I am not a floral/fruity lover of perfume. That said, there are a few, such as Nina, that I find to be very comforting. Champagne Sugar is one of those, and you cannot beat the price...and it isn't immature. Fresh, fun, and pretty.
This is a lovely sweet scent, but not cloying (I actually disagree with the description that says 'rich'). I find it to be like a sweet watery scent, it's very fun and flirty, certainly not a mature or sohpisticated scent, but just something cute and playful, and as some might like to say 'tweeny' (although i don't say this in a bad way - i am 30 and happily wear this). The sugar and candied fruits are well balanced with a hint of ginger and the slight fizzy champagne scent. To be honest, if you are looking for champagne this would probably disappoint as it is not really noticeable eg, you don't sniff this and immediately think champagne. It's more like a strawberry lemonade. Anyway I like it.
(This is regarding the roll-on oil.)
Very bright, very pleasant--an ideal travel scent since it drops in a purse, is mildly moisturizing and is liked by almost everybody. This is a sweet fruity scent whose predominant note is concord grapes with some sweet red berry underneath it. A clever trick is done with ginger being used to replace the alcohol tang of real champagne--this also makes the sweetness more grown up. Quite linear but it's pleasant enough for that not to be a complaint. This is definitely fairly casual, made for wearing on a sunny breezy day and will probably cheer you up whenever you smell it.
Sillage: close, 2-4 feet depending on the amount worn
Durability: 5-7 hours
Fabulosity: raspberries off the bush
Price to value ratio: reasonable; look for sales

==I've just spent an hour trying to determine what if anything sugar actually smells like. I started with my nose in a sugar jar--no smell. More thinking led to the conclusion that, in cooking, sugar's scent refers to caramel from heating sugar. My chemistry book told me that when sugar is heated aldehydes are converted to ketones, which are what we smell. It's interesting that aldehydes in perfume are powerful while aldehydes in sugar are scentless.
