My husband just bought this for me as pre- valentine gift together with Love ETC and and knowing he will not have the hussle of cracking his brains up to have to pick the right gift. I sprayed a little before we purchased it and allowed for it to grow on me for a while. I just found my daily casual fragrance which will definately be an alternative to one high end brands i wanted for daily wear. The good thing with this one is that it comes at a price that one can afford to splash it on evertime you feel the scent is fading. Yeeeeey, good buy for me this time especially since i find it hard picking fragrances that blow me away, this one just did!!!!
Beautiful, gorgeous rose scent. It is super feminine and romantic. I love it and it lasts a good amount of time. The bottle is beautiful and it looks like a vintage French bottle. The scent is rose without being old lady and it is not overpowering at all. Love it.
I don't normally like rose scents, but this one is different. It's a much sweeter rose without the sharpness of some rose based perfumes. Perfect for summer.
if the colour "dusty pink" has a scent, this would be it.
I get a blast of orange on first spray, and then this develops pretty quickly into a linear, soft rose scent. It's reasonably realistic-smelling for such an inexpensive perfume, but I don't think it's the most amazing rose scent out there. I smell NO spice or vanilla in this.
What I do smell, after the orange dissipates, is a soft and dusty rose. I get a hint of mimosa which makes the scent a hint powdery. I find this a little along the lines of the drydown of Issey Miyake L'Eau Florale, although I do prefer the latter. Ironically, I find that one zestier despite the fact that it does not have anything spicy in it. Moroccan Rose is not exotic or spicy. It is a delicate and old-fashioned type of rose scent.
I don't love the perfume enough to buy a bottle, but I did buy the body butter. It makes for a really lovely, delicate rose-scented moisturizer.
i have this, and i like it, but i rarely reach for it. i bought it hoping it would smell something like the long-discontinued Moroccan Rose bodycare line from Yves Rocher - and it doesn't, not even remotely (does anything?).
A simple, pretty rose scent ironically cleaner and fresher than dish-detergent-musk Stella, since it uses a woody-type base. Rosewater is supported by Lily and citrus in the heart. A very refreshing cologne style fragrance.
I have this in a body butter and shower gel. The price for the EDT is reasonable.
Sweet, candied rose for young girls, teenagers or early twenties. Nice, but I need a more mature rose.
I didn't spect much from this fragrance, i must admit because of the price which is really cheap but wow..i realy like it. For me it is a pretty realistic scent of roses, bit more of a green rose than a sweet mature rose. Cheap, soft, pleasant, pretty well done..what more do you want for 20 euros?!?!
Very nice rose scent, simple but elegant. Easy to wear but... however... the lasting power ... hmm not that good!
I'm not too big on TBS fragrances in general, and I wouldn't even have smelled this if it wasn't for the SA who basically shoved it in my face. But you know what? It actually smelt quite nice! The initial spray of the vanilla and lemon combo reminds me of some kind of cake my mom bakes sometimes. After about five seconds, this becomes pure floral. Its really not bad at all, would I repurchase and can I not live without it? Well... no... but does it make a nice interesting floral suitable for everyday wear? Yes.
A very simple scent of rose with a very very very subtle spice and a juicy watery quality of fruit, but it's not fruity. It's not complex nor changing around much. It's also easy to wear and easy to love.
Too spicy on initial spray but dries off to a nice subtle rose and musky smell.
This is really nice fragrance. I may have to go back to TJMaxx and get that shower gel.
Tested it today at the Body Shop and it was a pleasant surprise because I assumed that it would smell roses and nothing else. The rose is there but it´s not overwhelming as I thought. A nice fragrance with sweet musky undertones. The sad thing is that it disappeared from the skin within 3 hours. It is the only negative thing I have to say about it.
I loved that perfume. It has something peaceful and decent. And even though it seems that no one notices when you are wearing it, everybody recognises you in its scent. Adorable and Sweet!
I don't know why most of you hate this scent. I tried this stuff for the first time two days ago. It's actually a fresh, clean & innocent kind of smell. It's not IMHO a sexy kind of roses. It's polite, subtle & musky rose scent. I can't compare it of course to Bvlgari rose essencial or Lalique encre noire pour elle or YSL paris flankers cause these are scents of high class with my full respect to The Body Shop company. I can't say anything bad about this scent cause the taste can be personal & differnt from one person to another.
i like alot its very nice summer rose some sweet to but in the good way!!!really i like

I was pleasantly surprised by Moroccan Rose, expecting something harshly chemical (given the relatively cheap price). This is a light, sensual and summery rose. Sillage is good and you only need one spritz to last you a good few hours. I don't know if that has been discontinued, the Body Shop that I went to had lots of bottles on display!
This seems to be discontinued. At least I cannot find it anymore in the shops. I test-sprayed it several times and was in-between. On the one hand I found it to be a nice authentic rose scent, on the other hand also something like a faded rose came through - or do you know what I mean with "rosewater"? After your roses have faded you toss away the water and that's a bit of the smell it reminded me of.
