very very much like bubblegum, of course there are woodsy notes and other spices,
at the drydown i get almost a musky and still somewhat of that bubblegum with not to much vanilla but enough that its a bit vanilla'y
Rating-
Longevity- 10/10 Lasts longer then youll probly want it to
Projection- 10/10 Projects like a beast !
SMell- 11/10 amazing! love this !
Overall rating-10.5/10
Hope this helped,
P.s- id buy it if i were you !

I wore this to a club hollywood in amsterdam last night and I had girls sniffing the whole night with endless compliments..this one is definatly for younger crowd and i reccomend it greatly if you want to be noticed.
greetings from holland :)
Seeing how cut down the middle people are with this one, i just had to review it.
1 Million by Paco Rabanne starts out with a blast of blood orange grapefruit and rose, and as it sits for a few seconds the cooling and buttery mint comes immediately into play.
As this beast dries down you're left with this weird shadow of the citrus's which dominated it earlier, just a suggestion, an implication. While the amber, blonde leather, rose, cinnamon and woods(i detect ceder) mingle together for HOURS.
A very pleasing sweet scent, will be buying a 6.8 when i get a chance!
I approve (kids it's not all about advertising, don't hate something just because someone is paying money on ads)
Smell: 10
Longevity: 10
Sillage: 10
first stage i get the sexy blood orange blend with mint, 10 minutes later i get rose with cinnamon which is too strong for me. later comes the best part, sweet woody scent.
Ok, ok folks, whether a lot of people are buying because of the perfume title/perfume bottle or because of the fragrance is none of my business. For instance, I blindly bought it....
This said, lets go to the review itself: The perfume opens with a very horrible, nauseating and irritating sweetness from sugar, from fruits and God knows what else they've put inside the bottle. At this perticular time expect not even to feel your own nose for 30 seconds.....then...the scent explodes with mint and keeps its sweetness, way over I'd like.... Cheap, ordinary, exagerated, overdone, and remembers chewing gum, just a little bit exotic....
Whom it's intended for: whoever likes to be noticed, at all costs....believe me, you wouldn't go unnoticed wearing this perfume..... Today a woman even changed seat because of this perfume....away from and not toward me.....
It's not very masculine, and could be worn by men and women....although I think it goes better on men.....I only use this perfume to have some fun...but I honestly like it most on others than on myself....(probably, my skin's fault)...
Sillage: 10
Bottle: 9 (it has a great appeal)
Fragrance itself: 5,5
Target market: mid 30's men
lasting: 24h (send your clothes to dry clean after wearing or just burn them)
The X-factor ( little something special): 4
Overall score:6
Not in my business if most of people love it. Strongly dislike. Don't wanna tell off and you don't get angry please.
This stuff that covered all of shops and still appears on urban ads, is just a perfume, that's it, nothing more. "Alfarome" mentioned something that shows his insight: Tree perfumers behind it and the result...
1. After studying many books about arts and writing quiet a few articles about aesthetics, I reckon this ugly bottle strictly out of ART! The gold bar emerges from the concept of being rich. I believe that bottle supports the smell, for example about Tom Ford Private Blend collection, you can find similar smells or better but eye catching bottle is winner. Ford launched perfumes in immensely charming bottle because he knows how attract customer.
2. Personally I think smell is horrible but it's only on my taste. They seems have put all of spices and herbs in the world to make an attractive blend but the result turned to witches' elixirs but that can be good too!
3. Being rated as one of the most popular perfumes decreases its rank; it becomes normal and familiar for all people and then doesn't attract anymore. People mostly buy because of its bottle and never think that the smell is important; you can't carry the bottle to allure! Me, never care to those perfumes that are being sold even in pharmacies, launching even headphones and accessories! Actually, if I find under wear in its package I won't be surprised. This range produce everything to fascinate customers, which are mainly rookie and are being attracted with any suggestion from foxy perfume sellers!
So, do not be cheated by ads; they exaggerate everything and they already know you!
its a good perfume lot of people are flaming about it because 1 million turned into a hype, yeah but nevertheless its a very good perfume !
But i want to give you the chance to try similar fragrances if you dont like to be like the mass !!
similar fragrances to PR 1 Million
1. Parfum D`Or Kristel Saint Martin pour Homme i got both PR and Kristel exact the samce except the price
2. antonio banderas the secret just heard
3. Black Soul Ted Lapidus just heard thats the same
4.Charriol Royal Gold Eau de Toilette Intense
5. Playboy-Press to Play Hollywood just heard
6.Dreamer Versace for men just heard
most of them are very cheap !!!
wow... the sweetness, the woodiness... sexy especially the drydown
1 Million is great for yong people, for clubing. It's to sweet for my taste.
It took three master perfumeurs to create 1 Million. Not just one, but three. And the result? An annoying and overly sweet bubblegum. Fine, but they should have named it 1 Cent.
Rating: 5/10 for the smell
9/10 for its popularity
nice fragrance piece from Paco....unique in it's composition and note... and sure smells nice too...but the bottle seems a little too dramatic!
Yikes!
People are slamming this one really hard. I will add though that sometimes this one is just really THERE! It’s a silage MONSTER! I don’t see the femininity in this one that some describe. Just make sure that you don’t spray too much on because whatever strength you observe when you put it on is pretty close to how strongly you will smell later on in the day. Lastly, maybe it’s just me but not only do I not smell this one out and about typically I don’t think that a lot of men even wear cologne and I could probably smell an ant fart in a tornado.
If there was an atomic bomb of sweetness that would be it. I believe it just can't get any sweeter than this.
Now, why the hell a guy would like to smell over-candified, I just do not get it. That remains a big question.
PS: On Fridays and Saturdays the tube smells only of 1 million. Like a tube of Smarties..
Love the smell, wouldnt class it as woody though, it is quite sweet
Lots of my female friends said they could wear it too and I agree, I would ;)
Firstly I really don't like the frangrance, next everybody wears it. It has become so annoying as a song which is played 1000 per day on the radio.
i suppose they thought to artificially sweeten up this one and covering it with a fake and cheap toy imposter gold bar would tantamount to a benchmark.I TOOK PITY ON THEM.it is close to nothing and time is keeping on killing it.it makes me want to cry.WOODS PATHETIC
I so agree with ladymillion1234---I went to my local pharmcy and so happen to smell this perfume and let me tell you I was hypmotized---Even though it says for men I loved it I actually kept smelling my wrst over and over because I loved it so much---I wonder what the women version smells like.
So why the bad rep? The bottle? Maybe! The marketing? Could be! The scent? Shouldn't be. Now you may not like this scent but to call it awful, well.... is awful. It smells great, it is fun and playful and inviting. It is immature (and even the most sophisticated human should have a little kid in them every so often) and a bit flirty.
Now on to the fragrance. This smells like fruit punch/juicy fruit gum and even heard Smarties (the little roll of candy you give out for Halloween). Does any of them smell bad? No, is it done bad in this fragrance? No! Maybe the fragrance guru's don't like this scent because it doesn't match the Azzaro Pour Homme, Hairy Chest Cave Men or maybe because it is just what I described, immature, playful, fun, inviting and maybe a bit unsophisticated. But I love it for that reason. For the first two hours or so you get that scent and it could be loud on a bus, or on in an office (though I wore it twice and my coworkers didn't complain, maybe I will crank up the sprayer to see if I can get them going on a casual Friday LOL), or somewhere of that nature (all places I wouldn't wear this on a regular basis). However at a club on a date or somewhere fun this is a great fragrance. It is a life of the party type of scent, you will get noticed and people will think something (disgusting or inviting depends on the person).
After two hours this dries down quite a bit and becomes a sweet vanilla with powder, with a hint of a leathery sweetness. This is what it will smell like for the rest of its life which is quite long but not as long as people have written (nor do I get the monstrous projection). The scent is rather safe after the first few hours and people will say you smell good (or sweet) and it becomes a bit more feminine (though it has traits of this in the top).
Overall I give this a... say 8 out of 10, 4 out of 5. Just as the marketing campaign portrays this fragrance does, though I have snapped my fingers a few times while wearing it and nothing happened :o)
Such a beautiful fragrance, Paco, but your best work is still Black xs.
One Million begins with the sweet fruitiness reminiscent to the fruity top of Ferrari black, which doesn't completely die off.
