Victoria`s Secret Simply Gorgeous Victoria`s Secret for women

Victoria Secret Simply Gorgeous is woody, sweet, and floral. Crimson apple for a crisp sweet top note, sunkissed petals for a soft fresh floral scent, and velvet amber for a light powdery woody base. Unfortunately the Victoria Secret Gorgeous fragrance line doesn’t seem to be doing so well. I got Simply Gorgeous for half off and now even the original Gorgeous is on sale. If you love the Gorgeous fragrances then stock up now because they will soon be discontinued!

I don't think I would have bought it if it wasn't 50% off. On the second thought, I should have waited until its 75%off which is what usually happens with VS fragrances that are being discountinued. I can't say I love it but I do like it, yes. I sampled original Gorgeous and was like "eh.."-same old, same old. VS really irritates me lately because they come out with the exact same thing over and over...common,
VS..But I digress-Simply Gorgeous is more intense and deeper version of Gorgeous to my nose with some extra notes thrown in. This smells very stronly of red apple to me which dominates this scent. There are several floral notes-peony, lily of the valley, freesia and I can't smell these at all-I get red apple, patchouli, oakmoss and vanilla. As you can see-I get top and bottom notes mostly, all the middle notes do not appear to be evident. Best way to describe this would be deep fruity scent that is a bit more intense that VS usual offerings. It lasts much longer than I anticipated as well probably becaise of patchouli which tends to last longer on me. I bought a body spray and lotion which layered makes it last about 2 hours. Quite a feat for VS since most of their scents fade away at 30 min mark. I wanted to get Simply Gorgeous edp but it has this stupid atomazer that they are clearly very found of because it makes its way on nearly half of their fragrances and which I hate with a passion. Yes, it looks nice on your dressing table but you can't carry your bottle with you, can't travel with it and it always leaks and doesn't spray well..Grrr..so I opted for body spray which I knew won't last as long but it had regular sprayer. anyway, I think I would give this scent a 3.75 rating on the scale from 1-5. Nice but not mind blowing

Simply Gorgeous - the name is pretty accurate, IMO. I've been looking for an apple based perfume for awhile but was unhappy with the options on the market right now. Some were way too sweet and others were way to bitter and strong, I think VS got Simply Gorgeous right. Not too much or too little just enough. I detect sweet red apples, minor hints of flowers and the sweet amber. On me, this lasts a decent amount of time, though I do layer my fragrances. If you want something feminine and flirty adn good for everyday use then you will probably like Simply Gorgeous. Like the name says, its simple and quite gorgeous.

What I noticed about this fragrance. I apply it all over body with matching lotion and could feel fragrance very clear on my clothes even after I washed it!!! Wow!

I used to hate this scent, esp since I work at Victoria's Secret and when this scent first came out, we had to burn the oil for this scent...bad times :/

But after a while, I finally began to love this scent! I like how it's fruity but classy at the same time...btw, don't worry if you see this at the outlet, it doesn't mean that it has been discontinued yet (I love that outlet tho, everyone should check out the VS outlet once in a while, its like the semi-annual sale all year round).

EDIT 3/19/12: I guess this is getting discontinued :( because it's now 50% off at all VS stores.

This perfume could be unisex, as for my nose. Sour and bitter in same time, very spicy and juicy red apple! When you applying in on skin it smells exactly like fresh cut red apple. Also I can feel red apple right on my skin, but only when smell close. Around myself I feel just very strong spices.

It's same bitter as first fragrance, but is much stronger. I like this perfume, as it's pretty uncommon. Also the bottle is really good this time, it sprays lots of perfume (not like first "Gorgeous"), same as regular bottles with a simple spray. I would recommend this scent to everybody, who likes previous one.

So this must not be selling well at all because it is ALREADY at the Victoria's Secret Outlet store in Great Lakes Crossing. OUCH! FYI, the original is there too. TONS of them both. LOL!

Anyway, it is an oddly sweet concoction. Just doesn't do anything for me. I sort of smell a fruit of some kind hanging on for dear life thru the alcohol blast and then I catch a whiff of something sweet and sligtly fresh and...well that is about it. You'd be better off purchasing a body spray from BBW.

Simply Gorgeous isn't horrific but the notes would suggest something FAR more interesting and this is pretty boring. Oh well. No lasting power, poor scent structure...pass.

This smelled like a bad apple to me. I really wanted to like it, but it just smelled too peppery on. It was not pleasant at all. I could detect a bit of the apple, and I wish it had been more present, because apple is one of my favorite scents! I was expecting a hit, because the bottle is so cute, but the fragrance did not match the bottle and certainly did not impress me. I had a guy smell it and he told me he really didn't like it, so back to the store it went!

50% fruity floral, 25% floral aquatic, 25% oriental = 100% Simply Gorgeous. It is light for oriental scent. It's pleasant to wear. Not sugary at all. I just don't like this pump action spray because it does not atomize as fine as I want.

I sampled this today, and while I liked it much better than the original, I couldn't bring myself to buy it. The lasting power was very poor, which is a shame. I ended up buying some stuff from the Bombshell line, because at least the lasting power is better with those. I guess if you didn't like the original Gorgeous, then try this one, but be prepared to layer it.

I really, sincerely am trying NOT to be a hater here, but I think I speak for a large majority of people when I say WTF VS?! Seriously, yet ANOTHER rendition of yet another fruity/floral where the notes aren't really significant and will last 30 min? Really?!
