Ted Lapidus Envol was launched in 1981. Envol means "flight" in French. "I gave it that light name, spacious and airy, because it is the perfume of space, of night and time,” Ted Lapidus.
The perfume was created by Roger Pellegrino modeled on the eponymous Lancome perfume from the 50s. Envol is a green scent enriched with notes of flowers (roses and jasmine) and fruits and the dry background of woods, musk, amber and earthy tones. Available as pure perfume, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum.
My mother had a bottle of Envol in the 80's. At that time I though it was a great fragrance. Once it was over we could never buy another one. It' s a pitty; I think it was pretty special ; an unforgettable fragrance for me.
I'm sad that it is discontinued ! I can't forget this scent since I was a kid !!!! This is almost a tragedy ! Why.. why.. why they discontinued it? So many people just miss it ! It's not cheesy, not stinky as some 'seductive" floral spicy perfumes. It's just dreamy like a poem with heights, winds, smell of freedom of mind. very awakening and inspiring and special perfume to me
Is it possible this one to be the perfume L’Envoi from the Stephen King’s book Langoliers ?
