An explosive bouquet of fresh and sweet notes arrives with perfume Flowerbomb, designed by Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaim and Domitille Berthier.
It was introduced in 2005, as an oriental perfume.
Top notes tingle with fresh and sweet accords of bergamot and green tea.
A heart is floral and opulent with intensive, sweet and pure Sambac jasmine, seductive Centifolia rose, freesia and Cattleya orchid. Musk and patchouli in a base wrap us with an oriental scent, while its milky and powdery notes gently fondle our skin.
The bottle was designed by Fabien Baron, in shape of diamond-granate, alluding at the fragrance itself, since it is so explosive, sophisticated and glamorous. It was introduced at the 10th anniversary of Viktor&Rolf house’s work. It is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml EDP and EDT. Flowerbomb was created by Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaim, Domitille Bertier and Dominique Ropion.

Before I had this scent I went nuts over it. I got this for my bday in Sept.and I'm sad to say that my sister wears it more than me:( it's very pretty in appearance, and at first whiff it's nice too, yet something about this perfume is forgettable. I've found myself growing annoyed at the fact that it has no staying power(on me) for the price and the hype hype thats not cool. I don't know about this one anymore. I'd say try b4 you buy. Either u hate it or love it.
This fragrance is rather bland. I don't mean that it is horrible, it isn't. It is just bland. It smells like so many others that are out there at the moment. WHY do all these fragrances smell the same?
Anyway, the bottle is very nice. I like the bottle. It is more unique than the juice inside.
It is a very safe, light, sweet, floral, sweet (yes, sweet x2) fragrance. Not sure where the sweet comes from, but at least it isn't berries. I am extremely tired of berries!
It is also a very young fragrance. I may have liked it better when I was 18-22. Sweet scents seem to suit young ladies, but now that I am approaching 30, it just doesn't work for me. The sweetness isn't subtle, and I find that a bit annoying.
If you are looking for a safe, generic fragrance that doesn't make much of a statement, this would be a good choice. If you are willing to pay for it, that is. It costs more than it is worth. Chances are, you will be able to find something extremely similar for less money.
Pleasant, but unremarkable.
Didn't know if I would like this as I am not keen on florals, however.... It's fab!
Yes, it is floral, but not in a girly, flirty way. Bergamot, Patchouli & Osmanthus make sure that the floral doesn't take over. It is a spicy floral with a twist. I keep thinking their is a faint whiff of liquorice all though it is not listed in the notes. Then there is the musk... yeah baby!
Great sillage & longevity
This is so sweet, floral and sexy! the best scent i've ever smelled! I usually go for sweet fruity gourmand scents and not the floral ones but this fragrance is PERFECT!!
One of my favorites :) very yummy sweet and yet elegant. I like all versions of it. Extreme and Edt as well as the summer versions . It lasts for a long time on your skin and it has very strong silage . It smells of vanilla even though its not present in its notes. Only the extreme has vanilla in the base. It's a pink warm cloud !
This perfume does not smell right on me. It smells like old lady, mucky, sourness. It smells like something my elderly patients might spray on. It certainly lasts: I was trying to scrub it off my arm and it just won't go away. It smells cheap to me. No flowers I can discern, just strong musky muck.
First time I tried this on I immediately fell in love with it and couldn't stop sniffing my arm. I'm not good at picking out notes, but I will say it's not sickeningly sweet, and after some time it smells a bit powdery to me. I'm guessing the sillage is strong - a guy walked into my office and from across the room said 'it smells really good in here'. And later, someone else walked by and he said something smelled good too - he mentioned freesia. It's expensive but the best things usually are. I love it, and gladly my boyfriend loves it too!
Love it. Females seem to love it but my male co workers say I smell like an old lady. I think it is soft and powdery.
Often people do not know that when they buy Paco Rabanne (million) or V&R (flower bomb) or Lancome(la vie est belle) they buy at the same company the same product with a different appearence.
Lancome and Paco and V&R and ... is just a portion of L'Oreal. And the variation between these two(3-4...) parfumes create by the sames noses are like variation between two washing powders. An illusion to sell more.
L'Oreal is one of the biggest company in cosmetic products. They try to Produce many very cheap products (it's ok) with an image of luxury and quality thay have not (no more).
A very sweet floriental that begins with jasmine and sweet tea and dries down to a pleasant powdery musk with a background of patchouli throughout. It was more subtle than I was expecting, I thought it would be a very heavy slightly old fashioned scent but instead I got a lot of sweet notes, almost like honey. Flowerbomb is strong initially but has quite a moderate longevity on me and remains close to the skin. Very nice if you like floral notes but sadly I personally found it a little cloying after a while.
Oh my gosh, this is beautiful. I never had an interest in trying this because I thought it was just another sweet patchouli. But this is so much better. I can't even describe how good this smells. There is patchouli and sweetness of course, but so much more. I liked it a lot at initial spray, and the SA told me that as it dries down, it gets better and better. She was right! There is a mild powderiness that develops that I really love. I never thought I'd love this, but I do. Darn you, Flowerbomb, I wish you didn't smell so good. Now I have to put you on my already too long want list.
On me a rather ordinary sweet floriental. In an opening phase there was a pleasant grounding note of bitter anise amongst all the sweetness, but it was rather short-lived. After that - nothing special. I don't dislike Flowerbomb, it's just that - ordinary in its genre. Surprisingly, hubby liked it when I thrust my wrist under his nose. Still, not my cup of tea at all. I already have Leiber Night which is very similar, but a tad more interesting to my nose.
I don't see what all the fuss about this one is. I get asked about it at the perfume store I work at ALL THE TIME. But to me, it isn't a scent that stands out. There are some scents that are so unique that no other perfumery could possibly replicate it. Flowerbomb doesn't have that sort of quality to it. It's just...flowery. And a little powdery. Nothing to fly off the handle for. Definitely not the sort of thing that a person should pay 100 dollars for.
Flowerbomb is not really my thing. From smelling the flowerbomb i get a sense of romantic overload. I do not know anyone else but my mom that cannot get enough of this scent i gifted her a 1 and 3.4 oz Flowerbomb perfume, after knowing she had been wanting it for 10 long years! It actually does suit her very well. However not at all compatible with my body chemistry.
This perfume was just TOO strong for me to handle. Now I'll admit, the dry down is very nice but the headaches I got from this perfume were far too much to deal with. I think it might be the tea in this perfume thats causing this. If I drink tea I get headaches as well. Could it be the same with smelling it??? I wound up returning for miss dior cherie.
so i dont really see any sweet notes.. does anybody know where the sweetness in this perfume comes from?
Smelled this once in Sephora and, at the time, I appreciated the flowery smell. But putting some on my skin today at Macy's, I am disappointed - this smells like La Vie Est Belle, a cloyingly sweet, almost burnt sugar mess. Will not buy.
Lasts and lasts. Goes from sweet and floral to honeyed, milky powder. I can smell it on my skin until I shower.
My love for this perfume really came as a surprise to me when I looked up the notes. Patchouli? Yuck! The name "Flowerbomb" already hinted at there being a lot of floral notes, and I've always thought that I was more of a lover of fruity notes, so I supposed there would at least be SOME fruits. Other than the bergamot. Nope. It is incredible. "Flowerbomb" smells juicily sweet to me. Where does all that sweetness come from? I have to admit that I have absolutely no idea about the smell of most of the flowers listed as notes - so I will have to conclude they are responsible for the wonderful smell of this fragrance. They must be sweet after all. Still, the scent is reminiscent of ripe berries to me. Dark and mysterious but fruity and sweet nonetheless. In the end, "Flowerbomb" just taught me once more that judging a fragrance by its supposed notes doesn't do the trick. Who would have thought that a combination of mostly flowers can smell so delicious?
AMAZING LASTING LOVE IT :) MUSKY FRUITY FLOWERY POWDERY MODERATE WOW
Something about this scent bugs me. Too strong for me and not original enough to make the cut.
Edit: Decided to give it another shot. This time it was very different on. It echoed notes I get from Coco Mademoiselle (the 2003 version). I find it nicely powdery, slightly sweet but unfortunately, it's still too similar to a number of other frags to be something I'd pay so much for. Maybe when my Coco Mademoiselle runs out because I don't like the new version, I'll consider adding this, but not now.
I just had somewhat of an epiphany! Couldn't quite put my finger on it before, but Flowerbomb really reminded me of something, now I know what it was! On my skin, it is Sweetened Jasmine Tea with a bit of milk!! YES!!! :)
One of the loveliest fragrances I have ever worn. Two co-workers on my floor at the office have complimented me on it, and one of them even went and bought herself a flacon. It's warm and sensuous, yet there is a hint of sweetness to tone it down. It's very different from anything else I have sampled. Can't get enough of it.
This is my first post! I'm so excited to have found this site & to be learning about fragrance. The site is incredible and I thank you all for sharing your insights and knowledge. My understandig of and interest in fragrance has made a vertical ascent.
Now, as for Flowerbomb... though I lack the vocabulary and experience to offer a sophisticated opinion, I will give you my impression of the scent.
It is sweet, fresh, powdery and soft, though I am overwhelmed by some aspect that doesn't smell like real flowers when I wear it. It makes me think of babies...not in a bad way. I feel cuddly soft and think of pajamas and feather pillows. Still, it is nice...comforting, though overpriced in my opinion.
The perfect scent for somebody!
I tried this on today, and I have to say I don't see why this has so much hype. I didn't smell much in the way of florals, but I could smell mostly sweetness. It had a subtle, slightly herb-y scent in the background, which I liked. The patchouli doesn't really come out on me, and it dries down to a somewhat "blah" scent; a vaguely floral-fruity-sweet scent. It REALLY reminds me of Vera Wang Princess, except just a tiny bit more sophisticated, and with much more sillage. It's pleasant, but I wouldn't purchase this one.
Boring, without character, and way overrated.
I've tried to make myself like this one, as an avid collector of fragrances...but it's just WAY too much money for the boring, typical, unexceptional juice inside.
I don't understand why such a bland fragrance is so widespread and popular. You don't get what you pay for.

Oh this is beautiful. Just tried it in the duty free and now I'm regretting not buying it. I was unsure because normally I would hate something like this as I go for woody perfumes, so I thought I would probably not like this in the long run. But kept sniffing my wrist and liked it more and more with every inhale:)
Gotta have it!
I get sad talking about this perfume. this WOULD be my most favorite perfume in the whole world no doubt if there was no damn patchouli. I detest patchouli. my wish is that there will be a version of Flowerbomb without it! I can dream can't I?? anyway, the prices are insane. bottle is amazing.
I recently acquired a miniature of this. I actually have yet to (intentionally) wear it, but I did open it up to give it a from-the-bottle sniff when I first got it, and some must have gotten on my fingers or hands (dabber bottle) because all throughout the next few hours I kept wondering, "What is that sweet smell?...It smells so familiar...like eighth grade...." I then remembered reading this compared to BBW sensual amber, which was pretty much my "signature" scent way back when. I'm stunned. I thought I would probably dislike flower bomb as I don't love super strong florals, nor patchouli. But this is actually warm, sweet, amber goodness. I will probably buy a bottle come fall. :)
Lolita Lempicka meets L de Lolita Lempicka. I have to retract my previous review because I tried this today and I loved it. Simple as that. Want a full bottle!
all it smells like is a weaker version of black xs by paco rabanne
This perfume is a daily regular of yumminess! I love this sweet fragrance!
Wow, I love wearing this! Get whiffs of it through out the day......
Keep being amazed at how much I adore this juice.
My Sweetie also keeps commenting on how great I smell.
Love that feedback!
Do I love it when my Sweetie loves how I smell??? YES!
Tried a sample of this one
a LOUD harsh deja-vu flower mix
gave me headache... just not my kind!
This is the Angel of the floral world. A sweet, sexy and sophiscated scent when applied with care but headache and nausea inducing if heavily applied.
This is a Patchouli bomb in my mind rather than a Flowerbomb, so maybe it has the wrong name!
A great fragrance it is costly but you get what you pay for it has great sillage and will last all day. A perfume for young and old.
I enjoy sweet and fruity fragrances, but have never quite warmed up to Flowerbomb because of its strong patchouli bite, until today. On this gloomy, dreary rainy day, I was looking through my samples, and having found Flowerbomb decided to give it another try. Oh, how it suddenly blossomed in the air and on my skin -- I just couldn't believe! Always considered it to be a diabetically sweet ubiquitous fruity-floral, with a sharp and bitter aftertaste.... and how happy was I to finally experience its beauty in full bloom. Am I a convert now? Is this appreciation-infatuation going to change with the weather? I am in heaven right now, and just hope it lasts :) One question remains, what happened to all that patchouli that usually turns sharp and bitter on my skin?
I own my bottle for like two years and I never write a review! Such a shame. This was the most expensive scent I ever purchase for myself, but it was totally worth it. I really enjoy wearing it and it's a real head turner.
Where do I start? I think the name is a bit misleading, I do smell flowers but this is not a "big floral" like Anais Anais or Pleasures. The major notes are tea, rose, orchid and patchouli. To me it smells a little "fruity and sugary" in the opening spray. After a while the flowers came out and it starts to calm down a little. It's a sweet, alluring scent for all ages.
I badly wanted to buy this perfume for popularity!!! Then I got a chance of smelling this frag!!! My god it smelllsss sooooo sweet definitely not my taste!!! I ended up havin headache:((( yuckk
I love this fragrance, it's sweet but doesn't get sickly on me because the patchouli comes in, I get sweet patchouli , little flowers and I get some tea, it just smells so good that I was craving it, so I bought it! It's so expensive ! More than Chanel ! Why? I still bought it, I am too addicted!
Smells like super sweet bug spray. Just reminds me of the bug spay I used to wear when I was younger...not a fan.
This smells disgusting to me. It's sweet, and I like sweet perfumes... but not this kind of sweet. This is intolerable. I spray it on and I can smell it everywhere... for hours. So the only thing I can give it credit for is lasting power. Everybody wears it so by now it is completely unoriginal. I like sweet fruity perfumes, not sweet powdery/musky perfumes (which is what this is). YUCK.
Sugary Patchouli are the words that come to mind. It is a very bland fragrance, which is probably why it is so popular, because it falls into that cutesy sugary sweet category that most see as fail safe. It's not unpleasant, it's just like so many others.
It's not that I wouldn't recommend purchasing this, it's just that you only need one fragrance like this in your collection. It fills the "generic" perfume spot in mine.
Go ahead, try it, buy it, it doesn't live up to the hype but you like many others, may love its blandness.
The list of dupes for this perfume goes on and on. Save money and pick a cheaper dupe. I loved Flowerbomb years ago, but there are too many identical dupes out there to name this a "masterpiece" as nothing really sets this apart from the dupes. Walgreens has a dupe that is identical, and guess what..WAY longer lasting. Pink Sugar Sparks is exactly the same as well, and theres one from Zara, while not exactly the same, is extremely similar.
smells exactly like jovan black musk save your money and buy the musk instead
Yes, Flowerbomb... It was supposed to be 'my next big thing', something that I would love as much as I love Angel and Alien. My going out perfume, my sweet, in your face fragrance.
My bloke bought it for me, it is not cheap, actually I find the price a bit too high.
It's not a bad fragrance, I actually like it. I just don't love it. I can smell it on others, recognise it straight away, I like it.
On myself? I don't know - sometimes I don't even smell it. I remember first time I wore it, my skin chemistry picked up Tea notes... I'm not a fan, that was unexpected and to be fair - I didn't like it.
Now - it's a lot more balanced, tea is somewhere there,in a background. Playing nicely with patchouli, jasmine and musk.
I choose to wear it during the day rather than at the parties.
What I found nice - after sale 'service', I registered on V&R website and I got a nice little parcel with flowerbomb sample, body cream, shower gel. Lovely.
I got a huge Flowerbomb set as a gift, almost 2 years ago. It had EDP, hair mist (both 30ml) and a minature EDP bottle, as well as a small shower gel and body lotion. (100ml each I think) I also got a little sample of body cream.
I do not get the similarity to La Vie Est Belle Lancome. I think La Vie is a lot fruitier, vanilla-like and a lot sweeter, I actually dislike it.
On my skin Flowerbomb does not project too sweet, which is a little bit unbelievable to some of you I guess. I smell very much like a delicious cup of Earl Grey, tea+bergamot, and it really shows even in the drydown.
I also get a hint of very well balanced jasmine, musk and delicate rose, which I love. It lasts a really long time and this perfume hears 'you smell so good!' when greeting people.
I like it. I do wish it was a little bit more grown up, a little bit more woodsy or tart/fresh and a little less sweet. But overall I do like smelling like a warm, slightly sweet, fragrant cup of earl grey. Delicious.
I fell so deeply in love with this fragrance, that I bought a 3.4...and that's saying a lot. I only buy in miniature sizes just in case, but I had smelled this on one of my customers and instantly new that I wanted it. I tested it for myself at a perfume store near my house to be sure that I could justify paying $115. I loved it even more on my own skin. It's so....like a dream almost. I'm almost ready to sell my others or give them as gifts.
A victim of it's own bottle.
I had read a lot of great reviews for this fragrance & was tempted to buy a bottle on ebay, my goodness I am glad I didn't, I tested it when I went to JL to get my Guerlain V day pressie & oooossshhh I found Flowerbomb to be "in your face awful"!!! just YUKKKKKKK :-(
I feel like I am the only person in the world that dislikes this fragrance!
It smells NOTHING like La Vie Est Belle!!!! That is one of my favorite perfumes. I read on soooo many message boards that if you like La Vie Est Belle, you will like Flowerbomb. WHAT?
If anything, it is more reminiscent of Angel. Patchouli+Patchouli+Patchouli. Very little sweetness. I smell nothing floral.
Flowerbomb? More like Patchoulibomb.
Thanks to Ta2kitty for the sample!
yes I did like it, I bought it, wore it and by the end of the day i felt really sick! just to sweet for me to wear. Also very expensive to buy!! but I gave it to someone who loves it. ( may smell nice when you test it but when you wear it it can be quite over powering. tho if you love a strong lasting perfume and sweet smell then get it.) :-)
I've reviewed this before but just wanted to say that I was testing loads of fragrances in Boots and saw Flowerbomb (proudly on display due to it being so near V day) and thought "I'm going to spray a hefty amount on myself". The smallest bottle 30ml I think, was around 60 quid. I thought I must've had a faulty tester before for it to be so expensive and yet stupidly weak!
I sprayed a full spray on my wrist and inner elbow crease (I'm sure there's a correct phrase for that - I'll bother to find out one day!). Instantly got that lush smell. Twenty minutes later - nothing. I would never ever buy it for that reason.
It might just be me that it just evaporates away on but it's just so gutting that it doesn't last because the smell is a mix of something magic.
Flowerbomb is truly a delightful gourmand. I purchased this in 2012 based on reviews and one tester. It is a classic and expensive smelling floral. The rose and patchouli stand out the most to me. I don't think it smells at all like La Vie Est Belle by Lancome, other than they are both gourmands. If you are looking for a cheap dupe of Flowerbomb, Charmed (carried at Payless in a pink bottle) is spot on and only $7.
I am really not one for floral scents but this one is really unique!!
It is quite enticing and definitely mature!
Wouldn't purchase for myself but thinking of buying it for my sister!
Love the gem shaped bottle! Striking scent.
Recommend!
I've always though this should be called Sugarbomb, I don't really get any discernible flowers here, maybe some very syrupy rose and jasmine. This is different from the traditional gourmand in that it doesn't have any truly foody notes, other than sugar. On me this is Pink Sugar without the caramel. It definitely reminds me of La Vie est Belle. Anyway, if fresher, sharper gourmands (as opposed to say, Prada Candy or Angel) are your thing, you may want to give this a shot. This was rather cloying on me, but my skin does tend to bring out sweet, vanillic scents.
Refinement in a bottle!!!
My Mom wears this perfume and it is amazing!!! I think it smells like a more expensive & sophisticated version of Lolita Lempika. I saw the review that mentioned it is like a lighter version of Black XS...that is true...it has all of the good qualities of Black XS (dark sweet and indulgent) without being as heavy on the patchouli.
Longevity 10hrs +
Projection: fills a room
Office Safe: No too strong
Timing: Fall, Winter, Early Spring / anytime of the day
Packaging: 9/10 bottle and box are an eye catching pink
Disclamer: my experience may be different from your experience based on skin type, the season, and my personal tastes
I had this on today (this morning) and I really really love it, it's so unique and the smell rivals angel in terms of which is more impressive and delicious. It just lasts all of 10 minutes on me, so I would never ever spend 70 quid on a bottle that I'd have to keep reapplying every few minutes.
I will keep buying testers and look for Ebay bargains though :D.
It certainly is a bomb, but I'm not entirely sure it's a flower bomb. On me this is over-sugared flowers and too-strong patchouli that smells too cheap to be so expensive. It was also gone from my skin in less than 15 minutes, but considering how awful it smelled on me, that might be a good thing.
It was also terrible on my mom, which was surprising, because florals are usually right up her alley. She ended up smelling like candy. Definitely try this one on your skin before buying! It's not for everyone.
smells EXACTLY like BLACK XS but lighter, if you like this then get BLACK XS and youll be in LOVE
WOW what a perfume!ALOT of everything, i love it, but ecxept flowers i feel a little vanilla?
this was my favourite perfume two years ago, i had a small bottle since its so expensive,if you want to stick out wear this!
Twice today I've applied Flowerbomb EDP straight from a mini vial (no sprayer). It is certainly a beautifully done fragrance as in, it smells rich, as if it's must be made of high quality ingredients. On me like others, it is sweet and warm, not very floral. Although it's very pretty, it'd not at all unique which I consider a flaw in such an expensive perfume. If a scent can't distinguish itself from others, why make it in the first place, and why pay so much money for it?
