Fireside Intense is another smoky woody fragrance that reminds us of the scent of an outdoorsy campfire, more aggressive and strong than Fireside, opens with smoky leather and rich agarwood.
fragrance notes: guaiacwood, nagarmotha (Cyperus), Texas cedar, Himalayan cedar, Indian sandalwood, agarwood, birch tar, cade, leather, oakmoss absolute, castoreum, ambergris. The fragrance is available in EDP 17 and 34ml.
Fireside Intense was launched in 2007. The nose behind this fragrance is Laurie Erickson.
Another beefy cedar scent, Sonoma Scent Studio FIRESIDE INTENSE also features a dark leather note which helps to temper the smoky wood to some extent. The oakmoss is difficult for me to detect because of the darkness of the wood and leather notes, but perhaps it smooths out the composition somewhat, since I do like this perfume more than some of the SSS beefy cedars. Still, I do feel that I could live without a full bottle, since I don't really like this cedar note, which is clearly an acquired taste I have yet to acquire! Désolée.
Wow. Before you even open the baggie that contains this scent, you can smell it. It is, uh, intense, and it definitely smells like a roaring fire -- sooty, smoky, burning woodsy. Once applied to the skin, there’s a few moments where the scent adjusts to your chemistry, but after that it radiates that bonfire scent like it does before application. Initially, if you smell your wrists, you’ll smell something plasticky and the resinous amber base at first, but it scarcely matters because you’re bathed all the olfactory experience of a fire. You even get that ashy tickle in the back of your throat. In short, if you've ever been somewhere that is being threatened by wildfire, this scent smells exactly like that.
After a while, the fire smell deepens and mellows, and becomes a lot more cozy -- softer, not as acrid and biting. It's like the fire has receeded to a gentle hiss with a few crackles and you're snuggled up luxuriously with someone you love. This is probably the
effect of the base coming out, but it's a different amber than in Amber Noir, from the same house -- or perhaps it blends better with the smokiness. It's a warm, full-bodied kind of amber. It doesn't make me nauseous.
This is an interesting scent. I can't say that I'd like to smell like this, especially after my town was subsumed in wildfire smoke for weeks this year. The middle-to-end stage I could see someone else wearing, especially if it was sweetened up a bit. That might make quite a seductive scent.
Here she comes wearing her bomber leather jacket, black high heels and chains on her neck. She is fierce creature and has guts so be aware of her.
I was so sceptic about this perfume, I thought I will not like it, but the smokey creaminess took me over. It is beautiful. Cosy and apealing, but just enough different to be noticed.
Wow, this is a campfire smokey scent that is nice. It may sound unapealing but it is rather very nice on. Different!! Very Smokey. I like this stuff..