Some floral notes attempt to soften the blow but end up less than subtle
The whole gorgeously sweet, edible, exotically gourmand body of the scent has me thinking of caramel toffees (that would be the cinnamon, amber, leather and patchouli)
Oddly soft Intensity of tonka without the rotten, sticky pungent bitterness.
Not a classy fragrance, but instead confident, indulgent, and lone standing, even though less than masculine.
This is one of those scents I give an exception when it comes to the popularity, but to be honest, I've only known one guy to wear this; a modern, stylish fella at my work named Brad, a really nice guy with great taste in scents. He wears it perfectly because he wears only just less than alot (that made sense) and projects it well.
n my opinion, 1 spray on each wrist, shoulder and cheek will be enough, not too lil or lot. That's how I wear Black XS and my Jo Malone samples.
Acqu Di Gio, Cool Water and Joop, now there's some over worn scents
I don't own a bottle of 1 million but i wouldn't mind buying one even though it is a mens cologne it smells great i think its more of a unisex fragrance then it just being called for men but thats what i think
ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet, floral and seductive scent. Flirty and playful for those with a nose for unisex, sweet and sensuous male scents, you'll probably love it, I know I do. However, as often there is a catch, which is two-fold. For anyone in the UK and London in particular, this is pretty much half the male populations 'signature scent'. So much so that I don't wear it so much as I don't want to smell like everyone else (Black XS also suffers a similar fate in my locale unfortunately). I know that might make me sound like a snob - I'm not, I just don't want to smell like I'm wearing 'regulation cologne'. Equally, this scent lends itself to clubbing and partying, not a formal white-collar context.
My boyfriend had this and I didn't like it much. For me, it smells like Car Freshener, not sexy at all!
Very nice bottle design though..
I am not one who will rate a fragrance because of its popularity. I rate fragrances based off of what they are.
With that preface, lets talk about 1 million. I really like this fragrance, it may be third on my list as of right now behind Pure Malt and Allure Sport. This much like Rochas are my fun fragrances. When I am feeling a little playful and flirtatious I put these on, just to enjoy myself. It opens with that blood orange kick (didn't know what it was until recently) and that stays around for I don't know 20 minutes, then it becomes Juicy Fruit gum or a pack of starburst with some woods creeping in.
Once it is completely dry it becomes a sweet vanilla powdery smell, which is good but has nothing on the middle. Needless to say, if you are looking for a really fun fragrance this is the one to try. I have a 3.4 and am sure it will take me a year or more to go through just because I work in Accounting and because of the people I interact with wearing it to work is not something I can do regularly and I don't go out much at all. But overall really good fun, flirty scent that is not all overrated.
Pacco opens up with a rich shot of Blood orange and mint. When i firdt smelled the oppening i was in heaven! Very fresh ! After 30min. this fresh aroma started to get sweet like bubble gum sweet. Thats when i got turnt off. In the middle this sweet aroma gets invaded with some woods and save this a lil bit.
At the bottom notes this is left with woods with a ghostly grapefruit lingering! I WANTED to like this one but i got sweet! BTW i tested this in the summer in 90 degre wheather ,daytime. so mabey it was too hot and it got so sweet and i couldnt stand it. ill try it again this winter comming up maybe ill like it better in the colder months. all in all a good frag.
Progection:intense
Longevity:8-10 hours on my skin
smell:good(sweet)
occation:night-wear/clubbing
season:winter/summer nights
One Million is bold, great and a sweet fragrance, somehow.
I really like it. It's been one of my personal fragrances, but not a really day-by-day parfum.
It's young, fresh, ellegant. But when it gets too much, you may sound like a diva. And that ain't really my point.
After all, I'd say: great fragrance. Just don't effin' push it.
If you’re looking for a scent to wear all the time, this isn’t it. However if you’re looking to buy a second scent for dates and the club, then this is your guy.
Scent strength: intense
Recommended age: anyone
Scent life: 11-18+ hours
Recommended use: evening
Classification: oriental
agree with Scentszilla, there is nothing special about this perfume, but everybody talks about this as a piece of a miracle. only miracle here is good public communications and adds. but there are a lot much more better male scents!
Here is the perfect example of the enormous power behind fragrance naming and packaging. What people are purchasing here, is not actually the scent contained within, but the idea of owning a gold ingot worth "one million". (Even if only in gaudy worthless "plastic"). ~ Guaranteed that if this mediocre discordant scent had been housed in any other bottle, it would not have sold a tenth of it's current sales. ...
~ A little clever human psychology and design, and the only person getting the "One Million", (and laughing all the way to the bank, I'm sure), is Monsieur Paco Rabanne !
The GOLDEN Aromatic Accord, no doubt. Top seller rank, mainstream popularity and a guaranteed instant captivator.
It's a divine aroma, the sweat of a god. Luxurious and sensually delightful, yet maintaining masculinity and strength.
It's got to be the mix of MINT and ROSE, among other notes that create the spicy fresh smell, being grasped by a leathery patchouli/amber base.
PR 1 Million should be going out on a date with Chanel No. 5... and have enchanted babies.
Longevity and sillage are just ideal.
tested this today at the Fragrance Shop and did not like it. Very sweet, not masculine and reminded me of a type of "bubblegum"...(maybe a tutti frutti flavour?) I tested this along with Thierry Mugler's A*Men (which I HATED) and YSL's La Nuit de L'Homme (which I LOVED). Sorry Paco but this doesn't do it for me...
La mejor fragancia para caballero, aunque dulce tiene un aroma único, que deberia estar en tu lista de perfumes
This is the first men parfume that I actually want for myself.Usually can`t stand men notes in parfume or men parfums on me,but this one is different.I think it`s more unisex type than for men. It`s just too sweetness in it.Perfect for winter,it`s enough heavy.
This is my current fav and surely future hall of famer.I have got most complements with this one. Chicks love it, 1 million is a perfect club scent. Drydown does fell little feminine but projection and lasting power is ++ for me.
Scent score 9/10.
I wanted to buy it but I thought that if every man is wearing it then why not buy something alse!!
Oh and smells like Bubble Gum!
Sorry you guys, but so many men weart this, that is too much!
Every second man smels like 1 Million, why?
For me it is not special at all, to comercial and cheep.
In my opinion man have to smell masculine and unique.
And THIS is not it!
I work in parfume store and once 4 guys came together and they all bought 1 Milllion, guys come onnnn you will all smell the same?????
That is just ofofof:(
this one has one of the best top notes of any cologne.
just excellent. it starts like really strong (dark)orange with vanilla ice cream. I flattens out a bit after 20-30 minutes, but smells great all day long.
My mouth dropped when I smelled it. It was a must have! Women of all ages complement me on this one. Its easy to understand and resonates in the nostrils of passer by’s as a ohhhhhhhhhhhh… what’s that? Fellas, do yourself a favor and buy it. Do yourself another favor though and limit it to no more than 2 sprays.

This one is already a classic. Monster sillage and longevity in a very unique fragrance. Masterpiece.
There isn't one day that goes by that I don't get complimented with this fragrance.
This perfume, has this touch, the sweety smell, not like a manly perfume, but more like a passionated perfume. I bought it recently, at first i liked it, then i was thinking it was too feminine, but i realised that was the touch i was looking for. It has this strong touch of cinamon and roses, then come the fruity, leathery touch. I love this perfume, i would`nt recomind it to any macho, but most of the girl who smelled it on me liked it. Great perfume by Paco Rabane
Absolutely love 1 Million!
This is a very great smelling perfume, and one of my favorites.
It is warm, it is spicy in a very good way, it is sweet in a very appropriate way. It gives me a luxurious feeling.
No wonder if some people turn around whenever you passed them by.
The bottle itself is unique.
9 out of 10 for this one!
Agree with the one below me. Smells nice in the store, but seriously. That's the ugliest bottle i've seen... ever.
Really loved this fragrance when I sampled it in the store, but the packaging just ruins it. Bling bling gone way wrong... Hilarious even!
The fragrance itself reminded me of Pi by Givency, so I'll just go for that one if I wanna get into this mood. Pi is a much better (richer ever) fragrance though, so no big loss on 1 million.
I don't know about the juice, but the botlle is the EPITOME of bad taste and bling ... like a gold tooth or something ... absolutely horrible!
You either love the unique smell of 1 Million, or you hate it.
