Zinzibar by The Body Shop is a fragrance for women. Zinzibar was launched in 2004. Top notes are lime, ginger, bergamot and tangerine; middle notes are ginger, pepper, freesia and cardamom; base notes are sandalwood and cedar.

The Body Shop ZINZIBAR is a bright and refreshing, somewhat peppery aromatic fragrance that seems to be intended for men or as unisex, given the characteristic notes present.

Although ZINZIBAR has a bit of a bracing quality upon initial spritz, the edt is relatively shortlived, making this seem more like a cologne to me. The clean citrus and ginger are brisk and invigorating but evaporate in a flash.

I recommend this fragrance for men and women to use on hot summer days. It definitely has a cooling and rejuvenating effect, in addition to smelling pleasant and fresh.

I like ginger in small doses, it adds personality to a fragrance...but this is just too much ginger...infact ginger is all I can smell in this scent. I actually sneezed when the SA spritz some on for me to smell. Definitely not for me.

i just bought it, afterwards found out that it's discontinued - really a pitty since it is so nice. maybe not for everyone- it is light, subtle, uncomplicated - but has such great longvity and body.
it is energizing but without being citrusy. it is not so spicy as it seems more aromatic. but at the same time it becomes more freesia woody without loosing the aromatic feel...the pepper is not prominent to my nose. whereas the subtle ginger is just great. i will buy again since it is a great choice for summer...for both gender btw

This is a great, simple and inexpensive perfume I've enjoyed for a long time. I don't believe The Body Shop sells it any more, but it is still available on eBay quite inexpensively. The ginger-lime pairing is crisp and spicy without any hint of being foodlike. One of my favorite bargain perfumes.