Sillage based on this kind of application on me was fairly mild and longevity was definitely disappointing. I DO have dry skin, am in an extremely dry climate, and it's a cold wintery windy day but I would still expect more, again especially at this price point. On the plus side, if you can afford to pay this much and reapply regularly, I can see it being a signature scent for some as it would work in almost any situation, time of day, or season, and also for any age person. The way this worked on me, I can't imagine it offending anyone with power or the scent itself.
Good choice if you have a money tree.
And PS: I find the description above hilarious. "The bottle was designed by Fabien Baron, in shape of diamond-granate, alluding at the fragrance itself, since it is so explosive, sophisticated and glamorous." Sure thinks highly of itself.
Reading the reviews I find it amazing that some reviewers complain about longevity. To me this perfume has extreme longevity along with extreme sillage. Unfortunately, I don't like it at all. It's way too heavy and headachy (the patchouli I think) - and very pungent (the rose perhaps).
Once while wearing it, I almost felt inclined to apologize for the strong odeur of it - it was that strong. And I only applied two tiny whiffs because I knew it would be overpowering - and still it was too much. It's spicy sweet, and perhaps if you could get a 'light' version I might like it. As of now I should pass this along to someone else, because I won't be wearing it again. Well, maybe if I lost my sense of smell and wanted to give people around me a headache. ;)
Right... I've just covered myself in this and I'd say it is seriously something you have to know about if you're into your smooth and dark, sugar and spice, strong smelling "out there" scents.
What I don't understand is the name? "Flower" - bomb? I don't know, I think I'd just have called it Firebomb! It's sooo warm, rich with a little kick of spice. A definite cold weather fragrance for me, I think it'd make me feel sick if I smelled it in warm weather!
I don't know if it's just me being ignorant to the word "floral" and assosiating it with flowers like Rose and Lily's and Violets and Lavender because this smells absolutely NOTHING like flowers to me! It's so sweet! Like not fruity sweet, there's no fruit at all, but creamy rich, sugary, like brown sugar and it has the licoriceyness of Lolita Lempicka (which is my sig scent).. there's a total resemblence.
Flowerbomb is less sharp than LL (which, in my opinion, is THE fairytale Queen in these kind of fragrances), and the ultimate down side (which should bring the price way down) is that the staying power is just ridiculously weak. I'm smelling my wrists every 5 seconds in between typing, it's a warm edible lush creamy sophisticated subtley spiced smoothie.. which will probably be gone by the time I've clicked send... :(
So which flowers smell like that? I want them all over my house!
EDIT: about 5 minutes later and it's literally faded about 80%... going to ask my partner if he can smell anything when he gets in, it's shocking how a perfume so expensive can last all of 10 minutes! It now just smells musky with brown sugar.
Gosh I have not worn Flowerbomb in so long. I bought this when it was first released in 2005 so the bottle I have is 8 years old! I put it on today as it seemed fitting for an overcast summer's day and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of Flowerbomb. I feel surrounded by a gorgeous, deeply intriguing floral bouquet where no single note stands out. It is almost as though the floral notes burst out only to be gently embraced by the sensuous patchouli and the chase between the them carries on! This is joyous for me today! I am not a big liker of in your face fragrances which is why I have left this one alone for so long. I am very pleased I have revisited Flowerbomb today I feel she has matured and gained a sophistication that wasn't evident when I first wore her. A light hand is definitely the key to making this fragrance work her magic!! I will definitely be wearing it more often again!
I think this is one of those either "love it or hate it" fragrances. For me it's the later.....
It definitly stands out, and its not for the faint at heart. It's more about making a statement and being noticed than a fragrance with character IMHO.....
I tried Flowerbomb when it first came out. My first impression wasn't long lasting as I was in a hurry.
Being a Victor&Rolf creation I expected something perhaps along the lines of experimental and rather different than everything out there as they are quite avant-garde in the fashion industry. I left it at that and never thought about it again.
A couple of years ago my cousin bought a bottle and placed it on her vanity. I noticed the bottle and decided to try it on my wrist (with her permission of course).
I was instantly surrounded by a beautiful cloud of sweetly scented mist. I was a little shocked to be honest because it was nothing like my first impression.
The opening is not sharp, citrus or extremely fruity. The opening is sweet, flowery and gorgeous. It later develops a soft, powdery charismatic personality. Flowerbomb manages to remind me of silk, feathers, flowers, candied pastries and stilettos all in one. I seriously don't know how this can be done. The ending is musky and amber jasmine. It reminds me of vanilla, amber and every oriental perfume I have ever loved!
Flowerbomb is not a perfume that's all about the flowers and forget about the rest. This is flowers being feminine, glamorous and hanging out with the popular ones.
I reach for Flowerbomb when I want to capture and wear the warmth and charm of feminine glamour. This perfume is inviting and gets noticed everywhere I go. People absolutely love this, mostly men.
I don't own this one yet I just got a mini vial sample from my local sephora, & I have to admit this made quite the impression! This smells heavenly to say the least , it is a very alluring scent & it smells expensive, really it does! It has this posh element to it that is just lush & femme , I was so impressed I can say this one is on its way to me by mail & as soon as I un box this little gem a smile will be left on my face :)
Perfection
I liked this perfume immediately, and constantly tested it at shops before buying it. My 50ml bottle has lasted exceptionally well (noting that I change my perfume daily) and the smell always stays.
Ethyl maltol bomb may be the best way to describe it. It reminds me of Charles Jourdan The Parfum except with all the "good stuff" removed. To me it's more for making statements than for the aficionado, so I'll be putting my ounce bottle up on my swap list.
UPDATE: After a few hours the sweetness is mostly gone and a resinous base emerges. It's a bit vanillic and nicely balanced. I consider this part to be "unisex." There are lots of bases out there similar to this one so it may not be necessary if you already have a couple like this,.even if they are not nearly identical (I know I don't need more than one like this). It has an almost minty quality at this point, but not quite. Overall, an odd idea that eventually turns out well. I certainly would have no problem keeping this one in the rotation.
UPDATE #2: If you don't want the sweetness up top (and want to save a lot of money) you can get Royal Secret for Men and then you will only be missing the patchouli note. If you want the patchouli and don't mind some leather thrown in, then you can try to find Rose d'Homme. They are not identical but there are quite a few scents that have a similar drydown and are of reasonable quality.
I was so disappointed when I tried this today at Sephora. Normally sweet notes disappear on my skin, but Flowerbomb was almost nothing BUT sweet on me. I usually bring out florals, but all I got was this UBER sweetness on me. I think that this was just a really magnified rose note.
After about an hour I attempted to wash this off, but it is a tenacious perfume. I can still smell it after 6 hours.
It is still sweet, with hints of jasmine.
I smelled no patchouli whatsover. What a shame because I love patchouli.
I had a similar experience with coco madamoiselle, but I would wear coco madamoiselle before I would wear this, because it was not sweet.
I wish that this worked with my skin. It smelled so pretty in the bottle.
Sweet heavy and warm...
Flowerbomb -is lancome's la vie est belle eau de toilette! La vie est belle is what flowerbomb should be, for that price tag...
Flowerbomb is such a nice summer perfume, because it is sweet and fresh, but not in an overpowering way. The notes are very well blended. It is fresh, but not in a sharp citrus freshness, instead it has a sweet greeny note which is probably the tea leaf. It is a milky sweetness, not milky as in ice cream milkiness, but more like a soothing sweetness, its a rounded and soft fresh sweetness. It is light when sprayed sparingly, otherwise a few spritzes will last forever.
I felt this perfume some time ago, and I was amazed! Fantastic..
A woman passes by you using it, goes away, but the sillage and the miss of smell, stay long.
This victor is a masterpiece, really amazing ,sexyy, makes u. Cheer up and its sooo different from aany other scent love itt till tommorow :D it lasttts more than 10 houres siutible for night ;)
I picked up this perfume while shopping at sephora because my fiance smelled it and just LOVED it. He told me to get it, it was so expensive and I wasn't really willing to pay the price but he told me its worth it. It costed me $98 with tax for a 30ml bottle. ..ridiculous price! It doesn't last more than 2 hours, I'm very disappointed. It smells very sweet and like vanilla to me but my friend came over today and said that it smells like old ladies. That's the first time I hear someone say that about flowerbomb.
I like the smell but unfortunately it doesn't last.
A sweet, beautiful but really agressive perfume. Not for me.
this is a super-parfume.
the smell is beautiful.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this purfume, it smells amazing, i do NOT think it smells like flowers though and it is meant to be an explosion of flowers. but i think it is more warm, heavy, wintery, sweet yet sortof musky, and mostly Vanillery. Flowery scents are meant to be light and spring timey and god day scents. Estee Lauders "Bloom" is the type of fragrance that i would label as flowery. This lasts a LONG time on my skin and i love it when it settles and when i first apply it. I put one spray on about 2 hours ago and i can still smell it. it does have a very strong burst when you spray it which is good because you dont need to put 1000 sprays on.
PS: i am aware that this scent does not wear long on SOME people, for me it lasts long but if it doesnt for you, then just apply a thin layer of vaseline to the area you are applying it to before you spray, this should make it last ALOT longer <3
There is alot of debate on this though, you either love it or hate it, at the end of the day it is just a purfume and some of the comments here are kinda outragous considering that it's just a purfume, if you hate it, then cool no need to BASH on it because some people Love it. what if there is a self consious girl that spent ALOT of money buying this and then read the negative comments here and stopped wearing it? stop bashing on something as simple as purfume, go find something else to do.
i just bought my first Flowerbomb EDP and i love it! to me it does not smell at all like the notes that are listed, nor do i find this extremely florally like the name of the perfume suggests.
i think this smells gourmand like and very delicious! its very sweet and creamy if thats not weird to say, with strong warm vanilla and faint floral notes. its also a little powdery but in a very comforting way. to me the patchouli is not strong at all even though this got the most votes on the perfume pyramid. just the perfect amount that gives it dimension and depth. its very feminine and i find it quiet sexy and alluring. i think this perfume is suitable for both daily use with a light hand and for the night.
i kind of got the idea that this fragrance was very screaming and in your face but i personally find it quiet soft but still very distinctive. its such a beautiful scent! it lasts long on my skin which is always a good thing. also i love the bottle, it looks so sophisticated and classy.
i understand the similarity between this and la vie est belle by Lancome but i find that flowerbomb is a more mature and sophisticated version as i find the la vie est belle more fruity and i somehow tend to associate fruity notes with a younger crowd.
Watered down less nicer version of Magnetism by Escada.
The name is totally appropriate. It's all flowers and completely beautiful. On me this smells just awful but on everyone else it's gorgeous
I always thought that this scent was over-hyped, and in a way it sort of is considering the price point. There are a lot of scents on the market that can be compared to this one, so you're definitely paying for the quality of ingredients (very high) and packaging (beautifully cut glass bottle)...all in all I really like this. It is actually a perfume I crave for pure sweetness but in a non-gourmand way. I do agree with the fragrance's olfactory category- this is an oriental floral. You can smell the floral notes. I can smell upon first spraying, the orange blossom. It lends a sweet citric-floral air to the perfume without adding juiciness. I can smell sweet orchid, jasmine and sweet rose. They are just so well blended together with the tea and bergamot that you get this unbelievably fresh-sweet accord and you have a trail of patchouli that has been watered down a whole lot underpinning the fragrance. This patchouli is soft and sweet rather than robust as in Chanel's Chance or Coco Mademoiselle. This scent is soft and sweet, and has a chiffon like quality to it. As I spray it on I imagine an aura of pink cloud smoke wafting about me. Nice choice on the packaging colors as well; it reminds of classical ballerina colors- the light pink and black accents. Very chic looking.
I used to wear this perfume when I was 23 to 26 years old. it just doesnt seem that special anymore. But has excellent staying power.
I absolutely love this perfume. It is deliciously gourmand, like Angel with vanilla notes. Various perfumes are described as powdery, which is a characteristic I like. It is my new favorite.I bought Angel and Flower bomb the same day. I also brought home samples of each to help me decide which to keep and which to give as a gift. I am keeping Flowerbomb.
A really good combination between flowers and "pinkness". I smell vainillA and caramel I swear, and thats what i like it. The patchouli is nice and stirilized, not the masculine heavy that everynody knows, no; this is soft and femenine. I personally love it!!!❤
I've tested this perfume at a chemist, and I must say I really do not like it. At all. It smells like fly spray! Sorry, not my cup of tea.
I'm not sure about the flowers I'm supposed to smell here... Apart from the sweetness, all I can detect is coffee and - sitting very skinclose - even some vague licorice-scent! Guess it's the chemistry.. Flowerbomb, not for me.
I would probably like this a lot more if less girls/young women wore it. Just like the overdone Daisy by Marc Jacobs where are some girls creativity and difference?!
I find it too sweet, too strong, too common - a beautiful bouquet should be associated with this name, not a bouquet of cupcakes.
I tested it both on paper and on my wrist. How I wish I could smell the same on me as it smells on paper. On my wrist it´s close to the skin, almost like light creamy puding with tiny hints of some orange. On paper it´s much more nicer. Juicy, bright, sparkling, feminine scent with bitter tea, patchouli, some juicy fruit and feminine orchid. Opening was like cotton candy with freesia (love this part). Very optimistic, happy scent for both young girls and mature women. I would say even sexy IMHO. Hmmm I think even when it´s so expensive if it does match your chemistry it´s absolutely worth it. It´s not boring but bold happy spirited scent for every occasion. This is very unusual and amazing scent and need to say I can´t stand patchouli and in this it turns really good. Hmm that says something. Highly recommended!!! Luv the bottle too.
+ I saw it´s compared to lancome LVEB, I think this is prettier, smoothier, not that sharp, and more feminine.
This smells very sophisticated and womanly. It almost smells like a really sweet mens cologne. i love it sooo much. Its a pretty heavy scent that i tend to wear on colder days and seasons.
Very similar to la vie est belle. I have both and have been smelling them side by side for a couple days now. First time I compared I thought I liked la vie better, but I think it was just the initial excitement of have just got it gifted to me. FB all the way!!
Flowerbomb is warmer, has more patch, and is a smoother smell. I do prefer the orchid kind of sweetness over that of the red currant sweetness from la vie.
Got my xmas bonus/tip money from work and immediately knew what to do with >:D.
If you want the best of flowerbomb you guys need to hit up nordstroms. They are SO awesome there. With my 100 mL bottle I got a free mini, free purse spray, and 5 carded samples. I got me some flowerbomb up the ass. I AM SO HAPPY. The ladies who work there are soooooooo nice.
Okay though guys, even though I in total love with this scent I do have to admit lasting power is kind of crappy :X. Lasts four hours about.
This is the strongest and heaviest perfume I ever smelled. It is almost over powering. It's very sweet and obnoxious, definitely an attention getter. I can see why it is soooo expensive, a little really goes a long way with this one. I thought I would like it more than I do. It’s ok, definitely an evening scent. It gives me a headache sometimes and I don’t wear it very often. I liked it when I sampled it at the department store but I don’t have much use for it. I think if it was not so heavy I would wear it more often. It reminds me of a bottle of French perfume my mom had when I was growing up.
i usually wear this one over my other fragrances mainly because it has the best lasting power than any other perfume i have owned use it lightly because it is very strong.
This scent is S-W-E-E-T….. why then do i adore it so much? Because the sweetness comes from FLOWERS not candy and fruit. What i find impressive is how closely the scent in Flowerbomb is to the scent of a museum gala/fundraiser i attended years ago. The entire museum was covered in lush greens and -tons- (truly, a TONAGE!) of white flowers…the scent which wafted through every corridor WAS Flowerbomb! (not as sweet…but definitely the same floral scents) i never could have guessed that flowers could smell as sweet as they did..the best way to describe the scent is rosewater w/ drops of vanilla, and orchid. That is much of what i get from Flowerbomb…though with pumped up vanilla warmth.
The patchouli/sweetness could be a turned down a bit, but that is me being nit-picky. Flowerbomb seems to be quite the polarizer, but given that i've experienced the "real" version of the fragrance, i can certainly appreciate it as a sweet warm floral…not a candy store in a bottle.
Yeah, I agree with a lot of the other reviews. It's more of a sweet perfume than a floral. Vanilla all the way. A touch of warmth.
No flowers in this one. Just a sugar-y punch in the face. A pale shadow of "Angel", which "Flowerbomb" so desperately tries to mimic, but gets nowhere. Perfect for 12-year-olds.
I didn't think I'd like this one since I don't really like florals, but this was surprisingly sweet and gourmand-smelling. It reminds me of Angel a bit, but with vanilla instead of chocolate. I guess it's the super-sweet-candy-mixed-with-patchouli thing Flowerbomb has going on. I like this scent and will probably end up wearing it fairly often in casual settings.
I absolutely love this fragrance, I'm not so sure why.... I can't figure out what smell atracts me so much. Though, there's actually a problem. And that's why, I'd say, I don't just stick to it. Somewhere along the way, it gets sour. On a way I can't stand. I'm pretty sure it happens, I'm not sure it's my skin chemistry or it's the perfume.
Love, love, love this gorgeous perfume! I think it's amazing and enjoy wearing this scent along with the extreme version.
This fragrance is responsible for giving birth to a generation of super sickly sweet 'trying to be oriental' lolly water fragrances. I give them some credit for giving this a good whack of Patchouli which was a bit different and old school for it's time but other than that it is a mass marketed, over priced and hyped super syrupy diabetes in a bottle scent. I do admit however that I love it's later version Extreme which was a marvellous woody patchouli benzoin, vanillary goodness type of creation. If you want a fragrance which is similiar to flower bomb original give Revlons 'Pink happiness delicate moments a try as it is an absolute doppleganger for the original flowerbomb" if you want a bit more grunt like the Extreme version go out and by Jovans "Black Musk" it's an absolute bargain and you may be pleasantly surprised!
Amaziiiiing one i want to eat my self when i smell it on me
Well... I love the scent except it is way.too.strong. I dont spray much or anything, but a minute after I put it on my skin I begin to get a major headache and only storming out into the cold winter air helps the situation :-( Its a shame really because its a nice warm scent and i would use it in winter times if only it wasnt that intense.
And I looove the bottle!
I've only recently discovered this fragrance, and oh man do I love it. The name is such a misnomer, and is the reason I didn't try it for so long - I expected some kind of meh meh white floral scent which couldn't be further from the truth. Flowerbomb is warm, and inviting, and delicious. It's a huge vanilla-scented hug, perfect for cold winter days.
L-O-V-E this perfume! Maybe I'm a tad biased, as this was one of the early perfumes in my collection, and I got it as a gift at a time when I didn’t have many perfumes (maybe 4 or 5). I first smelled it in London before it ever came to the US, and I fell in love. It took a few years before it came to the US and I was able to reunite with that gorgeous scent. This was my first patchouli scent, and it’s what made me fall in love with patchouli. I just think it’s fantastic. It’s light yet rich at the same time, totally wearable (especially at night), very feminine, not too strong or too weak in projection and lasting power (although after 6 years, I think some of the top notes may have faded and the longevity may be slightly less). Yes, this does smell like La Vie est Belle by Lancome. I like both a lot. I will never finish this bottle, as it is too special to me. I treasure it.
I am very disappointed about this perfume, it was not up to my expactations. It's just an ordinary perfume* and lasting is so poor ( almost 1 hour ). I am trying to cool my self " dont worry , at least you gave your money to buy the bottle* "
* the only good thing about this perfume, its bottle is very elegant.
*it smells like cheap deodorants in market ( 8x4 etc.)
Beautiful scent upon first spray but sharp headache shortly after and absolutely no lasting power. Completely scent free within an hour. Waste of money sadly.
If it was a half price cheaper perfume, I would say it is OK and suits to teen market. But now I honestly think it is overpriced and not original at all. I have used Escada Magnetsm for years, and when I tested this, told myself the proverb about "the new old thing" lol.
My bottle of Flowerbomb is almost empty! I can't decide if I want to ask Santa for another bottle for Christmas now. I've really enjoyed this perfume, and my little boy loves how it smells and the cool "bomb bottle". Flowerbomb is so popular online, but I never EVER smell this on anyone in my part of the world. This one reminds me of two other perfumes, Prada Tendre & the new La Vie by Lancome specifically. Honestly so many perfumes have that strong patchouli/sweet vanillary smell these days..There's the Miss Dior Cherie, Coco Mademoiselle, Jimmy Choo, and on and on it goes...At least the European Union hasn't messed with patchouli yet I guess! They are after oakmoss and all the other powerful base notes right?..
I LOVE IT!
I can't believe how many compliments I received at work today about my perfume! I just opened up my new bottle of this magical fragrance this morning and sprayed it on. I was told that I leave a trail of soft sweet flowers as I walk. I don't mind if other people don't like it because it just means there's more for me. I LOVE IT!!
to my nose is more flowery than sweet!its very good perfume and it lasts for hours
Reminds me of Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works. I really don't like this perfume! I just don't get it
I tested this for the first time today. The top note has strong resemblance to tomato leaf. Maybe it is the green notes described. After dry down, it is a light powderly floral. Nothing remarkable for me. On the other hand, my husband commented that I smelled great this morning, like Love's Baby Soft. Even still, I can't imagine buying a full bottle. I can't get over the tomato smell.
I like, but do not think it is worth what it costs. For me it's a mix of Fancy and Black XS. The power of permanency is good and the bottle is beautiful.
Edit: I am relieved that I used my whole bottle of 100 ml, but definitely not buy again.