But even the haters can't deny, the projection and lasting power of 1M is incredible. In my opinion, an instant classic that we'll be talking about for years to come. Powerful and unique. You can hate it all you want, but it ain't going away.
Unfortunately I had this on today. Top notes were extremely ??thick?; the smell I had was sickly sweet to the point I had to go and wash off what I had on my wrist after half an hour; which took 10 minutes in itself.
The staying power of this is insane (for better or worse) even if you do try scrubbing it off with soap - read into that what you will.
Did nothing for me; makes me think of Calvin Klein's Euphoria for Women but far more overpowering and fruity but no doubt that will appeal to some.
the only note i get out of this is dubble bubble :S the gum is great but do you really wanna smell like it? I hate to be negative but this is so gross. It gives you the same kind of sick feeling you get when you smell red cough medicine right when your about to take it. very synthetic.
Just got this today only because I found a great deal on its gift set. £23 for 50 ml Eau de Toilette and 100ml shower gel.
I find the sweetness a bit too cloying. Then again, if you want to smell rich this should do it. This perfume is definitely for those who are leaning towards sweet, fresh and less musky.
7/10
I have to admit that this is a biased review in that I absolutely hate the bottle. To me it is the epitome of gaudy, but I do understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Plenty reviewers seem to love it and good on ya!
Having only tried this once I have found that the top is the best part for me: a blast of blood orange and citrus that I found myself loving despite my desire to hate this fragrance. In the middle and base (which take a while to arrive as many others have noted) it almost seemed a bit too jumbled or somehow confused. My admittedly untrained nose could not really discern one particular accord from another.
In the end, I cannot say that I like or dislike this fragrance. To me it is very unique and the sillage and longevity border on the ridiculous. I will have to revisit this one in the future.
This cologne with 3 sprays 3"inches away from the skin will last more than 24 hours.
I love this fragrance simply because many people would call it feminine... I like breaking the barriers that society forces us to live within.. And women love it too.. You just need confidence to pull this one off..
I buy, i wear and i love it. very good sillage and very long lasting, great perfume for me
poison to some extent i do agree with u but u know frag called chariol perfume for men eau de toillette it produced good quality smelling bottle which by accident smells exactly like one million and some ppl prefer it to one million >>> i think there is an other frag which is also similar but to me i think exceede both ... it is GOLD O GOLD .
We should give some applause to Paco Rabbane for creating such a successful and an intriguing perfume with a very pragmatic bottle.
In fact the 1 million bottle and fragrance contain the essence of the world we live in. And this essence is the most common masculine scent, the most common desire of humans to become rich and to be anonymous.
In Bucharest everywhere you go, in clubs, malls, buses and even in the market every man smells like 1 million.
I am not a fan of Paco Rabanne’s fragrances at all, but the truth must be told. 1 million is one of the most successful fragrances on the market. Best seller in Romania from all the masculine scents.
Personally I would never wear it cause I prefer old school perfumes, and 1 million began to smell so common. Imagine, in my office where there are 5 men, 3 of them own a bottle of “golden” 1 million and of course from Armani Code, another scent that I used to like until the subways and the streets being invaded by it.
Once again, congratulations Paco Rabbane for winning the jack pot with 1 million!
Tested today. VERY strong opening headed by a potent blast of grapefruit and blood orange, both surrounded by a shy minty tone that gives freshness to the initial squirt. To my surprise, the fresh top notes last a long time (40 minutes), then comes the sweet avalanche. This avalanche consists in a sharp mixture of cinnamon and patchouli, both joining the omnipresent grapefruit note, giving a very sweet and warm (and very strong) smell that capture you for hours. In this status, the woody notes (in my opinion, just cedar) shows and gives serenity to the sweet chaos, preventing it to fall in the cloying territory. After a lot of time waiting for the drydown, when it finally comes, it consists in a creamy base of amber, some " spicy vanillic" tinge and more woods (like the end notes of Black XS, but without the strawberry-woody smell). This final stage reminds me a lot of the middle notes of "S" by Shakira (yeah, the feminine juice), but this scenario is very pleasant, inoffensive and projects quite well.
BTW, the "rose note" and "the leather note" are inexistent to my nose or very VERY toned down (or maybe, both notes were muted by the sweet avalanche)
Very good winter fragrance, but use it with discretion (3 sprays max), 'cos this potion projects like a thousand hells! (perfect for clubbing).
8/10
My husband is wearing it and he loves this perfume : sensual, powerful, masculine and soft. Very good lasting. A total success.
I have the women version Lady Million and it doesn't come up to 1Million.
This is a fabulous fragrance. It is difficult to acquire in America which (if you have it) makes you very unique. Very few other men will be wearing this in America. Besides unique, it lasts a long time and also projects. I get 8 hours + every time I wear this one. Also people notice it because it projects. The scent itself is very pleasant. It is all natural except for the leather. It is very sweet, spicy (love the cinnamon), and floral (love the rose). I pick up a ton of grapefruit at the top of this fragrance. Most likely you will love or hate the fragrance based on the grapefruit, because it is (at least for me) the main note in the top, and heart of the fragrance. The best male scent!!!
I have nothing to say, accept, THE best male scent EVER.
My boyfriend has got to smell like that and I'll take providences.
Projection and sillage are GREAT but this doesn't really say sexy. You'll get the rose note and a lot of it. It's more of an interesting, intriguing scent that's meant to be worn when going out with friends and not on a date. Expect to be asked what your wearing out of mere curiosity, don't expect a follow up compliment.
Hello everyone, I've read all the reviews of 1 Million, a lot of you guys said it's so sweet at the opening, and both the longevity and sillage are great. And as I read lots of great things about it, so I bought a 100ml one online for myself, even though it's a men's perfume. But turn out it's just not like that on me, I don't know why. All I can get is a woody and musky scent, maybe some vanilla at last. Is it has anything to do with I got the EDT instead of EDP? Please help me out, I'm kinda depress now... Thanks. =)
Last year when i first saw the ad and the bottle i thought what an ugly bottle hillbilly style but one day a girlfriend of mine asked me have you tried 1 Million i said no, after that i tried it, gave me a headache for the first time then i gave it a try one more time and now i have it and try to wear it everyday, it's very unique, very different and i beleive it's not the perfume of the average guy, i like it and i think i will continue using this for a while!!
I personally love the fragrance. I had a chance to smell it on my work collegaue as well as my husband and in both cases - I was mesmerised!!!
It is absolutely gorgeous - perfect for work and great for an evening for two.
Moderately sweet, with a hint of sexy spicyness. Apart from Au Masculine Lempicka, One Million makes a statement, it is truly seductive and I love to sniff it from the beginning to the very dry down.
It makes me want to taste my husband's skin all night long :-)
Gentlemen, that fragrance really works on us, Ladies. It has great sillage and lasting power.
A true masterpiece!
Ohhh, I wish I could say the same about Lady Million by Pacco Rabanne :-(
This is just vulgar. How can you name a perfume like that? For pretenders and poseurs only.
By the way: How come that every time someone writes a critical comment on Paco Rabanne's fragrances, it gets deleted? Possibly Paco Rabanne pays people for doing that. May I suggest to invest the money into the development of better fragrances instead?
love this frag!!
all i can say is this frag smells FLIRTY...
very long lasting, and love the bubblegum vibe from it.
definitely night out scent.
9.5/10
Hmmmmm 1 million.... Well women can wear this easily without giving it a second thought thats for sure. This is the new LeMale for bars/clubbing.. & for that reason I really do not like it like I once did. This frag is rather a nice consumption of notes listed above, sweet, daring, long lasting, leaves a trail, but the problem that I have with 1 million, well it really is not with the cologne, but it is with everyone who wears it.
The clubs & bars are cluttered with this stuff along side LeMale & A men! For this reason I can not own this fragrance because once everyone starts to wear a fragrance & I smell it constantly I get turned off by it. I want to smell UNIQUE & NOT like every one else.
Feminine? Maybe
Long lasting? Forever!
Sillage? Oh, yeah!
This one just lingers on and on. I love it.
10/10
My friend wears this and it smells nice on her. Like Liat says, the cinnamon is easily detected (the rose as well.)Though I too think it should be unisex, I think it is more of a femme fragrance than anything else.
Oh my god, it's not a secret that I love it when guys puts perfume on.
But NEVER have I been so excited about a male perfume!
