Skin Musk Parfums de Coeur for women

I ADORE this scent! A sweet musk; so comfy, secure & softly sexy. It is strong, yet soft. I love it.

This is one of my scents that helped me through a very difficult home life growing up.

I think while some teens dealt with things with drugs, I chose perfume for the most part. Sometimes it truly made me feel a little safer, and loved.

This perfume was like a soft gentle hug from the Mom I wish I had, an extra shield against the cruel world.

Comfort in a bottle.

I wore Bonne Bell Skin Musk throughout my high school years in the early 1980s. I was originally attracted to it because it smelled so different from my previous fragrance experiences (like Love's Baby Soft, Love' Musky Jasmin, Village Aspen Glow...not exactly a refined palette), and I thought it smelled unusual. Another reviewer mentioned Skin Musk being reminiscent of vintage Revlon Flex shampoo, and I know just what she means! (I'm also reminded of Flex, oddly, by Bois Des Iles). I used to spray Skin Musk on my body as though I was afraid I'd miss a pore, or a skin cell. I used the EDP spray as well as the parfum oil, just to make sure the scent lasted. (Did you just shudder? I did). Skin Musk was not timid back then, like its current incarnation in Parfum de Coeur body spray. I recall a friend telling me he knew where I'd wiped out on a ski slope because he could smell my perfume in the snow in the place I'd fallen...Skin Musk is a dry, green musk; slightly "Egyptian", slightly "white", and balsamy, with a hint of what smells like oakmoss, to me. Skin Musk still smells beautiful. It reminds me of the intensity and passion of my very true first love, and of teenage angst, and those things should never be forgotten.

I have the original 2 oz bottle from when it was Bonne Bell Skin Musk. Years ago I was interested in layering scents and read an article about Sarah Jessica Parker using this with an inexpensive perfume oil and a high end perfume to create a signature scent. I use it to tone down perfumes that are too sweet or floral.

i hate the reformulated version, but the old bottles still smell just as good. it isn't really musky, and it isn't a soapy-laundry type clean scent, either. it's more of a clean-skin sort of scent. hard to explain, but it smells so good!

This is one of my everday drugstore brands. It's light, clean, with a musky skin scent, and doesn't scream "teen" like some of the other "shelf" brands do. Reminds me of the old Revlon Flex shampoo. (which I would covet!) I prefer wearing this in the spring and summer, while in the fall/winter I tend to favor Jovan Musk for it's warmer notes. I hear SJP loves Skin Musk and was the inspiration for Lovely. Overall, just a great, inexpensive everyday fragrance.

I used to wear this alot back in the days. It came in a different glass bottle than the one shown above. I prefer the older one and it was a nice light scent.

I liked how the sweetness reminds me of...carmex lip balm. It is another fragrance I can compare to cake...as it smells so gewd!o(≧∀≦)o huhu well it is youthful as any young girl will like to use, but just not seeming to be as popular these days. I enjoyed it and I may buy for my self for some days! And if you like eating cake and ice cream and stuff, you need a sweet smell to do so with...so get this.

Very suprised that they would have a musk scent targeted at teens. This seemed a bit too grown up for someone in high school. It has a bit of a mild, subdued aroma. I tried the perfume oil and not the body spray and got some great longevity. It definitely does not compare to Jovan Musk, but still a very nice and simply fragrance at a great buy.

I love this perfume. It is one of the first scents I owned, and I still wear it. I have always loved everything Bonne Bell, and still use many of their products. As a very young teen with babysitting money, I would head straight to Sears and buy Bonne Bell products. I adored this scent, and has it in the oil. I wore it all through junior high, high school, and wear it now! It is a simple, clean, outdoorsy, kind of sweet and powdery musk. I love it.

I am not a fan of this as it is way too subtle for me. For some reason, I also detected a note reminescent of Love's Baby Soft.

I love this! It's so soft and gentle that it can be worn around people bothered by perfume. It always makes me feel fresh and clean. I think it can be layered with other perfumes because it's so essentially non-descript! I am looking forward to dousing myself in it this summer so I can feel clean and not sweaty!

I loved Skin musk oil when it was made by Bonne Bell Corp. When it transferred over to Parfums de Coeur, it must have been reformulated because it does not smell as wonderful as it used to. It is still nice, but it's just not the same as the original formula from Bonne Bell.

I also bought this based on glowing reviews. Didn't know it would be so overpoweringly powdery I'd feel like I fell in baby powder. Sorry but I didn't like it & got rid of it. It's too bad I couldn't have sampled it before buying.

I bought Skin Musk recently because of all of the glowing reviews I have read about it. I really, really wanted to like it. It smelled nice in the bottle but once it mixed with my skin chemistry it smelled just like citronella. I literally smelled like insect repellent! I couldn't wash it off fast enough. Skin Musk probably smells awesome on others but it doesn't mix well with my skin unfortunately.

Gosh, I remember this from junior high! It seemed to go through the school like wild fire. It's not my favorite but it's a comfort, take me way back scent that I never want to leave my memories. I just got two more bottles of the oil. The unique scent (nice scent) and lasting power are impressive. Too bad so many expensive and well known brands can't make something this enjoyable AND with longevity.

Believe it or not this perfume that can be found for about 9 bucks has been one of the few perfumes Ive ever worn that has brought compliments. I wore it when I was 14 yrs old and I remember huging a boy who said, ooooooo you smell so good. I even wore this in my twenties occasionally and again compliments.

Its such a simple scent. Outdoorsy, clean, and musky. And now that my nose has evolved to appreciate the wonders of amazing complex perfumes, this scent is almost impossible to wear. I doubt Ill ever wear it again. But I do miss the compliments it brought. Why is it that I can wear a beautiful Guerlain and no one notices. Then I can spray on this and people comment?????

I read that this is one of Sarah Jessica Parkers favorite scents. And when she thought it would be discontinued she stock piled many bottles.

Spray with a light hand. A little goes a long way. And it lasts until you shower!

I used to wear this oil when I was pregnant and couldnt stand any other notes. This is a very clean scent, and great just to smell simople and fresh.

Not an overly complex scent but nice nonetheless. Fresh, clean, warm, feminine. For such an inexpensive scent, it sure gets compliments!
