This elegant and timeless fragrance represents the essence of luxury; masculine, refined and with style. It opens with lemon, bergamot and verbena. Thyme, coriander and cardamom form the heart, while the base consists of cedar, amber, patchouli, orange and vetiver.
It is available as EDT, aftershave lotion, deodorant and shower gel.

The classic Van Gils for men is a great fragrance. If you like timeless classical scents such as Antaeus, V-C & A pour homme, Tsar, Santos and Aramis, you will love Van Gils classic. It`s a typical 80-ies powerhouse, but timeless and very elegant. I understand it`s very rare nowdays, but luckily it`s widely available in my country for a reasonable price. Thumbs up!

One of my first frags i bought in the eighties/nineties
very masculine.Suprises me not many people reviewed or voted this one.
Here in my country(holland) its was worn everywhere.

I'm fairly sure the notes listed are to a different Van Gils fragrance, as this one has a touch of Kouros, Jules, and Aramis 900. Really, a perfect balance of all of those if you can believe it, at least to me, and to me, that smells near perfect!

With only a couple of drops left in my old bottle, I managed luckily to find a NOS 100ml!! I am so happy, this is cologne heaven, might be my #1.
Everybody should try this at least once!

Strong and sweetly seductive like a summer's night in a Northern European city. It could be called "Stockholm afterglow, 7:th july 1967, by Ingemar Bergman".
Van Gils classic is a bit tricky for daily wear because it radiates a high degree of excitement. Another drawback is that it's not refined enough for the fine university don or those who want to be perceived as intellectual equals of a fine university don. It is however a roaringly fine 80's creation.