It is so yummy and sweet but masculine.
I enjoy every time a guy walks past me, wearing this perfume!
On my skin:
Top: Blood orange (you will have to find and EAT it to understand the scent), with a hint of caramel-like scent plus leather-synthetic scent. Very powerful, it is so strong, that my whole room was polluted with it for almost 30 minutes on 3 triggers. I get this scent for almost 6-8 hours. Not many changes on the top for my skin =). The mixture of it makes it appealing to me.
Middle: the scent calms down after 6-8 hours on me. And all I get is some sort of vanilla-leathery scent...which is not appealing to me...
Base: Vanilla like scent after middle notes 3-4 hours mark. Kind of boring, but good for sex for sure =).
Complements every time I use it (65% likes, 35% hate), many say it is funky and masculine at the same time. But this is an attention grabber for sure.
This is something for special occasions or chilling out with friends. This is a NIGHT-OUT fragrance. NEVER use it in the day, it will 'melt' and it gets very synthetic under the heat that it smells like plastic + sugar. This can be used in wedding occasions, dinners, clubbing, but not for daily and work for sure.
This is a TRY. People who love sweet scents will most probably enjoy this. This is an arsenal for night-outs to cut through smoke.
The country I am in has no 4 seasons, so it is either hot or cold weather. This works very well at cold-nights. and 3 on each pulse points for cold.
My rating (base on 5 stars)
Scent: 3 (unique for sure, but some hint of the scent is something common).
Sillage: 5 (this is a true sillage, when you are with people, people will scent this).
Time length: 5 (24 hours..... this is nuts, its like Angel Men or that Pure Malt gourmand kings).
Occasion: 1 (night outs for sure, this monkey sucks in 'when' usage).
Overall base on mathematics: 3.5/5
A popular scent in Europe, but a unique one in Asia, complements on the board, this is my swiss army knife for night outs =)
Its opening notes are very strong and could give you a headache, just then it could pass as a female frag but as it dries down it turns all sexy. Very classy, masculine and sweet. The projection is great really announcing "Hey! Look who is in the building". Longevity on my skin is excellent so may not be sprayed on too heavily. Good frag! 8/10
Hubby bought this one and I absoulutely love it on him mind you I wont let him wear it out seriously I think it would attract all the young ladies.. Did I mention young I did I did I think this one is for the younger men, Hubby and I are 22 so I think its perfect for that age once you start hitting around 45 I think thats pushing it with wearing this perfume.. All in all delightful smell
Tried a sample and it was awful, an axe clone that made me feel sick. Luckily the lasting power was mediocre. Also, the bottle- not for a straight male. I hated having this on!
I have a feeling more and more guys are using this one...and I find it a bit disturbing, the cinnamon and blood orange smell somewhat like christmas cookies to me and mint+patchouli+amber gives an intoxicating feeling, the bottom line is that I see this beeing worn by girls in sexy santa suits this year, not by hot guys unfortunately...Still it's better than Lady Million, if I had to chose I would wear the men version
Looks like you will be sexually molested if you wear this one guys (see below)
I don't know how men feel about this cologne, but from a womans standpoint it it incredible. My sister bought it for her son, and she went nuts for it. My sister in law said she would jump on any man who was wearing it, and then I smelled it, and I had the same reaction. Since then I have heard the same reviews from women. So as far as I am concerned, even if men are not crazy about it, women love it on men, so guys I think you should wear it.
Yep I have been waiting this cologne for 4 days in a row at first I thought I had gotten a fake bottle or something like that but I was wrong I bought 100ml here in my country for $99 but this thing is AWESOME!!! , I love it and I want to make this my Signature Scent, this cologne is complex my girlfriend love it that much that she request me to spray this cologne on her she is wearing it too!! lol! I wear it to work everyday I do not care if this cologne is not for everyday use I dont give a care I love it and my females co workers are dying to get a whiff
Candy sweet like smell also from me and some tobacco with mint, strong vanilla reminds me of some women perfumes and that is why I hate this scent. The drydown is what to say beside amazing, wooow no words can describe it the feeling. This is some strong stuff be gentle with it.
Smell: 8
Sillage:8
Longevity:10 the best part
Absolute genius in a bottle. The marketing, whilst manipulative, is also superb. Even at a time of economic uncertainty, there is no lack of wannabe millionaires! Gold bullion is still soaring in value, and what shape is the bottle?!
Anyway, it would all be for nothing if the fragrance was bad, but they've got that right too. I wouldn't say that it smells 'expensive' exactly, but it is suitably complex. Out of the gate we open with a burst of...Hubba Bubba Outrageous Original. Yes, the blood orange, grapefruit, mint and cinnamon combo is juicy and sweet like bubblegum. Tasty!
With time, this sweetness mellows and the scent becomes more masculine and conventional. It keeps evolving all day long which is what I really love about it. The patchouli and amber into leather base reminded me of an updated Armani Code Men.
Somebody on Fragrantica said that this is a fragrance for 'collar poppers' and clubbing. Damn right! I have no problem with confident people having a good time and this is their fragrance!
Guys I bought a bottle from a friend of mine , it smells good and last a long time but I do not know if it is fake or original I saw online colognes from china that look just like the original mine had a clear sticker covering the front of the bottle that says retirer le film , peel off the film , retirar el film DOES THE ORIGINAL ONE HAS THIS STICKER ????
This is insanely sweet! and not in a good way!
This smells almost like Le Male but with a cherry boozy touch. Think burberry london but with le male thrown in, this is what you get.
Good for winter and fall, but this is strongly for lovers with a tooth for a sweet fragrance!
I love fragrances and I love writing about them. I used to love "Paco" by Rabanne when I was a student, so I was looking forward to this release.
I am disappointed. To me this is a very unharmonic fragrance or at least on my skin it develops that way.
Despite the interesting list of ingredients and that fabulous marketing and packaging, this is not nice on me: all I get is a "toffee apple gone foul". Yuk!
(And I really wanted this to be nice on me and I love the advertising.)
Comme de Garcons "8 88" is the better golden scent!!
Like a masculine potpourri fragrance for men. Rich... heavy, but in due time, it calms enough to enjoy. Sensual and spicy. 1 Million says, "Turn around and acknowledge who owns the scent that left you curious." This is the, "Come here, although you have someplace to be" fragrance. It calls, without you having to. If you prefer the same composition, but less intense... experience The Secret by Antonio Banderas. While 1 Million Speaks, Secret whispers.
Thanks FRAGRANTICA for the great opportunity, prizes and gifts!
You know, I find myself beginning to get hurt feelings now and then when someone comments negatively about a scent that I like. But I always remind myself that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that we are all different.....what one person loves, another may loathe! So I realize that there is no reason to be offended. "Ash" did not say anything insulting after-all....I have seen reviews for some fragrances that say things like "Only an idiot would like this scent." Comments like that are uncalled for and should be removed. But simply saying you don't like a scent, that you find it boring and disappointing, is no reason to strike out the way that you, "Sunnysniffs" did. We are all here because we love scent.....so how about the two of you just agree to disagree about this particular one, and then let it go? :)
There is no reason to be offended because someone gives a perfume negative critique. It is not a sweetheart, best friend, mother, father, brother or sister who is criticized. It is a PERFUME.
wow... it'd only been 5 min that i'd purchased this one and i am straight away writing a review.. undoubtedly 1 million is so very much hyped fragrance, but it is unique and subtle.. initial notes are not very impressive ones... but after 5 min the fragrance begins to take shape... and thats when you notice the freshness and aroma of it. A must buy for collectors and party animals. Good for winters and nightwear.
Very, very weird: the ingredients are so well blended, I cannot recognize any of them. Can`t smell the citrusy notes, the rose, the mint, the patchouli, even the cinnamon (which I love!). All I can say, it`s a very lovely frag -- both sweet and refreshing. With great sillage. Very sexy. I love it on my husband, but I`ve also noticed that it works with my body chemistry very well :-).
Notes / scent: 4
Longevity / sillage: 4.5
Overall / subjective feelings: 4
Description: unusual combination of various notes resulting in a unique scent
Short opinion: Unique, unusual scent. I like it, but I am not enchanted it.
This is a mature fragrance this would work well for someone between the ages of 30-50 very sweet and moderate projection. This fragrance will last about 8-10 hours depending on what your doing that day and your body size i am a large man and i find sometimes that I burn up fragrance quite fast at times. This fragrance is perfect for a date or a night out on the town to say the least I like it.