The smell kind of grows on you.. The first sniff at the shop got me hooked. I really can't decide if i fully love this or not. I do miss it though.
This was a present from my in-laws, probably not something I would go out and buy myself, but in saying that I do like a rose perfume, which is why my in-laws bought it for me. This can be overpowering so use sparingly, but it is a lovely sweet not too rosey perfume. I love the cream, wear it by itself often when I am just going to the shops etc, has a lovely just bathed sort of smell.
This is really fresh and pleasant. Not cloying at all! Cannot help thinking what if the perfume house was not Body Shop but a famous niche one? To make it even worse, what if it was vintage niche perfume? Would the reviews- esp by the so called experts be the same? Somehow, I doubt it :-)
Spicy roses. Overpowering, overwhelming, and just too spicy. The drydown smelled like old gym socks. Thumbs down on this one.
I love it! It is silky smooth, fresh and creamy. Super charming!
I(as a newbie to fragrances) used to think rose perfumes were boring, oldschool and monotonous, and this one has proven me wrong.
I gave myself a try last week and, you know you can't smell anything properly in TBS, so I bought the showergel instead.
The showergel smells nice but the smell is very light and lasts for 1 or 2 minutes. That made me longing for the smell so I bought the perfume few days back.
I think I love this one because of the hint of citrus in it that hasdefinitely livened the perfume. The rose smells relatively light (than the traditional onoes) and makes me feel natural to wear in most occasions.
I love this! Well, I love the Body Butter more than the eau de toilette, but I love the eau de Toilette, too. I feel thsi smell fades too quickly. Like, it's only noticable if you're standing very, very close to someone. Yes, I did buy it for my mom! It's just so classic and beautiful!
I love this scent! It smells just like a fresh cut red rose....beautiful, fresh, romantic. My husband goes crazy over this stuff!
Very beautiful rose perfume. Not too rosy but it doesnt last long at all. The Body Shop product quality is crap these days... sad.
My sister has this and she put sprayed it on me one day. As mentioned, it has distinct rose smell throughout (top, middle and base notes all having rose ingedients). I used to think that rose perfumes smell cheesy and utterly common. This perfume changed my view to some extent as it has subtle and soft rosy smell which blends in fairly in your skin after few minutes.
This is a nice rose scent. If you prefer more of a sweet rose then this is not it. Try rose essentielle Bvlgari for that. I think of this as more of a night time scent although it can be worn during day time. This isn't an "old" rose scent either, so not something you'd smell on your granny but it does have a sour note in it maybe the lemon oil? It's not too bad as it does give a more fresh feel to the perfume. I don't really know how the moroccan rose smells like but as far as rose scent go this is one that you can differentiate without a trained perfume nose or not familiar with notes so if you prefer a more "subtle" rose scent this one may not be the one. It's rose dominant and there are other ones that may have a slight hint of it but with other florals surrounding it. I wear this after a shower to calm down after a day and it does have good lasting power considering I purchased the body mist.
This is light enough to wear to the office although I wouldn't since I can see how people may take an aversion to the sour tone in it which can sting your nose a bit if you don't apply sparinly. The scent stays linear on me but I don't know if that's the case for others. All I can say is that try it first like all other perfumes. Who knows? It may turn out divine on you!
Love it to piece, I used to have the eau du toilette of this fragrance and everyone commented on how good it smelt. Those of you saying it's too strong, go out and buy the eau du toilette! It's less strong and cheaper. It's distinctly rose, which so few perfumes are nowadays.
It is a spicy rose with morning fresh dew.
I have this body butter and I find it magnificent to match with many florals perfumes. I have worn the scent before and think it is quite nice but very similar to Stella. I would take my Stella over MRose anyday but it is a good buy for the price.
i try this perfume few month ago, but only now I have the intention to write a review about it. I love roses, they are romantic and symbol of love, femininity. However, I have a problem because I have bought few alike smell perfume. and their main ingredient is rose - SJP Lovely, Bvlgari Rose Essential, Annick Goutal Musc Nomade, and Narciso Rodriguez EDP. I'm worried to buy another roses scent because it might smell the same. I dont know how I cant recognise the similarities when I purchased them. Now I have to keep only one of them and I dont want to add another one.
However, it's a lovely smell and I love it.
I was longing for this edt, today I bought it. Now its on my wrinkle, smelling and smelling.. I'm thinking this is the best rose scent happy to be an owner of it.
This really smells EDT nearly identical to authentic roses. If you want to smell like a real bouquet of roses this is the ideal.
Tested it and bought it 2 days ago..If you like to smell like a rose, a natural one, then don't hesitate, this is the one.
