The first Tom Ford fragrance for men is based on rather rare perfume component – cypriol. Cypriol is a plant similar to papyrus, native to India. Its root is usually used for production of oil. In perfumery cypriol is used in base notes because of its good fixative properties, and it possesses a forest-like fragrance note. It is believed that Cypriol brings men success in love adventures.
Tom Ford for Men promises to be very sensual fragrance, just like everything touched by Tom Ford. The composition opens with citrus notes of petit grain, bergamot and mandarin enriched with spicy-aromatic accords of basil, violet leaves and ginger. The heart is built of Tunisian orange blossom absolute, black pepper, tobacco leaves absolute and Moroccan grapefruit blossom. The opulent sensual base is composed of amber, cedar wood, patchouli, vetiver, and oak moss with leather accords and cypriol.
The fragrance comes in 50ml and 100 ml bottles similar like the one of Black Orchid.

I think this is an excellent cologne for the office or even for a date. It is manly without being at all overpowering (assuming you don't take a shower in it). It has very good longevity (at least 5 hours on me). It is a nice mix between sweet and musky without being too much either way. It makes me think the wearer is confident without being over-bearing, yet also carefree. This man is at ease with himself and does not have to put up airs to impress others, yet still gets noticed. This would be for men mid/late twenties and up. Likely, this cologne will not WOW the ladies, but it won't drive them away either. It's a good cologne. Easy to wear.

The other day at the gym, I was giving a friend some different samples of fragrances. This was one of them. My friend asked me what I thought about it. I told him it was okay, it reminded me of something I already have in my collection. The fragrance it reminded me was, Creed: Acier Aluminium.
I have only tried Tom Ford for Men only once. To be able to give this fragrance a true review, I will give it the three test I give all fragrance before making my final conclusion of the scent.