8.5/10
Although this scent is full of devil projection but if you want to make it more lethal to dominate every one in the club or party, then mix wear it with Issey Miyake, side by side, i mean like 2 puffs issey on chest and 3 puffs 1 Million at neck, back neck and shoulders respectively(but carefully donot puff on each other) For me this experiment is working like crazy !!
Btw the same i've tried with Givenchy play intense also..To good!
This fragrance made me smile. I adore it! When I think of it I imagine golden boy Bon Jovi and the video of his song You Want to Make a Memory. This cologne makes a very good memory.
One Million is not your usual watermelon-citrus-sandalwood scent. It's for someone who's friendly, playful and - despite the name - modest. I've been sniffing it for two years on my workplace and still: No signs of growing bored with it.
I love the opening in this one, orange orange orange, can anyone say orange.
Pleasant dry down, doesn't last long enough for me.
I like it!
1 Million smells great and it is perfect for those people that like sweet fragrances.
For me it smells like grape's chewing gum.
1 Million is so strong and have a great sillage, so I recommend to use only in the winter or when you want to call attention, as in a nightclub.
My final score: 9.0/10 due to not be more versatile.
My whole bedroom reeks of this perfume, since I had someone stay over last night. At first I liked it, then it started to smell like medicine, the next day I smelled his neck and it was too over powering, but after he took a shower the subtle smell was quite nice. Would not wear it in hot, humid days, or when u know ur going to be sweating, as this is the time it starts to smell yucky!
this is one of the sexiest male fragrances out there !
its heavenly , amazing , gorgoeus , long lasting and utterly wonderfull.
this is my guilty pleasure :D
Well i see a lot of Different comments about it! I like it cus i wear it in Raves, where i party hard and this one stays with me frm 10pm to 7 am.It is very sweet and spicy with some thing heart touchy in it.. Nice projection and appealing babes...SO I PASSED THIS ONE AFTER THE FIRST RAVE ! for me it worksn 98%
this one is unique..smellin lovely, and sweet huny girls iked it..not 4 a rockn roll people ;)
had try it tonight, thats on my second test,,
not bad,but to my nose this not really different with aigner |man|2,especially on mid-note (maybe from cinnamon with little hints of sweetness n patchouli).
1 million is more smooth, fresh, little sweet, n of course more pricey (consider the price) than |man|2 that slighty harsh, "grey", but more cheap,
somebody who like it,should try man |2|,
thats more "best value" than this.
1 Million can be great or awful depending on how and when you apply it. A little goes a long way. Great for the club or a cool evening date. Too much in the warmth of daytime can be ridiculous. I don't get any medicinal notes. If you are a fan of Ultraviolet, Ultrared, or Black XS, you need this!
It is too strange fragrance, sweet and spicy at the same time, dry aroma yet warm. I think if overdosage can smell like cough medicine. It's too sweet without cloying, but it can only be recommended for winter as its smell is dizzying at any other time. I think their age range should be from age 21, it is too heavy to be used by teens.
Not suitable for office in my opinion. In the romantic area is not safe, because while some women love the smell, others hate saying that "smells like medicine."
My colleague wear this and at that time, I dont really like it because I thought he's wearing attar oil. Then on
June 24, he wore it after lunch hour. Since I dont smell it in the morning on him, so I think it was someone else who sprayed their perfumes.
It smell like Dior Addict, someone use sparingly. When I asked who wear Dior Addict, nobody admit. Then few days later I smell the same perfume again and that was him... I asked him what kinda perfume he wear?? And he replies Paco Rabanne Million. OMG...he's almost 50 wear this?? doesn't suit him...better on his son I think...
Conclusion, a good men fragrance with women side (It smell like Dior Addict for God sake), and depend on your age and style (you have to be in great suit to fit this perfume)... adios...
Renews with humour the myth of the seducer and
embodies it in his new Eau de Toilette: ONE MILLION.
A gold ingot bottle, the object of all desires, shelters a
daring perfume. The fragrance is fresh and sparkling
with a note of grapefruit, mint and blood orange,
found on a heart of rose absolute and cinnamon. The
base note glorifies leather, white wood, amber and
patchouli. A striking contrast, mixing sophisticated
sensuality and asserted virility.
they have it in a womans fragrance, its called lady million, i dont know nothing about it though
i really like this frag, its something mainstream but sometimes you need it
If only they had 1million! in a women's version, and to be honest I would wear this even though it's male fragrance, it smells soo good and sweet, just how I like it!
It would be hard to deny this fragrance's extremely synthetic construction, but the smell is extremely pleasant. It's almost smells like an old fashioned candy store.
I wouldn't suggest this to anyone over 30 unless of course you want to get hit on by 16 year old girls and then have the police chase after you. = )
Blindly pretentious is the first tought in mind, i agree is not a bad smell but i hate the ad, concept and the idea in general. Nothing i could enjoy about this, the smell is very saturated, abrassive and heavy. Outstanding longevity and sillage, thats only in rescue. go away 1 million this is totally an artificial fragance without soul!
How come that every time someone writes a critical comment on Paco Rabanne's fragrances, it gets deleted? Does Paco Rabanne pay people for doing that?!? May I suggest to invest the money into the development of better fragrances instead?
i love sweet fragrances..but i read some good reviews some people said its bad cause its very sweet..i hate blind buys..its very expensive..i can find cheapest one for like 68 dollars site,,...i keep thinking about buyin this one but its hard for me to spend alot of money that i never going to like...and i wish they sell sample of this ...
I can't believe the gushing, over the top reviews for this scent. It's YUCKY and DISGUSTING!!! The first time I smelled it on a friend of mine I couldn't believe it was actually a man's scent and not a woman's perfume. It reminds me very much of Diesel Plus Plus. It's so sweet, sickly, cloying and smells very cheap. It's very strange and un-masculine. I much prefer lighter, fresher, cleaner and more masculine scents on men.
I can only think that 1 Million's apparent popularity is due to a very successful and clever advertising campaign because for the life of me I just can't understand why any guy with a good sense of smell and an understanding of what's sexy and appealing would want to reek of this. It's just goddamn awful! Also, not only does it stink but the bottle is very tacky and pretentious looking as well so it has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I totally agree with one of the reviewers here who said that it's for poseurs. How right!!
1 Million is most definitely NOT sexy and I'd run a mile from a guy who wears this scent, no matter how attractive I may find him otherwise. If I had to give it marks out of 10 it would barely manage a 1.
Oh Gosh....so we broke up with that guy. But this smell is so unforgetable and popular, that I can smell it on other guys just walking down the street, in cafes, restaurants, even McDonald's-everywhere!routinely!And each time, like an animal reacts on smell, I feel this scent and remember him.....and how I coulnd't stand.......ooohhhh
But in spite of its popularity, for me it's still HIS TOTALLY SEXY scent.
Hi.
Very french style.this is special, sweet and spicy.it makes your feel really masculine and stylish then is pefect for a real gentleman!
this fragrances makes me feel warm cold winter nights too.
I recommend it for every one who wants to be seductive in a classic way!
long lasting and attract a lot of woman.
The bottle also fits to the scent.that is really cute.
8/10
This perfume is so unique, so luxurious, so everything. One of my favorites perfumes ever.
I adore this cologne! Wish there was 1 MILLION perfume for women without the musculine scent. I am sure that some women wear this cologne. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
I am a 58 years young man, and the 1 millon is one of the best in 50 years. I have seen quite a few.Women love it. My wife of 35 years just can get enouch of me being around.
Thanks Paco Rabanne.
After 3 months using this, I still feel dizzy when first applying!
THIS IS OVERSWEET to me!
But I still have to agree that this fragrance is high quality! Incredible sillage and longevity (lasts at least 5 hours on me). Stunning bottle!...And it became so popular in my country now, many guys love it.
The only reason I don't like this, is because I'm not a fan of sweet scents, I love cool and fresh scents. So if you're intersted in sweetness, this could be your best fragrance ever!
i purchased this awesome perfume from a dealer friend, though i actually had seen the advert in a magazine, i craved for it by it look alone, the branding, the name suerlly matches with its smell,
Well done Paco rabbanne! its really worth a million dollar!!