<3<3<3<3<3<3 My husband loves this perfume and sniff every time when I wear it. I have 4 signatures: Angel Thierry Mugler, Ange ou Demon Givenchy, Alchimie Rochas and Flowerbomb Viktor&Rolf. I have the ability to develop the sweet notes of the perfumes, and make them strong. Thanks skin!!!!
It smells like something from Avon. Ok....but not worth more than $15, tops.
Don't like this one. It's way too sweet. There's no balance.
I imagine that Viktor & Rolf have a Flowerbomb factory. If this is the case, I want to go and live in it.
Well, I think this one might be a little overhyped. Don't get me wrong, it smells really good. But it smells quite similar to a few I already have in my collection that were much cheaper. And the longevity on me was quite poor for the price. I'll use this bottle, but wouldn't repurchase.
I've seen so many people rave about this perfume and it fell into the category of scents that I do like so I had wanted to get a whiff of it for a long time. 2 days ago my boyfriend said we were going to NJ for the day (I live in PA) and I asked if there were any malls near where we were going. The mall I went to had a Sephora (so this was my first time in Sephora...Sephora = heaven on earth!!!!) The first thing I saw was Flowerbomb. It was pure love at first sniff!!!! My birthday is in a week and a half so I played the birthday card with my boyfriend in Sephora to walk out with many new perfumes. LOL. BUT!!! My boyfriend of ten years has been through a lot of perfumes with me, I make him smell everything I buy and have, and he said this is by far his favorite :) He said it's very sexy yet young. I totally agree.
It smells wonderful straight from the spray outta the bottle and that's something that I don't always like. A lot of perfumes I need to let dry down and get used to. So after a few minutes I sniffed my hand again and it smelled even more lovely then when I first sprayed it which seemed impossible. It smells sweet and florally, which are my two favorite scents.
I will be the first to admit that I cannot break down a scent and tell you what the notes are in it. I've recently gotten into becoming a SUPER perfume fanatic.
(always LOVED perfume, always had a few, but never to the degree I have become over the past 2 years)
With this though, I can tell there are sweet notes and there are floral notes, but all with the perfect balance, blended in perfect note syncing heaven.
To sum it all up, it is a very beautiful scent. It is warm, floral, and a bit sweet. It has great longevity and sillage. I sprayed Flowerbomb on 4 hours ago and can still smell it, I asked my boyfriend who is sitting on the opposite end of the couch if he can still smell it and he said yes. It is quite pricey but it is very worth it. You don't need to douse yourself with this perfume. Two pumps goes a very long way!!!! (trust me I am the queen of over spraying myself to make sure a scent lasts )
One very last thing, I PROMISE! , if you're wondering what age of women wear this, I am a 28 years old. While in Sephora I saw a teenager who looked to be around 15 or 16 purchasing the mini of this and while in line I saw a woman who appeared to be around 40ish with this perfume waiting to pay for it. So it seems to be the perfect scent for all ages!!!!
OK, so I tried on three separate occasions to like this, but it just does not like me. I find it so sickly sweet and cloying on my skin to the point of it being almost toothache-inducing. Then the patchouli... it just intensifies into something sharp and pungent, reminding me of a freshly fertilized mulch bed... not something I really desire to smell like. I tried to give it time, but it just would not settle. This may work for you, but for me it is a stink bomb. This seems to be the pattern with the patchouli-based gourmands and me (I also can't stand Angel, Lady Million, etc). You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now.
Ok, it is sweet. But you know what? I don't think in an offensive kind of way. I have it, and -even though it is not a masterpiece- it lifts my day and makes me feel really feminine every time I wear it. It is young, girly and flirtatious.
I bought this recently from a perfume sale, mainly because I had heard so much about it. I must say, this is a BIG personality perfume. I'm still not sure if I love it or hate it. I'm undecided but I think I'm leaning towards like/love with this one, it smells like sugary chocolate to me. Oh and I agree with the other comment, this is definitely not suitable for the office.
I have really tried to like this one. I give up. Please, ban people to wear Flowerbomb in public places. I cannot stand the smell.
One of my colleagues used to wear Flowerbomb at the office. I was kind of offended - in my opinion, this is not a office fragrance. It is just too much, like showing too much skin or being overdressed at work. If you have to wear Flowerbomb, please wear it evening time.
This is one that I can only find at Ulta, it is wonderful i have not found one lower than 100 dollars but is well worth the price and scared to purchase a fake knock off from some scam on ebay sell fakes...yes the real flowebomb is awesome...
VERY NICE SCENT
I would describe Flowerbomb as a musky, powdery, floral with just a hint of sweetness. What stands out most to me is the musk and powder while the florals and sweetness are lingering in the background. Really great for fall and winter.
For the type of scent it is, I feel like it's not worth the price tag though. It is nice, but I would never buy it.
There is nothing special about this fragrance. It's flowery, light, sweet, and hardly powerful at all. The counterpart, Spicebomb, is to DIE for, though. Spicebomb brings something different to the table. Flowerbomb, conversely, is sweet, floral, and is nothing more exclusive than a cheap bottle of essential oil that you can find just about anywhere.
Don't waste your money on this scent, because it's incredibly not worth it.
I really don't get why people love this scent...it is OVERPRICED and unoriginal far as if you wanna smell like 1 out of 4 girls. It smells like flowery baby powder in my opinion, I used to work in fragrance and it is definitely a popular scent, I made samples of it pretty often and am just not a fan. it is strong though...
Would it be weird to say this smelt like a Barbie doll? i.e. a sweet, kind of plasticky scent. Can definitely detect the flowers and the lasting power is great (still smelling it 7hrs later), but it doesn't develop into anything special on me. Disappointing, as I can see how much other people love it. I can see how this could be really gorgeous if some of the other notes came out a bit stronger.
@RaeRaeC
Ithink flowebomb is kind of perfume which u can hardly smell on urself after a short while but is spreading its scents to the people around u for long hours. Its like u r having a flue and ur nose is stuck. Try ask ur friends whether they can smell u after 2 or 3 hours u spray it on. I believe they do and they like the smell on u.
I fell in love with Flowerbomb when I went to a perfume shop in France. Had to come back one day later to buy mine. It's sweet like a sweet cloud. It reminds me of dreaming, fantasy, girl stuff... It's a fairy tale fragrance. My fave!
I absolutely love this fragrance, I really do, which is why it is such a shame that I will not get it again. It JUST doesn't last. On me, within the hour it's disappeared! I bought a 30ml 6 weeks ago that is almost done, and for the price it just isn't worth it. I am going to try the extreme and see if it's any better, but after that... Don't waste your money :-(
so... i just bought this and im completely in LOVE with it. i'm not really good at describing notes in a scent. but the first thing that comes to my mind when i smell this is..: in love. to me, this is what a girl would wear when she's extremely in love.
I am not a lover of patchouli and these days tend to avoid it in a fragrance.
When Angel first hit the market, I was unfamiliar with the scent of patchouli, and actually liked Angel quite a bit. But after a long while, I grew weary of its overdose of patch (no offense to lovers of Angel or patchouli or Flowerbomb, but I would like to feel free to post my honest thoughts in my reviews) and consequently stopped wearing it.
This fragrance is reminiscent of Angel in that it is overwhelmingly patchouli in aroma. Its name 'Flowerbomb' is a misnomer: 'Patchbomb' is more apropos.
There is also a noticeable note of tea in it which I don't care for.
I don't hate it, but I'm not in love with it, it's a spring/summer scent; definitely a NO in winter!!
First of all, it's not floral, it's more like fruity/sweet to me. There's something in it that makes it smell THAT sweet, honey maybe? and some berries? I don't know! There's also a powdery feel to it!
Most important thing is, i can't imagine ladies above 23 yo wearing it, I mean it's really girly I wore it when i was 18! Unless you're bubbly of course then this will be good for you!
I don't normally like sweet scents but this had something that made me buy it so it's definitely not in the notes listed up there!!
It's also FUN to wear, not for an evening out, use only during day time.......again AVOID at night!!
I wore this on my wedding day in Las Vegas. Not normally a big floral, musk or patchouli lover but sometimes and only sometimes i give way to my prejudices and jump in. Very expensive, i bought the tiniest 4ml bottle from a outlet perfume store on the end of the strip. It was 39 degrees out there and its staying power was pretty awesome. This is quite sweet so might be too much for some but there is a slight sharpness from the patchouli which takes the edge off. Yes, its popular and can be smelt on many but it holds a special place on my perfume voyage and every time i smell it it makes me smile.
I wonder why this scent is called Flower Bomb, because it does not smell of flowers to me. To me it does smell quite gourmand, I detect a sort of cherry and patchouly dark sweetish scent, of the sorts of Délices, although I do like flower bomb better. Feels to me monolythic, sticky, with a sirupy texture and gravity heavy, not airy at all, although I do not find it unpleasant.
It is too longlasting and very noticable by others. Unfortunately I cannot smell it when I wear this.
It also gives you compliments every time.
But still I can't say that I love it... It is not unique or different or special. It is very nice scent but not great. I got it from a swap and I am really thankful for that because I could never afford buying this on myself.
It has quality, I just do not find this impressive.
PS. I only wear this when I am going out, it is not a day scent.
It's Ok not worth full price I think it's pleasant but not original It reminds me of something you can buy anywhere body spray's are sold I won't buy it again it's just not for me I've received more compliments wearing other fragrances
I love this one so much. i want it and need it in my collection. i tested some on my wrist and my dad said it smelled like dulce de leche. so nice and sweet and attention demanding. love! <3
Reminds me of how Lolita would smell.
This is a very sweet scent, i really love it! Smells like orchid, vanilla, patchouli, and cotton candy. I always am in a good mood when wearing flowerbomb. It's a happy, fun, playful, flirty, sexy scent to me. Perfect for fall, flowerbomb always get's me in the mood to go out and do stuff, and socialize.
All that vanilla that everyone is smelling is from the orchid (it's pods are vanilla pods) and I love it! I dont know where the sugary sweet notes come from considering the notes, but do believe that the flowers used here play off the earthiness of the patchouli and contrast in just the right way to give a candy aura to this wonderful perfume. I do love this fragrance in fall and winter! If you are expecting a bouquet of flowers you will be disappointed! Flowerbomb is marshmallows, vanilla and sugar dipped flowers with a hint of patchouli and musk to keep it grounded. I feel like a peaceful hippie high on pixie sticks :P
ohhhhh. Oh, no.
I am sorry to say that I truly dislike this and cannot see what the buzz is all about. I am short of word and I know it is unfair to just say that I do not like a fragrance without saying why or reviewing it properly. But I found it very unoriginal and unpleasant on me. Where does it begin, where does it end? Just one boring floral linear note on me. It smells cheap on me! I scrubbed it off I could not stand it. Must be my chemistry otherwise why would so many ladies love it?
You might want to have a look at what I usually like before you let my review influence your purchase. It just isn't my style to start with.
I want to classify this a floral. The Orient is not that bland. Maybe it's because I have been wearing Amouage Lyric and Memoir and they have crazy awesome spices in them.... But flowerbomb is NOT oriental on me!
I think that this is a lovely, youthful introduction into the world of oriental/floriental fragrances for a young lady. However, it won't be long before she starts to crave deeper and more complex frangrences.
This has all of the features that your typical teeny bopper likes - it is very sweet, comes from a designer and has a very high price tag. A real winner for anyone 14-20ish (that''s not to say that someone over 20 couldn't wear this and smell good).
To me this smells like pink cotton candy, tonka, tea, jasmine, powder, and patchoulli. If it weren't so sweet, it would probably be one of my favorite fragrances. the shower gel that goes with this is very nice though. It is musky and spicy and far less sweet than the perfume itself. When I smell this in the winter it makes me think of a 16 year old girl on a ski trip with her family, who spends most of her time in the lodge, drinking chai lattes and flirting with a very cute boy. In the summer I find this very cloying, and disgustingly sweet.
I like this perfume, and don't usually feel offended when I smell others wearing it. that being said I can't really see myself buying another bottle either, unless it was for my baby sister.
What a disappointment!! All I can smell is vanilla and more vanilla - sickening sweet & expensive! I much prefer chypre fragrances.
nothing flowery. actually I can say this is the worst naming of a perfume that I've ever seen.sweet but yet nice.most sweet perfumes annoy some people but this one is tollerable and even lovely while sweet. somehow I find this scent calming and pleasant. the perfume that can make you smell like a yummy cake. the longevity is nice and the sillage is good. nice scent for winter
Flowerbomb is sickly sweet yet musky. This fragrance should be called Sugarbomb!
More vanilla pod than flowerbomb. But not bad, if you like vanilla creamy scents. But there are cheaper versions on the market if that's what you are looking for, like celebrity frags.
I know I'm being put on the death list for comparing fb to celeb frags, I'm not, fb is well rounded and has depth to it, but the vanilla dry down isn't that uncommon.
By nature, I am a primary oriental and secondarily floral. I don't normally mix them so this is quite a treat. I do wish the initial explosion was not quite as loud. I usually quarantine myself the first 15 minutes after I put it on...lol
This is a very seductive, varm ,sort inviting scent to me ,wich i love. It has a slight sweetness in addition to a suttle spicyness that i find to be a very interesting combination. I would really recommend this to alot of young women, not only because of its amazing smell but also cause i find that it could be appropriate to any occasion and att any time of the day.
this fragrance is a disaster. it has the most original, lovely name and the bottle but it is too sugary, too fruity. I cant smell any flower notes. Viktor&Rolf designer house is a very creative and unique brand. but flowerbomb is so simple, smells like drugstore perfumes
A really nice scent (and i am one who doesn't usually like florals) but the combination of the tea and florals is beautiful, and for some strange reason i get a slight vanilla note in the base, very pretty.
This perfume is fast becoming my all time favourite.. Also, I get a lot of compliments when I wear this.
I had the small travel size that was refillable, but I decided that it wasn't worth keeping so I returned it. I have the Vince Camuto and I honestly think it smells better on me it has a different type of sweetness to it..than Flowerbomb does. Its a nice perfume though, just not for me. Flowerbomb starts as a sharp floral and then it quickly sweetens up into a vanilla. I was hoping it would be a little more unique than what it was...considering how many people have raved about this perfume.
Sure, it's sweet, fresh and pretty like maaaany other fragrances but it's -somehow- unique in it's own way. But oh, it's soo expensive..
Next Angel TM. Sugar, awful sweet thingy which we have loads on the market.
Lancome Forever Miracle - here we are.
Angel TM - exactly the same.
Britney Spears - something.
yep.
phew.
sorry.
50 quid?
Joke.
I think there may be some problem with my nose, because I don't feel anything patchouli in this fragrance. When I spray it, I can feel tonnes of sugar liqueur (honey?) mixed with buballoo grape flavor, which lasts about 5 minutes and then it turns into a wonderful sweet floral, but smooth. In the first two hours he exudes a lot, but then it gets very close to the skin. After 14 hours I could still feel it very lightly on my skin. But it's still an absurd price for a perfume so common, would never pay what they ask for it.
I used to work in a museum when I got Flowerbomb. There wasn't a lot to do and other employees, even the BOSS, were so curious about the perfume I was pining and raving so much about. When I came in one day and they would inch closer to smell it, after all the propaganda I had created for it. I absolutely loved it. Nowadays would buy it but would prefer to invest in other new discoveries. Made me feel great. Not androgynous, more like a sophisticated young woman with a diagonal front haircut, classy, young and a little bit edgy. The juxtaposition of floral femininity with the hand grenade, pale pink with black = Instant Classic.
my friend told me that i smell yummy when i wear it.
Yeah, for my skin chemist... the smell of flowers and tea
explodes at first then leaves a hint of sweet caramel candy
on my skin all day after dry down :)
Such an amazing fragrance. Strong, sweet and very long lasting. Is composed of many flowers but the perfume is not a heady floral. I think the tea note compliments the fragrance and it helps it from being overly sweet. I do smell patchouli, but it doesn't bother me. I guess I don't mind patchouli, as long as it is the right quantities ;)
Oh my god, I think I've lost my ability to smell anything but this perfume. It's quite possibly the most cloying, sickly sweet thing I have ever smelled and the... Oh no, it's Ok. This has zero staying power. I'm all right, guys!
Flowerbomb is certainly an apt name for this little horror. A cloying blast of everything and the kitchen sink. I can't stand it.
Definatly NOT a perfume to blind buy. Get a sampler first.
Beautiful smell if you smell it on card. doesn't go that well with me though but smells amazing on other people. Very beautiful scent although exspensive at $210 in New Zealand for 100mL bottle.
I really wanted to like this and understand the hype of it all but when it comes down to it, I'll never understand.
Even from the bottle itself, I don't find the smell appealing. I like the tea note though, but I think its the way the patchouli is used in it. The mixture of all the ingredients almost smell too old fashioned for my taste. When I spray it I find the scent quite annoying throughout the day. I know it's not my body chemistry because it smells the same in the bottle or on a sample card.
I honestly like sweet perfumes, but I don't think I would be able to be taken seriously wearing this. I feel that I'm a respectable 21-year old independent lady, but when I wear this, I feel totally different. This is almost reminiscent to some of the VS scents I have, but to me it feels like a mess of all those scents combined.
The design of the bottle is gentle though, and you can tell that it was a breakthrough idea to make the bottle a shape of a grenade and the staying power is amazing.
The only thing I have left to say is: If you are thinking about purchasing Flowerbomb, think of Flowerbomb in the most literal sense you can imagine.
I love the scent hands down but it doesn't last long at all i have to reapply..i usually wear angel but this is not as strong as i hoped for.. is anyone else running into the same issue with this one?...i wanna love it and do but its a big let down..thank God i didn't spend as much on this as i did and its a legit bottle cause i registered it online and everything but if i spend major money on perfums i want power and longetivity..if your looking for a softer sweet scent not too overbearing this is it.
waw so lovely i love it
كم احببت ذلك العطر انه رائع
Yet another disappointment! I bought the sample hoping I would love this but I don't. It's just OK and that is about all I can say. Very vanilla but very little flower smell. Huge powdery smell.....not what I was hoping. I won't be buying this perfume as it failed to WOW me.
I was expecting to hate this, as overly floral scents don't agree with me and with a name like "Flowerbomb" I expected this to be overly floral. Not so. I actually found it very sweet and spicy, with the floral notes more understated than I'd expected. I think the patchouli and freesia (which I've always found to have a peppery scent)bring out the spiciness. I'm not sure where exactly the sweetness comes from, I would have assumed vanilla before looking at the notes but maybe it's rose and orchid?
This is divine! Flowerbomb manages to be comforting and sexy at the same time, wafting a creamy floral-vanilla deliciousness. Despite the name of the perfume, vanilla is the star of the show.
I would totally buy this if it wasn't so popular. I might cave someday...
A sweet vanilla musk with carmelized sugar. The floral notes are definitely the middle and dry down smell. This can be overly sweet if applied carelessly. This is a winter scent. This baking sweet sugar cookies with grandma. Date night would probably be cuddling close on the sofa, and watching a romantic movie.
Smells like a warm, vanillay, sweet and sugary dessert. No flowers at all. Just deliciousness. At first spray some may find it a little bit strong, but it mellows down to all the things mentioned above within minutes. It's a really soft and cozy fragrance. It isn't overpowering at all.
Also the body lotion is amazing! I dare say it is even a bit smoother than the eau de parfum it self and I find that it lasts longer than de edp.. Together: Mmmhh yes please!
Sometimes I wear it to bed, just because it is so cozy :)
This fragrance pairs perfectly with a sundress and heels on a day spent windowshopping.
i want this since i smelled it.been sending huge hints to my hubby.hope to get a bottle soon.fingers crossed!
I love this scent, leaves trail is elegant and refined, and will not appear with anything I know. Fixation is excellent on my skin lasts longer than 12 hours does not come up in the bath and the laundry is completely for about 3-4 days. I am male and love to wear this perfume suits me without a doubt. Night and is ideal for colder days. Fragrance of Scented Absurd!!!
Flowerbomb was recommended to me by someone eho knew I was a rose lover. I was later told by someone else to steer clear because I am also sensitive. They said it was overpowering and I wouldn't like it. However my other half must has have heard mention of the name and bought it for me as a gift. When I opened the present I was apprehensive knowing the mix of reviews I was afraid it was going to be a disaster! First thing that struck me was the bottle. So so beautiful. Its feminine, simple and classy. I sniffed before spraying.. nice. Sprayed on... delicious. It did not irritate me at all and I found it not one bit overpowering. Sweet creamy vanilla. I think the name flowerbomb is a misnomer because I did not find it flowery at all. A few hours later and it smells a bit more oriental but delicious still. I really like it a lot.
I finally gave in to the hype of FLOWERBOMB ... and all the praises this fragrance is getting is well-deserved! It took a while for me to finally say yes to this because the price is high and I already have so many fragrances I truly love, but it's well worth it!
The initial spray was a combination of sweetness and warmth, the patchouli is mild and it's blended well with the fresh floral notes. But what I love the most is the creaminess that follows ... it's like a velvety blanket of the most beautifully blended sweet floral fragrance. Yes, I get the floral but it's not just flowers, it's an explosion of all the notes creating this highly addictive scent. It's not just the hype -- it's absolutely amazing!
Flowerbomb oh my dear Flowerbomb .
It's my signature fragrance . Been since 2005 and It will be forever on . I love It I love It and I love It
This perfume annoys me. It's ridiculously expensive, and it promises a lot. With a name like Flowerbomb, I was expecting something edgy. Instead, I got a run of the mill, boring sweet fruity floral? Lame! I'm actually shocked that there's no vanilla listed in the notes, honestly. I've tried drugstore perfumes that have inspired me more than this, to be honest.
