Shiseido Zen Version Summer arrives on the market in spring 2009. The new, third version of the modern Zen is a limited edition, ideal for summer period of this year and it introduces aromas such as lemon, cedrat, apple, grapefruit, peach and blackcurrant with a heart of freesia, gardenia, lily of the valley, blue rose and lotus, which have a calming effect, resting on a base of raspberry, cedarwood, amber and musk. Zen Summer arrives as “fragrance of light” in a white flacon formed like a characteristic cube. It comes in 50ml EDP bottle.

Actually it's quite funny that people compare this to D&G's "Light Blue" as I was going around the duty-free store I tested both, not expecting Zen Summer to be so...well..zen! It's soft and fresh like light blue with a touch of fruitiness, which kinda changes the whole scent. Definitely a great summer scent!
Zen Summer is pleasant! Also, I don't know if it's because it's limited edition but out of the 4 that were being sold at duty free (Zen, Zen concentrated, Zen eau de parfum, and Zen summer), Zen summer was the least in supply. I actually got the last bottle. yay for me!

This is so lovely. It´s exotic,fresh,fruity...just gorgeous.Perfect for the summertime. Too bad it is a limited edition.

I first wanted to have the original Zen, not the summer edition. My mother gave this to me as a present, she took the wrong one with a sample of the original Zen. At first I was dissapointed but later I found out this scent is much better. Longer lasting and more fresh and tropical. Perfect perfume for a long summer night! I'm happy my mother made a mistake :). The original Zen isn't so great for me anymore, I tested the sample and within 30 minutes the scent is much less! It doesn't last long which I didn't expect. Also reminds me a bit of Mademoiselle but then more medicinal. Don't want the original anymore. So this edition is better!

Zen summer is a best summer fragrance. First this scent is powderly and fresh, but later become a sweet and exotic. Long lasting.

Today I finally catched up not empty bottle of Zen Summer and sprayed it on my inner elbow.
So it's really summery- green, citrusy and aquatc there- lotus + cedarwood is really prominent during middle note phase. It's quite similar to Light Blue on my skin. Very nice choice for summer, it calms. It's very woody- the cedarwood is in large amount here at least one me.
The bottle has white/gold color scheme and is nice and pretty heavy to hold in hands.
Lasting power is great and sillage as well- I sprayed it one time and it still is going on strong.
