TL Pour Lui by Ted Lapidus

I have really liked the few Ted Lapidus fragrances I have tried so far and this is no exception.

The opening is unusual the lavender gives an aromatic quality - as lemale75 says, like camphor, but this quickly dissipates. The mint I just don't smell, I imagine that it combines with the lavender and contributes to the camphorous start. The orange blossom is fleeting but sweetness and woodiness remain after the more transient top notes are gone.

It is at this point where the fragrance is at its best. Cedar, vanilla and woods combine seamlessly to give this a sweet warm heart (it's not as warm as something like Dunhill Desire or Xeryus Rouge). It is sweet without being sickly.

There are no spices listed as ingredients (unless you count vanilla as a spice)but one could be tempted to think there were some in the mix. The vanilla works with the aromatic woods to give the effect of an almost culinary spiciness.

Towards the end, this becomes a more sedate musky woody fragrance, which is still enjoyable. It lasts fairly well and has reasonable sillage.

it seems like a modern version of ted lapidus pour homme vanilla takes the lead right here along with a strange note that smells like camphor, orange blossom just stays for a joyful oppening, as for the previous review,let me say that is wrong; Eternity is a Fresh Aromatic Fougere while this is among Orientals. I can compare this to: Pi, Le Male, Obsession (maybe just a little), and like i said before the traditional Ted Lapidus. A great longlasting fragrance

I bought this because it was on sale. It is very good actually but, although I normaly prefer rather sweet perfumes, the sweet in this one was too much for me. I dismissed it and gave it to my little brother and then I thought that it was maybe more apprepiate for my grandpa.
It reminds mew a lot of a Calvin Klein fragrance from the 90's and if my nose isn´t wrong, it is Eternity for men...