What I wanted out of this perfume was a smoky floral, with maybe some fruit for good measure. Like I said, with a name like Flowerbomb, I expected something warm and smoky. A note of tobacco would have been really, really interesting with this. Bath and Body Works' Midnight Pomegranate has tabacco notes in it, and it smells really interesting but completely wearable at the same time! It would have been nice to have things shaken up a little bit.
If your name is Candy, you are going to love this!
I really, really wanted to like this! I smelt the bottle first and immediately fell in love. To me the scent was beautifully creamy, an explosion of soft spicy vanilla and delicate florals. Sprayed onto a test strip to be sure and still loved it. However, as soon as I sprayed it on my wrist, all I could smell was furniture polish! Luckily for me it only lasted 2-3 hours (seemed short for a parfum) and after that I could only get a slight hint of a watery, vaguely floral scent. I used Chanel Allure later that evening which seemed to bring back some of the vanilla, but it was only very weak and temporary! Not for me, but I'm sure it smells great on others. I was sad as I usually get on well with vanilla-ish scents.
(I finally bought this after a few weeks of consideration. It's so expensive I had to make sure it wasn't just a crush flying past.)
My boyfriend described it as "creamy creamy creamy" and he's quite right. On my skin it is pure vanilla, orchid and patchouli creaminess. It's not so much floral as it is creamy, but it definitely makes me feel sensual and sexy. It's feminine and kind. I feel very comfortable wearing it as it is like a soft fluffy blanket wrapped around you. It also has a great silage! It stays on me all day and I can detect a hint of it on my wrist when I wake up in the morning. The floral, citrus and tea notes that give the top a little bit of edge disappear from my skin very fast but I go around that by spraying a little bit on my clothes. On the fabric it keeps it's edge. I'm very much in love with this scent!
Everything about this fragrance is right. Sillage, lasting power and how the notes unfold. Spectacular.
I got a bottle as a gift and I wear it only on special occasions. However, if pecuniary considerations were not the matter I would have worn it every winter day. And summer nights too while I am at it.
This is such a beautiful fragrance, hands down! When I first smelled it I thought it would smell really boring, and I was like: Haha, yeah right, I bet this one smells awful. Then I spritzed it on my arm, and had a sniff, and I was WRONG! I was so surprised by this smell! It's really warm, a bit spicy, sweet, not really flowery fresh in my opinon, it's really sexy and you feel indulged after putting this on. Really great. Bought it in Eau de Parfum for my mum for her birthday (it is bloody expensive!)and she did also really like it! Definitely check this out!
I'm surprised to see vanilla isn't listed as a note. When I spray Flowerbomb I get a cocktail of creamy vanilla, patchouli and orchid, it's a real head turner trust me on that! I personally can't really smell the musk in this one to be honest but that's good! I don't want this beautiful and smooth scent spoiled by it's sharpness
Longevity is 5-6 hours so it does last
This is a beautiful, slightly sweet floral that is anchored nicely by the patchouli. I feel so feminine and lovely in it. This is womanly, not girlish at all to my nose. This is a fragrance I will purchase again once I run out. I adore it all day long, applying it even right before bed. Perfect for the spring and summer seasons.
This is a beautiful, multi-faceted fragrance with many different notes and layers. It is very hard to describe this scent because it is complex and changes throughout the day. "Flowerbomb" is an appropriate name as this is a whirlwind of sweet orchids and fresh roses with a soft, spicy bergamot tea drydown. To me, it is worth the steep price because it is just so different. Jasmine and gardenia peek through ever so lightly, the spicy tea note gives a sultry warmth. A very feminine, alluring and comforting perfume.
Smells just like "B Exquisite" by Bijan...
I just got a 1ml decant of this. I wanted to like it so bad! I love the bottle and all of the notes. The bergamot and jasmine are perfect together....and then I get patchouli...overwhelming patchouli. :( I promised myself to give it a week, but I'm not looking forward to it.
ETA: and now it smells like scented markers
Wow! I really like this scent a lot! It smells like a gourmand scent on my skin but a classy, not synthetic gourmand (that's really hard for me to find a non-synthetic gourmand, esp. vanilla scents).
I just wish that this scent wasn't so expensive :(
Stunning... but heavy. Don't overdose it or people will avoid you :)
Perfect for the night, more wintery than summery.
Delicious, sexy, rich and bold. Very noticeable.
Lovely as a night out finish to some other, lighter perfumes - I always add a tiny drop on my neck and wrists on the top of ligher perfume.. for example D&G 3 - L'Impératrice
Ohh Flowerbomb.. where have you been all my life? You truly are a masterpiece. I have never liked a perfume as much as I like you. You and me are a good match. You smell like beautiful roses and sweet orchids mixed with a lovely vanilla scent. You give me thuousands of compliments and make me very happy. You will forever be my favorite <3
I love this a lot! In my opinion, this is actually a very sweet floral scent. Very strong, sophisticated sweet. I'm not sure how to describe it because the actual notes are confusing me, I don't really smell any of the notes except for rose & orchid? And wow! $155 for the 100ml & $75 for the 30ml, so expensive!
My worst choice ever! The name bomb does not suit this perfume,it last less than 4 hours on me,this is a complete rip off from viktor & Rolf.My God l picked this instead of my Tomford white pachoulli.l want my money back, end of story.
I've never had my sinuses react like they did when I smelled this on me. Can't speak to the dry down as I had to wash this off in less than 10 minutes. Too strong, too masculine and too much for my sinuses. Is similar to BB&W Sensual amber but has some extra notes I hate. Not for me and I hope I'm never near anyone wearing it.
On my skin it's orchid, musk, bergamot, a hint of rosy tea and spicy patchouli.
It's a very long-lasting fragrance on the skin. It also has great sillage.
This first time I tried this I didn't like it that much, but, I've grown to really enjoy Flowerbomb.
As it's on the skin the complexity and deepness of the patchouli and orchid grow. The musk and bergamot cut through the thickness of the pathouli to lighten it up and make it kind of wispy.
Really like this one!
this to me has an aftershave smell..lol...it reminds me of like a givenchy play...I like it
All I smell here is burnt caramel. All other reviews seem to smell a lush garden and a ton of flowers - I smell none of that. All I seem to get is a warm, Prada Candy like smell that is irritating and only good for colder months.
If your a vanilla lover like me, you'll find this really catchy. However dont buy it unless you make sure you can handle it. It gave me severe headaches!
After reading rave reviews i was sure this was going to be my new 'best friend' how wrong! An initial squirt onto tester paper at the beauty counter gave a burst of floral magnificence which prompted me the try it on my skin -bad move -after a couple of minutes the fresh floral meta-morphed into something reminiscent of my grandmas dressing table -the jar of old flower petals -pot pourri ,dusty and old - imagine Dickens' Miss Havisham languishing in her dusty old wedding dress reeking of this stuff. It lasts forever - smelled so bad had to go into ladies washroom and run wrist under tap. Wanted so much to love this perfume -obviously not suited to my chemistry
Really floral and green scent. For me smells like flowers and grass. I like this fragance, but it is not for me.
To me this one is like a cross between Jimmy Choo, Angel, and Pink Sugar... i'm amazed looking at the notes to not see anything that would be causing that slight sugary sweet undertone that I pick up in this one.
I like it but am torn as to whether or not I want a bottle, since I did buy a bottle of Jimmy Choo, got bored with it, and ended up trading it away. If it were cheaper I would gladly buy one of the smaller version but WOW the price is just silly. I'm thinking that perhaps I would only own this one if it was gifted to me.
Oh MY! Flowerbomb has quickly become a new favourite of mine. Sweet warm light sexy MAGIC.
A sugary floral with a whiff of patchouli. If you find a candy store's display mouthwatering, then Flowerbomb is for you.
why did I smell it similar to aquolina pink sugar sensual? something wrong with my sample perhaps...
A nice floral that's just a tad sweet, but it's a little sharp on the nose. I found it a little overpowering myself, but I tend to like softer, sweet scents. It lasted a very long time for me. I tried it on while shopping in the afternoon...and it lasted through the night plus a 5 hour red eye flight. I could smell it on myself until I showered at the hotel. It's powerful stuff! :)
Just got the 100ml bottle of this, and i'm glad i got this size... because even though it smells lovely, it doesn't last very long. luckily i don't mind reapplying every now and then :)
I just got a mini 7ml bottleand it smells like candy. Im just surprised nobody has mentioned how alike it is to paris hiltons cancan.
Got a sampler decant of this and all I can say is THIS IS AMAZING!! It doesn't have that "soapy" smell to it and I like it more than the other feminine fragrances I've tried (I'm a guy btw lol).
Ladies, definitely get this one. You'll be the sex bomb walking around with this scent ;)
Okay Flower Bomb by Viktor+Rolf is expansive, but if you want to splurge a bit then, Flower bomb is an excellent try. I used up the whole bottle in no time and now I want more Flower Bomb!Smells like a dozen roses .Not too strong but has rich floral tones , and not too over powering .
Quality floral. Initially way too much patchouli at first, but that's some refined patchouli. Orchids and tea notes keep it fresh. Slightly creamy notes present as well; excellent balance of ingredients. I would classify this as herbal floral.
Tea notes are very pronounced here, which maintains the perfume freshness to the end. Some serious silage and longevity, 8+ hours. Pricey but well done, smells expensive, high quality stuff; definitely worth it.
It's a good fragrance, but nothing special. I still have it, but I'll not buy it again.
I often smell a perfume like this, bold vanilla and white flower has an intensive smell, so oriental. I think this is a common fragrance. A perfume with the famous brands, pricey and also the cheap one that have a fragrance like this. This type of fragrance is have a great lasting power for mature women. Similar with this perfume is Dior Addict, Dior Midnight Poison, Ck Euphoria, Aigner Starlight. Smell so good on other people, but if those fragrance sprayed on me i feel headache and personaly i don't like. Sorry for who loves those perfumes.
Greeks usually say: perfume can aproximate people from gods.
Flowerbomb is classy, fashionable, elegant, lightning, floral and so cute!
Amazing sillage and longevity.
I think this fragrance smells like heaven. Wear it and be a goddess too! ;)
I'm not a big fan of a "typical Oriental" perfume, but this perfume is an absolutely unique, sophisticated scent. The sillage is amazing. It's a new classic, smells so multi-dimensional, floral, patchouli in the drydown. It's very sweet, yet sophisticated. The lightness of this scent should not be confused with a gourmand which is sugary, almost syrupy. You don't get sugar in this, at all.
One of my faves, by far.
This fragrance is extremely popular. I smell it everywhere I go now, particularly if there are women 40+ in age. You will ruin this scent if you spray it as heavily as the women I have come across!
Love it! love it! love it........sweet and sexy
I smell tea and patchouli when I wear this. None of the wonderful rose or anyother flower for that matter. It's super potent I only use the rollerball and it last all day. I can't imagine the actually edt.
I can only say one thing:
I wish it wasn't so expensive!!!!!!!!
Why in the world this bomb has so many variotions? How many different flowerbombs can they make? Well, I do not like VR flowerbomb anyway. The drydown is just harsh, too much indeed. Try Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works if you want to smell the same and not paying the overpriced juice of Viktor&Rolf, plus SA have a much better soft drydown.
This is high class cotton candy floral dream! LOVE IT! Happy I gave it another chance.
I'm not a fan of heavy florals, and with a name like "Flowerbomb", I expected to feel as though I were sticking my nose into a bouquet and deeply inhaling. Instead, I get earthy, spicy orange cotton candy with a powdery feel, and a simultaneous moist, waxy quality. It's pretty, but I really don't understand the hype.
I get flowers and sweetness more than patchouli and tea from this, thank god! Can't say I'm a fan of patchouli, but I like this one.
For me this is a little too spicy and heavy, but otherwise a nice floral scent, lasts long. I would wear it on a warm fall night :)
When I wear this perfume there is no way that people won’t notice my presence in room. It is a complete statement making perfume. It was worth spending that much money on it. It is absolute delight to wear this ….I love the mix of floral notes ..yet it is not old fashion , snobbish expensive smell…it just sync with you. I got it on Valentines from my husband and he thinks it’s modern yet classy and mysterious.
I tried FB from sample on a magazine, and i ask to myself "Where is the flowers? It's only a bomb...", it was very similar to "Tea for Two", de l'Artisan Parfumeur, a very smokey tea....and tea is in FB; pheraps on a male skin i can't detect flowers, but is very sweet, seems smokey vanilla....i think is very suitable for the cold seasons, in summer could be a little bit heavy.
This is a 'bomb' alright! And that the bottle looks like a hand-granate adds even more to the 'bomb' explosive flower smell that leaves you in shock and awe the moment you dare to spray this on! Don't get me wrong, I love florals IF they have other notes that keep them in balance. This one should have patchouli in it, but I can't smell anything but flowers dipped in sugar?
All I can say is: if you like flowers so much so that you can smell them all day long and don't mind tasting them: (smells reach your taste-buts after a while IF they are very potent) than this one is really the one for you.
I loved the idea and the list of ingredients and really, REALLY wanted to like it; and I'm sure there are lucky people out there who get to enjoy all the levels of ingredients in this scent, but for my nose it's just too much of a good thing.
Victor and Rolph realy got it right. This is the perfact fragrance for ANYONE! It is just gorgious if you like florals. The rose, patchuli, burgamot and jasmine are clear and the percentage of each flowers oils are just right. These guys got the chemistry spot on. You can smell a meriod of flowers in it just like a [flower bomb!]
This smells exactly like its name,Flowerbomb. It smells like someone taking a bunch of the nicest smelling flowers and made it into a bomb then threw it at you. When the bomb exploded, you could smell all these pretty flowers at the same time. But sadly I do not like this fragrance, because of the sudden burst of flowers. I can't smell any patchouli at all..and this doesn't last very long./:
Well, as much as I wanted to love this, I cannot say that. I HATE IT. ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!! and here is why.
This fragrance is lovely upon first spray, but with my particular chemistry as I must say that I have extremely oily skin and everyone knows that oily skin enables fragrances to have additional lasting power. Well, the patchouli is at complete WAR with my senses. It overpowers all of the other notes in the fragrance. I never even get introduced to the florals or rose in the third phase because the patchouli overpowers and dominates each stage of the dry down. I am absolutely disappointed in this fragrance. It was very expensive and does last all day. The new Jimmy Choo smells the exact same on me as well. What a complete let down to me.
I just ordered Flowerbomb, I was at Heathrow airport after a very jet lagged trip from Los Angeles, I sprayed it on myself as I was buying a fragrance for someone else. I have had a bottle of this a few years back but gave it to my friend. I overlooked it. Well it stayed on for 12h and I really enjoyed it , feeling so tired and needing a shower this really made me smell beautiful again. I spayed it on my scarf and when I smelt in again I was obsessed with it. I needed a bottle! I really like how girly and sweet it smells and it lasts and lasts and lasts! Expensive=YES ,Worth every penny=YES. I have been wearing Lady million religiously but I have grown a little tired of it. Will this be my new obsession=YES!!!
Every afternoon in a local gym a ripped, rich, middle-aged estate agent with loads of attitude struts her stuff in a cloud of Flowerbomb (Blombom in Afrikaans sounds much better), in the firm belief that she's da bomb. This cloud to me reeks of grainy, unclean patchouli on wilted flowers. Not at all objectionable, but perhaps a bit too much in a semi-crowded gym where ventilation can be an issue from time to time. All this doesn't mean to say that I won't be testing it on myself soon, make NO mistake...
I just jumped into FLOWER BOMB, head first and free-falling. I desperately wanted it to be ME, therefore IT IS! Freshly bathed and sprayed, I nearly had a heart-attack because the first thing that registered was cigarette ash or bong residue? It was a tense 15 minutes or so for it to warm up to very sweet, caramelly that transitions into the deepest earthy, vanilla tinged musk. Flower Bomb is one of those that will require a purse atomizer, because it has no longevity. It is definitely not an everyday, but I can be adventurous 2-3 times a week. My husband says it is mysterious because at first so many notes overwhelm you, but after it settles into what it is...it is playful and alluring. I'm still not convinced it is decidedly floral, but I'm no expert.
the dry down of this perfume leaves me smelling just like centifolia rose... an amazing scent. no other perfume can duplicate it like this can. everytime i sniff my collar i feel like im dunking my nose into a gorgeous pink rose
spring and summer daytime scent. beautiful. i remember buying this from Saks when it was the only place you could buy it. ahh.... it's been years, and i still love it.
Silly me, I bought the eu de Perfume, which was too strong and imposing for my taste. It gave me a headache after a short amount of time, and I had to lock it away so my younger sister wouldn't steal it and make the whole house smell strongly of patchouli, freesia and musk.
I love the top notes, but when it dries down it just becomes heavy and icky.
I know this has been out for a while, and even though I had smelled it on others and loved the aroma, I never bought any for myself. I actually didn't expect to buy this; I was wanting Jimmy Choo's perfume instead. They are both quite nice, and no, they don't smell anything alike, at least to me. So I put Jimmy Choo on one arm and Flowerbomb on the other, and boy, what a hard decision! I went with Flowerbomb because of the lasting power and the dry down is a little sweeter. On me it's a soft, powdery vanilla which is very romantic and elegant smelling. Very nice for colder months and spring and maybe, summer? It's very soft and non-offensive, so you and others can catch small whiffs throughout the day. And yes, it is expensive, but if you want to save some money, buy the lotion which is true to the perfume and still has wonderful lasting power. Hope this helps anyone who might want to try it.
It's a very lovely scent, however i don't believe that it is worth $100+....
I couldn't even get as far as trying on skin. The whiff I got out of the bottle was pure cotton candy. If that's what you're looking for, great. But I'm pushing 40 and I don't want to smell like a carnival.
From the comments here, seems like this perfume can smell very differently from person to person.
I was hoping to get a bouquet of flowers. At first I got flowers and vanilla; after an hour it settled into…chocolate-covered strawberries. Reading the comments, seems like I was luckier than many :-P Problem is, that’s not what I was going for. If I want to smell like a dessert, I’ll use something like Fragonard’s Eclat. But to each his own - that's the beauty of this industry.
This perfume really doesn't deserve great comments as it really is nothing special honestly...it's ok nothing unique though
i wore this when i was travelling but it made me feel quesy and not got a good memory because of it
I bought it when it was relatively not known in 2007 dec BUT since then i've smelt it on other people and it was beautiful !!
maybe my olfactory was bombed out put my past memory into retro because i wouldn't buy it again !!!
lovely perfume but is sooooo over priced!!!! There are many more perfumes half the price that are either just as good or better. Its quite a sweet perfume and at times can be a bit sickly however if it was cheaper would I buy it? - I really dont know.
I bought it because I love its smell and because so many reviews say it is long lasting..."you just need to spray it once"...and stuff like that. Unfortunately (I am so disappointed!!!) it doesn't last!!!! NO ONE noticed I am wearing a new perfume, not even my husband!
I will keep it for the summer, but I am so mad at myself I spent a lot of money on 30ml of sweet flowery water.
Should have been called SugarBomb.
I gave a Flowerbomb so many chances... but it still didn't become my second nature... Too sweet and too ordinary..The liquid inside of the bottle doesn't deserve this price tag IMHO
I tested this fragrance for a few days before I decided to return it. Patchouli has never really bothered me before, but I think it may be a little overpowering in Flowerbomb, All I could really smell was patchouli and sugar. It's not a bad smell, but I just didn't want to smell like it all day.
I had a sample of this because I wanted to try it but didn't want to commit to buying it (I am a sample freak!) And I was sooooo happy I only had the sample...at first it is the most delicious sweet scent when first sprayed on, then after an hour it starts smelling like nasty ashtray?! I was shocked...I have never had an issue with patchouli / woody / flower scents and this one smelled like a nasty watery ashtray on me...If anyone is having the same issue, I would recommend trying Prada Amber, it is a less sweet stale version of this and it is fantastic! this made me afraid to try patchouli again but Prada Amber made me believe that some Patchouli's are actually really lovely.
For me Flowerbomb reminds me very much of L de Lolita Lembicka. The both have a really annoying note, anyone who knows what it is? Musk? Flowerbomb is slightly more flowery and tolerable to me but I still don´t like it. Thank God I only bought a 7 ml bottle. Not worth the high price.
Also I wanted to add that if you like Flowerbomb, you may also love Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot - minus the animal testing! These perfumes always reminded me of eachother - now I know I will turn to only my Vanille Abricot for my sweet, fruity vanilla kick!
You also may want to try my new discovery - Darkly Audacious by the Pink Room. Also sweet (but not candy sweet by any means!) vanilla based. A LOT more sulty and beautiful than Flowerbomb. And no animal testing!!
I had a chance to finally test Flower Bomb a few weeks ago. It's a much different fragrance than I'd expected. Like some others, I'd thought that this was a going to be a HUGE bouquet of flowers in all shapes and sizes and colors, but instead it's something very, very sweet. What I could get from the fragrance was a great deal of sugary water with a bit of rose and jasmine. It reminded me of the scent of Turkish Delight, that gelatin-based candy made with rosewater and pistachios. Because it's so light and sweet, it seems best suited to young women.
I have to say that generally this was a disappointment. All of the hype and excitement surrounding the scent seemed to suggest that it was a modern day classic, but it really lacks a distinctive personality. I think one should sniff around some more and find a cheaper alternative, and I'm sure there are many.
So wrong to compare this perfume to sweet cheap perfumes, and saying that its sweet regural perfume!! Thats away too wrong!! This perfume is so unique, cant get out and not having pele asking me about it,girls adore it and drems about having it!! I wanted it for so long and in my last birthday i got as a gift feom my boy,,i went insane about it,!! I wear it every day and lmgers in my clothes a whole day,nd i can smell it the next day too. Its a bit strong when u spray it at first after few mintes u get some sweetness ,then its vanilly a little bit, the great thing is that u cant tell that someone is wearing flowerbomb, its diffrent on each person it mixes with ur body oils to be unique just for u! I love it and i discover a new note everyday !! Its my all time favourite so classy, sweet, floral, elegant, and classy!! I get alots of compliments when i wear so i dont think am gonna change it fooor a loopong time! I even spray it in my bed to have a nice sleep and to fell good!!! My best ever!
