Smell Bent launches a fun fragrance collection for the festive season of 2010. This time the themes of the compositions are based on comfort, warmth, smoothness and gentleness that provide the heat in those cold winter days.
The Bi-Polar Express is a soothing tonic of New Year's mania with notes of Roman, German and South African chamomile, honeycomb, blue tansy and smooth mahogany.
It is available as 8 ml perfume oil and 55 ml EDT. The nose behind this fragrance is Brent Leonesio.
I was very excited to try this chamomile/honeycomb creation so I promptly hopped online and ordered up an EDT sample pack. It arrived extremely quickly with a hand signed card from Brent and I happily sprayed Bi-Polar on immediately.
I must say *my* mood went bi-polar rather rapidly too from cheery to sad. Bi-Polar smells like wet hay and loose leaf chamomile flower heads. There is a little honey here but amazingly it does not smell sweet.
Blue tansy (another form of chamomile) is supposed to smell rather sweet too but this fragrance is pure herbal to me.
Perhaps the best way to describe it is if you brewed up some organic chamomile tea and then only put the tiniest drizzle of honey in it, enough to scent the water but not taste it. No doubt good for you but very bland.
Luckily the other samples I ordered smell rather exciting.
