Carmen by Victorio & Lucchino is a floral fragrance for women. Carmen was launched in 1992. The fragrance features magnolia, orange blossom and jasmine.
This perfume seems to attract controversy, and I can understand why.
For quite a while, it smells like one of those vintage classics that have seen better days. The type of thing that makes you go "meh" because it has lost its top notes; the kind of perfume that has long been forgotten in some bedroom drawer, abandoned in favour of zingier, happier, and less dowdy little numbers.
I would go as far as saying that it smells harsh and not all that pleasant to start with, but wait … be patient … and you shall be rewarded, because when it hits dry down stage, the ugly caterpillar metamorphoses into a beautiful butterfly.
Carmen then becomes a delightfully sophisticated soapy floral with a gentle powderiness. This sort of fragrance is extremely versatile. It would fit equally well worn with work clothes, as it would with evening wear.
It remains however a rather serious scent and would probably be better suited to more mature ladies (and adventurous gents).
this scent is definitely not for everyone however I do have to say it is one of the most beautiful scents combined. Sad to see reviews are not great on this one
Yes, I would have to say that this one is my first disappointment especially for the price. The floral notes are there but something in it also smells like soap. I thought Carmen would reflect its name but no so!

The first time I used this perfume, it left a trail of strong, almost offending smell, reminiscent of fly spray. Everyone who had a whiff of the powerful scent got nauseous, much to my embarrassment. I've never used it since. A shame as I travelled a long way to get it, due to the hype surrounding it.
This perfume has some really weird and unappealing notes, although it has a small but loyal following.
Official frag notes to follow next week when I return home.
Cramen...when I think of it I imagine a romantic,spicy,savage perfume.
unfortunately this one is none of them.all I get here is flowers.simple & chic, not seductive at all.
I love the story of the famous free chipsy women but they've wasted such a nice name for an average perfume like this!