I am so distressed to learn that Victor & Rolf (L'Oreal) does test their perfume on animals! It's on the PETA website. Such a shame - we should all write in & petition for this unnecessary and cruel testing to change ASAP! This just ruined this perfume for me - how can I enjoy it knowing how animals suffered? Terrible!
if you are looking for a body milk for this perfume try Vanilla Freesia Lychee Korres body milk.. they smell the same..!!
I hated. It is just sugar-sugar-sugar, reminds me avon's treselle's flacon and avon far away I hate them either. So why I said that? Cause this fragrance showed like floral but I can't smell any floral notes. It is sugary spicy oriental. Disappointment for me :(
hearing the name flowerbomb i was fully expecting a boatload of florals type of fragrance, however a pure floral this one is not.
The jasmine and rose are there as one might expect, however they can only peak through the veil of slightly spicy vanilla musk.
All in all, a lovely scent it is femme and pretty while stil wearing big-girl panties. it has an up scale feel while still maintaining a flirty attitude.
I really like it, however the price tag is a bit off putting so I think for now i'll just enjoy my little sample vial.
Flowerbomb is divine on the right person, disaster on another. It requires a lot from the wearer since it is very strong, loud, sexy and confident; perfect fragrance for any woman who aims to be noticed and loves to bathe in the centre of attention wherever she goes. The perfume certainly lives up to its name because when sprayed on, it approaches other people with straightforward and bold bomb-like manner. You either love it or dislike it, there's no choice for less strong emotions than these two primary feelings.
it smelled luscious in the bottle, and I couldn't wait to try it on, but oh man! what a god awful reek and chemical mess! all i got was heavy heavy patchouli and musk! And it wasn't even real reek, it was very chemically and synthetic smelling on my skin. I wanted to like you so bad flowerbomb. goodbye.
The name makes you believe that its very floral. i dont smell any floral s in this but i think thats what it makes surprising
because its a delicious gourmand scent wich is creamy and sweet with vanilla in it poor thing is that its so exspensive but i think its worth buying it realy smells llike a noticible high qualITY fragrance
ts lovely romantic and at the same time modern and sensual
suitable for special occaisions and night out
My favourite perfume, even better than my trusted classique JPG perfume.
I initially loved this fragrance when it first came out but after testing it out I realized its just too strong for me. The sweet flora are cloying but again I like the idea, especially the tea note. If you're like me and you prefer something a little more toned down I recommend Tokyo Milk Dark Parfum de Cigarro in Chance. It smells of fresh figs and black tea but being a part of the Dark line has some depth. I also picked up Polge's Balenciaga Paris recently and prefer the break from the fruity chypre trend.
The first scent that captures me is a refined sugary tea, bergamot and a floraly note. Shortly after arises warm inviting notes of patchouli and musk. The scent is adorable and divine! The aroma is unique and although many others are trying to imitate it, they fail! A women's warm, smooth, sexy and sensual fragrance. An absolute winner!!
The aroma has good run for about 6-8 hours.
Love doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about Flower Bomb. It is literally one of the most perfect scents I have even breathed in. A scent for all seasons, this perfume can be worn anytime, anywhere. Shortly after I received it as a Christmas gift it became my signature scent; I wore it everyday for months. Its so agreeable to the nose, no one will ever complain about how you smell while wearing this. The elegant fresh and sweet notes combine and burst into the air upon application, a scent few will be able to forget. If anyone is looking to find that signature smell, I say look here because Flower Bomb will not disappoint! It is a little on the pricey side, but well worth it with great lasting power. A extremely well done perfume.
'Flower Bomb' is the only perfume in the world that I can't live without. For me,it is sweet floral vanilla scent though it doesn't have vanilla note.It can even beat my old signature JPG Classique. It is an excellent mixture of various floral notes with tea.I've never smelled such kind of beautiful feminine scent in my life. The scent is sweet, romantic, elegant, warm and fresh because of tea.It is not strong and does last for all day long.I greatly appreciate 'Flower Bomb' creators.
ok im dying for this perfume..smelled it once and havent gotten it outta my head..or shall i say nose...lol..in a gpood way! whoever dont want theres..ill gladly take it off your hands...or again, shall i say nose///=) ill even pay the shipping ...seriously! heheh
xoxo mel
I love this scent. It manages to be super unique in a time when there are at least 5 companies that have a version of pretty much the same scent. I have worn it every day for months now. It's just not my signature scent...I find myself dying to switch, first of all because it is a million degrees out and this is NOT a warm weather scent, and second of all because the scent is almost TOO unique...or maybe I can't handle patchouli every day for the rest of my life. Also, longevity is good but I wish the sillage were better. My friends say they can tell if I've recently been in the room so I guess the sillage is good but I don't smell it on me at all which I don't really like.
i love this scent . But the moment when i first spray , it gave me a headache until 5 -10 minutes later . I don't know what make it sooo strong for me . but then it turs into a very sweet fragrance (which i love!!!!) its creamy , sweet , flowery , its like paco rabbane black xs but richer !
This fragrance starts off decently. It starts off with a warm, almost caramelish brittle note. Then comes this god awful orchid smell that smells JUST like my bath and body works pineapple orchid wallflower. It is just a terrible orchid and it ruins the scent for me.
Alright, I just got past the orchid and I must say that this is a nice fragrance. I have a sample that I will enjoy but I do not think it is worth the price tag. Too warm and young for me!
Gorgeous, attractive, seductive and really sexy on a woman. When a woman walks past me wearing this my head doesn't so much turn as swivel as if possessed by the sultry and gourmand vapors that entice my senses with every ounce of teasing pleasure.
a very sweet perfume that i wore for new years and while i like it, i did think it would last longer. projection is fair. for the price i thought silliage would be greater. overall the composition is nice for this florally sweet perfume not sugary sweet. i still would pick my pink sugar over this. 7 out of 10.
Arghh this is not going to be received well by fans of this scent, but on me its horrid!!
It smells like dusty old ashtray/cigarette smoke with an underlying non discript floral, a sweet in there too, but yucky all round.
I Got iT.... it reminds me an old ashtray with old lollies/chewing gum thrown in, someone has sprayed an air freshener and burned some incense to cover the stench...that's exactly it!!. I don't understand why this is so popular :/
Obviously this perfume has become extremely popular, so my personal opinion of it will likely be very unpopular. I can't understand why so many people like this fragrance, it's cloyingly sweet and has absolutely no distinct floral notes. On the skin it starts off extremely sweet, slightly smoky and very strong (almost too strong) and then after 20 minutes or so it turns into an even sweeter scent and a spoiled milk sour smell (perhaps the floral notes?). I just can't get into it. On the plus side a lot of men seem to like it.
I love this one, it's extremely sweet. Smells like candy, sugar, smells just like cotton candy. Exactely the same. It has amazing lasting power, is very noticable, great projection. It's expensive but so worth it. OK, it's not original anymore, everybody has it, but I don't care, sometimes a girl loves to smell like cotton candy :)
Update: So funny, my mother (48) recently discovered this beauty in a sale at the perfumestore. She bought a big bottle and she was sooo excited! I told her she was crazy because I have a huge bottle and she was free to use it as much as she wants. Her friend (same age), bought this one too. So funny! She's discovering my scents and I discover the ones she wore at my age (eden, lou lou, poison, obsession, tocade,...) All those scents belonged to her!
Flowerbomb EDP is a powerful, sweet delight. It always gets compliments, and "what perfume are you wearing?"
The heavy patchouli is kept in check by the cool tea note, and the floral musky layer is sensational.
I see that so many other fragrances get compared to Flowerbomb, and I can kinda see why, but in my opinion Jimmy Choo(too much caramel), Black XS(too much vanilla) and all the other sweet fruity frippery just don't quite match up. I like all of those, but they aren't and never will be on par with Flowerbomb EDP.
The EDT version is also very good, a fruitier lighter take on this modern classic.
Just received this as a present. It smells so sweet and fresh there's nothing like it. If it was n't so expensive i would bath in it!
From the first spray it is clear to anyone that this is a pure unadulterated 'girly' perfume. I do not get any of the citrus notes mentioned in the description. I am after all reviewing the EDP which to me is a candied burnt sugar syurupy pleasure. It is very gourmand, i have difficulty picking up any form of rose floral in this at all. I can detect the Musk in this which is a god send in stopping this fragrance from turning into another sickeningly sweet and souless celeb fragrance. As this dries down it gets creamier and the warmth of the musk is delightfully handy in keeping this scent from turning to that sour/ body odour smell that sometimes happens when citrus is mentioned. A sheer delight to wear, people I work with demand to know what it is. I will admit I can be quite selfish and tell them 'oh I'm not sure, I just grabbed a bottle off my shelf and sprayed'. Naughty I know but Flowerbomb is my little secret, for now anyway.
This scent is "Da Bomb" LOL although more sweet than floral, this is a perfect scent for a young mid 20s to early 40s trendy executive. I love the pairing of the musks, vanillas, light florals with a hint of lime. You can wear this every day. As one of my favorites, my husband thinks to differ. Very popular, he doesn't like the fact that I smell like every other girl out there, so i only wear it on a casual day at work. He loves the scent don't get me wrong. It's just that he fell in love with my unique style. I still give it 5 *s !
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb is a caramel floral heaven! Flowerbomb is an oriental, floral, gourmand fragrance that dominates the perfume world. Deep notes of patchouli and sambac jasmine for just a hint of spice with light ballerina freesia. Flowerbomb is loved by all and truly a unique fragrance.
I bought Flowerbomb because I was too timid to try Angel. I believe Flowerbomb is a much more wearable version of Angel. Flowerbomb comes off as a warm gourmand to me. It does not have the monster sillage of Angel, although it also lasts long on me. (I spray it on before I sleep and can still smell it 8 hours later). This powerhouse fragrance from Viktor and Rolf is definitely a keeper. Sexy, delicious, sophisticated. Though it was Angel that paved the way for fragrances such as this, Flowerbomb is definitely more likable than it's legendary predecessor.
Probably my favorite perfume. It's so sweet, alluring, playful. I adore patchouli. It's not as sweet as Alien or Angel, which is a good thing. Definitely gourmand.
On me, Flowerbomb seems to be long-lasting, especially when combined with the body lotion.
It is a bit pricey, so I like to wear this on all special occasions, date night with my husband or on days where I just need that extra "oomph" of confidence.
This has been popular for years, but I didn't test it till recently. It's a soft floral.. I don't get anything else from it, except maybe an ambery floral with a touch of sweetness. It doesn't smell expensive. It smells nice, but not as good as the price tag. I think you pay for the bottle most of all. I'd like it as a gift, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. It did start a perfume trend with a ton of other fragrances. All soft florals, with either amber, caramel, or vanilla... and some patchouli. It's a nice every day scent, but there's no charisma or personality. If you don't know what to buy your gf, buy her Flowerbomb. It's definitely a fall back fragrance that's easy to choose.
Love this perfume, why its called flowerbomb tho confuses me as all i smell is the vanilla, its a very strong scent that lasts all day & can give a headache if you put too much on.
Wore it for my wedding so will always be my fav perfume.
I received a sample of this a few years ago and I couldn't make up my mind. The peppery note here was very strong and overrode my pleasure of the creamy vanilla scent in this. I recently dug it out of storage and I'm not sure if it's aged or if it's because of the colder weather, but this time it's absolute love.
I am fond of sweet scents, but not so much sickly or gourmand scents for everyday wear, but with this I can confidently say I would wear it in the winter time. It is sweet, but not overly so. Depending on your chemistry this can go masculine, but luckily for me it tames down into a lovely creamy vanilla with just a slight tease of floral and spice. Brilliantly beautiful.
Sickly sweet, but probably loved the world over by 14-20 something year olds
Ahh, FLowerbomb! :) Such a pretty, vibrant and alluring scent. Yes, it is sweet. No, it doesn't particularly smell like flowers. But you know what, it screams "I'm Sexy and I know it!", LOL! XD It's just so feminine, lively and sugary so I highly enjoy it. It is also very well done in it's composition as a whole, with it not being too heavy or too light but well balanced.
Many describe it as devastatingly sweet when it really isn't. It's more of a sophisticated sweetness but pails in comparison to powerhouse sweeties such as Britney Spears Fantasy. o.O And while you are being wrapped in it's lovely veil of refined sugar, bergamot, tea and floral notes...out comes this incredibly warm and inviting combo of patchouli and musk. I am truly not a fan of patchouli but the ways it's done here is perfection! :D
This pretty baby is expensive but actually worth it cause it's a scent that is often imitated and never duplicated ( effectively anyway ;O) ). And it isn't a scent that I frequently smell on women. Sillage is great as I expected and the lasting power is good 6-8hrs. So if you are a lover of sweet, feminine and sugar laden scents like me then give it a try. You just might find yourself a signature!!! :D
Orange, bergamont, and amber come together in a way that reminds me of day old cotton candy dipped in maple syrup. Sorry, that's just what I smell guys.
it's well made, i just don't feel it's worth the cult following it gets.
Loved this scent when I tried it on this weekend and bought a small supply. Hours later, I realized why I liked it - the drydown (to me) is very similar to that of Prada (2004). Oh well, I'll still enjoy wearing both!
Darkbeauty, I heard that song on the radio (it's actually a cool song) and I shuttered in disbelief. This is *my* secret (in my area at least) and I was kind of upset that he put it out there like that LOL.
I put this on a review of the Extreme version, but I think I'll add it here to help some people out.
**Comparisons between the EDP, EDT, and Extreme versions**
Weird enough, the EDT gives the most sillage, has a more citrus-y vibe to it, but lasts the shortest. It'll give you a measily hour of sillage, and about 3 hours of lasting power, but when it's there guys will LOVE you for it. I walked in a restaurant and got 3 compliments within the first hour, 2 being from guys. This stuff is powerful lol--use it wisely.
The EDP is a little smother than the EDT, more syrup-y, lasts longer, but doesn't give out that much sillage. It clings really close to the body in my experience. I don't know why people say it's loud and boisterous, because my experience is it's not! It also has a cigarette-smoke type of note in it that bothers me somewhat. I get about 30 minutes of sillage, and the rest of it's life (4-5 hours) it clings to my skin.
The Extrememe version smells just like the original. Yes, I still smell the patchouli and I get no heavy vanilla. A little, but not much at all. I still get that syrupy tea scent, which is more smoother. It lasts about 4 hours, with absolutely no sillage time past the first 10 minutes of wear. Skip this is you're not into skin scents.
Here in the UK, there is a brand of sweet, fruity soft candy with a strange but appealing floral overtone, that goes by the name of Rowntree’s Jelly Tots. And this smells exactly like plunging my nose into a bag of authentic Jelly Tots (I did indulge in such a fashion, when I was at school and had to budget my cash for sweets – yes, I was a Jelly Tots huffer, though some preferred Cherry Cola Bottles). I don’t detect any patchouli, but please bear in mind that I’m a ghastly hippy, and require something that at least approximates full-bore patchouli EO to get my antennae twitching. I like Flowerbomb purely for its penny-sweet appeal, but wearing it now would feel like dressing in knee-high socks and putting a teensy satin bow in my hair.
Anyway, I don’t need to wear Flowerbomb, because everywhere I go nowadays, many years after its release, I smell Rowntree’s Jelly Tots. Going to a Wetherspoon’s pub on a Friday night is like being back in a penny sweetshop, or the Pick ‘n Mix section of poor old Woolworth’s. What a very nostalgic experience: cute, sweet, innocent, and oddly ageless. IMO this perfume would ideally suit an ironic twin-set and pearls on a very young, slightly punky woman.
Flowerbomb has become so mainstream now that they even wrote a rap song about it. Seriously.... heard it on the radio today. Almost makes me want to stop wearing it. As if the world didn't know about it already.
At first I liked this but after an hour or so I wanted to scrub it off as it was making me feel sick and headachey. Also made me sneeze. The drydown reminds me of Allure but much sweeter. Not for me.
It is smoky, sweet and warm, I love it but I need to move on to the next one.Any suggestions for smoky oriental?
This smells like molasses to me. I only like it about 100 hours later when it has dried down to something tolerable. Sadly, this one is too syrupy sweet for me and I think it is best suited for teens or people who like smelling like molasses and pancakes. Sorry guys.
I am confused by Flowerbomb, nothing in the notes makes me think that I should smell sweet, but on me it smells like I have bathed in sugar. Can someone explain?
Sweet, powdery and sensual;it is a very interesting combination if you are searching for a memorable scent. An explosion of freshness as well as optimism create a dreamy, powerful and feminine fragnance.
Totally addictive !
I was always curious to try Flowerbomb after reading many positive reviews. Unfortunately, a bottle and a gift set is waiting to be returned to the store. I had enough experiments with the body lotion and the sample the sales representative kindly gave me. To start with I am a big fan of oriental perfumes and categorizing Flowerbomb as an oriental perfume, is misleading. A true oriental perfume should survive the test of time, it should take you to the Gardens of Babylon, to the Harem of Ottoman Sultans... But Flowerbomb just takes me to the entrance of the nearest Bath and Body Works. It is very ordinary and weak. On my skin it turned into a very mild and powdery baby-like floral scent, which is all gone after half an hour. A giant NO from me!
Nice Strong Sweet Floral Longevity and Unique !
On of the best fragrance i every smellt. Very feminine, and very sweet, but just as it neccesary. Like a balanced woman. It's her parfum, and makes her more attractive. Love it!
Uniqueness: 9/10
Erotica: 8/10
How i like it: 9/10
Good for a first date? I want to date with a girl who use this! Sophisticated choice!
Nice, but a bit too commercial I think. There is an extra something, and that something makes it too much.
Giannahazagunaka Buddhizt
on my skin, this is far from a 'sugarbomb', it's perfectly balnced as previus comment explaines... the tea and patchouli really tames the sweetness and the result (on my skin) is magnificance! I simply adore this perfume, to my nose it's perfect harmony , it's to me a very sexy but cool fragrance, it's allure is undeniable, but not in a way that's begging to be loved, it simply lingers on your skin knowing how sexy it is, and knowing that those who should notice ..will!
I have to say , I do now understand the 'jimmy choo' reference however Jimmy Choo on my skin is much sweeter than flowerbomb, so at first it was difficult for me to notice the similarities. I do also love jimmy choo, but becaUse of it's sweetness (grown up sweet not overtly candy or plastic sweet) it's not one that I wear often, only on occasion when my mood calls! But it most certainly does have that same patchouli misty poudre type feel, again the difference in the levels of sweetness for me really changes the overall effect of their performance. Amazing how much body chemistry plays a role. I wonder if (and which ones) certain notes are more susceptible to this kind of temperment.
It's very difficult for me to decide which pefume is my favorite, but i can say with most certainty that 'Flowerbomb' is definently a major contender.
Tea, bergamot, jasmine and a toffee-like sweetness... This is my all-time favourite scent, along with JPG Classique.
There are however some decent cheap-ish dupes for this out there. One of the Paris Hilton scents (Cancan, I believe) comes pretty close, but the best one IMHO is Black Peony by Zara. (For some reason, it's not listed on this site!) To my nose it smells almost exactly like Flowerbomb - perhaps just a tad bit more flowery. At 11 euros, it's definitely worth a try.
This is what i call delicious, feminine, and erotic.
I get something vanilla like in it, wich i think is what it makes it a major turn on.
I didn't want or expect to like this as it's so popular, but this really is a very nice fragrance. It is inexplicably sweet to me, with dry patchouli and a lot of musk, with flowers of orchid, freesia and rose resting softly on this base, but in no way overshadowed. Quite strong, great sillage and it is quite a distinctive scent. But very sweet and from the notes I'm not quite sure why.
I have read very mixed reviews about this fragrance - people love it or hate it. The first time I sniffed it in a perfume shop, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised, and even considered putting it on my 'I want' list. Then recently, a friend of a friend turned up to a night out wearing it. I could smell it all night on her, and the tea, patchouli and bergamot notes were quite strong, balancing out the sweetness in the most pleasant manner. At this point, this frag actually went on my 'I want' list. During my next trip to a perfume shop, I tested it again. And this time, I only got sweetness. Nothing else, just pure sugar/candyfloss sickening sweetness. I tested it again, then tested the Extreme version, but same thing. I now understand the "sugarbomb" comments, and I am thinking that this fragrance could be terrible or wonderful depending on skin chemistry. I will never buy it - and in addition to this, I wholeheartedly agree with the comment below: this has been marketted to sell the maximum number of bottles for the maximum price. So overall a no no.
