Versace Pour Homme (for men)

Donatella Versace announced the new signature perfume for men Versace Pour Homme in blue tones. This perfume was designed as an ideal companion to the perfume Versace for women introduced in 2007. It represents a strong, sensual and determined man. It represents a place where man stands in today’s society and where women want to see men standing. The perfume was created by the Euroitalia house and it was planned to launch Versace Pour Homme at the Italian market first in April 2008, and then during May in the rest of Europe. Presentation and retail in the USA is planned for the end of August. The Versace house is in charge of design of the bottle. Its glass package is cut like a diamond with a silver coat of arms with Greek relief motifs, and a symbol of Medusa’s head, a creature in perfect harmony, and pair to the already presented signature perfume Versace for women. Alberto Morillas of Firmenich was in charge of creation of perfume notes, and the perfume belongs to aromatic-fougere olfactive group. Donatella Versace’s wish was for this perfume to contain neroli, amber and sandalwood, since these notes take us back to the Mediterranean origins. The perfume Versace Pour Homme is composed of bergamot, neroli, bitter orange and diamond citrus – a large fruit found on the south of Italy. The middle notes include geranium, clary sage, blue hyacinth and cedar, while the base notes introduce accords of Oud tree, mineral amber, tonka beans and musk. The perfume is available as 50 ml edt ($55), and 100 ml edt ($72), and an accompanying collection including aftershave losions, aftershave balm, deo stick and hair and body shampoo. Versace Pour Homme is a new fragrance and it was introduced in 2008.
