Vanitas Profumum Roma for women

vanilla over-load,which I could never imagine to be

Profumum Vanitas is a gorgeous "chilly" vanilla. If you are a vanilla fan, then this is a must try. Yes, it's a sweet vanilla, but the myrrh gives it a cool and crisp aspect, which keeps it from becoming sickly sweet. The sillage is strong, but it's not in-your-face; rather, it's quiet and slowly tiptoes out into the spotlight every so often. The lasting power is phenomenal and I only have to apply once in the morning and it'll last all day.

It reminded both my partner and I of an amusement park- it's very much like nibbling wads of cotton/floss candy while a lightly-scented summer breeze whips your hair about. "Carousel" came up in our discussion as an alternate name, and brought us both back to our childhood and state fairs the second we caught a whiff of this one- that's a marvelous power, don't you think?

So far all the Profumum's scents I have tried were excellent, sophisticated, strong, thick, intriguing. Vanitas seemed like a winning combination: vanilla and sandalwood, with myrrh and orange blossom. The first spray promised something almost boozy, again: thick, creamy, sweet and woody.

Unfortunately, 5 seconds later all was gone. I resprayed. And again, I could hardly feel anything. I pretty much used the whole sample, I sprayed it over my hair, my neck, my wrists. I left the home. And I felt nothing. Upon pressing my wrist to the skin I could barely smell the vanilla accord and some orange blossom. But the projection is non existing, but you really need to be very, very close to smell anything at all. I mean, very close. The scent lasts, but unless you have your nose glued to the place you sprayed it, you wont even notice you are wearing a perfume. The vanilla-orange blossom accords linger in the background, but Id like the scent to stand out a bit more!

I am testing this line looking for sweet gourmand and vanilla scents and this is the first one I have tried out of Profumum`s creations. I love the simple bottle designs of this niche house and I am hoping to extend my small fragrance collection with one of these beauties soon.

Vanitas is a lovely, creamy vanilla with a playful twist - it might be the myrrh here but it smells a bit bubblegum-ish on me! It`s fun!! Doesn`t evolve much on my skin, stays soft and gentle. Really nice scent, not too sweet and unique for sure.

Great longevity but stays close to skin, unfortunately sillage is not great on me. For this price I would have expected killer sillage so I dont`t think I would buy a bottle of Vanitas but I am not at all disappointed.
I am glad I was introduced to this house and now looking forward to testing some of their other offerings.

This is an incredibly sweet vanilla. I dont detect much sandalwood or myrrh, and whatever orange blossom is here only serves as an extra sweetening ingredient! Luckily vanilla is my favorite note and I love gourmand and sweet perfumes, but I suspect some will find this much too sugary and might probably say it's comparable to something like Pink Sugar. I do feel a certain quality in this scent though and I prefer this over PS, which I also own. I will buy a FB of this because I am a perfume hoarder. But if I wasn't Able to spend all my money on perfumes I'd probably be able to do without this one in my collection.

Glad it's here now. This I must say, has turned out to be one of my favorite vanilla fragrances. I even like it more than Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef and Arpels. Vanitas is a creamy vanilla scent without being sugary sweet. It's very longlasting and that might be Profumum's trademark with their fragrances. To me, the sandalwood in this is very light and you might smell a little chocolate note if more is applied.