You know what this is? It's a repackaged pimped version of Elisabeth Taylors 'White Diamonds'. Dutch clothes makers Viktor and Rolf, decided that they didn't earn money enough with their indeed not so succesfull pants and skirts and dresses. So the fledgling designers hatched a masterplan. What, if like Christ, we change water into wine, we let make a middle of the road floral fragrance and sell it as expensive ambrosia? Good plan, Rolf. Thank you Viktor! They snared some business men with 'Fantasy loving' spoiled daughters to put the money spinner into reality. Not to take a risk, Vik and Ro hired not one, not two but FOUR known 'noses' to put this money maker together. The noses Carlos Benaim, Oilvier Polge, Domithille Berthier and Dominique Ropion were paid handsomely to create a fragrance that could be sold to the largest group of buyers possible for the most money possible. A win win situation. So they fused flowers for the mature audience with musk and patchouli for younger crowd and for the urban fashionista's they put 'tea' in the pyramid. To lure the 'hipster sniffers' and silence possible critics. Then they paid bottle designer Fabian Baron a load of dollars or euro's for a so called 'risqué' design that is a blatant rip off of Agent Provocateurs 'hand grenade' bottle form. Agents 'pink handgrenade' was launched in 2000. Flowerbombs facetted handgrenade was let loose in 2005. Then the marketing company behind VikRo labeled it 'oriental floral'. 'Oriental' was hot in 2005. And it went well with the undetectabele tea that was put in the fragrance pyramid. Believe me, and I have smelled it on myself and on others, 'Flowerbomb' is as oriental as 'fish and chips', a pint in the pub or a Big Mac with a Coke. So they needed a big marketing campaign to brain wash their potential buyers that 'Flowerbomb' (the name!) was something radical, edgy, special and a thing to be bought to be 'in'. And, to give their 'middle of the road floral' extra credibility, they asked an excruciatingly expensive price, hoping that a lot of people would think: expensive equals something special, original and of high quality.
Sorry to be the one who says that the emperor has not clothes but this is a simple, dense floral. Like there are tens on the market. That are better made. And much less expensive. In the top there is bergamot and 'tea'. I don't smell tea at all. And nobody with whom I tested it, men and women of all hair color and skin color, smelled any 'tea'. Instead the über-flowerly middle storms in with weapons drawn, seconds after applying on the skin. Without pity. Like a real bomb attack. A flowerbomb, indeed, fitting name, I have to give VikRo that. A merciless assault of white flowers. JASMINE: BAM!, FREESIA: BAM!, AFRICAN ORANGE FLOWER: BAM!, ROSE: BAM!, ORCHID: BAM!. Merciless devastating white flower attack! You have the feeling of being a bee on a honey hunt: surrounded by the strongest flower smell possible. The base of musk and patchouli is simply wiped out by unwielding flower-attack.
This is a linear white floral. Nothing more, nothing less. They should have called it 'Moneybomb', because nothing, except misplaced snobbery, can account for the expensive price one pays for this medium quality plain floral. Avon has better flower fragrances, believe me. But it is heavy. I have to give that too to VikRo. Like Elisabeth Taylor's 'Rubies, diamonds, sapphires, passion...' are heavy. I mean HEAVY as in headache inducing and allergy attack provoking. If you have hayfever, avoid this bomb like the pest. And if you haven't avoid it too. I think that secretly Viktor and Rolf are snickering all the way to the bank. Selling a pimped up Liz Taylor floral in 2005 as the hippest thing since sliced bread! For 10 times the price of Liz's fragrances. Great marketeers.
'Flowerbomb' is such a linear freesia-fest, not broken or deepened by anything bitter, fresh or spicy that it becomes downright boring. Passers by on the street duck away to avoid the heavy 'flowerbomb'-atttact but you yourself feel like a bored zombie walking inside a giant freesia. When you spritz it on your wrist, it is like you have fallen into a vat of concentrated Gatorade or Fanta. When you spritz it on your neck, you risk becoming Tippi Hedren in Hitchcock's 'The Birds'.
And if it would have been a natural flower smell, I could maybe live with VikRo's money maker. But no. I have to give Viktor and Rolf that also: their flowers smell as synthetic as hell. So it are VikRo flowers, 2005 flowers, not Taylors flowers from the 80's and 890's that smelled a bit like real flowers, they can argue. It's no Taylor rip off because our flowers smell contemporary synthetic.
'Flowerbomb' is a hype pure and simple, a marketeers creation and wet dream where the fragrance is the less important element, paid dearly by you. I advise you to try it in the shop first on one arm and let the SA spritz some other, great florals on your other arm. Then compare. You'll thank me afterwards. First of all you'll have bought a really great floral and not 'Flowerbomb' and secondly for much less money than this 'Moneybomb' or 'Flowerbash'. Viktor and Rolf: as Dutch entrepreneurs, out to make a buck, I salute you! Fragrance lovers: smell the roses and 'Flowerbomb' first. Then make a decision with an open mind. Don't have pity with little Viktor and Rolf. 'Flowerbomb' made them a bomb of money. They are not poor struggling designers anymore. But a great fragrance, 'Flowerbomb' ain't. As marketing phenomenon, it is a hit.
All I can say about this fragrance is "OMG" I love it!!!! Very sexy!!!
I absolutely love it and wanted it for a while!! Now, I have it and its still one of my favorites but only problem is that it stays too close to skin:(
I fell in love with this scent at once, it's sweet, warm, and intoxcating, maybe even sexy. Rose, orchids, freesia are all top choices for a floral. The patchouli and musk add depth to it. Flowerbomb is a harmonious blend of all the components into a glorious and luxurious floral oriental.
I compared it with YR So Elixir. Flowerbomb is sweeter and warmer, So Elixir is spicier and more citrusy. I prefer Flowerbomb over So Elixir.
It's a very well created fragrance but unfortunately it seems I don't like it as much as I thought because I wear it rarely. Patchouli in heavy dose is what it has and I'm not a particular fan of it.
An edp version:
This is really a bomb - not sure if a FLOWERS bomb, but the bomb indeed. It has something dangerous, it isn't calm. As if a bomb was thrown on a ground. Mainly orchid comes into play.
It starts dark and sweet (cotton candy with patchouli). In my opinion oriental-chypre. Orchidee well detectable. White honey- like. It seems many perfumes were "inspired" by Flowerbomb, f. ex. Pure Orchid by Halle Berry, Sweet Darling by Kylie and Jimmy Choo. Flowerbomb is also similar to Black XS by Paco Rabanne in this sweet-dangerous, dark feeling.
The scent isn't as cute and easy as it may seem at first.
An edt version is less sweet and more dark, but somehow pale and worse lasting power on me than edp.
Bottle looks interesting, lasting power is good.
Flowerbomb smells to me like one thing: honey!
I know, there's no honey in it, but the sweetness of Flowerbomb makes me think of honey.
I'm not fond of sweet fagrances, but this is pretty good and different! Wouldn't buy it for myself, but wouldn't mind getting as a gift. Would defenitely wear,
I recently bought mine. It's not sweet for me, but heavily smoky, it reminds me so so much of CH 212 Sexy. It's a copycat?!
I like it, but, for sure, not a frag for the office, it's a frag for a night out, and a hot one.
Wonderful, over the top flacon and box, really awesome.
STRANGEEEE ! I don't get too much of the 'sick' sweetness as others say. (the cotton candy like) On me the patchouli and tea notes...are very strong. I would say a sugared patchouli ...
Sweet and spicy, cozy and show off !
Very very delicous .
Love It
it's just SO strong...and sweeeeeet. I almost liked it, and would probably like a toned-down version of it (maybe), but it's just too much for me. I smell nothing resembling flowers; this one is gourmand all the way, at least on me.
I love this fragrance! I'm a fan of heavier sweet fragrances such as Angel and L by Lolita Lempicka so this is right up my alley. It has a heavy sweetness to it but not the kind of sweetness in Pink Sugar that causes headaches. There is also a muskiness about it that makes it warm and more mature. Perfect for a rainy fall evening.
However, I don't smell florals in this...
I need to be honest i clicked 'like' before but have changed it to a 'dislike' after couple of days
This perfume gave me a sense of self-evaluation when i realised i DID NOT LIKE IT AT AlL, never did and never will. (YES I AM THAT SHALLOW)
i wanted to like it so badly, because of the exclusivity given by the price, the status that came with the fact i can say "i own a flowerbomb" and the fact the bottle is simply so gorgeous, and it had been the most hyped up fragrance for a long time. This is an overbearingly sweet fragrance, that starts off with a strangely so, medicinal note to it, worst of all, the sillage on this was that excellent it burnt a hole through my sinuses right to my brain.
To my nose it was like an intense yet indistinguishable blend of ultra sweet florals with a hint of tea leaves and a DENSE CONCENTRATED sugar syrup. To me this carries no sophistication , only that of equal stature of aquolina pink sugar.
Someone once said it was a fragrance "Perfect for the kiddies who want to indulge in kiddy perfumes. People who struggle to find individuality in taste tend to gravitate towards this fragrance." Probably the worst insult to flowerbomb lovers...
Edit : kkk so here we go, being slightly intoxicated and broken-hearted, somehow im really enjoying this oversweet fragrance, there is something delightfully comforting about, however i took care to apply only one full spray below waist down.
I could barely smell this and it was gone within the hour
If you like the way Flowerbomb smells but you can't afford the steep price...I highly recommend you try Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works because its the same smell to me, very yummy but at a much lower price.
Expensive, overpriced for a basic floral, light and short scent life. For the same price, try a Creed floral. They have a number to choose from and it's a wonderful, tried and true house. Think the marketing for this fragrance must have been a fortune!
I asked for this for a present from my (ex) boyfriend after hearing that Holly Willoughby loved it (and I love her!) plus Cheryl Cole plus some other celebrities that I think have good taste. I got him to buy me it without me even smelling it first.
I hate it! It's so horrible and sweet (and I like sweet, usually!) It is INCREDIBLY strong. It is like an immature teenage girl has sprayed herself with horrible perfume and doesn't realise that it is repulsive and it is stinking out the room. I pretended I liked it so as not to hurt his feelings. Yuk. My best friend is a flight attendant and says all her colleagues drown themselves in it and she hates it too.
I guess it's a total marmite fragrance - definitely try before you buy!.
I really like this scent. FLowerbomb gets me up and going in the mornings. I am not a very good morning person. I wake up, shower, make a coffee, dry my hair, put on my make-up, blah, blah, blah, blah. Then I spritz on some flowerbomb. Finally I wake up.
I dont know enough about fragrances to understand why I get this effect. But I have noticed that flowerbomb really does seem to wake me up and get me going. I have also noticed that it puts me in a good mood as well.
THis is not a special occasion mood. but an everyday fragrance.
For the price I expected this to be out of this world fabulous but it was just ok...I don't love or hate it....I guess I like it.
I do like it because I'm attracted to sweets, it is also light and not too overwhelming. You definitely have to like gourmands though. The drawback is the price and I think everyone agrees with that. Somehow you can get something light, pleasant and sweet without the heavy price tag. But the scent is something I would love to have just the same. I will try Rihanna and see if it comes close. I vaguely remember giving it a spritz and finding it pleasant but I was in a hurry so next time I'll take my time. For now I'll just keep getting free samples of FB.
I love Flowerbomb! Whenever I smell it on someone, I have to get slightly closer to them to smell. But DON'T spray this several times. It's VERY strong and heavy.
P.S. If you want to get a cheaper version of Flowerbomb, get Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works. They smell almost exactly the same.
Found another dupe, it's called Black Peony and it's from ZARA (and it's only 10 GBP) ;)
After reading some praising reviews - I decided that once I smell "flowerbomb", I'll fall in love..
expectations were extremely high, I admit, but I could never imagine how much disappointed I would get..
smells sooo sweet, almost got nausea.
It was so bad - I didn't get any note except for "sweet"
smelled like a "teen-celeb" perfume, not a respected brand.
Too bad I can't mark here a top note as Sugar.
I had this perfume but I couldn't finish the bottle...
Now my cousin uses it...and I just can not stand this smell, its just like something too sweet, too intensive almost sticks to your face... doesn't give me headaches, its just I don't want to be close to the person who uses it!!!
Now I can understand why my boyfriend didn't like it!
The name is beautiful but not for this fragrance ;)
I was in love from the first time I smelt this as a tester in Vogue UK. I obsessed over it for MONTHS but with the prices starting at around £50 here, my parents couldn't quite justify buying it for any old birthday. I waited a year for this sugary floral perfection to finally be in my life. I wear it any time, any season because it just is that amazing.
A white floral confection.
Sugary Jasmine Sambac,Orchids & rose, hard boiled (candied) patchouli, topped off with a refreshing tea note, strong sillage with milky and powdery undertones.
Love or hate! This is HUGE in the U.K, thanks to Angel, gourmand perfumes have become very popular and Stepping into the fume counter is like taking a trip into Willy Wonka’s emporium or whatever, it’s all sugar, spice, candy, caramel, cupcake vanilla etc it’s tasty stuff but beginning to get bored by the same recycled genre 20+ years on... FB is different though, its extreme sugar note sets it apart as somewhat remarkable but still in the same league as coco M, Dior Cherie, L Lempika and so on.
Like so many, I too find the name of this delicious perfume misleading. To me, this is almost a gourmand scent, although definitely nowhere near as cloying as Angel by Thierry Mugler.
This is a very sweet scent indeed - I could have sworn it had tonka bean in it! However, the refreshing bergamot and tea notes effectively stop it from turning into Aquolina's Pink Sugar.
The flowers are barely noticeable to me, but still serve to make the scent more intricate. As I wear it, I also seem to detect a powdery, almost smoky note. (Do I need to add that I love this perfume?)
Dear Flowerbomb,
I have tried, truly tried, but I do not understand you.
In spite of your listed notes, you are no floral. You are Boston fruit slices in a bottle, assorted penny candies liquified, a poor rose swimming in simple syrup.
Descended you are from Angel, Lolita Lempicka, Euphoria, Coco Mademoiselle and Juicy Couture JC, yet they manage to be interesting while you twirl your hair and drool. How is it you are so astonishingly popular? I am shocked by it. I wonder if today's girls simply find no discernible difference between flies and men.
Poor Flowerbomb, a classic of perfumery you are not. You are to Coco Mademoiselle as Giorgio was to Poison. As your simple charms lose their appeal, your formula will cheapened, reduced to a 40 dollar EDT in Wallgreens for our daughters to buy discounted for their "naughties" theme parties, where the teenage girls of 2030 will dress like hipsters, dance to "Sexyback" and say "I can't believe Mom used to wear this!"
I like it, but not love it, mostly because it is over priced! It is more like a sweet and powdery scent better than flowery to me and it does not last. I could say it is unique because it is not like the regular cheap fruity-flowery scent that you can get at any drugstore. I do not know why, but I can get a lot of vanilla note even when it does not contain any according to the pyramid, who knows why!
So, for me it is a good scent but I would not buy it again since it is over priced and does not last long.
This does not smell like a flowerbomb at all!! I can only smel candy. They should have called it ''Candy stink Bomb''.
Cotton candy all the way - felt it crystalizing in my mouth
a DEFINTE NO for me
flowerbomb? i was expecting it to be a load of flowers but it is more of a stinkbomb
smells very alchoholic
¨This is a nice treat.
sweet ,spicy and warm. I cant say that i can detect so much the flower in this one .except the Orchid. but i guess there is different kinds off orcids aseell. normaly i dont like , But in this its very good.
Its very strange to not see vanilla and cocoa listed . To me this is so gourmand .warm vanilla and chocolate. And a hint off the Orange flower and a tiny wiff of jasmin.
have i tryed this whitout knowing the notes i would not have thought this to be floral at all.
This is almost as good as flowerbomb extream. Like it very much.
It settles down on the skin and grows into a realy nice Earthy Patcholi gormandy treat.
i cant understand that this does not last on others skin.
I sprayed one spritz after job yesterday . And when i woke up this morning i could still smell it very strong.
Love it . normaly my skin eats up almost every perfume . But this one lasts and lasts on me .
a keeper for shure
This one smells very nice, but it smells exactly like all the other WAY more inexpensive gourmands in the shops. It`s not worth the VERY big price tag. I would say that it smells like all the lovely sugary gourmands mixed together in one bottle - Fantasy, Can can... you name it.
I get no flowers what so ever, thankfully, since I don`t like flowers. Why the heck is it called "Flowerbomb"?!
This is great perfume-I love it.
Flowerbomb is a sweet oriental floral, I can smell the Jasmin & patchouli, It always smells better when settled, initially it smells like sweet lolly juice, but it settles nicely. I actually find it smells great on my clothes when applied, that little bit that sprays on my clothges smells amazing and very exotic...
It's one of my personal favourites..
I get more black tea in the Extreme version, which I like, and was hoping to find it just as prominent here as well. The original I think is more sugar based. That said, I still enjoy it and will wear it in place of Extreme because Extreme is just too darn expensive. The sweet burnt sugar in this can be somewhat annoying, but if you use it in moderation, it can be just the right amount of yummy! Maybe start off light and then touch it up throughout the day, just so the sweet isn't in your face all at once. Flowerbomb is a keeper for sure...
This is a bomb alright. But not a flowerbomb. This is a sugarbomb as many have pointed out before. I do not get those flower notes. They are so artificial all I smell is caramelized sugar. No, overly burnt sugar. If one applies sparsely it might be an OK evening wear. But alas girls tend to overapply this. And this is no way a sexy fragrance. I imagine a cute young girl who likes candies a lot could wear this fragrance. Also could be a good choice for a high- school ball. Ladies please do not wear this in summer. And please do not overapply. Thanks :)
I have this perfume. ( extreme is somethimes not so nice on my skin, a bitter smell left after 2 hours )
I prefer the edp from flowerbomb over all flowerbombs). When you can get your hands on Truly Cherish Marks and Spencer, you also have the smell of flowerbomb, only for less.( and truly cherish came out before flowerbomb)? But it is hard to get, only in the UK.
This scent is a huge slap in the face. There is just so much going on that I have no idea what to think. Not for me.
When i first smelt flowerbomb on a piece of paper, i was not impressed at all. It was very sweet, like the pink sugar, which is revolting. But after spraying it on myself and letting it dry and mix with my skin and scent, it smelt absolutely AMAZING! the staying power was great as well. it wasn't overwhelming and everynow and then, i would get a whiff of myself and think,"damn, you smell good"
Maybe rhianna rebel fleur and flowerbomb have similar notes at some points (def not in the opening, though) but they live two completely different lives. actually to me it seems like flowerbomb is all opening, till it dries way way down. as if there are only two stages to it.
I finally got a chance to try this and I just do not get the hype about this scent.. It is just a strong, sweet (way tooo sweet), juvenile and to me unsophisticated smell.. I imagine young girls would put this on to feel sultry and grown up sexy. But who wants to smell like a candy stinking teenage girl? Definitely try before purchasing as it is known to induce headaches.. Not pleasant, not impressed.. Sorry V & R!
Smells good and feminine, but I expected a much more flowery and tea-based scent.
This is much more candy-like. Almost sticky sweetness.
I have smelt literally hundreds of different designer perfumes and nothing has knocked me off my feet like Flowerbomb. It is absolutely exquisite. Sweet , but not sickly sweet. Sweet with warmth, depth and an 'edge'. You have heard of 'comfort food', well for me this is 'comfort fragrance'. The minute I spray it on I am transformed from this grumpy, pyjamaa clad 'where's my coffee' woman into a smiling, elegant femme! I pushed Chanel and Dior off my shelf for this one! Absolutely stunning fragrance, utterly feminine and I just can't imagine another perfume ever topping it. Destined to be a classic and women will still be reviewing this exquisite fragrance in 50 years time! And what is even more wonderful, I even get a lingering smell of this delight on my clothes and skin after 10 hours! And the bottle...gorgeous!!!!
Cotten freakin' Candy! walking down the runway of the county fair on a hot steamy summer night with the one you think you love or do just for that night or a trip to disney world watching the parade of lights, although it smells a bit more carny than that. freshly spun pink sugar--one of my favorite foods!! but I don't think I want to smell like it. I adore jasmine, bergamot, tea, spice, you can keep the patchouli, but wow a wondrously sugar filled smell. I'll have to go back to it, but eh? not wearin' it. but I'll come back and smell it.
Sweet, sweet, sweet! I got a sample for the tea note but all I get is sugar, cream, and something cheap smelling. Eugh! Doesn't work for me at all. Maybe good for an under 20 but there is nothing refined or elegant about this scent at all. I did so want to love this.
To borrow a phrase from when I was in school... Flowerbomb is the BOMB! :) It is an amazing fragrance capturing the floral scents in a rich sweet fragrance making one think of a complete BURST of fragrance. It is expensive but worth every penny. It does wear strong so little is required during application to be able to smell it. It is long lasting and has all day staying power! It's beautiful, fun, and attention grabbing. Compliments a-plenty with this fragrance! I can't count the number of times I have gotten stopped while wearing this fragrance and asked what I am wearing.
I purchased a week ago,i'm wearing it in all times, enen going to sleep,i love it,i've never loved sweet perfumes,FB is both sweet and flowery,so elegant and classy,i recommend to all of you, you'll really love it so much
Such a lame name for a fragrance that doesn't even smell like flowers.
this perfume is nice but pretty expensive
Another very sweet fragrance. The combined smell of the notes sends me to a candy world. A candy made of flowers. I like it for a warm summer night would go perfect.
My favourite perfume :D i love it !!
This one was my signature scent for last two years and after that i get tired. It is too sweet and too heavy. And like sugar bomb.Well, for the winter time is can be ok,but for the summer not subtible at all.
Very expensive but long lasting perfume. Always smells great on your clothes for days later after wearing it, it is quite a sexy scent, I can't always smell it on myself but I recieve so many compliments from others when I wear it, so its obviously a hit!! Love how it smells on my clothes, I also love the body lotion when worn under it. The patchouli, vanilla, Musk & jasmin are what I smell, and at different times. Initially when it on I can only smell the patchouli & its a little strong but all the other scents surface in time, within about 20 minutes of wearing it smoothens and the flower scents appear, the patchouli gives it that exotic, sexy scent!!! ...
A bit similar (just a bit similar) to Paco Rabanne Black XS for her and (I guess that's could be for tea) Burberry The Beat, but FB seems to be more "expensive". I smell chocolate and orchids in it.
Simply magical!! This perfume is a double agent. At first spray, close to the skin, it smells pleasently sweet and spicy. After approximately 10 minutes, the people around you will begin to smell a sillage of a lovely bouquet of sweet flowers. This scent is stunning! I have received countless compliments from my co-workers and friends.
