When I first purchased this it was what I thought was an excellent deal: 125 ml. for 9.99-WOW! I was in the discount store so of course I had like 10 other things in my basket and failed to notice until I got it home that it was aftershave balm! Upon opening it and sniffing it I was pleasantly surprised...

I am often wary of frags with eucalyptus in them. It can overpower more subtle notes and make you smell like you just came out of a steam room. This is not the case with Quiksilver for men. The aquatic notes (calone) temper the grapefruit and bitter orange (bigarade in French)and keep this from being neither too aquatic nor too citric. The eucalyptus is more in its pure form than the mentolated version in muscle rubs and cough drops. The addition of salt from the sea may have something to do with this. The sandalwood (organic and Australian being a bonus) and clean musk make this feel very well-blended and smooth.

It may be linear but remember it was made for surfers and beachy types who stay pretty close to the surface of the sea and love its scent so much they want to smell like it even when they are not at it. Quiksilver accomplishes this very well. Fresh, intense, clear, powerful and calm at the same time different from all the other aquatics out there...needless to say I went back and got the 100 ml 3 pc Gift Set!

It is a simple thing and it was made for younger active guys. Sometimes you want simple and this frag makes me feel young when I wear it and approaching 42, that's a beautiful thing! Hang loose...

One of the fresh lemony aquatic scents but this one comes with a twist. First of all, the bottle is nice with a sporty rubber cap.The scent starts with a fresh salty citrusy oceanic scent; very typical. The scent seems boring, but I really love it when it dries down! It becomes woody aquatic and it stays just sweet enough to make me feel fresh and pleasant. Eucalyptus doesn't stand out like Vicks VapoRub, but it's there at the right amount to invigorate the whole experience. Overall, I paid $10 for 1.7oz and I can't complain. It's not a bad scent at all! Just make sure you find a great deal.

I picked this one up yesterday at marshalls for $18. From the first spray, its really lemony and smells like lemon Pledge, not appealing at all. You also get the grapefruit and bitter orange. Then after an hour or so, it dries down to a base of sandalwood and musk, with the citrus overlays still lingering.

This fragrance sucks balls, its just like that. I took it back the next day

I expected more from quicksilver, maybe they should stick to surf gear

Quiksilver for men blows my mind away as other fellows had pointed out. Special thanks to Boots for reducing its price. I would regret if I did not decide to buy this and might consider going to buy another bottle as a spare. Please allow me, as being new to aquatic fragrance, to describe this fine fragrance for you.

IMHO, Quiksilver is a truly amazing and incredibly refreshing scent lying in the same category as Bvlgari aqva and Acqua di Gio but radiates in different manners. It eliminates my doubt about its expanded target on perfumery rather than only a fashion design they are very good at.

The opening notes are well formulated coming as a burst of grapefruit and orange. Its dry-down note is one of the most impressive part among other big names in the market. Sandalwood is there and mind you that Quiksilver uses its self-planted Australian sandalwood with the "Australian Certified Organic" label on its box. I have to admit that I always fall for fragrances containing sandalwood ☻

The bottle is really cool with a distinct design on the rubber cap. Sillage is really great packed with very long longevity.

All in all. 10/10 for me. Please keep up decent and affordable fragrance Quiksilver. I'll keep my eyes on your product ☻

Update(03.03.10): Mimimun of 5-6 hours on my skin despite the very watery sensation you feel and smell at the time you spray it on. IMHO, Quiksilver is really worth a try ☻

I smelled this at my local department store recently- it is the BEST smelling scent for a guy, in my opinion. It smells soo fresh and I would just love to smell it on a guy, as if he just got off of the beach. I'm not sure if it would be suitable for winter weather, and i'm not sure if the staying power is good. But it smells divine!

Just purchased 100ml after testing sample. Its very nice cologne for young man.
I think that sample I tested was a lot stronger that actual product.

I tried this and decided that it is totally for a guy. There was a couple of notes in it that I did not like for myself or for my guy. It is a good thing they make different scents for everyones taste.

I am curious about this. I wonder if this would smell good on a woman? I think I will go and check it out, I love marine scents and it seems that the men's are always fresher.

I really like this cologne. Its so simple and can be easily worn for everyday use. It's an ideal cologne if your into a nice, youthful, fresh scent.

I really enjoy the sea water and salt notes combined with the citruses. While I wear it, the light musk in it reminds me of that certain smell that you get in a brand new shirt.

Longtivity is good as well. In the drydown i can smell the cedarwood and amber combined with the leftover citruses.

I really am proud for this to be Quiksilver's first cologne. It totally fits the clothing line and the guys who wear Quiksilver, like me! I hope its never discontinued because its something I'd purchase again.

strong fruity base.. very linear and simple. synthetic plastic pineapple, green medicinal and a generic "aquatic" end.. simply not.
