Simple, Serene and Pleasant. Even my old smell-intolerant dad LOVES it. Neroli Jasmine is soft but hearty. Its like lounging on a breezy tropical beach surrounded by the aroma of exotic plants and flowers.
I get the familiar smell of leaves and branches, which I love. While the pretty flowers do most of the talking, its the leafy and woody aroma that really makes this frangrance luscious and whole for me. And the vanilla is minimal which is really nice (but volume goes up a little as it dries).
I wear this mostly for my own enjoyment, as it stays close to the skin. I'd say, this is an intimate and casual scent that's very relaxing. It stays 4 hours or so on my skin and hair.
Definitely one of the body shop's best today. (Especially since the tragic L'Oreal takeover). The whole set is affordable and worth buying too.
@Trsitana : I find Neroli Jasmine a tiny bit similar to Van cleef & Arpels Birmane. NJ being more floral.
TBS Neroli Jasmine is a tender, warmer and much less expensive version of Pure Poison. The sillage is low (atleast for the oil, which is meant to be a skin scent anyway), and lasting power is on the poor side, but the price is nice and you can layer the lotion, EDT, shower gel and other products in this range to prolong the staying power...I use the body lotion after my morning shower, after that dab the perfume oil on my pulse points and between cleavage, and lastly I would lightly spray the EDT on my clothes and hair...the scent would last atleast 5-6 hours that way...and if you need to touch up after that, the perfume oil and EDT come in purse-friendly sizes for you to carry around. Difference between oil and EDT: the oil is warmer, soapy and 'cozier'...while the EDT is fresher and slightly sweeter. Very romantic and light orange-y jasmine scent that can never be over-powering. Someone mentioned Boss's Deep Red as smelling similar, I love Deep Red, they share similar orange-y notes for sure, but this is innocently sensual while Deep Red has more sass.
I like the idea of perfume oil. Neroli Jasmin was the first one from TBS that I tried.
I was thinking that it would make my skin oily, but it doesn't! It's very gentle, without screaming "I'm wearing a perfume!". It moisturises your skin, making it very soft.
The lasting power is amazing, and I was surprised because it is cheap. The only problem is that the sillage is very poor, I think it's because is alcohol-free. But it is very nice for wearing at home, when you just want to enjoy the perfume for yourself. Perfume oils are definitely a better choice than EDTs and EDPs from TBS, which unfortunately don't last.
I don't know about other scents, but I found Neroli Jasmin quite linear, and the scent doesn't change. It is very creamy, like Love ETC, another one from TBS. The jasmin is very shy, but I agree it remids a little bit of Pure Poison from Dior, which also has jasmin in its composition. Think about Pure Poison but more soft, delicate and comfortable.
I'm sure I'll try another perfume oils!
It's a little headache inducing... At first it smelled nice but after a while i picked some 'cat pee note' ... :( Does remind of Pure Poison, they both are super sweet but not in a ver nice way, at least on me.
This is very nice casual feminine fragrance))i think i wanna have bubble bath with this scent as well. I like oil more than EDT version. I recommend to try this for jasmine lovers!
OMG this is the best perfume i ever got..
i'm not really like perfume.. most of perfume have this strong smell at 1st but then, when it fade, the smell is juz so wrong.. i juz feel like i wanna take a bath so i can get rid of the smell..
but neroli jasmin really change my attitude towards perfume.. i'm glad i meet her..
i prefer the edt compare to oil.. edt smell strong n sharp at 1st n it fade to a really sweet smell.. but the oil, is not so strong.. the smell is juz not s good s edt i think.. edt smell last long i tell u..
it make me feel like a strong faminine but yet sweet n sexy.. it makes me wanna smell over n over again.. hehe
Tristana,
I think TBS'd Neroli and Jasmone perfume ois smells very similar to Dior's Pure Poison
This one smells really bad to me. I don't know what it is. Maybe the Neroli? It reminds me of a wet dog...just nasty.
This is up there in my lst of fave TBS scents, although it took me a while to discover it, its warm fruity floral oriental, while being soft enough to wear to bed (thats where I wear it), just luscious!
smells a bit like hugo boss deep red
I had the bubble bath and it left a sweet, warm smell on my skin so I bought the perfume oil, but I found that the jasmine scent quickly came to the surface and was the only thing really noticeable about it.
I wear it on the bed time lol~
very warm :)
anyway it's not the scent of summer.
One of TBS's finest (others are White Musk, Woody Sandalwood and Oceanus :). I love jasmine, and this fragrance is just beautiful...I have the oil version...it's feminine and delicate but also warm and cozy...when first applied on the skin, it is citrusy and not very appealing to me, but 15minutes later I get the most gorgeous bouquet of orange blossoms and jasmine with a touch of seductive musk and the glow of warm amber surrounding it...heavenly...the sillage is minimal and it stays close to the skin, so you can't offend anyone with this delicate scent, but the lasting power of the perfume is great considering its price...lasted 6 hours on me before having to reapply.
This is going to be among my top favorites for many years to come, especially since the price makes it such a steal! This is definitely a great scent to have around when you don't feel like using your more expensive perfumes :D It's very versatile too, and great not just for everyday wear, but also for those romantic moments with a special someone. This is definitely the kind of scent that makes him want to come closer to get a better sniff ;) It's the kind of scent that's quietly sexy and glows with sensuality without trying, very effortless and comfy.
Looking forward to getting the body lotion and shower gel, that way I can layer it and have the scent last even longer on me.
Love this one. Does anyone know a designer perfume which is similar to Neroli Jasmin of the Body Shop?
If you happen to know both the perfume oil and the EDT version of this, can you tell what are the differences between them? Thanks, Halvah
I think this is the best of body shops perfumes.
First it smells very oriental, and little sharp, but after a while it dries down on me very warm and stunning (maybe even little fresh). My boyfriend said he smelled apples in it, though there isn´t any..
Only minus is that it doesn´t last very long time on skin..
