Ulric de Varens is presenting Varens Essentiel Collection – nine new fragrances arrive in practical, 25 ml flacons.Ambre Mysterieux is inspired by amber and its hot aromas. The composition starts with fresh accords of bergamot harmonized with rosewood. A heart includes sunflower surrounded with jasmine blossom, while a base is built around hot and sweet notes of amber, tonka, musk and candies. Varens essentiel Ambre Mysterieux was launched in 2009.

El ambar siempre es misterioso...huele a lo que huele.Esta muy bien echo,es suave,y dura bastante,ademas de tener un precio muy bueno.

It's a nice amber. For once the gourmand/tonka note wasn't overdone, but enhancing the nice creamy amber scent. the musk did't become too strong either.
The top notes were nice because they were not the typical amber fragrance, sth spicy and fresh.
After 20min. the drydown startet - i think my nose/perception skipped the flowers, or they were very low... Sad, because I was looking forward to smelling sunflower ;)
To me the perfume smelled mostly like cocoa with amber and sth else, without being overly special or boring. there was no strong development, only slight changes. the staying power of this is good - at least 4 hrs today.
it's about the amber without being misterious...
