Confetto (for women and men)

I first sampled Confetto when seeking out almond-based fragrances. I'd fallen for L'Artisan's Jour de Fête (omitted on this site, grrr) and went from there. I then discarded Confetto on the basis of not being almondy enough and too sweet.
Today, I can appreciate this one more, I think. It is a full-bodied musky vanilla cream in which one single almond has drowned. Certainly sweet, but not ridiculously so. This could make a very pleasant fragrant aura for someone who wants to come across as non-threatening, motherly, safe. It does what Lostmarch Lann'Ael promises (and fails) to do: evoke childhood memories and fuzzy warmth. A YSBB (Your Skin But Better) scent.
Like any Profvmvm, its longevity and strength are excellent, but Confetto wears closer to the skin than others from the line (Dambrosia, Antico Caruso). Still, don't overdo it. It's stronger than you'd think at first spray.
Lovely, but not worth the price for me. For the right person, this could be a HG.
