Designers described this male fragrance as the “magical elixir that turns all that’s negative into positive”. Available on market since 2006, it is classified as oriental – woody. It was created by Alienor Massenet and Pierre Wargnye. Top notes are refreshing with bergamot, mandarin, bitter – sweet grapefruit, mint and Guatemalan cardamom. The heart is spicy and floral with Sambac jasmine, cinnamon, orange blossom, lavender, African geranium, nutmeg, freesia and violet. The base brings warm and powdery – milk notes of sandalwood, vanilla, Indonesian patchouli, sensuous white musk, amber, caramel, incense, Texan white cedar, Guaiacum wood and Tonka bean. It was presented as an antidote fragrance that heals, unlike their explosive female “first-born” Flowerbomb. Fabien Baron designed the bottle. The fragrance was launched in 2006, won the FiFi Award 2007 as the best male niche fragrance and the award for the best package.

I thought this smelled like medicine somehow. I couldn't say what notes are in it without looking at the list, but to me it's a bit unpleasant, not to mention waaaaaay overpriced!

This one, a beautiful masquilin scent for any serious collector. Wonderful and artistic bottle, also the water inside. This scent, very strong, somewhat classic, amazing leather and incense. Complex and daring. It smells so niche.

Very different and complex. I get mint in the beginning and a lot of incense. Very strong and loud, but lightens in the dry down.

A pretentious, synthetic assortment of bum notes fused together for no particular purpose. It was vitually impossible to detect anything on my wrist for the first twenty minutes, and only a vague chemical residue was discernable thereafter. It would be an exercise in futility to try and identify any of the notes as there is simply no shape or direction to this whatsoever. It is clear from the surfeit of ingredients listed that this was an attempt to overload the senses and create something avante garde, but the reality is that everything gets cancelled out, leaving the wearer to enjoy a thin insipid residue.

Smells pretty original and different. Screams complexity and modernity which is a huge plus since i like to live all those different notes in a single fragrance. Lasts pretty long and has a high quality content.

Cinnamon and mint at first. Then it settled to gentle warm smell- flowery with a bit cinnamon. Not strong, but interesting. Then mint appears again and makes the composition fresh and hmmm.. It was men fragrance? I won't mind to own one.. And while thinking, woody notes started appear accompanied with the same mint. Mmm... It smells so good like something vintage or even church incense... Mysterious and dark, I love it...!!! Oh, I gotta have it for me!

For me this is the fragrance where past and present merge. It has clear inspiration from the noble past and from todays trend of using flowery notes in mens fragrances.

I like Antidote. It's a pleasant woody-smelling cologne on my husband's skin, and I could probably wear it, too. It strikes me as kind of unisex. It is a bit of a disappointment, though. I thought Viktor and Rolf's "Flowerbomb" was amazing and special, and I guess I was hoping for a little bit more out of this one. On paper, it has a lot of notes that normally make me swoon, but the overall effect was underwhelming.

For me as a women: this is a scent that I want,it is a scent that I would use myself, it´s very untraditional for a men´s perfume.so nice!!

I sampled this once and thought it smelt lovely, but at the same time my sister had sprayed flowerbomb so i bought it thinking it was what this smelt like.
This is a very overpowering peppery smell on my skin.
I have a whole bottle and I really don't like it, mix it with flowerbomb and its nice ha.

This is a lovely scent. Antidote reminds me of a nice cinnamon tea. This fragrance is light and long wearing.

My husband has it and I looooove it. Not an usual man perfume. It may sound weird, however, it is a flowery manly scent. I feel that he lets his guard down when he is wearing it. Like a tough front with a soft heart.
