There is a Roman proverb which says that you do not dispute about tastes... I read some opinions about Aegiptus and would like to add mine. Though it is not a perfume for men I like it and I think it is better than some branded and highly praised EDT.Why? It lasts much longer on my skin than most of them, it does not cost shamelessly too much so it is affordable always and I think it is a good representative of an oriental taste in perfume. Visit some oriental spice bazaar and thats more or less that-a mixture which sometimes make you dizzy and sometimes elevated, depends on how you feel. But in spite of that it always brings you to a distant exotic place full of pleasant surprises and adventure.

Aegyptus is pleasant as a soap or body cream, but not necessarily in the "profumi" version. The smell is both warm and fresh, delicately spicy and unisex in its appeal, with 3-4-hour longevity on skin and much longer on the clothes.
Unfortunately, this fragrance seems too synthetic and a bit nauseating as a result.
I used to enjoy Tesori d'Oriente offerings, but it seems I have outgrown them somehow. TdO stopped to satisfy my olfactory requirements when it comes to perfumes, I still enjoy their soaps, though.

Opposite experience as the previous reviewer!
I was initially attracted by the kitsch bottle and when I tested the perfume expecting for... mmm, Egypt coming out from spray?!? Well, no way! This was a real stinker in my book, because it's absolutely acrid and nauseous on my skin chemistry!
Notes are not listed specifically and Kyfi... well, come on! Kyfi was a secret and sacred scent of the past now gone!
It makes me more or less like L'Occitane Eau d'Iparie, which also smells terrible and acrid on my skin. Apparently I have a problem with incense.
A friend of mine was crazy about Aegyptus and it smelled much better on her! Still quite cheap drugstore, but a lot better than on me!

Been turned off for ages by the striking uglyness of the bottle so never even dared to try it (what a mistake)... until I recently got it as a present.
OMG! It's great! So pleasant and peculiar... it smells of.. not really sure how to define it.. the closest i can think of is -a bit of an oxymoron- "fresh spices". Opens a bit green and earthy like some sort of aromatic leaves..i imagine it as papyrus leaves soaked in the lime of the Nile... and then i smell the incense, mhyrr and other mixed spices. It's unique to me. The sillage is fine, could be better though..4-5 hours. The good thing is that the bottle is so light you can carry it in ur bag and reapply anytime. I guess this is by far my favourite Tesori... therefore the lesson is: don't judge a scent by its bottle! :P

Reminds me of a song -Ricky Martin-Vuelve

It is rather unisex, spicy... nice. Wish it wore more longlasting though.

This is very strong, a little bit masculine, very spicy, but creamy and warm. It's also long lasting and pretty special for me!