When I first smelled it I didn't know whether it was a men's fragrance or a perfume for women because on the bottle it didn't say that...so I thought this would be a great unisex perfume (although I pretty much expected it to be designed for men, it has something masculine somewhere in its notes). It is indeed very strong and persistent even after I shower I can still feel the smell of it.All in all it's a good perfume :)
The best perfume ever .. The other perfumes comparing to this one sucks.. The one and only 1 million:PPP
Oh my God! When I smell it on a boy,I couldn't stand! I was just out of control! It's great for young man and it's TOTALLY SEXY!
10 hours after I still can smell it on my jacket. I just don't know what to do....
It's great but not in a first few minutes - it's just too sweet. Then, awesome!
One of the best ever!
The fragrance is very great, some of my friends say it smells like unisex parfum, but the women really love it, and so do I =D
This scent reminds me initially of Original Santal by Creed. It has that same sweetness, but I like the tonka bean and smoothness of the vanilla is this scent. I like this scent but I do not know if I love it enough. It is defiantly a good scent, with alot of nice woody spice notes. I give it 7/10 overall.
everybody smells like this...it's too popular for me.i don't want to wear a perfume that everyone know!
Released bombastically towards the younger crowd (with a Hollywoodlike adcampaign supported with music from The Chemical Brothers) as the nighttime fragrance you have to get. Sillage and longevity remind me of Le Male but this one is slightly different. It's also aimed at the metrosexual man but I don't find it as good as Le Male. The bottle looks like a gold bar but it's so tacky. The juice itself neither reminds me of gold but more of copper money (that's because of the combination of blood orange, leather and patchouli) laying in very sweet (amber!) rose water. I consider this fragrance feminine, unisex at best. Use this during a night out when you want to capture everyone's attention.
6/10
his fragrance is great...I had a sample this morning and I can't stop smelling it. It is fresh but persistent, very masculine. a fragrance for monarchs
This smells fantastic on my boyfriend & im debating whether to buy him a bottle. The thing that puts me off is the oh so tacky bottle it comes in. But...we dont see the bottle as they remain in our wardrobes.
Anyhow, this fragrance settles down on my BFs skin into a creamy scent, it makes me want to snuggle in closer to smell him. The cinnamon was so inviting & certainly made a positive impact upon me.
My favourite scent on him is Diesel zero plus & if i recall rightly that also has cinnamon.
It works for me, it makes me want to eat him.
hypnotizing , this is undeniably well done . from the magnificent theme to the gold bar to the drop dead hypnotizing scent !!
well done paco rabanne , very very well done paco rabbane , they raised the bar really high on this one !
i hope they dont launch a silly sport ersion or intense version or a summer version either , this is excellent and they must keep it up to continously have my respect :)
this is the most sweetest/feminine cologne i've ever smelled idk why its not unisex. i really like it but its just not what i expected with a name like 1 million and a gold bottle.
reminds me of gaultier 2 with fruit
My husband wears this now! finally picked it up for him yesterday, and he just adores it! Me too, I would wear this if he didn't! it is amazing, and it kinda reminds me of Pi by Givenchy. Very warm and subtle, a bit sweet, yet still masculine. This scent could be worn by a woman.
Another winner by Paco. Great smell, it does have a generic feel to it, but who cares? The juice has great quality, sillage and I feel so good wearing it. I have to admit that I would never have bought it for the first notes, because they are kinda cloying. The drydown, though, is perfect!
WaW, this is kind of fragrance which make people have Differing opinions about it
some like the other dislike , same as review. this is mystery of Success.
i test it yesterday and i found it very nice and strange but still cool.
I bought it yesterday, cause I can't wait to hold the bottle in my hand! But I was totally disappointed 'bout the scent! It's too much sweet, and it makes me feel dizzy!
When my mom smelt it on me, she thought it was her Naomi Campell Mystery...
Waste of money, just because I love the bottle and its commercial :(
Finally i bought this one last week..It's gonna be my top 5 fragrance..Great longevity & excellent sillage... Highly Recommended...9,5/10
I looked the fragrance up when trying to decide what to get my hubby for Vals day. Its quite expensive here in Nigeria but i tell you its worth every cent.
My hubby looved it to death and it was a huge turn-on for me. It speaks class and its not too strong.
Paco Rabanne you rock!!! I love the bottle too
This counterfeit gold bar (like a cheap toy) is getting on my nerves by ostentatious caption “1 Million” and containing a damn sweet and honeyed liquid that not gonna get off my skin & my mind.
Probably it causes liver failure and diabetes.
I prefer not try this anymore.
I wonder why this entire crowd is crazy about it!
P.S.: Shiee Muslims use to apply such a floral scent to their holy Emam’s shrines! Believe me!
this is one of my favourite fragrances, although i actually dont like the first notes, they make me sick, give me nausea, after some time, when its evolving its smells absolutely amazing, sexy, elegant, fun, just amazing. i love how it smells on my clothes the day after :P
AWESOME...Just Pick it...Everything just soo perfent from Bottle to Fragrance to Sillage n Longitivty...its a perfect Perfume for a perfect evening...
Tacky bottle and very generic -kinda like joop homme mixed with your dads old Tabac - probably good for younger guys . theres nothing new in this scent you have smelt it before ....
a no no from me
Hi there people, I am from the land of the free, India ...and all I gotta say here is Paco's line up is simply awesome.... I use the BlackXS and from that time its been one irrestible frangrance... its a lil fruity but thats what teases the senses... the 1 Mill on the other hand is equally wicked and at times i steal a few sprays from my dad who has a bottle.... I guess m gonna buy one for myself soon...go for it people... you sure wld get complimented.
you can't go wrong with this when you go clubbin or on a date, you get complimentes left and right,i own close to 10 fragrancces but not one comes close to this ome....it's A MUST HAVE!!!
every things of 1 Million is attractive:
bottle , TV commercial ,and scent
bar of gold ,Mat Gordon , sweet warm sexy
but Unfortunately uninvented 1 million replaced original version at least in middle east, because Emirates start to manufactures this cologne,it has low quality, very cheap(about 18$).
1 million is my first Paco Rabanne fragrance I owned. IMHO, grapefruit and mint punches my nose instantly and this is a great top notes formulation. The base notes are very powerful too. I think amber contributes to a sweetness in this fragrance.
Sillage is magnificent on my skin and longevity is unbelievably long. It stays on me from morning to evening with consistent sillage *.* I can only say 1 million is my most favourite juice to date. It really deserves 2008 FiFi award, especially its uniquely designed bottle.
All in all. 10/10 for me. I would recommend to anyone and also to warn not to overspray this as it is a very intense fragrance. Thank you for reading :)
I smelled it, and smelled it until I was blue in the face.
The drydown is just dumb. It's sweet, but that's all I get. Sweet and??? nothing.
i finally got my hands on this, just purchased it for 50$...ive only heard good stuff about it so ill test is out and see if ill get any compliments for it, ill keep yall posted
Amazing, buy it. Thats all ill say
im perfume victim and i think this one its the best for the last 2 years perfume.so unigue so sexy so longgggggggggggggggggg my wife never stop smel it,go for it its great
I love 1 Million...it lasts long, its scent is not irritating/overpowering, and the sweetness energizes me on a busy day...works for me!
A classic oriental/floral/spicy fragrance with woody/leathery drydown.
Thre is no exageration in saying that it is yet the best perfume of the year 2008.
Yeah! i admit that it has got some feminity touch but still it has got an adequate masculinity to be worn by men.
Love this perfume though it is an expensive but surely a worth purchase.
Excellent bottle and packaging. Great name "1 MILLION" truly compliments the fragrance.
It has got excellent sillage and incredible longevity.
I would rate it "9 out of 10"
I have to disagree with you all. My colleague goes to the gym every lunchtime and comes back reeking of this shit. Our boss actually had to ask him to leave the office last week becuase of the amount of complaints he received, he was alos nearly arrested on his way home for polluting the environment. He has now changed to a much more O-Zone friendly scent...Brut. Oh and he's also a complet bufty.
