Ex Libris is an ancient story with notes of fig leaf, magnolia, bronzed musk and cardamom. It is available as 30 ml perfume. Ex Libris was launched during the 2000's. The nose behind this fragrance is Margot Elena.
I was disappointed with this fragrance. I saw it contains notes of cardamom, but it certainly doesn't smell like it. It smells like 50/50 citrus and fig leaf. I don't smell magnolia or musk either. It's not a bad fragrance, but it's nothing like the notes imply. Test before you buy.
A milky, smokey, vanilla leather something or other, last about 4 hours on me. I find this scent very comforting.
A silky bonfire on my skin. Love.
I was really hanging out for this, hoping to get a musty, dusty old book smell, but couldn't get it from America, all out of stock. To my delight I found a super expensive boutique in Melbourne which had it so I paid waaaay more than I really should have and got it. Of course, I was disappointed. The magnolia and cardamom were quite prominent, and the other two notes did not make an appearance. It lasted only a couple of hours max. on my skin, and did not go through any sort of dry-down, just stayed the same. It is a pleasant but non-descript perfume with nothing that grabs you. I can really only give it a 4/10.
