Thumbs (both of them) DOWN, like someone else said, very generic, plastic and i have to add...CHEAP we all know its cheap but it doesnt have to smell cheap too, there are many other edc same cheapies but far better, a waste of money, now i cant even spray it over my furniture or carpet because it gives me headache.

Very nice; peppercorn, coriander seed, cinnamon over a base of cedar and olibanum- I think. And myrrh. Musk? Not sure, because it's very light if it is there, and blends well.

I really wanted this when i sampled. it's Spicy, clearly a pepper note over the sweet spice. Almost cinnamon like. Obvious sweet Amber ginger reveals itself at the end. Great for daily wear. Kinda reminds me of Hugo Boss Soul in its pepperyness, which does generate multiple compliments.

I don't really enjoy this one. Ends up generic and a little plastic, not really pleasant for me.

This is overwhelmingly spicy on both my own and my fiance's skin chemistry. Way too much pepper and coriander.

Have you ever observed something shiny on the ocean surface? This perfume is that moment you dive into the water to figure out the object.
This is a masterpiece which exactly smells like shaved pencil but the pencil was put into some herbal syrups!
Opens with salty and semi-gourmand extremely chilly and freshening mood and continues it in a linear style. Whole the scent is so matured and well-balanced. Nothing exaggerated or bold makes it hard to discern the notes, but focusing on undertones you extract dry coriander blended with sourest lime out.
It's so cool and freshening proper for tropical vacations and Latin American countries! Imagine yourself in Cuba suited in a loose coat with white hat holding a long thick cigarette by your teeth and a gold necklace shines on your dark skin while you're dancing salsa and your shoes knock on the ground!
It's easily wearable and highly recognizable. Something that can be a signature as well but not for cold weather; only summer or maybe late spring.
For the opening and middle it's immensely casual but for the base can be official too. Because it turns deeper and deeply smoky and lose its sillage power but stays strongly close to skin so no one won't focus on.
By the way, it's too near to Amouage Epic men but sourer and deeper and less smoky; just same quality of vetiver.

longevity 9/10
sillage 7/10
scent 10/10

I blind bought this today at Ross for 13.99 for the 3.4 oz, what a bargain! I've been searching for weeks for something to get that's versatile for a college student, and this is it. Definitely the most masculine cologne I have. Reminds me a little bit of the classic Polo but aimed at a younger crowd, I'd say age range 20-30s. It opens up spicy with a vibrant rum and cigar feel to it. It's a pretty sharp fragrance so projection and sillage are pretty great. Kudos to Tommy Bahama!

I totally agreed with some of the reviews written here that it is very much similar to Dirty English, a only difference is that Dirty English has got more tobacco notes while this one has got more light woody notes in the dry down, Tommy Bahama give a more casual and cooler feelings, but overall it is a good fragrance. i have little issues about its longevity and silage which is not as good as Dirty English i think so! I also like the packaging and the bottle the best part is its cap which is really classic.
I give it 7.5 out of 10.

I love this scent. It evolves subtly. And there are SO MANY notes. Some that are there and some that are imagined. I smell brown sugar, cocoanut, cinnamon and other notes that arent physically there.

And dont be fooled by the dark bottle, it is definently a summer smell more than a winter smell. I will wear it year round.

it is very much like a Dirty English (after it drys down), but its more summery kinda feeling to me. It also has more pepper and ginger in the opening (ALOT OF GINGER AND PEPPER). Also to be noted is that the 3.4 ounce of TB is 20 dollars at your ross or marshalls while the DE 1.7 is around that price too...I prefer Dirty english because TB's opening is just too strong for me..but if you are shopping around its just something to think about if your strapped for cash

I think that Tommy Bahama- Tommy Bahama for Men, Juicy Couture- Dirty English, and Gucci- Gucci Pour Homme I are very very similar scents. My nose is not very trained yet, but I think I am not totally wrong here...
I dont think any of those I mentioned here suits teenagers. 25, maybe even 30 years and up...

OK, when I first smelled this I said good lord!!!! It was a strong hint of rum that came out of the bottle & smacked me dead in my face! I also got some weird other dark smell of some substance. But then this grew on me. ALOT! SO much that I bought me some & will be wearing it as part of my fall maybe winter fragrance! GREAT JOB! The best of the Tommy Bahama lineup!

A great signature scent that most men should try. It's fresh, deep, and rich; just like the way the bottle looks. It's also dark and smooth. Spiciness of ginger and pepper is there but not at all overwhelming. A combo of something and patchouli reminds me of coffee actually. Or sometimes tobacco blossom. Overall, I like this baby. It is a nice grown-up sent. It has a nice aroma and seems pleasant enough to wear year round; fall and winter especially. One of the good ones from Tommy Bahama House and who can forget the affordable price and how easy it is to find it at many discount stores here in US.

This scent is putrid. I have many fragrances off all different ilks, and this one is definitely the worst.

It is extremely heavy-handed and cloying, and it activated people's allergies around me. I tried to wash it off when I got home, but it still remained on my skin.

Did anyone else have this experience, or something similar?

Wow, this is just great and completely different then whats out there. I got a aftershave/cologne set and tried it this morning for the first time. I was blown away. The pepper hits you like a can of mace, but in a good way if that makes sense. The scent lingers and you simply feel spicy and I am sure the ladies will just eat it up. Best for night I would say.

Before looking at the notes, I would have sworn that there was some sort of wood notes in this. It smells strongly of woods and a hint of pepper. I'm reminded of opening a cedar chest when I smell this!

I received this as a birthday gift in 2006. the box had a creative design of tropical palm trees.I quickly opened the box and pulled out the marvelous amber brown bottle it was very creative with the palm tree on the back of the bottle, and the little water vapors around the bottle.
the opening was very peppery and spicy which reminds me of the summer heat, the middle was very soothing as the gentle waves of the ocean, and the base was sensual and exotic as a one night getaway to a private island. The cologne was very unique and different and makes me daydream and believe this is what the Bahamas is like fun and exotic.

A brilliant concoction for men and women alike. Long lasting, with medium sillage, Tommy Bahama wears close to the skin after the first few hours.

I fell in love at first scent with Tommy Bahama when I admired it on a male friend. We were at a professional conference, and the next day, moments before I was about to speak, he spritzed my wrist for good luck and gave me his travel-size spray, still about 1/3 full. After this first time cross-scenting, I no longer adhere to the male/ female scent classifications.

On first spritz a sharp citrus accord announces “men’s cologne.” But wait just a few seconds, because here come the spices: pepper, coraindre, ginger—and is that a bit of cumin?—all balanced to forgo scorching kitchen heat in favor of balmy outdoor warmth.

The potentially heavy patchouli. amber, vetiver, leather and tobacco never add weight, but instead provide a cushioning base of soft beach sand. This is alchemy at its best: combined with a slightly heady, boozy middle note, all of these earthy delights transform into the essence of sea air on the skin.

Who knew the classic elements—Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water—could be bottled, and at such a reasonable price?
