i tried this today...it's my brother's birthday and i wanted to get him a new perfume.so i tried this at first and wasn't interested in it at all...but when i got the first sniff it really got my attention!!!! amazing cinnamon openning and vanilla(i do smell vanilla from the top note to the bottom!!!)he loved it
I'm really excited for this perfum, this brand is a legend also like Azzaro, the problem is that i can´t find, some knows where i can buy it, thanks.
I tested this juice yesterday and my initial impression was very confusing. At first, my nose detected something that I have smelt before, like some mainstream fragrance with a lot of neroli and orange blossom. Then, my mind brought the image that I was looking for: a cross between One Million by Paco Rabbane and Altamir by Ted Lapidus.
If you see the notes breakdown of One Million, ALtamir and Black Soul, you can see the relation between this three scents: woods, spices and florals.
In my point of view, Black Soul is more in the floral-spicy side of the street beacuse of the big accent in flowers like neroli and orange blossom and in spices like cinnamon and cardamom.
At the initial spray, you got the same "sweet bubblegum" smell of One Million, but this top notes fades very quickly (1 hour max). Then you got a lot of neroli, orange blossom and some resins (tolu balsam?). A very flowery heart mixed with cardamom, a bit of cinnamon and some resins. This stage is very sweet, tasty and projects like a beast for 2 or 3 hours. Then, at the base, it seems like all the resins, spices and other notes were faded away, leaving you with a blast of sweet neroli with musk. Sadly, no prominent woods were detected to balance that sweet mess.
What surprised me of the drydown of Black Soul is the fact that smell the same way as the opening of Altamir (same "übersweet" neroli smell), so if you are a man, and you love neroli and your favorite fragrance are Altamir by Ted Lapidus or Fleur Du Male by Jean Paul Gaultier or any unisex frag, this is for you.
About the comparison with One Million, I say yes, but just the opening of both are alike. The rest of Black Soul is just the "Lapidus trademark".
Projection: Great!
Sillage: Awesome
Longevity 9-10 hours +
Recommended for young and mature crowd that are into "flowery-spicy/unisex" fragrances.
8/10
a more mature version spicy of 1 Million with the same intensity and longevity.
You think it smells like 1 million exactly until you test them side by side, Black Soul has deeper spice.
This perfume is identical to 1 Million by Paco Rabbanne. What a lack of originality....
Great fragance. There´s not other with this spiritual soul.
Congratulations TL
Felicitaciones TL
hm... at first, i didn t like it at all...i really couldn t stand an minty part...but now i must admit, this is interesting one...hm,, like spicy, little minty 1 million,,, and i love 1 million,,hm, now i started to like this one too
I will like to join and be the company of this fragrance Ted Lapidus, as i am utilising this cologne in every occation that i am attending and please note me as lapidus fannectic.
Many mention similarities to 1 Million, but I cannot get points in common between these two. 1 Million is sweet, Black Soul is spicy: the top notes are not that original though, they smell like the ones found in many recent releases, but the mid and base notes make all the difference: the spicyness is remarkable, pungent and the same time powdery, with an interesting note that I can describe as remotely similar to that of aged paper. Longevity as well as sillage are remarkable. Def, one to be bought in the near future.
its similar to 1 million in its mid notes and dry down. but it has got more bubble gum like feel. it is heavy rich an dark. good silage and longevity. not a unique fragrance but a nice one.
i give it 6 out of 10.
1 Million without the bubble gum, tutti-frutti opening.
I Kinda like it very much and have a great sillage and longevity!

My boyfriend showed me this fragrance today. He has worn ted lapidus altamir before so he tried this new fragrance. The top notes were quite strong however after a few minutes it settled down to a beautiful musk. The smell lasted hours and hours on him so we decided to buy this one!
What an amazing fragrance this is! Its opening is heavy with spice and wood. At first there is a sharp, camphorous, aromatic quality, not unlike cloves or pepper - which I find most appealing.
The woodiness which is almost smoky at first, makes me think of Lapsang Souchong tea or a handful of smouldering pencil shavings. I once owned a bamboo flute, which had been burnt inside as part of its manufacture and which had the same kind of smell.
The complex combination of spices and woods make this very warm, intense and frankly, most unusual. As the fragrance develops and the woods and spices start to fade the musk becomes more obvious, yet only in a subtle way. It lasts quite well and a single tiny spritz from a tester was still detectable on my arm after two hours.
It is very different to any fragrance I currently own and I will definitely add it to my wish list.
I tested this fragance today. Obviously this one was created for the night. The opening is dark and beautiful, and after 30 minutes developes a strong warm scent with the mint as a dominant spice.
