UPDATE: This fragrance is growing on me. I like it more and more. Despite its lightness, it has an aura about it with much character. Its smell reminds me a lot of that small bowl of fragrant nick-nacks you are offered in Indian restaurants to sweeten your breath after a hot curry.
This is a nice fresh cool woody fragrance. I like it and it confirms to me that ST Dupont fragrances are rather underrated. As well as the mint and bergamot, I smell sweet & spicy anise-like notes (although anise is not listed in the ingredients) and the overall aura is that of a refreshingly cool cocktail (say a crème de menthe/lime juice/pina colada – if such a cocktail exists) being sipped casually on a beautiful tropical beach on a warm sunny day. This feeling is accentuated by the striking aquamarine colour of what I have to say is a gorgeously elegant, low-slung and reassuringly heavy bottle.
The spritzer is extraordinarily powerful, which is just as well as the miserable longevity of this scent is a real problem (2-3 hrs max), necessitating some heavy spraying and several reapplications during the day. Overall it's great for summer daytime use, but make sure you get the biggest bottle possible and at a dirt cheap price too because of its humble performance. My final verdict is that this scent is probably worthy of a purchase, but is hardly an essential addition to my collection and is also not helped by its substandard longevity, and thus I doubt if I will replace it when finished.
Looking at the notes and the bottle colour I was expecting something fresh and aquatic. But the scent surprisingly is woody powdery oriental copy (maybe watered down a bit) of... Armani Code! A cheap alternative to Armani's fragrance.
its a nice no nonsense fragrance. simple and suitable for everyday use.
i bought the aftershave. it's very cooling, but has a slightly sweet smell. maybe it's the violet or freesia notes.
Very nice bottle and packaging. Very fresh, a bit spicy maybe due to choriander, not too heavy, daywear and evening wear receommended, the evening should not be too formal though. A nice and pleasant frag!
Loved it on 2007 summer...so fresh and cool.
wow this fragrance is amazing so fresh and lovely i could smell on it all day long. i must say it seems a bit too feminine, in fact when i first smelled it i thought it was a woman fragrance and almost bought it for my self. the top is fresh and a bit fruity but the drydown reveals the woody notes and the actual masculine character of this frag. i recomand it very much it will drive your ladies crazy boys!
