I like this a lot. It's a good perfume for the price.
I love this one, I like anything playboy related targeted for the ladies(despite how its girlie magazine for the guys) so I was happy when I saw fragrances being released for the girls! Play it lovely sure is lovely, its more innocent, fluffy and powdery then naughty and sexy like the bunnies in the mansion!
this bunny is rather on the cute, soft and on fluffy side, she's more innocent and smiley then the naughty and sexy bunnies. shes the kinda bunny who would wear something light pink with lots of lace only showing leg and a smile, she's also cozy and very down to earth! the kinda gal any guy would be more then happy to bring home to his mom.
I'm surprised at the notes of this one, and a little confused, as people are saying play it spicy smells like amor amor, but i am finding this one smells exactly like amor amor.
I am getting sweet vanilla red berries and some rose. Actually a very nice fragrance, even if it is a dupe.
I have buy this accidently when i was strooling at Watsons, after smell and smell i choose this "Play it lovely" at first i think of this would be my casual fragrance as i reserve the expensive for special moment. But now it become one of my reserved fragrance. The sweet smell has capture my heart and it have a lovely bunny shape bottle. For me it quite lasting or maybe i spray a lot and most of all it not smell cheap, and the price are very affordable.
Just bought this today, and love it! Everyone is different, but it sure seems to stick to me for awhile, unlike some of the comments claiming it has no lasting power. I don't smell alcohol or think it smells cheap. Smells soft and sweet and delicious! I like it better than some of my more expensive perfumes!
I agree reviews with the lasting power of this, there is NONE. The 10 minutes I could smell it on my wrist, it seemed nice, nothing spectular, but then it was gone. Disappointing.
I received a bottle of this for Christmas last year and I really liked it. It's light and sweet with a slightly spicy edge. This is really unoffensive and all my friends thought I smelt great. They couldn't believe it was Playboy! To be honest it's not a scent I'd repurchase because it isn't anything special but it was pleasant enough when I had it.
I bought this out of curiosity , after picking up the Playboy New York thinking it was for women - it was only $10.00 - almost took it back but later that day I mentioned my mistake and asked my boyfriend he would want to put some on just for the hell of it. My god it smells so good on him ! On him it's so sexy and absolutely delicious - I admit I was surprised that this smelled this good, not cheap or obnoxious like I find alot of men's colognes and fragrances - even alot of the high dollar ones out there I could care less for.
So I thought this time I would get my self the Playboy for women right this time - Play It Lovely out of the three they have for ladies. I immediately loved the sweet peachy scent, it's creamy and soft . The citrus is gentle but bright , the berries add to the sweet femininity of this perfume . Amber is one of my most favorite scents so I can't deny this is a yummy sexy perfume. It does not smell cheap at all, at least to me , my only complaint is that it has no power to it , I don't see why the people that developed this couldn't of made it a little stronger , surely it can't cost them that much to do so, there are other 'drugstore' perfumes out there that have staying power along with smelling great. Play It Lovely may not stand out amongst the myriad of perfumes out there but that doesn't make that a bad thing if you have it; if only they would of made this stronger, I think this could of been a fantastic scent.
Cheap drugstore scent. After 30 minutes the smell is just like a cheap aftershave to me.
Bought this blind at my local drug store and was pleasantly surprised. This fragrance is cheap price wise($12 on sale), however I don't think that it smells cheap at all. It's a fruity floral that warms up. But then again depending on individual chemistry it could dry different on you. Good if you can wear sweet vanilla scents! I really like it and I thought the bottle was cute.
I agree with someone on here who said it starts off ok but turns a little stale and musky. I had the same problem. The Play it Sexy one I found to be the worst. Play it Spicey seems to be the only one I can wear which lasts and actually smells nice. They are cheap and are Playboy I know some people don't like the brand and what it stands for. I couldn't care less I just wanteda a cheap vanilla smell for around home or going to bed or whatever. I find Spicey lasts and is worth the $12 I paid. I wouldn't pay $30+ which is what one chemist wanted I just laughed no way!! If you see it really cheap then it's ok but it really isn't for going to work or out at night it just doesn't do anything on your skin and it is hard to smell. I will say it doesn't smell trashy to me if someone was wearing it I wouldn't rush to ask them what it was but I wouldn't even know what it was it isn't offensive either. No headaches so far!