I smell luxurious rose in this potion. good scent but maybe some will say that this is less masculine.
i'm from Africa Nigeria precisely i am a sucker for colognes and i never feel so sweet aroma with any i have used in the past, the smell of 1million is so craving for me last and smells even after wards...although is very expensive down here, got it for 30 thousand naira and it worth the value of the money to me. nice development by Paco Rabanne
I'm craving for this perfume the moment I saw it development news last year. Firstly after I spray the juice I scent a sweet smell. But not too sweet, I can say it's a tangy sweet. Moving on we come to a more fresh leathery scent. At the end there is this musky floral smell. I'm impressed from the top to the middle but then I stuck to the bottom. The bottom smell like Romance by Enchanteur. But it still a great perfume. Longevity on me is more than 9 hours.
Honestly this is my favourite scent for 2009 i am 18 and love young fresh smells and this hits the nail right on the head :-)
great job Paco
Agradable perfume, aroma super especiado, innovador, una gran creación.
An extra ordinary perfume with surprise scent! The bottle alone is very eye-catching and it simbolized luxury!
The scent is superb and rich! The first note is very fresh and clear musky scent! A few minutes later, a calm patchouli scent appear and dry down is warm amber scent. Lasting power is really superb, more than 6 hours on me, super value for a price of EDT, you can get so long lasting scent! Suitable for formal dinner or nite time wear!
Give it a try, it is really a fantastic perfume for every man! 7.5/10
both are really good , its the same i think but honestly 1 million has excellent longetivity and magnificent sillage , this in imo is pure gold , even though i hated it to the maximum at first yet i grew on it !
OMG ! i am truely impressed with paco on this one , i wrote my review before while sniffing my hand with this perfume , then i went to sleep and 10 hours later i could still smell this but very fade !!! yet its still there meaning that its very very good quality and definetly worth the price :)
ok paco rabbanne definetly deserve the praise for this one ! its very sexy and unique (but not original ) , fruity , sweet , kind of sour but just a tiny itsy bitsy little bit !!!! very attractive and will definetly cause ppl to turn around to look at the guy wearing this , in my opinion i think that this is very masculine but to perfumers and ppl who know a variety of colonges know how male scents could be and compare it with that so might conclude that its perhaps a little feminine . definatly has light resemblence to gaultier 2 but i hate gaultier 2 and i really like this one even though i despised its guts at first ! , its a good pick , mainlny for 20s-30s not more . i smelled this on a guy passing by in the airport and gotta say it is veeeerrrrry intriguing , i twisted my head to look at the dude wearing this , and he looks like a guy 22yrs old wearing a young suit probably waiting for soemone talking on the phone and it kinda matched with the whole situation and the charisma !
anyway this is really good , not gold but good enough to be luxorious :)
d bottle is great... i love gold !!! d smell is nice too...but,it is so hard to get in my country..pheww....thanx God i have it today...
Alright, so when i first smelt it, i thought it was a ladies fragrance (as others mentioned here) but the lady in the store told me it's for men. That didn't change my mind about planning to get this for myself... it's SO sexy and unique.
I heard that there are quite a few ladies out there who wear men's colognes! That has nothing to do with a woman's sexual orientation. I think it's fine, because anyway each body's chemistry will alter the scent in its own manner anyhow... providing the scent in question does not scream 'opposite sex', in which case it may collide with the body's natural scent... but in this case, i don't think there's much to worry about since this fragrance has feminine qualities to begin with!
All in all, i'd say it's more of a unisex type of a fragrance, because even though i can see women wear it, i still think it would compliment men just as much.
I think i am in love..i tried it today, its so good..so sweet and sexy..I WANT it for myself,i am so gonna buy it.Its juicy and after a while gets more spicy.Like putting some fruits to gaultier2,can be worn by women with no problem!
Yeah I don't like this one. I went to buy a toothbrush at Shoppers' Drug Mart... fragrance lady really wanted me to try it... just buying a toothbrush lady...
anyways I tried...
Yeah there's nothing special about it. It's very young though. But I find the name pretentious. The marketing is pretentious too. I'm knocking on this one. Not for me. For collar poppers. Border line female.
I get excited when I smell it...it's very sexy, hot, and the best...I will buy a small perfume for myself..I can not describe how hot and masculine is it...I'l like paco rabanne make also 1 million for women...
Simply it is just what i was expecting from this perfume, full balance between a good style and a modern way to feel mode
1 million has feminine notes. so what ? it smells wonderful and yet is a male fragrance. maybe ladies love feminine scents on men better :)
The trouble with scents like this: they are overmarketed due to a (as it looks like) unlimited budget.
As a result of it, you can't get away from it in the European clubbing scene: it's everywhere. When you go out, the amount of people wearing this scent is unbelievable. After a while it's annoying. It becomes a totally generally smell, nothing special about it. Yep, it's sweet and synthetic. Not a bad scent, but only a very moderate one. It's difficult for me to call this a masculine scent.
Maybe Paco's money isn't going into the quality of the ingredients......
maybe the big advertisement campaign takes all of the millions........
this is extraordinary perfume of mysterious notes like you fill your pockets with money, design is absolutely fabulous
woooowww
very very good perfume
i love it
buy and enjoy from sweet scent
hummmm
So... this stuff supposed to smell expensive. But it does not. Supposed to be manly i guess. But it is not.
Synthetic smell (blahhh) and feminine.
May suit a young gay teenager but not a grown up male.
Sorry for being negative, just my point of view (or smell).
This the best men's fragrance for me! My boyfriend wears it, I love him in 1 million:)
hi every body. I just read your comments but mine is too much different. You know I saw the advertisment on TV and some one who I loved bought it for me at the same time she broke my heart so I've decided never use it so I didn't open the package yet.
A scent for the modern man. 1 Million gives you that luxurious touch and makes you feel wonderful about yourself. Has a feminine touch to it and that's the reason the ladies feel they can rock this masterpiece from PR. When i first had a whiff of this cologne, i had to say to my friend "you smell like a millionaire" and he just smiled. Some months later, he gave me 1/4 content of the fragrance. Behold it was 1 Million. I Love the Bottle.
Just the advert would stop me ever buying this. Talk about appealing to machismo in the most vile way. I tried it and it didn't impress me at all. Perfume companies should have better products than ones they have to sell to playboys or wanna be ones.
I bought this for my boyfriend and honestly find it irresistable! It is a very sexy scent, he loves it, I love it, everyones a winner :D
m..i thought i was the only one that wants this fragrance for myself, even thou is a man fragrance;))
i TOTALLY LOVE IT
VERY sweet and VERY FEMININE! Reminds me of a perfume my Aunty would wear when we would visit her on Christmas day as a kid, but somehow i think would be appropriate for the modern day metrosexual guy, something we could get away with :)
Amazing staying power and scent and high marks for originality for a "male cologne"
i like it, a definate special occasion night time fragrance
Even that men's fragrance I love it!
and i want to buy it for myself, the bottle is pretty...
Just got one for a priceless amount and i didnt mind it cause the sent is so wonderful, its really worth the name. Gotta Love it
Using the one million fragrance has brought a new meaning to smells....I have an instant addiction to it, got it as a birthday gift and wish my brithday lasts forever.
I was so excited when i heard it was sweet scent.
When i sampled it reminded me fruity smelling rubbers from my school years, also rubbery toys exist with similar smelling.
In the base somehow some notes remind me ysL body kouros as well.
Yeah it is realy strong.
I didn't smell any woody note in it, so how it has woody-spicy olfaction?
After washing my wrist it was smelling slitely better :)
Maybe teenagers/young crowd will like it.
my boyfriend bought this the other day and i notice each time he wears it. its alot more powerful that any of his others and is by far my best. its such a gorgeous smell, i could eat it.
mm, go boys, go buy it ! seriously
um.. first bottle is very attracted. next scent - Cinnamic & leathery . So strongly. but fresh-
Well, I have been waiting fot this perfume since it started to be sold here, in Brazil.
First of all, I was catch by its bottle. I like gold, and its bottle, which remindes a gold bar, is sparkling, unique and detaches itself in any collection.
Then, the most important part: the fragrance!
As a lover of oriental, woody, spicy fragrances, I could not be more in love with a fragrance of what I was for 1 Million.
The mix of rose, leather, cinnamon and amber are awesome! It's totally me!!!
In my opinion, it's a wonderful perfume for parties, nights in a dancefloor, and even for romantic moments like dinners or movies with the person who you love...
I don't agree that this perfume can be worn by women because it can be "described as unissex". It is a male scent!
