i think it is both strange and heavy fragrance, i guess french perfumes are not my cup of tea :/
Actually it is not as sharp as some people say. It starts out really sharp, but quiets down in a bout 5-10 minutes. The cypress note kepps it toned down.
I am really enjoying it as a gym perfume!
strange smell, starts floral, soon enough getting spicy and wooden and ends up with a weird mix, reminding me of vegetable curry spices.
To me this smells very similar to Samba Natural by Perfumers Workshop. The top notes are very green and bitter, and like the others have said, it smells like celery. Then it becomes more floral and a bit on the sweet side. Now it is softer and kind of musky. I don't find this very strong, but then I didn't put a lot on. I have the mini splash on this and I find it hard to control the ammount I put on...either not enough or I end up dumping half the bottle on myself... Over all, it's merely ok. The little I put on didn't last 4 hours. If they had a neutral option I would have chosen that but instead I put it on my likes. I would probably not but this again. It was one I got in the mini club anyway. On a side note the bottle looks like a T-Shirt.
very bitter on me.it is citrusy ve full of cypress but not light, more masculen and harsh.very good sillage and longlasting.i think bearable for men too.
What a great refreshing citrusy fragrance! I has this cypress note which I really love in Montana Blu and which makes the composition really stand out among others withing the family. Perfect for sports and hot summer days!
AMAZING sharp harsh citruses with abrasive woody edge. And it has no pepper (a miracle for this type of frags)
This is so great, can't believe! Amazing for the right sharp mood.
Suitable for both sexes, but it's much more on the masculine side, I think.
L'EAU DE SONIA RYKIEL is one of the strangest compositions I've ever encountered. I see the negative reviews involve a lot of complaints about dashed expectations. I think that the way to approach this fragrance is to leap out of the box and ask: What is it, exactly, that I smell?
The answer to my nose is clear: celery. Yes, the mystery "green leaves" were stripped from a stalk of celery! So, with that in mind, is the fragrance pleasant? I do wholeheartedly concur that this is not predominantly a citrus frag, so those who are looking specifically for heavy bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, orange, etc., may be disappointed. But going against the grain, I am finding this bizarre celery aromatic quite refreshing!
I also agree with other reviewers that this opens as an entirely unisex scent. Nothing flowery or sweet at all, and the aromatic quality of the celery seed (also included!) moves this closer to the men's category, I think. However, the drydown, against all expectations, ends up being quite creamy, with surprisingly voluminous sillage.
I'll be wearing this come summer and am hoping that the celery leaves won't wilt! For now, L'EAU DE SONIA RYKIEL will take its place next to my other two SR t-shirt bottles. I find the contents of all three to be casual, wearable fragrances, truly in the spirit of soft, colorful, pima cotton t-shirts! The boxes, too, are so attractive that I can't bring myself to toss them. Seriously.
Wow I bought a mini sample in ebay and i really don't like it. Not fresh or citrusy at all. Smells more like cheap soap
It was one of my first parfumes. For me it smelt just like watermelon rinds :) fresh scent
This is really fresh and lovely.
All her perfumes are beautiful.
This has been my first perfume. To my opinion, it´s quite fresh, but with a certain calming effect. I can´t find any citrus notes in it, too.
i agree this can be a unisex fragrance for it have a harsh drydown that can be smell in a man's cologne..though this have a strong masculine smell, its still a nice fresh fragrance with long lasting power...
I think Sonia Rykiel T-shirt series have something in common.they all seem to have some spicy notes mixed with strong citruses.in fact you can find loads of citruses in all Rykiel perfumes, just look at Hot,belle and rykiel homme.
by the way this one is a pure citruses perfume at least at the first 10 minutes.
it starts with strong sour notes of lemon mixed with green notes.there's nothing more than citrus and alcohol.there isn't anything sweet, nor floral.it can even be considered as a unisex fragrance.specially since I can smell something spicy too.
but when it comes to it becomes milder.still there are some spicy notes that I can't recognize are came from where, but the lemon is all gone.surprisingly I smell something creamy now, something fruity and sweet at the same time.I think it can be the impression of peach and heliotrope.I love the middle notes!though I have seen it in so many other perfumes, this one is unique, because it starts with strong fresh citruses notes that can be called masculine and it ends with a nice creamy scent that is definitely feminine.I can describe the middle notes as a creamy pineapple, which is both fresh and warm.
though most of citrus scents are not very long lasting, this one lasts well and I can see the reason.it has musk, amber and cedar as the base notes and all of them are well for longing the effect of a perfume.
this is a good perfume that wasn't very successful at the time it released and now it's very hard to find it in stores and most of people go for something more popular than this with the similar smelling, maybe something like Davidoff perfumes.
This is a light floral fragrance. I do not smell citus. It is unique maybe it is the lotus flower. It smells dreamy.
It should be citrussy but no; it has an oily middle note ingredient and i didn't have discovered that!
