add reviewIt’s very synthetic. Smells cleanness and freshness but like a soap factory! Washing and softening liquids and powders in laundry!
You will feel it strongly but nobody around you will notice!
I don’t like it.

I need to say that I'm real impress with this fragrance. Its my first time that I ware this, but I'm already In love with the Dreamer.
My opinion: 8.50/10

ugly bottle too!
I give it 2 out of 10.

Back in the day, I heard so many good things about this fragrance so I decided to try it out. I was new to the world of fragrances so I went a little overboard when first testing. Two sprays to the chest, neck and wrists (six sprays in total).
After about 30 seconds I fell to the ground..... Head spinning..... Cloying nightmare..... Cat looking at me puzzled...... “No go away kitty, I’m infected!”....... Stagger to the shower...... Scrub hard....... Still smell...... Smell so much I can taste it...... Two shots of Jack...... Burning in my stomach takes away the pain.
This was a bad experience. Nevertheless, I wanted to test it again (this time just one spray). I still didn’t like it, just too sweet and cloying. It’s possible that my first experience may have ruined it for me. However, to be safe, try before you buy.

actually the first notes didn't sound good to me.it's just sharp and green.lavendar is touchable.it totally smells like soap with a touch of cigarette.
but I'm in love with the middle notes.it smells like bitter almond, mixed with vanilla in the best way possible.it's somehow sweet at the same time.whatever it is,I like it very much.
I like these kinds of gourmand, sweet & bitter scents on men very much.I think the name is pretty right for this perfume too.
I'm afraid that it was launched in 1996 and I've just discovered it!

The Dreamer smells like my grandma's wardrobe.

It made top 10s and is considered a daytime player's fragrance. I didn't know what to expect.
The opening notes are very flowery. The mandarin makes it manlier. Smells okay.
Middle notes are too flowery for me.
For the base notes I was expecting something woodsy ... but I got something soapy/detergent a bit chemically. Not a bad soapy ... it's different. Quite unusual. Complex. It's nice but it doesn't fit me.
I guess I had high expectations. Sillage and longevity is not too good for me. I do understand where Versace comes from for calling Dreamer.

I think it's very original (it's not so diffused), so particular and so sexy for a man! I think it's quite sweet for a male fragrance, and it is the reason why it's so original!
men, try it!!!

It will make you crazy, i assure you.

Another website lists the notes as juniper, lily, tobacco, amber, and tarragon. I agree with this more than what is listed here on Fragrantica.
I've always considered this a unisex scent. I barely smell any tobacco, and this scent is mostly about lily in my opinion--very floral.
If you can't grasp around a scent like ckOne, Dune Pour Homme, and Joop! Homme, you'll walk away from Dreamer.
Lately I've sampled (and now own) Thierry Mugler's Alien. I was surprised at how similar they smelled but didn't carry the heaviness of tobacco and Alien finished cleaner. Both just as potent. Alien, however, makes a fine replacement for a smoother journey into the skies!

Overall, The Dreamer is a beautifully done floral oriental fragrance for men. Although they list mandarin orange within its top notes, I can only smell flowers during the long presence of The Dreamer on my skin.
Different from any other fragrance that I know. Highly recommended.

From the heart, and fighting their way to the top, are more sweet florals... Iris, Carnation, Rose, Geranium. By now there are so many sweet floral notes that it doesn't even smell like flowers anymore, it has become a sweet solo beast. That many flowers together stops it from being floral and focuses just on the sweet. This borders on the amount of sweet florals I like, or can tolerate, in a fragrance. It's head is in the clouds. The reason it doesn't go past my limit is because it's not a sugary-sweet. Strangely addictive.
The base notes help to ground it a little as they steadily grow, bringing Tobacco, Tonka, Fir, and a touch of Vetiver. The sweet floral accord hangs on well into the dry down. The finale is a fading Fir-Amber accord, lightly spicy. Longevity is average. Apply lightly, it could be a monster.
I like it, for when I want something very different.
Spring, daytime.

The top notes were overwhelming, in my honest opinion. But the middle and base notes were sweet, and that's what I loved about this perfume.

strange, loud, reckless, dominating, recognizable.
probably for a man who doesn't take life very seriously ... can't stand any limits, but likes harmony and elegance.
my first association: Le Male, and, as perryforever wrote, Joop!Homme.
Dreamer and Le Male have lavender, tonka bean and cedar in common.
Dreamer and Joop!Homme have mandarin orange and tonka bean in common.
seems not very much, but if like those two, you should like Dreamer.
the scent is like leather and tobacco.
but I would never want my man to smell of this, it gives me a terrible headache.

As for the notes.. it has a start that might be a bit harsh, but after the drydown it rly takes a wonderful turn. I can feel the tabacco & rose notes from the start to the very end when the woody notes come (fir & cedar) & make the scent rly something.
I for one adore it, but as a suggestion: try it before u buy it.