The difference is that the modern market of perfumes is asking for perfumes like this one! In the whole world there are lots of women that love wear male fragrances. And now, the perfumers have discovered that there are lots of men that like some notes of women fragrances. That's why 1 Million and its precedent BlacK XS, have reached such a success among male customers, since they have been launched.
This perfume has a wonderful lasting, and its evolution on the skin is fantastic! I feel handsome, confident and sexy wearing 1 Million.
Pacco Rabanne is working good in modern male fragrances, first black XS and now 1 million...
at the first sniff it's just like too many colognes for men you've already tried.woody spicy, with the sharp notes of grapefruit and mint.
but after less than 10 minutes it becomes very mild, fruity and even creamy!it's like a floral fruity fragrance for women or at least a unisex perfume.
although here it's described as a modern fragrance that uses the air spray method,I believe the notes change during the time and in fact I don't mind smelling this kind of unisex cologne on a man as it's not sharp, but to be honest I don't go crazy for it neither.
it's a very successful fragrance in publications and the shape of bottle, but the whole cologne isn't that unique.
I receive a vial of this one so I have a chance to test it on my skin, it smell like paper, dry paper, so dry that it makes mt thirty and that's it, nothing else. Boring scent!
I'm so sorry!
I just don't agree if this fragrance classified as a Woody Spicy group!
This is not Spicy enough, queer as folk says...this is sweet!
Typical from Pacco, that makes perfume more adorable for Men!
Sweetness on the first spray makes me believe that this fragrance got a bit of Vanilla scent! I WRONG!
Its cinnamon combines with bloooody orange! Yummy, and the dry down....its Very Me!
I can tell, why Pacco named this fragrance 1 Million! Because it has many 'expensive' scent that burn us down to a High Class aroma!
Just like they did before on Black XS...simply for men who knows how to scent 'xpencif'
just wowo!!!!! this perfume is amazing !!! i cant believe its for men !!! im a girl and im craaazy about it !
this one smells gorgeous and looks like a million dollar as well, very not Paco Rabanne for me. I love it. One of those rare men perfumes which I would ware:)
smells good but the cologne is a bit over-rated and for the younger generation ... high school - college ... does not give the elegant touch to it ... more like sweet smelling, fresh in a relationship and new to the world kinda guy ... its dry down is the best part in the cologne ... and its longetivity is amazing ... stays for the whole day if not more ...
Well, I went to the free-shop with a lot of expectations because this one hasn't been launched in my country, and was love at first snif, I bought it immediately, the opening is some kind of "tutti frutti" mixed with citruses, later appear the notes of leather, spices and wood that make a lovely drydown. It's a long lasting scent, stays on my skin, even after taking a shower.
The best of all it's that nobody has this one in Argentina, almost nobody :-)
Yes, it smells like gold, but unlike Dior J'adore for women, this perfume smells like "gold plus something citric" or "metallic gold". I imidiatelly recall gold and TASTE-not-smell of orange juice. Instead of women's Jadore (pure gold), which is sweet and rounded, it sounds more sharpy, in a more male style. But, girls and boys, my question is "Should the man smell like gold or platinum ?" That is the scent of a wife, not of a husband!
One of my fave perfume! I love i cos its not really strong with alchohol, it still has a hint of roses and grapefruits which makes it smells fresh. The bottle? Lets just say my friends are so jealous.
yum! gave it to my boyfriend for his birthday. he loves it. whenever he wears it i just wana eat him its so good!
Wow, the bottle design is really in your face! As much as I love the packaging and original idea, I can't bring myself to enjoy the fragrance. It's too sharp and intoxicating. If I do have one million I'd buy it just for a laugh.
I have tested it and like it very much.
Positive: enjoyable dry down, soft leather dipped in sweet cinnamon.
Negative: err... too feminine. But it's OK, still manly.
On paper strip took 4 days to vaporize, if longevity and silage is good on the skin too, I'm buying it.
Overall very well crafted and quality better than other synthetics due to high concentration of natural substances - though not that expensive - like the peppermint.
I just love the smell of this and its lasttttttttts forever ... you can spray it in the morning and it will stay with you up until night time ... perfect for casual/sweet everyday hang out with your girlfriend ....
I tried this at the mall the other day
and I fell in love with the scent ! The scent is vibrant, sultry, and sophisticated. The orange notes dance.I smelled something close to a fresh cigar, unsmoked. I thought for sure there was a tobacco note in it! My husband commented that the perfume is very sweet.
The fixation is excellent-the scent lasted
even after I washed my hands!
Gold can't be like this scent. Gold is something more metalic, more secret, more luxerious, more attractive. Hotter while colder. 1Millions is a cute scent. Suitable for new beginners. It's modern, warm, good for evening. We should call it Paco (1, or 2 ) pour Homme. Some similar floral, some woody, some spicy -> can't be Gold scent.
I tried it out of curiosity yesterday. Well...I can feel pungent, acid admixture, a kind of metallic-like note which probably contributes to the concept. I agree that the scent (not the concept) is out of the beaten line, original, noticeable, of good quality. Respecting its individuality I still don't believe it (according to Stanislavsky). Imho it smells more of a obsession to get 1 million or an idea that 1 Million is not enough....In one word, it is mutinous. Personally I would prefer Creed's gold - Imperial Millesime.
A most unusual bottle and rather elitist in it's concept of gold/money/ success/status.
I have to admit, I was doubtful about this fragrance before trying it, but ever since I did, I can't stop sniffing the back of my left hand - I desperately want it!
It's very unusual in a men's fragrance and quite unique in it's composition - I have a feeling this may be around for as long as PR pour homme has been.
Do try it with an open mind; you may surprise yourself.
In fact, the bottle and the name have no relation to the fragrance... I find it very nice, long lasting. It's kind of a cousin of Gaultier2... the base of both are very similar! It may receive a summer edition in the future... as this one is not very suitable for hot days...
how can i start to describe...so in malta we have a saying. When trnslated it say...the eye catches first... and oh boy isn't the packing gr8!!!! Very expensive looking bootle and fantastic smell! a must this winter...paco parfumes are always unique:)
Who called it a men fragrance? I would say it's unisex, because the top notes are very feminine - sweet and a bit spicy rosy scent. Base is warm and soft. I like the fragrance, it is nice:)I also love the bottle which is very covenient to spray, and its design is different than others. But what this bottle has in common with the scent in it? I don't really find the relation...
yes yes... i tested it in my sephora store and... im sad! love it love it - bottle - matt gordon and campaign but this fragrance is not for me - like it but dont want to wear it - love the sweet accord but the rest not - too masculine! something in composition reminds me on male parfums from gaultier... and hope my boyfriend would love it - and i will buy it for him:-)))
Sorry in advance for my negative review. At first I don't like the name and the entourage, they offer to smell like money, i.e. like a man who has a lot of money, but where is a Man? He is not important at all without that million!
It's a pity, that now we think only about how to get rich, how to sell even if we sell something to children, how to survive. Companies exploit even diseases for their own promotion, I think if you want to help, simply give money, don't shout about it everywhere.
It's not modest at all, I mean the name of the fragrance, I respect modest people.
So, sorry for off ;o) Now about the fragrance itself. For such a sum, the fragrance is too light, it must be heavy and bold, don't you think? The composition is lack of personality. This million wasn't earned. Very young man spends the money of his rich daddy. Look at the picture ;o) Fun is the only thing he is after. For me million means to work hard...
uwaaahh..
the best..the rich..the elegant..the gourges..the ssexies...the power...
it's not so impressive but is really different.
esse prefume é muito bom o pessoa ta amando quem dizer que não gostou do perfume é maluco e ilusionista!
I'm not really into women wearing men's fragrances, but this one is awesome! You feel the cinnamon so much its edible. Can't figure out why they’re marketing it as men's fragrance when it's obviously a classic unisex fragrance.
That said, it's a wonderful, warm, sweet, and sexy scent. A great choice for both work and play.
the bottle could be great but its too much, especially for a man, but the smell is great, masculine but a bit sweet, while fresh too. so the smell is perfect:)
Bought this one today - GREAT scent!
Mix of black and a lighter shade.
Something like a mix of Tom Fords lighter eau de toilette + Black Orchid.
My wife and daugher love it also (on themselves).
This fragrance is great...I had a sample this morning and I can't stop smelling it. It is fresh but persistent, very masculine. You can really smell mint for a long time, then is very sweet and fresh, a bit floral but not feminine at all..I will buy it for sure
