Ulric de Varens is presenting Varens Essentiel Collection – nine new fragrances arrive in practical, 25 ml flacons. Musc Provocant – provokes with musk accords and opens with beautiful ylang-ylang petals. A heart of the composition is characterized with iris, cumin, cinnamon and cedar, while base notes leave a trail of musk, incense and patchouli. Varens essentiel Musc Provocant was launched in 2009.

I absolutely can NOT believe that I bought such a classy musk fragrance for about 4 Euro in a drugstore.
This is simply wonderful, soft, powdery, slightly woody, smoooooooth, a bit spicy too and I swear there is a hint of leather in it. I especially love the creamy Iris. Not heavy though and very wearable with a low sillage but good staying power. Smells like a high end musk perfume that just emptied your purse.
If you are into that type of scent and you see this anywhere - get it, get all packages they have! And have a look at the the other editions. There are more treasures like Iris romantique or Violet delicate.
It's such a pity that the Varens Essentiel perfumes were available only for a short time in the shops here in Germany.
