Waltz No.14 by Tokyo Milk Parfumarie Curiosite is a Floral fragrance for women and men. The fragrance features lime (linden) blossom, tincture of rose, wisteria and musk.
(reviewed on 4.29.11) Spring has officially sprung in the greater metropolitan Boston area: the trees which envelop my third-floor apartment on all sides finally burst their green buds to reveal leaves, and the cherry blossoms appear to have arrived at the very same instant, brilliantly white, outside the window in my bedroom closest to my bed. Beauty abounds! The sky was cerulean blue with not a cloud in the sky when I set out this morning (well, my morning...) to buy a slew of leafy greens and other scrumptious produce from the ultimate grocery store, which I refer to affectionately as The Basket. And as though specifically designed to make this day picture perfect, I was wearing Tokyo Milk WALTZ (no. 14), a lovely floral perfume which is basically synonymous with spring in a bottle!
Linden blossom, wisteria, and rose mingle together in this pretty big floral fragrance (not quite a BFF, but close...). I love linden blossom, so the very fact that it is so dominant in this composition naturally brings a smile to my face. What I didn't know is that I actually like wisteria, which I have not fully appreciated in some of the other perfumes in which it figures that I've hand a chance to try. But linden blossom is definitely the star of the show in WALTZ, a veritable dance of floral notes totally evocative of spring.
I was the lucky winner of this bottle in Janudy's contest some time ago—and a happy one as well! Anyone who likes linden should give this perfume a try. It reminds me somewhat of Bond no 9 FASHION AVENUE, although here wisteria replaces the mimosa. But both boast a hefty does of linden and are super nice and uplifting floral perfumes. WALTZ might be a touch more innocent and casual, and a bit less perfume-y, but it's quite nice in its own way. Floral lovers rejoice!
This is a clean, delicate, refreshing floral. I hesitated to try it at first because I already have a sweet-rose-and-something fragrance, but this is a a bit of a departure from that vein mostly due to the linden. It has a crisp, cool, almost clean-cotton kind of scent to it, which is accented by the white musk at the base. The sweetness of the rose and wisteria kind of play around that, and to my mind it's a nice balance. Probably best for younger women as it's still very sweet, but there's enough polish to it that I can wear it to the office.
