Absolutely Fabulous was created in 2001. Soft floral notes, like tuberose, rose and orange blossom, are blended with aldehydes, mandarin, spicy notes, cinnamon and musk.
Available as 50 ml EDT.
This reminds me of Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau. Of course it's much more affordable. I actually think that it's more wearable too. The SL turned me right off when I first smelled it. It could have been the wood and smokiness, but it eventually grew on me. Ab Fab is similar, although the lasting power is not quite as good. All in all it's a well made fragrance from dear old Revlon. They sure do make some beauties, e.g. Ciara and Ajee.
I hate to say this, but on me, it smells like cough syrup and nail polish remover.
this one is really confusing, i don't know what to say, it's floral, fruity, woody, oriental, spicy and even gets chypre sometimes.. ok, let's get serious, it starts with a non-offensive fruity note, then lots of flowers kick in, then it gets kind of oriental floral - i know lots of you will think i'm kidding, it's really a weird fume yet lovely - anyways, back to the notes, flowers and sweetness are long gone now and it becomes completely woody, there's a certain spice accompanying the whole description above (probably the cinnamon which i adore), it's really strong but as it dries down it goes softer and softer till it fades completely maybe that's why i only like it, the longevity isn't that impressive, also, i sometimes apply it and all i get is a chypre "scent" on my skin, which is no scent at all but a strong something (then again, probably the aldehydes); this fume's problem is that i'll never know what i'll get when i spray it and i require something different each time i wear a perfume depending on my mood, health, weather, etc... so, to spray some unknown spritzes like that, you have to be open to anything to begin with, otherwise, wear another fume
OH MY GOSH! Ok, this scent comes on STRONG.. so strong that my eyeballs almost rolled back behind my head. With this perfume, please apply sparingly. I think I like the smell but I sprayed too much I suppose because my head hurts. I would say one spritz will do you and be enough to probably last all day.. that's just a guess at this point, but I can not believe the sillage of this one. Why is it that my favorite scents don't have sillage like this? Sillage I give this 10/10. Scent wise... a tad bit too much alchohol for my tastes, but decent. I'll see how this one wears. I wish the little furry thing was attached to the cap. Unfortunately when I take off the cap the furry thing goes flying :)
I absolutely love this scent. . . I cannot put my finger on it but it is intoxicating. I can still smell it on me at the end of the day. I have never smelled a fragrance like this.
My other fav is Red Door.
This is quite an exceptional perfume. It is spicy, smokey in someway, but sweet & fruity too! It is not easily understood, but also intriguing.
I would say it is kind of a spicy cinnamon version of Versus Donna vintage.
