Alchimie is a feminine floriental fragrance, which possesses mysterious power to hypnotize all the senses and awaken desires. The delicate alchemy of love at the top notes is made of black currant, bergamot, peach and plum, along with cassia, lilac and pear. Middle notes introduce mimosa, rose, jasmine, heliotrope, lily-of-the-valley, coconut and wisteria. What makes the base of this scent so warm and powdery is vanilla, accompanied by sandalwood, tonka bean, musk and caramel. Creator of the perfume is Jacques Cavallier, and Serge Mandau is the designer of the bottle. It was first presented in 1998.

Huh, reading all these stunning reviews, I can't wait to scrub Alchemie off. To my nose there's something very nauseating and synthetic going on here, maybe an overdose of vanilla like in Tocade or the sheer number of notes making it too busy... The longer I wear it, the more it resembles Tocade multiplied by 10 times. I really wanted to like it and might give it another try in colder weather but for now it's killing me.

I had this stunner packed away for a later gift after finding it in the clearance bin. Now I finally opened it and tried it. WOW! Absolutely luscious luxury in a bottle. Floriental? Why not. It is warm, but not stuffy. Sensual, not cloying like expected. This originates from a fasion house that pulls no punches with creating a complex and dramatic fragrance. I Have never tried any mens offerings. Perhaps I will. The only camparison I find is Casmir by Chopard. Its tasty, clean and seductive. It works fine in warm weather. Its too bad it has been discontinued. There is really not much on the market to compare it too.

I've been looking for this perfume for quite some time. I have never been able to match up another fragrance quite as evocative and sophisticated as this one. It evokes a sense of mystery that is very classic and tragically romantic. However, I must say that this scent isn't for every skin type in my experience. I recommend 20 minutes of wear as a minimum to gauge whether or not it suits you. Very slight perspiration helps bring forward some of the more subtle notes...

For those that have it - this one is a little treasure. Gives every lady that wears it - the scent of aristocracy.

I bought it today without smelling it first and I am surprised in a good way.I liked it a lot.When i read about the frag I was expecting heavy, super sweet oriental with sticky sweet dry down ,but nooo,istead it is very soft ,light,creamy oriental , super sexy and addictive.fills me up with harmony....

One of my first grown up fragrances, when it was first released, so it holds good memories for me. I recently purchased another bottle and it still smells divine. A true oriental scent, a winner, so sad its discontinued.

This fragrance confirms an old saying that every woman can be beautiful only if she wants to.Imagine the most subtle cocktail made of coconut, vanilla and peach.the deep base is rich and musky.
A true gem among fragrances.