My best experience, was the first time I wore it. My husband gave it to me for Mother's Day.I sprayed it on my wrist and on my chest while on our way to Disneyland Ca. When I first smelled it on me, I thought to myself, well,it's kind of too sweet for me but, it' was a very thoughtful gift from my husband. I'll give it a try anyway. Well, while walking around the theme park, I began to wonder, who in the crowd was wearing such a beautiful perfume with such an amazing sillage. I had to find out because this person was also getting on the same rides as we were. I needed to know the name of that perfume! Finally, I realized it was me!! I was so happy!!!It made that special day for me even better. I have used it as my signature scent ever since. Thanks hubby!!
Amazing!!! wonderful!! such a charming, expensive smelling, long lasting, sweet- oriental floral! I find it to be a warm deep scent, for a real lady! loved it from the first sniff!
Don't ever say that Flowerbomb smells like other scents - it is totally unique! What seperates it from other flowery, sweet scents is the *quality* of its composition. Just based on the classifications of flowery and sweet, is to not pay attention to how it has been put together. It's like they say: "there's nothing new under the sun" BUT, "what makes it different is how the elements are combined". You have gotta be blind to think this smells like Angel, Wish or Fantasy or something. I truly believe there is something magical in Flowerbomb. It always reminds me of fairytale princesses, rainbows and little ponies from my childhood. And though I am all grown up, I will never get tired of it :)
I love it, the dry down is marvelous. Powdery smell of something :) and it last for a whole day, almost at it's best when i go to bed.
for me all the flowerbombs are very good.
This is one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelt. In fact so much so that I don't want to use it & waste it lol! I think its good if you want someone's attention, too pretty for everyday use!
The first notes of Flowerbomb hit me in the solar plexus but not at all in an unpleasant way, the burst of the initial notes was so unexpected... Strangely enough, I dont get the flowers though at all, just a gloriously rich slightly oversweet warm candy smell mixed with the aroma of beeswax, fudge brownies and an expensive furniture polish!!! Oh wow I thought, yummy! I fell instantly in love with this perfume! Staying power was good although the drydown is nothing like the opening notes: 1 hour later the perfume faded drastically and 5 hours later I can only detect a faint but sweetish scent of musk. I wont be buying this perfume now. Such a massive and impressive sweet introduction which just mellowed down into something so disappointing, such a pity!
Flowerbomb is wonderful. Its quite soft in my opinion but lasting. The flowers in it kind of blend together so well you dont really get a bouquet smell from it,its more like just a sweet uplifting, romantic scent.Highly recommend this to anyone,no matter what kind of scents you tend to like.
Surprisingly I don't smell the flowers in Flowerbomb. I smell sugar candy. It's sweet but fresh, elegant & rich perfume. Almost sparkling. Lasts all day on my skin. Sweet but not overpowering. Overall - great. I would buy it again.
Great as a daywear but also for a night out.I love it :-)
Sexy and extremely sensual.
It reminds me a bit to B&B works sensual amber, but this one is way much glamorous and premium quality.
You don´t need too much to get noticed so please don´t over spritz, It is pretty strong!
lovely and feminine, it is expensive but it is worth to spend your savings on it.
This perfume has a special place in my perfume wardrobe. A lot of my friends have bought this after asking me what perfume I'm wearing, I'm happy for them that they love this as much as me but still I feel like I wanna keep this little treasure for myself. It's hard for me to understand how you could not love this pretty little scent, but as with everything we are all different (luckily!) with that said I can still understand that some people have a hard time for this, it is sweet, yes. But I adore these kind of vanilla sweet sugary scents, actually I'm more towards those type of scents than just regular fruity sweet scents, they are nice but they are often quite boring (not always tho) in my opinion.
Flowerbomb doesnt get boring, it devolops lovely on my skin! I wore this last night when I took a late night walk with my best guy buddy and he loved the perfume I was wearing and even said it was one of the best perfumes he had smelled on a girl in a while.
As long as they keep selling this I think I'll always have a bottle of Flowerbomb.
Sweetnspicey says it perfectly. I will also add that FlowerBomb smells like cotton candy at the carnival. I am very grateful I had a sample before buying. I feel a headache coming on.
Flowerbomb smells nothing like flowers. It smells like vanilla, sugar, and patchouli. For a moment it smells really yummy and nice, but after a while it starts to smell like rancid corn syrup. I would never buy this. There are much cheaper fragrances (albeit celeb fragrances like Fancy and Fantasy) that smell better.
To me this is less a flowerbomb than a candy bomb. By now there are so many inexpensive scents out there that smell almost the same (candy cloud). It's not my kind of perfume anyway. I quit on gourmands.
This is totally amazing...I'm not the kind of people who like flower stuff, but this is great :)
Classy, warm, sweet, feminine, flowery, rich, luxurious, intoxicating, seductive, floriental fragrance!
It starts out with an explosion of heavenly bouquet of flowers, beautifully blended together to make a sweet, feminine, seductive combination!
The dry down is soft, warm and velvety with tiny hints of vanilla.
I would say this was a cross between an oriental floral and a gourmand fragrance.
The sillage and longevity is fantastic! One spray and the scent last all day, so no need to keep reapplying.
Only one spray is needed as the fragrance is incredibly powerful, more than 2 sprays and it could become overpowering.
Could be worn any time of day and any season. But to be used sparingly in summer otherwise it could become cloying.
I am usually prone to headaches with oriental scents but Flowerbomb is one of very few oriental fragrances that does not give me an headache.
This is the sort of fragrance that will enter a room before you do. One that is bound to get you compliments!
The only thing I can fault with this fragrance is the price!! Expensive but worth it! ; )
Flowerbomb = Sugarbomb = Love!! ♥
This isnt a fragrance I wear, or would wear.
But... My lovely friend wears this and has recently started working with me. Every morning I can smell her fume in the locker room and it makes me smile. Its a juicy sweet frag with a real rounded oomph!Pretty florals and on the whole is suited to a vibrant, classy and happy girl. (very much my buddy)
A little update:
I bought this perfume today, and I can't stop smelling myself, haha. From now on, this is my signature scent. However, it's lasting power isn't the greatest; after perfuming myself in the morning, I have to re-do it in the early afternoon to make the scent stay all day. But to me, it is definately worth it!
I was seriously considering buying a bottle the other day, but it hit me that Flowerbomb smells so much like so many other (cheaper) scents that I could not justify the price. It's also lacking depth for being so expensive...Aquolina's Sensual smells very similar but has a better base to it.
First and foremost, I fell for the bottle, but after trying it on today at our local perfume shop, I can't part with this scent! It's very flowery yet sweet; I agree with the others who also thinks it's quite caramel. However, I don't feel that it's oriental in any way. I connected immediately with "Flowerbomb", making it my signature scent, and as soon as I get money (in two days) I will buy it!
Eurgh! Horrid! Sorry, Flowerbomb fans, but I can't stand it. I love the bottle design but that's as far as it goes. I don't detect any of the florals or in fact anything except headache-inducing musk and something overly sweet. Should have been called "Muskbomb" instead. If you do wear it, please apply sparingly! ;-)
This is a delicious fragrance! Imagine frosted flower petals. Heady and intoxicating, it is rosy enough to put a smile on your face...a "must smell!"
i have tested vr in napoli and i have realized that this one is identical to my signature fragrance anticipate intense, is gorgeos so my anticipate, but i will not buy it since anticipate has 1/5 the price . if u are looking to save money try this one .
Love this scent so much ! Its just lovely ! It has a great lasting power and smells so unique ! It does smell very woodsy and vannilla to me,but also warm and sweet.
Finally got a bottle! I love flower bomb! It's whimsical, dreamy, subtle and sweet but not too much sweetness... the balance is beautiful. love <3.
A very romantic' distinctive, and sweet fragrance! I am IN LOVE with it. I expected more of an explosion of flowers, but it's SO much more than flowers. You can really pick up on the tea, and bergamot after a few whiffs, then it starts to mingle with the jasmine, musk and freesia which balances very nicely. After a while(on MY skin) even though it doesn't contain it, it dried down to reveal an almost caramel scent! I guess my skin contains caramel? (haha) The caramel is similar to the caramel in Pink Sugar. Best perfume I've DEVOURED (lol) in a very long time.
It was the strongest perfume I ever had, normally I don't like strong ones but I love this one. It is so elegant and sexy... Definitely it's a unique smell as soon as you smell it you understand what it is...It will be a classic and its high up on my top 10 list.
I tested it several times in shops : nothing special to me. I was disappointed.
1st pschitt is floral and sweet then it doesn't smell anything. Too light for me, and too expensive.
Everybody seems to like this perfume, so I would like to try it on my skin during 1 day at least.
N-B : I was surprised when I tested Flowerbomb again (july 2012) : it's like a sweet Yria to me. Perhaps because of vanilla and white flowers.
The idea of 'sugared-flower petals' really appeal to me, but this one is hardly a floral at all. It's sugary alright, a warm fruity-floral gourmand concoction with a patchouli base, similar to Angel and many, many others (but so much more pleasant than Angel). Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of candy scents like these, but I own enough of them. Want to try a true 'flower bomb'? Chloe's Narcisse is one...I expected this to be a 'flower bomb' in a similar vein, perhaps a more current, younger version, so I'm kind of disappointed. It's not at all a bad scent though, I would happily wear it if I got a bottle of it (for free)...it's just not special enough for me to want to spend my money on it, it is over-priced for what it is.
They should call it Sugarbomb instead.
I can smell the tea and sugaring vanilla, not so much floral. It dries down to sweet musky scent.Flowerbomb is very youthful and warm. I personally love sweet scent and so does my husband. If you like Nina Ricci Nina,Pink Sugar or Miss Dior Cherie, and Bath Body Work Sensual Amber you will love this one. It make you feel pretty, friendly, and delicious. Not too strong to offend any one.
The only complain that I have is Flowerbomb does not have very good staying power. I have to reapply every so often. I would love it way more if it was cheaper. Yeah this stuff is very pricey.
Smell this blindfolded and 100% that you won't be able to distinguish it from other millions of generic sweet floral perfumes of the last decade or so. Awful!
Rating: 4/10
Definitely overhyped and waaayyyy too expensive for what it is (mediocore scent)... Have a full 1oz bottle that i'm struggling to use because I own far more better perfumes to choose from!
Was expecting this to truly smell like a flower scent, and was surprised when on my skin all I smelled was a sweet vanilla. Not really sure why its called flowerbomb when I smelled virtually zero floral scents in it? Not that I have a problem with the way it smells because its great, but it was not what i expected at all.
I would have purchased when it first came out, but it dried down to a gym bag on me for some reason. Weird! Oh well, it was too popular anyway! Lol!
Well i like it, but i dont know why but its not special or unique!!! I'm tired of it.
Lasting power is average.
On my opinion dont worth the price.
When i finish my big bottle (present from my mom) i wont buy it again.
But its just my opinion...i'v some friends that are crazy about it.
Amazing scent! quite pricey!! totally worth it!! very warm so is great for summer... very fruity! fall...sweet and warming... winter... creates an atmosphere around you that is sweet, warming, little bit fruity, and creates that expansive wintery feel.. very newyorker!!! and spring.... fruity and sweet...so it cover all year round... love it!!
It's not a bakery scent like some of britney spears' perfumes but still far too sweet for my liking.
I simply LOVELOVELOVE this perfume! its my favourite together with Lolita Lempicka´s first perfume. Simply awesome!
I have reviewed this lovely juice before, but I want to do it again! I have a scent "replica" from handmade perfume maker online (saved a pretty penny too!) The musk in mine is vegan, and animal cruelty free.
I love this scent so much. It is very complex to my nose. It is sweet of peony and orange flower, yet there is that warm and crisp tea smell, and when I bury by face into my skin,I smell that earth patchouli and that powder spice amber. This is very rich,it is so many scents that blend in such a delicious sweet candy tea earth harmony song of perfume!
Somehow for me,the smells all go together, and the layers change, and this one... well,she/he smells different at different times of day!
Also to Cylob gentleman: you wear this scent to your heart's content, and you go boy! I think it is so cool that you like to bend the gender ideal! I am the same way :0) That lady at the perfume counter sounds a little rude,if you don't mind me saying! We should all wear what we enjoy, and step forth onto the earth path with open minds and open hearts.
This perfume is so overrated and overpriced. I really don't understand all the hype about this boring, linear, cotton candy scent. I don't detect any flowers, just sweet chemicals. Good silage and long lasting tought. This is definitively a scent for a teenager or early twenties.
I got the opportunity to wear flowerbomb to a party yesterday. I adore this perfume, and now I know my fiance loves it. He must have said 10 times yesterday how amazing I smelled and wanted to know what it was. It was so strange that he thought it was Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works. Don't ask me why, but I guess he sensed some similarities, or maybe it was just because it smells that good, and his favorite perfume on me is Sensual Amber. This scent is very yummy and gourmand, and I would have to say this is in my top 5 of my perfumes. I'm saving this one for special occasions because I don't want it to be my signature scent.. I want it to be something special.
Cloying, sticky, and overly sweet and, to me, yukky. It's a pity, i love the bottle, and i like the name and i'd like to like it, but nope.
It's partly that darned patchouli, ruining everything again, it turns up everywhere (DAMN YOU ANGEL FOR STARTING THE TREND!), also it's far far too sweet. You feel like you've been dipped in sugar, and start being worried that ants will attack you if you go and sit on the grass at lunctime. If this was a non sweet perfume with all the other notes, it would for me be spot on.
I gravitate towards 'old lady' scents, anything non chypre created before 1960 I will almost automatically like, plus 80s power shoulders perfumes...mmmm...Flowerbomb is the total opposite of the 'old lady smell' perfume. It's 'MODREN' and I like to smell it on other people but cannot stand more than a few minutes on myself!
Now, hand me my Shalimar, i have to get this smell out of my nose...
With a name like "Flowerbomb" and a bottle shaped like a hand grenade one would expect this to be the epitome of urban chic. It is, in fact, a sweet, creamy, girly girl perfume. The only bomb in this one is the explosion of sugar. It's not quite as cotton candy as, well, Matchabelli's "Cotton Candy" but it's in the burnt sugar neighborhood. The opening of green tea and bergamot is disconcerting and doesn't work very well. The rest is classic contemporary oriental: a nice but bland flowery heart and a too much vanilla drydown. It's dreadfully overpriced. Still. There is something nostalgic and summery about this one. It reminds me of those long, lazy summer afternoons down South, sitting under our magnolia tree, sipping a glass of sweet tea and reading a book of love poems. If that's the life you remember or the life you always wanted to live buy a bottle, grab your fan, and head for the nearest magnolia tree darlin'.
Yumm! But so expensive in Holland :(
If you like this perfume but can't afford it, check out PINK HAPPINESS DELICATE MOMENTS by Revlon - it smells almost the same to my nose (in fact slightly better) and is waaaayyyy cheaper.
I'm afraid I don't smell sweet and overly refined, or anything like sugar, but if it was such a perfume, I would have to say THAT sounds GOOoooOOd! I smell imPACT, imPACT, imPACT baby!!! Like pink white honeysuckle tinged with suede, and a black, heavy oil slick, like the black magic of black cats prowling along the brick walls of the backgarden under the equinox moonlight. POWERFUL. THe EnD.
Strange, after 5 mins I could ONLY smell vanilla! No other notes what so ever. And vanilla is nice, this was just quite boring. I had expected a heady strong perfume, not the equivalent of Hello Kitty for H&M... Thankfully it was a sample!
A sweet, creamy, floral scent with nuances of rose, jasmine and orchid, and a very slight body of that which can only be a bed of patchouli and musk.
This is a very enjoyable fragrance and I would surely wear, was I female.
I have to agree with the other people who think that this perfume is overrated. It does have a pretty scent, but, (at least on my skin) it just doesn't do anything special. It starts prettier, but then turns into an alchol and generic scent. I don't hate it, but I just can't make myself love it.
This is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I was soo excited when it was given to me!
I'm not understanding whats so great about this. Yeah, it smells sweet and edible and lovely upon first spritz ....but seconds later it becomes so boring and has that gross strong alcohol undertone scent. I don't like it.
I think this scent is for a gourmand lover. It is sweet, and some may find it too sweet. It is also light with the tea notes that give this scent a balance as it dries down.
I absolutely adore Flowerbomb, as it will leave any man wanting to devour the deliciousness of this scent.
Some days it's too sweet, and other days its just sweet enough!
This is a very sweet and flirtatious scent.
I wanted Flowerbomb to hit me like Angel and Dolce Vita do, wham bam, but it never happened. There was just a nice sensual floral. Its was OK, but it fell far short what I'd hoped for.
I don't think that it wlll be on the market long at this inflated price. There are others cheaper that give the same effect,e.g.Boss Femme, Hypnose Senses, Ghost Sweetheart.
The name oversells the perfume (The aweful bottle doesn't!).
I prefer scents with much more character and verve so maybe I judge it a bit harshly.
Wow, I love gourmand fragrances and this has got to be the best in the gourmand group I have ever smelled. It is so amazing, and strong too. I love it
It's ironic that this perfume is called FLOWERbomb when I can hardly smell any flower in it. More like Sugarbomb...
I also experience the "baked goods" smell with this on my skin, and it is just wonderful. It's like walking into a cupcake bakery, with large floral arrangements. When it settles down, however, I get soft, leathery notes. It really is a pink fragrance, as the bottle suggets; however, it's not sickly sweet. It's quite complex, unlike most sweet perfumes which end up just smelling really cheap. I often am asked about this perfume when I wear it.
I don't think it's for everyone, however. I recently noticed a stranger wearing it, as I recognised the smell, however, it smelt horribly cheap on her, far too sweet. If your skin can handle sweet perfumes, definately try this one.
Truly unique and utterly compelling.
This to me smells like caramel. Very pleasant to sniff at, but when I wear it close to my face, all I can smell is the caramel, and very strong at that. Not sure I want to smell like that.
Absolutely gorgeous!...This fragrance is made with 12 kinds of flowers. I'm not sure wich one's exactly but it is an amazing fragrance. Its the Grand daughter of Angel, cause of the gourmand, and the cousin of Pink Sugar, cause of the sweetness. Its potent yet subtle. I adore it and any woman wearing this catches my eye in a heart beat
A green wind blows through the window...she comes to me brightly, smiling and alive with joy. She covers me with sugared kisses and makes me giggle, as her touch warms my very soul...
Sensual petal like caresses on my skin, as the touch of her rosy lips delights me with promises of ecstasy to come. Her silken and powdered skin feels heavenly on my own, and the absolute divine scent of orchids all about her makes me tremble with anticiaption and exhilaration that she is mine and mine alone!
As we fall to the ground and become one glorious creature caught in the rapturous fire of our combined souls, the dark and earthy scent of our love grows and becomes something no one else has ever experienced. Now, here, I am alive and there is no tomorrow, no yesterday...only now! Her and I locked in the throes of passion and spirits transcending this mortal coil...we EXPLODE!!
As it began, so it ends...covered in petals we gently and with the utmost care we lie there together in the warm and musky glow of each others essence and the magical balm we have created together...
;)
I own a "dupe" of this scent.
I LOVE this scent.Mine has vegan musk, and it's animal cruelty free. The lovely seller online, she adds vanilla to it. I adore it. I have never smelled the original of this and I never will. Please read my profile if you want to know why.
Oh my goodness!! I smell tea, tart fruit, swirling soft patchouli, sweet vanilla. This is very complex and so beautiful. I put the oil on my arms before I go to sleep, and I wake up with a smile as I breathe in deeply and can still smell this amazing scent.
I really could write a book about the way I feel for this scent. It has so many layers for me,and I keep going through bottle after bottle of this amazing scent.
Seems like I'm a sucker for patchouli, because I love this (as most of the patchouli's I've tried lately). A flowerbomb indeed, but not over the top, like the name indicates. The woman at the counter looked like she saw water burn when I said I thought I could get away with wearing it. But like I said before: I'm kind of a gender bender when it comes to fragrances, haha!
Beautiful fragrance! And a lovely bottle too...
8/10
I'm sorry , but i don't like it , it's way too sweet that it could give me diabetes :-( Sweet perfumes are ok as long as they're tangy as well .
Just my personal opinion anyway !
I find absolutely no similarity between Flowerbomb and Pink Sugar. Pink Sugar is a disgusting, cheap-smelling burnt sugar concoction, whereas Flowerbomb is a delicious oriental gourmand. Do not let yourselves be deluded by the name, this one is not at all a floral perfume. I can smell honey and caramel in here, it's so yummie I feel compelled to eat it. It is not a girly scent at all, it requires a very confident wearer to pull it off properly. I can imagine this to have been a perfect scent for Bridgitte bardot in her heyday - sexy, playful, alluring, and kitten-ish.
For some reason I love this one. Not quite as sweet as Pink Sugar and certainly for floral notes in it, but I agree it doesn't last too long on me.
Whichever reviewer here that called it "Sugarbomb" first, hit it right on the head. I was testing the EDP and immediately thought of my old bottle of Aquolina Pink Sugar that I have from highschool. It doesn't smell exactly alike, but it definitely has that same "molten sugar with peppers" scent all throughout. It lasted about 4-5 hours, and had a decent sillage, but no trace of any FLOWER ever developed on me, just a little patchouli in the dry-down. Darn.
However, I *LOVE* the bottle. Adorable little grenade shape, and heavy enough glass to actually use as a weapon. I almost want to buy it just to look at it on my shelf.
I tried it today...interesting perfume. Way too sweet at the beginning, luckily it becomes more and more bitter, obscure and intense.