This is a sweet and light scent. I see it only for young girls who don't want to go wrong. It's a bit like a showergel scent or so.
Smells good, and reminds me a lot of Flowerbomb. Sadly, it doesn't last very long at all. I reckon it's an okay cheaper "dupe" of Flowerbomb.
Ok scent, but fades fast! Like others say, put the $$ toward something better. You'll appreciate more in the long run!
Smells wonderfully. Doesn't last for a second. Don't waste your money
oh i love this smell amazing
lasting power is quite good
the bottle is quite cute
gonna get it!xxx
Smells good when it soaks in on my skin for about 15 minutes then it just fades away. Full of alcohol too. That is all I smelled when I tried it. Not impressed... :(
When testing this one the last week or so, I tried it twice. And both times it started light sweet... indeed it was "Lovely". I was actually very suprised... I don't want to be cliche' but I thought being a Playboy fragrance it might be cheap or trashy.
It is a good fragrance for the low price point I will say that. And initially with the opening notes I absolutely fell in love with it! The only problem is that these fresh and wonderful notes fade very quickly.. and within a short period of time turns into a completely different scent all together. Not just a floral.. but a stale and yucky one. IT became kind of musky on me after a while and I had to go wash it off within 1/2 an hour to an hour. :( I was so sad. It was awful. What I first loved, I hated it. No getting around it. It really distracted me from my work so I really had to go wash it off pronto! ugh :( awful. I even tried it twice in case I was wrong the first time. :(
Sighs.. oh well. :) I guess you get what you pay for? For $18.00 I am not sure how high quality I can expect? Especially for a fragrance that is brand new. It is a very low price. It certainly smelled worse than cheap. :(
I did, however, really enjoy "Play it Spicy". I will have to test that one again though to make sure I really like it. You never know. :) A Beautiful Fragrance at a Bargain price is a rare thing. Not sure if I should hold my breath though. :) ~ A girl can hope.
I know very well this fragances..cheapie scent for both ,men and women.
I prefer Antonio Banderas fragrances are cheap but their smell is not so commercial, passsable.
The opening reminds me of Nina Ricci Nina, but the difference that this Playboy is sexier and matured than the girlish Nina, and surprisingly more sophisticated too.
The top notes clearly detectables and dominants.
If I could choose the name of the triology I would name this one Sexy because it is more sexier than the official Playboy Play it Sexy, which I don't like much.
This is the best among the line. I love the design too (cute bunny on the shelf).
Lovely is soft and light on me.. It is perfect for when I am going out to do some grocery shopping or something and don't want to waste my nicer perfumes.. It is one of my go to scents for dress down casual days. It is like a pretty floral body spray, just one that is actually nice! BTW, has anyone else noticed that the colors of the Lovely and the Spicy are switched on the pictures above? The Lovely is the light pink color and the Spicy has the darker pink/orange tint to it.. Just an observation.. It could be confusing to some since the bottles dont actually say their name on them..
Telling that a perfume has low quality and smells cheap is 100 times more honest than just saying "it's nice". I admit I do have an issue with Playboy - because it's quality.
If you guests check my profile (i don't know if you can - you're guests after all...) but if yes, you can see that I rated some famous brands 'I don't like' such as Dior, Prada, Gucci etc. because i DO NOT like them. And I also love some rarely known perfumes like Replay.
In this case you can see I don't judge Playboy. I believe you judge me! And being nasty to someone just because her opinion is different than yours is way more vulgar than Play it lovely...
To make a long story short, shut the **** up and leave us members alone! Finally I still believe I don't like this scent. Whatever it's called Playboy or Nina Ricci...
As for the Sexy version Lovely smells like an intense deospray from supermarket but more polished. This one is more gentle, floral and longlasting, but honestly I can't smell the listed notes!
I was excited when I read the notes, but I tried it at Sears and it seems watered down with alchohol. I wish the notes came through, and there was less alchohol. If I could have captured the peach or ras, I would have been happy. But you couldn't really distinguish anything in particular. Even after settling.
Play it Lovely makes me think about Nina Ricci apple scents which i adore, but -and i hate to say that- it's a tipical Playboy perfume: low quality, and the smell is only *nice*, not more, and (excuse me!) sluty and vulgar
Inspired by Light Blue.
In middle notes it gets sharp & bitter.
Lasts 5+ hours.