I was looking for the perfect rose and i found it. Easy to wear than super thick rock and rose couture by valentino. This fragrance has memories for me.Last year i took only this scent on my trip to persia, and every time i take a sniff now it takes me back to those magical nights. Fountains with rose petals and candles floating while dining. The magical souks right out of Arabian nights, men puffing rose scented sheeshas. Rose sherbet venders calling their wares, long hot days sigh! Very exotic and a personal favourite.
Oh how I love tis one, I can't find white musk midnight iris, so I bought this cuz it's a best seller, first I don't like it much too "female" but after hours it become "musk" n even good. I wear this on my job interview n I got the job on the same day! Magic.. Hehehhe.. I looove tis edt!
I like this perfume but I think the combination of lemon and mimosa or lemon and rose is really pissing me off... so I won't buy it.
I really enjoyed this perfume.
It's a light, mostly rose-y smell. While it is not anything special, that's not always a bad thing. Sometimes you just want to smell like roses!
It lasts about 5 hours. At first it is very rose-y and flowery, but then it becomes a more subtle sweet rose smell.
To me, it also smells similar to Hollister's SOCAL (women version), but a less musky version.
This is a very light, soft and feminine fragrance. Very distinct rose smell. Perfect for younger women and for casual wear. I bought this after smelling it on one of my colleagues. It was starting to get a little common then as some of my female friends notice what i was wearing. However most compliments came from women rather than men. I like it and i bring it in my bag just in case i need to spritz some more - as it doesnt really last long...
It's a basic, pleasant, understated rose, not exciting, no real complexity. It's a "safe" rose. Has a nice sweetness to it. You get the rose most heavily at first spray. Then, it goes down to a gently sweet musky rose (for me, the spices were faint.) I actually like it better later in the day, when the vanilla comes out more. Just a touch of sourness, though, not sure if it's what happens with it on me or what the perfume is doing.
very pretty rosy whiff at first, but then it settles down into something sweet, which is probably the vanilla influence.. the cedar-musk-rose base would work better, for me anyway..
I was hoping to fall in love with this one (I would love to find an inexpensive rose scent). However, to me it smelled mostly like roses and musk. Not unpleasant, but nothing really sexy or special about it. It smells the way you would expect your room to smell if you were drying a bouquet of roses for a week.
I would wear this around the house. Nothing spectacular.
It is a real rose, mixed with a hint of orange and spices. Cannot detect vanilla in it, there is a tiny bit of sweetness maybe because of it. I liked this fragrance since I first smelled it in the shop and I am happy to add such a lovely rosy smell to my collection. Also it has a vintage touch. Not a fresh summer floral, I find it mature. I like it.
I think this perfume is the perfect mix of sweet, femine notes with more sophisticated, almost woody ones. Definately one of the best I've smelled in a while! Just make sure you wear it for more than a few minutes before buying it...the smell changes a bit!
I love rose perfumes, as long as they are not powdery or grandma-like. This one is very nice, but the rosiness is only detectable on first spray. After that, other notes come in. I smell something orange but soft. Very pleasant, but not solely rosy.
I'm really not into floral perfumes, but I really like Moroccan Rose. I think I actually like it more because I was expecting to hate it. As well as the rose I get lovely, vanilla spicy scents that linger for a long time, as well as the smell of something pleasant and indefinable from childhood that really lifts me through the day. I'm wearing this through the winter as it helps keep me feeling feminine and cosy. I think this might be my gateway perfume into appreciation of floral fragrances. Definitely worth a try, especially as it's so reasonably priced.
i just bought this fragrance today, and i really enjoy the notes, and , yes it is very rosie, but i can still smell the other notes. A fresh young scent on me
roses, roses and more roses...nothing but the roses. doesnt last very long too
I thought this was a pretty straightforward rose with a tinge of fruity sweetness. I did not get any spiciness from it at all. It was pretty linear on me and had completely disappeared within an hour. Not a bad rose scent imo (I don't like really musky or powdery roses), but nothing to get excited about.
its lovely!
Despite the previous comments, I really liked this perfume. I normally avoid rose-based perfumes like the plague because they remind me of an old woman's fragrance, and they don't really have much warmth or depth. Moroccan Rose is different.. it has such warmth to it thanks to the spices and vanilla, and is much more enjoyable to smell. It's great for summer and definately has a romantic side..
It is one of the most boring flooral fragrances ever made... Rose is so widely used in cosmetics nowadays, that it is not enough to add some vanilla to make it memorable and distinctive. I think I must have smelled it at least hundreds of times before. A shame, since TBS managed to come out with quite a few ineresting fragrances.
I enjoy many of The Body Shop fragrances, however this one I found overpowering; the mix of citrus, vanilla and rose clashed for me rather than blending together. Initially I smelled strong old roses then harsh lemon. Preferably, for me floral fragrances need to be soft and a little sweet; if mixed with citrus more orange than lemon. If you wish to try a floral mixed with citrus try the absolutely gorgeously feminine Bal a Versailles!
