Ramon Monegal fragrances seems for me like jokes that everyone is laughing and that i cannot find any humor on that. I'm surprised with this perfumer, the three fragrances i tried from him doesn't reflect a experienced perfumer. They have commonplace, short-lived or unworked bases, and seem like a work of a young perfumer that only learned to do the top. L'Eau de Roses has a great rose top, fresh, not sour, musky, slightly fruity, but the drydown is nasty, showing a musk with an egg aroma. Roses and egg note, what and awful combination and awful surprise.
I"m quite a fan of this house, but not so much this perfume. I've worn it three times now and what I've decided is... it's more for the gents. The musk note is just too masculine on my skin.
Can you detect the rose? Yes, but not the feminine type that I"m used to. Now I'm a rose/patchouli lover, and I''ll try anything that has this combo, but I would like geranium or ylang ylang added to earthen it up a bit. As is, it's too airy, bordering on cologn-ish.
OK, so not my favorite from this line; that is still Cherry Musk. But worth trying.
A typical Lush dewy Rose & patchouli perfume, with a quite prominent very musky skin sweaty note in the base. It has quite a warm & balmy feel to it, like hot summer nights. Very strong & longlasting, its certainly a quality perfume. Worth sampling/testing if your after a rich musky skin style Rose fragrance.
A bouquet of roses with musk and patchouly inside a bouttle.
So feminine, so sexy...
