PG07 Cologne Grand Siecle (for women and men)

This is another excellent edition from the wonderful Parfumerie Generale house.

It's a fresh, citrusy fragrance that can be considerd as a perfect everyday cologne. Moreover, and its strength, it has a depth in its long-lasting bass notes, quite different, though not dissimilar to the original 1980s (classic) Eau Pour Homme by Armani.

Described as 'simple and noble', this perfume is made from pure (organic) essential oils and opens with a wonderful citrus burst of top notes that give rise to subtle middle notes including wheat and plant extracts. That which many mens' citrus colognes lack is staying power: that beautiful freshness often fades quickly to leave a faint trace. However, and like the aforementioned Armani, 'Cologne Grand Siecle' really does last all day, and has a twist of beautiful vetiver to give this gem both its earthy masculinity and its strength.

This is perhaps not a 'wow' fragrance or a ultra-modern fraiche fragrance like Chanel's Allure Homme Sport or L'eau d'Issay Pour Hoome, rather it is a highly sophisticated re-working of an older fragrance concept that gives delightful and constantly surprising outcomes.
