Tallulah is a nice tuberose and jasmine scent. It's a fairly light fragrance and I think tuberose is the strongest note in there directly followed by jasmine. I cannot detect the incense or the cedar, which is actually too bad. I was just looking forward to the incense and cedar mixed with tuberose and jasmin. In the opening is however a nice presence of bergamot noticable. Since there is no sweetness or coziness in this fragrance and because of it's freshness it is probably best for spring and summertime (imho).
"Tallulah" opens with a squeaky-dry citrus note, that's smoothed over with the dry, gently mustiness of tuberose. The combination is fresh but warm, with the silk stockings, tulle-like quality of waxy, fresh tuberose, balancing the sweetness of the citrus. The citrus is a sweet, heady kind of blend, that reminds me of a combination between neroli, mandarin with a hint of apple-like chamomile.
As the tuberose deepens, into dusky, skinmusk territory, a fresh, lush jasmine note emerges; this is no sanitized, candy jasmine, but a fleshy, indole saturated jasmine, that manages to never enter dirty or grungy territory, while maintaining a distinctly carnal appeal. "Tallulah" is everything white floral lovers look for -- that dense, lily freshness of jasmine, so distinct it's almost piercing in it's intensity, while never feeling overripe or musty. In drydown, a grassy note mixed with something strongly resembling the clove sweetness of ylang-ylang appears, and some gentle, cedar woods temper the greenness.
"Tallulah" is for those who love golden, musky, densely lush jasmine, gardenia and tuberose, but often have a hard time of finding how to translate those notes into blends that can crossover from errand-running and office work, into the boudoir of seduction. "Tallulah" is that missing link, that manages to seem appropriate for both occasions. Also, "Tallulah Jane" is a brand and company ardently committed to green, clean, ethical production and maintaining their cruelty-free status.
