I have it: 11 I had it: 2 I want it: 32
French house of Romea D`Ameor introduced a collection of seven perfumes, which were inspired by secrets of beauty of famous women who played an important role and marked the history. These women are charismatic and radiate in full beauty. The perfumes were created in cooperation with perfumer Pierre Bourdon and they were named: The Princess of Venice, The Great Inca Priestesses, The Mistresses of Louis XIV, The Sovereigns of Egypt, The Great Empresses of Japan, The Secret Heroines of the Tsar, The Taj Mahal’s Eternal Love.
The Sovereigns of Egypt promises floating on fragrant clouds of melon, passion fruit, litchi and cloves; middle notes are enriched with orchid from the Baleari islands, jasmine, magnolia, rose and heliotrope, while base notes include vetiver, iris, Peru balsam, coconut, peach, vanilla, amber and musk. The Sovereigns of Egypt was launched in 2008.

Complex, sweet, slightly spiced. Sweet melon and perfume-y vetiver that smells like sandalwood. Mostly the notes all blend together in a pleasant but undecipherable mass. Elegant, but to me overcomplicated. To someone else, this will be heaven: Soft, pretty, well spoken. Also fairly sheer and not a lot of sillage.
This smells like almonds and marsipan on my skin. slightly balsamic . close to skin , gental and Sweet. Coco nut also. this is abit to sweet one the marshipan note to me .. but all in all not to bad ,
not in any means an ordinery perfume , this is more like an Turchis delight delicasy.. flirty delicios , one the edge off to sweet . but on the right person im shure good:)
Roméa D'Améor LES SOUVERAINES D'EGYPTE is a somewhat sweet floriental with a comfort-scent demeanor. The vanilla and orchid mingle together in a creamy base to create an effect as snuggly as a fleece blanket on a cold winter's day. Like fleece, this perfume has a thinner texture than is typical for floriental perfumes, and it even comes close to some of the aquatic orientals I've tried, including Lalique NILANG and Salvador Dali LAGUNA. There is a touch of spice but it is very light and serves only as a complement, not as a focus in this composition. Although I sometimes find orchid a dirty note, here it seems clean. (Perhaps because it's green?) Despite the thin texture and somewhat low sillage, the longevity of LES SOUVERAINES D'EGYPTE is fairly good. This is an unobtrusive oriental appropriate for public settings: neither very dark nor very complex. Perhaps this would be a good oriental for the hot weather in Egypt. 3.25.11
I agree with Rebella on this one, it's a sweet fresh creamy scent, the cloves adding some nice depth (not much depth) but it's sexy but still a fun scent. I don't find the clove overbearing at all and I just love the clove sweetness of this one. Yes it's sweet but something about it just makes me want to keep sniffing it.
It starts out smelling like Exclamation... the dry down becomes like the dry down of Tresor... So good if you love the start of Exclamation, and prefer the dry down of Tresor to the initial pow! of Tresor's starting notes...
Considering all 3 have peach, rose, heliotrope, jasmine, musk, amber and vanilla... I think it's a fair comparison to make. I could wear this, because i love the smell. I just don't know about the price tag... and the fact that i'm paying a lot more for this, than I would for Lancome or Coty...
well, this is not bad, for some reason I expected a little bit more character of this one. The intro notes are lovely, the drydown is a little bit similar to that of SL's Arabie (honey-dried fruit-like, not that cloying, though).
On the way there was one thought that kept popping up in my mind i.e. 'Cloves. I love cloves but somehow this is too much'
A fragrance that is packed with flowers, fruits and creamy vanilla. It is soft, warm and sweet. Smells expensive and luxorious, a fragrance that chers you up and make you very comfortable. It´s kind of silky lingering, like exclusive handmade french underwear. Never to strong, to sweet or to much. Just enough of everything, excellent blenden, very seamless... Perfect scent for many occations, whenever you want to feel secure, confident and sexy without showing off. Incredible longlasting and nice sillage, without disturbing. It kinds of grow on you, I like it better for each time I try it, like many of the others in the Romea D'Ameor-serie. Very much worth a try, and a new try and before you know it, you are really found of it! Enjoy!
