first of all, i'm usually NOT a fan of vanilla, and i can be quite hesitant with amber.
but.
RH definitely knows what she's doing, for this is one of the BEST perfume oils that i've ever tried.
AV is decadent, rich, warm, golden, dark, almost smoky, yet incredibly smooth; opulently ambery & innocently vanillic at the same time. MILES away from the sugary-sweet, synthetic blends, this one's for grown-ups only, and a must-try for every seeker of 'something different'.
in this case, the price really is justified because of its fantastic sillage - a small drop goes a looong way, wears close to the skin & lasts all day.

Not a smooth amber, but slighty woody. This is smokey incense with an underlying vanilla note, but by no means is this a vanilla fragrance. Incense lovers should certainly sample this. I can't wear it as it goes sharply woody on my skin. I love the bottle. Too bad the juice doesn't do it for me.