Beautiful, clean, sophisticated, floral fragrance. Suitable for special occasion but you'll want to wear it every chance you get.
I really love this fragrance, but did not matter what I do; I use all line of this: shower gel, bath foam, body cream (not body lotion, the big jar), hair mist and the EDP, but only stay on me 1hr. Why? Even the flowerbomb extreme (I supposed the extreme was more strong than regular FLOWERBOMB EDP ), but on me died 1 hr. after use all line. In less 1 year I use 4 bottles of 3.4oz and 6 1.0 oz (I carry the 1oz on my purse, to aplique at least 8 to 10 times a day) of the regular flowerbomb EDP (not edt); 1 of flowerbomb extreme (get this for christmas) 1.7oz and only have a half in the bottle today (yes today after 12 days). Not matter how much use, always dies after 1hr. Yesterday visit a friend and use all line and the extreme and she do not mentioned nothing about me smell (need drive 1hr. to my friend house), when I talk lastnight on facebook ask her, You like my perfume?, and she say: sorry, it cannot smell your perfume during your visit :( At least I sprinkles 25 times in my body and clothes even in my jacket and nothing. I am obsessed with this perfume, loved the scent…. but I had is down on me, the 1hr. stay on me I feel like in clouds but then... just going...
I read all most reviews for this much more like & love, many dislike or hate; but, find only a few who does not stay on her the scent like on me (only 1hr.); all get long lasting even had impregnated in their clothes per days, but not on me or in my clothes. (I buy all line at macy´s). Sometimes my mom use the body cream (only) and stay on her all day, is not fair with me... anyway FLOWERBOMB is my favorite perfume.
For reference I used this to: coco mademoiselle, gloria chachare, lolita lempicka, miss dior cherie, chance eau fraiche, flower by kenzo, pleasures delight, elle by yst, etc. and never find one, at least one, stay on me for more than 4hrs. (gloria by cacharel and lolita lempicka stay 4hrs. on me), all the others down between 1 to 3hrs. Is very hard to me, because I love the perfumes and have a collection at least 100, many in sealed boxes; again, right now I am obsessed with flowerbom.
I read many other perfume reviews ( I can pass a lot of hrs. reading this for many brands ) and many say: this fragrance stay all day on me, but many of this I do not like the scent...
I detest sweet perfumes but this is gorgeous! A sweet floral vanilla fragrance that just screams yummyness. This has changed my mind on sweet florals forever.
Anyone who is thinking to buy this baby should test all versions first on their skin (a perfume addict should know this already).
Testing on paper strip: EDP smells definitely better than the EDT. But on my skin, EDP smells just like an overburnt sugar and I cannot smell any hint of flower from it. I agree to one of the reviewers below that the EDP should be called “sugarbomb” instead of flowerbomb.
But the EDT version, though less popular, it smells better on my skin and it is more deserving to be called Flowerbomb. Yes it is sweet too but not overly sweetened like the EDP. It is a little bit similar to La Vie En Rose version which is a lighter version.
I am definitely having the EDT version as part of my collection.
so anyone who has tested the EDP version and decided not to like it, should give the EDT version a chance!
for every of us every smell is different...for me theese are 2 different perfumes and they haven't nothing common ! i thing i i love flowerbomb and they would be similar with lolita, i suppot to like it, but i even hate! ;D
happy new year for all!!
not at all the same as Lolita Lempicka.... Flowerbomb I adore!!! and at the same time Lolita Lempicka i hate...openings are totally different, Lolita is sweet and uninteresting, but Flowerbomb is rich and opening is adorable, what I can't say about Lolita lempicka, what for smells very cheap.
I really want to love Flowerbomb because of the beautiful bottle (really, it is one of the most beautiful perfume bottles on the market). The scent is a pretty and inoffensive floral (I smell rose, jasmine and orchids) with seductive vanilla undertones, but it has no staying power on my skin. Flowerbomb disappears within 20 minutes on my skin, and considering the high price point, I'd expect much better wear. Oh well :(
This is nice.. but waaaaay overpriced for what it is! Ghost Sweetheart is very similar but at a tiny fraction of the price!
I got a sample of this today. Fabulous sillage and very complex. This reminds me a lot of Euphoria but a little less sweet (just a little). I don't think I like the ending because it smells a little synthetic. I think it's a good frangrance, but I would not buy it.
Sweetened Earl Grey tea, faint flowers and soft patchouli. Creamy, well-balanced & pretty -- especially in winter -- yet not quite enchanting. [3.5/5]
i have a 3 ml sample of this but i didnt pay enough attention for it as before it was released, I read somewhere or another that Flowerbomb was designed to evoke an explosion of flowers, and so I rather foolishly expected that it would be a big white floral. I like a big white floral almost , but that is not what Flowerbomb is...
today I was sampling some for Floof swap and i rediscovered this fragrance !! UM IN LUVE ladies :)
It starts with lots of sugar candy and a bit of citrus, and dries down to a sweet, slightly vanillic dessert of amber and patchouli. It is very smooth and creamy, with no hard edges. There are some flowers along the way, but they are not assertive. I should not think you would have to like flowers to like Flowerbomb ...
I bet For that matter, you won’t necessarily need to like patchouli to luve Flowerbomb ..it apparently uses a “purified” patchouli that's smells very clean, and largely devoid of the earthy notes..
used to consider it as a fragrance '' like '' a lot of fragrances , it is perhaps no surprise that many review of Flowerbomb I have seen mentions another fragrance that smells just like it. as for me the prime candidate seems to be Angel ( am I crazy ??!) :D , but Flowerbomb is a considerably more demure, well-behaved fragrance than Angel.
Viktor & Rolf have succeeded in creating an easy to wear perfume that is likely to have widespread appeal to fans of sweet florientals.
its my coming hunt !
Not only did this give me a terrible migraine, but it was so sickly sweet that it actually made me nauseous. It's very long-lasting, and you can't wash it off no matter how hard you try - which is great if you like the perfume, but if you're desperate to get it off, like me, you're out of luck. I've never been so ill from any perfume in my life, and it's hard for me to find perfumes that don't make me at least a little sick.
Sensual, charming, sexy, deep, sweet, alluring, cosy, long lasting, unusual, rich...... I could give you countless compliments, my dear Flowerbomb :-)
The fragrance is unique, it is not similar to anything I have smelled so far. Flowerbomb is not really that flowery, to me - it would be better called oriental vanilla, although vanilla is not even listed here. It is like a cup of the top quality organic Earl Grey tea with a slice of a tangy fruit dipped in it and a pinch of vanilla thrown into this magnificent elixir.
I never tried it before purchasing in blind a whole 100ml bottle of EDP and I am in love with it.
It has all the characteristics I desire from my perfect fragrance; it is sweet but not cloying, it possesses gentle flower notes, it makes you feel confident, sexy and when the wind wafts it at you - it makes you feel like a million dollars :-)
It has a great longetivity and sillage.
The bottle is nice and luxurious.
My lovely pet, the Flowerbomb...I will cherish the relationship we have forever :-)
I think this perfume is just ok. After the initial spritz, it smells great! But the drydown, on me, is nothing worth noting. It just doesn't flatter me, and I don't think I would get any compliments wearing it.
my new signature scent. i'm glad it's not so flowery. i get huge notes of vanilla, creamy bergamot, and some soft patchouli lying under there. i haven't smelled anything like it. it is sweet and classy. i will always spend top dollar on this one!
it is still on my skin after:
1) washing my hands with soap.
2)submerging my hands repeatedly in bleach/ multipurpose cleaner
3) submerging hands in vinegar repeatedly
4)washing dishes
5) doing smelly animal chores (horses)
6) submerging hands in bleach again
7) washing my hands
8) after all that, it is still there from 4 hours ago.
(not that I dont like it, I just had things to do and frankly it amazed me)
Middle notes smelled like......
Minty cotton candy
yeah, strange huh?
There is not vanilla shown in the notes, but I smell a lot of vanilla left as a base note on my skin.
I think its truly amazing what seasons can do to a fragrance, i smelt my little sample of this in the middle of summer and hated it, it was strong and very floral. Just tried now in the middle of winter, snow outside and all I smell is a faint creamy sweetness! which i like but alas it only lasts a short time on me, which is some thing else i find amazing, how dfferent scents can react and smell so different on other people.
I'm a late starter with this. Sprayed it on in Boots, walked out, bumped into an old flame.....he messaged me a few hours later saying he could still smell me....and it was good. A knock your socks off scent:)
on me, it's too sweet, its smells nothing special, nothing worth it. It's the same feeling you get with so many perfum, not original, just simply sweet, boring!
A better name for Flowerbomb might be Sugarbomb or Sweetbomb. This is a heavy, syrupy, sweet perfume.
On the plus side, it does have lasting power and once it settles, the drydown is really nice. I would recommend for cold weather if you like a sweet perfume.
Ugh, this scent is a little too much for me. It smells like an amped up Pink Sugar strangled by a bunch of synthetic florals.
After many trials, my conclusion is this smells like it was bottled by Coty and would make a great addition to their Red Door and Britney Spears line up.
While on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I purchased the 1.7 oz. bottle of this. I normally am not too fond of scents with patchouli in them, but this smells amazing. It is very girly and a bit sexy at the same time. I want to get all of the other products ( lotion, shower gel, etc.) to go with it. Maybe....christmas from my santa!
This is one of my favorite fragrances. I am not the floral prissy type but I do love this fragrance.
It LASTS all day, and I’ve gotten about a zillion compliments on it. Pricey, yes. Worth it, 1000 times yes. Can’t recommend it enough.
Check out the floral arrangement from the fifth anniversary party of Flowerbomb: purelyperfumes (dot)wordpress (dot)com
When I first smelled Flowerbomb it was a little off putting.. This & Opium are my cousins signature scents! While Flowerbomb does not smell bad, it leaves a heavy floral note to my nose. I only tested this frag on my skin once, but smell it everytime im around my cousin. It has worn on me & it smells good on her, altho its not something I would buy & wear, but I have learned to appreciate this frag for its development over time. I can see a man pulling this off. Its a neutral rating for me. Nothing more or less!
Flowerbomb is very rich, very sweet and makes me think of candy. In a pleasant way, and I could tolerate it in somebody else if used carefully. I can't detect Jasmine, which is a plus (intense Jasmine generally gives me headache). In the end (on my skin)it just leaves me with a powerful sweet vanilla/caramel halo. I like it, I might even buy it as I collect fragrances, but it's definitely not me. I'd think of cakes the whole day long if I used it.. :)
Now that I think of it, its drydown reminds me of "Ricci Ricci" by Nina Ricci.
With a name like flowerbomb I expected a lot of...flowers. The floral part of this is actually pretty muted.
The only way it could be referred to as a bomb is if what comes up after the bomb is a cloud of sugar and powder.
Also being a "bomb" I'd expect sillage. Yeah, not so much.
Once you throw the musk or tea (or blend) in, it starts smelling a bit sour on me.
There's is also some sort of chemical note in there that doesn't agree with me at all.
Here is my recipe for Viktor & Rolf FLOWERBOMB edp: take one part Chanel CHANCE, mix with one part COCO MADEMOISELLE and another part ALLURE. Stir the mixture together, then add an equivalent volume of white sugar.
There are flowers and patchouli in here, but they are deeply encrusted in sugar. Needless to say, this composition is very sweet and geared toward that narrow demographic of gals who find COCO MADEMOISELLE, CHANCE, and ALLURE way too savory!!!! Big, cotton candy-like sillage. Definitely not for me. Désolée.
This is my favorite fairy tale fragrance. It reminds me of Sugar Plum Fairy dressed in a pink and lilac tulle and dancing in a beautiful gourmet world where trees are made of marzipan and castles are adorned with vanilla flavoured ornaments.
It is sweet and delicate and so pretty. The scent goes into vanilla roses pretty quick after the fresh burst of bergamot. It stays sweet and cute for hours. The lasting power in EDP is magical. I could smell it next day.
I could feel a bit of jasmin and orchids but the flowers are not very pronounced. They just create nice sweet veil. Vanilla is not listed but smells so delicious in this perfume.
If I was a fairy tale princess I would definitely pour this potion on to attrack prince charming. But as a woman in a real world, I will enjoy wearing this perfume throughout the holiday season as I bake vanilla cupcakes and deserts.
This gourmet, sweet and cozy perfume goes so well with the festive winter season!
this one smell sweet. if smell it from the bottle it is definitely different from the moment u spray it out.
the opening it definitely fruity sugary sweet. i don't know what fruit is it..hehe..
then i can smell flowers, roses maybe? but still the sweet opening is remain.
drydown still sweet but then i can detect musk & patchouli but not to strong.
oh too many sweet word in my review..
conclusion is this is combination of sweet sugary flower+musk..hehe..it is quite heavy for summer, suit winter more :)
quite surprise for oriental floral to smell like sugary gourmand scent..coz i am floral fruity/gourmand type of person.this is my 1st time buying oriental floral, but i didn't regret..i loovee it!
the bottle is very the bomb!!
edited: now i know what fruit i smell..its PLUM..!!
I LOVE this perfume. It's sweet girly and pink. Plus the bottle is georgeous. This is probably my favorite for winter months.
I also say it has no flowers!!!! Just much sugar, I also smell honey. Too sweet and too strong.
I don't get the flowers at all, just a sugar bomb. Flat, hot spun sugar - like the dregs in a cotton candy machine.
I agree with cloyd42 that Cabotine is similarly sweet, and somewhat more interesting with sappy cut stem green notes for under $20. Aquolina's Pink Sugar is very similar to this scent - and easy to find for under $20.
Heck, if one wants to smell like a cupcake, they could just go to the drugstore and get Britney Spears Fantasy in the similarly round pink bottle and call it a day.

8.5/10
I would expect something more from the range of pricy scent especially FB such I do assure it wouldn't disappointed me but sorry my dear...All I have on me after sprayed it just only sugary sweety brown sugar ..so..ooo sweet and sweet no dept nothing special enogh just an ordinary floriental less floral but alot sugar essence...If you like sugar sugar and sugar ..this is for you.
to kian: no, the EDP and EDT do NOT smell the same, at all! the EDP is sweeter and more vanilla-ish, it's like a more quality and expensive "black xs for her", and it's quite long-lasting. the EDT, meanwhile, is like a lighter coco mademoiselle and its staying power is poor, 2-4 hours. i was so excited to have flowerbomb, but i ended up really disappointed, especially with the EDT, as these are quite expensive fragrances. the gorgeous bottle is not enough to warrant a purchase (too bad i did!). i've put this viktor & rolf fragrance in the "nice but not necessary" category. if i had to choose one, though, it would be the EDP, but i think if you have the perfumes i referenced above, you don't need flowerbomb. anyhow, it's up to you....perfume is so subjective! good luck! :)
This is one of those overhyped marketing concept perfumes that make me crazy. Gaggingly sweet and floral in that vague way that room fresheners are. If you a want bright unsophisticated floral that's much better try Cabotine. If you want a real sophisticated floral look to Chanel or Paloma Picasso--essentially the same price range but they're classics for a reason.
I completly misjudged Flowerbomb..At first I smelled it and was like ehhow! It's boring and to cloudy.. But I Was SOOOOOOOOOOOO WRONG! hUGE MISTAKE. This perfuem is amazing it a combination of sweet vanilla and musk. I wore just a couple of dabs with the sample bottle..And it was wonderfull.Everwhere I went I got compliments. One guy even ask me what was i wearing two times.Although the name is misleading it's and all together good fragrange.Pretty exspensive but worth it.
The best female perfume that i ever smelled!
This is soooooo good, sweet, charming,,sexy, and unforgetable for who use it.
Every woman should have this one.
FlowerBomb is just as its name, sexy, charming, bold, confident, and a little bit aggressive. Openning is a little tart, heart is sweet(powdery sweet like marshmellow) and somewhat spicy, base is fresh patchouli. Good sillage. Not suit everyone, but could sparkle on a right woman.
PS: Mine is EDT, I dare to say that the bottle is much more beautiful (smaller cutting surfaces and greater in number, got a nice effect of refraction of light) than the bottle of original EDP. Anyway, I would be happy if I have a chance to get an EDP, for some reviewers said the EDP smells better.
This is an ultramodern take on floral perfumes. It's sleek and minimalistic just as the design esthetic's of the house of Victor and Rolf. This perfume is sweet and feminine but very sophisticated without being snotty or overpowering. The lasting power is amazing and it's got great sillage too (EDP). The bottle is absolutely beautiful. This is a perfume that can be worn all year round as it hugs you with a sweet cloud of sweetness that just makes you happy. This is a perfume that would hardly offend anybody as it is very linear from beginning to end. It doesn't change much and may be suited for younger women.
This one is unforgettable.
I have always loved flower bomb, its heavenly, beautiful, special, sofisticated, perfect to stand out, so elegant, a very rich smell like other reviewer said.
A bomb of flowers and opulence. My nose has not experienced the pleasure of floral-oriental fragrances pleasure close to this one. Maybe Miss Boucheron is close, but its different.
Flower bomb is for the sexy lady inside every women, yes the one that loves to flirt, go to elegant cocktails and doesn't mind being the center of attention. Expensive, classy not overpowering, just perfect and long lasting.
I like the scent, it is delicate & pretty, it starts out a bit florally but quicky asserts its individuality. Unfortunately, my skin sloughs it off like water and it fades into the silent night never to disturb my sensibilities again. In a matter of an hour. Do they make an INTENSE version by any chance??
Flowerbomb smells like something I would find in a head shop rather than a high end perfume (at least on me). Instead of any flowers to speak of, the patchouli and musk come out immediately on me.
Just so all of you classy American's (and others)know, the latest reviewer of Flowerbomb made mention of a "Vicky Pollard". I happen to know (unfortunately) that this is a reference to a character played by a man on a British T.V. (sorry, telly) series. It is a very rude insinuation that people who enjoy this perfume are gossipy inarticulate delinquents...Tasteless, loud, ugly sex phone workers who have no class whatsoever. I personally find this comparison of someone who likes FB to having aspirations of being like this character vulgar, tactless, inconsiderate, impudent, abrasive and plain old simple minded. Just because one may not appreciate a certain perfume does not mean that one has to be demeaning or leave implications that persons who do favor a scent are imbecilic nitwits who don't have any class or a sense of smell. I so appreciate those of you who leave helpful, honest, straightforward yet considerate reviews that encourage camaraderie between the Fragrantica "family". To each their own, yes....let's just be respectful and kind in our analysis' please.
Flowerbomb. The name itself is rather intimidating and conjures up scent ideas to a lot of people that are similar to Chloe Narcisse or Estee Lauder's Beautiful or White Linen. Strong, silage monster perfume bomb's! I ordered this sight unsniffed, and took a rather expensive chance on a bottle. I nervously unwrapped the cellophane when I got it home, timidly took the bottle out of the box and gasped. The bottle itself is truly lovely. Very feminine and the liquid is pink, which also shocked me, as I was expecting a neon yellow (don't ask me why!?) or pure white/water color liquid to be inside of the glass. My first spray was full of trepidations and was just a little squirt on my leg ( I was too chicken to put it higher on my person in case I hated it, it wouldn't be so close to my nose!). It was enchantment at first whiff for me. Flowerbomb is too forceful of a name to describe this lovely, almost ethereal dreamy scent! It is calming, enchanting, romantic, clean, addictive. Yes, it has floral components, but they are subdued by the musk and patchouli. It is a patchouli that is more earthy...not like a head shop patchouli incense or like the old hippy oils.
If I could best describe this to you, I would tell you to wrap yourself in a very light pale pink covered butter soft cashmere blanket, picture yourself falling back through the clouds and landing on a big sumptuous down comforter and eating peaches and cream while you lounge next to the most beautiful flower garden you could ever imagine. That would be your Flowerbomb invoked feeling! This doesn't last too long on my skin, so I personally have several tricks up my sleeve to make my fragrances last longer. One of them is to go online and purchase a small copycat body oil of the same scent (my favorite organic website is somethinspecial.com Sue is a GENIUS mixmaster) and use the oil with a matching scented body souffle cream. Then spray on your fragrance. I also have had better staying power when I shower, apply baby oil all over my body and then spray my fragrance head to toe. After you are dressed, the scent really doesn't seem overwhelming because it is coming through your clothing, and you should be able to smell it at the end of a long day. Hope that helps with the lasting power issue many of you have had with FB. Cheers!
This scent is my favorite of all times since it was released. It blends so well with my skin as if its my own smell.
It is so warm and sensual, it is like a "living" scent. Staying power is incredible.
I think the bottle deserves every penny I spent.
I love love love this and can never give up on it.
This is one of my favorites. It was instant love with us. It's heavy and expensive smelling, sexy. My sig other holds me and buries his face in my neck every single time I wear this; it's his favorite. It has serious man appeal (the kind of men who don't like fruity girly smelling gals).
I love, love, love the bottle, but the juice is way too sugary smelling. I was really disappointed because I wanted to love it.
For everybody thinking, I wish this perfume had better sillage, try the Sonia Rykiel original EDP or Van Gils Aura her night. I consider them the upgrades on this concept.
Oh, how I wanted to like this! Alas, I was so disappointing by this. Not because I don't like it but because my expectations were so different. I was expecting something like a more rounded "Happy Heart". The name "Flowerbomb" makes you to expect something like a fresh-wonderful bouquet of flowers that is impossible not to notice.
I see that it is nothing like a fresh bouquet. Too perfumey, too wintery and quite heavy. (Great packaging though..)
Love my flowerbomb, all i have to say. Have had it since it came out and I just love it! Ordered flowerbomb extreme, can't wait to smell it.
when i first sniffed it i wasnt impressed for all the hype this has gotten,so i sniffed again to make sure.Still unimpressed :(
to me its a really soft sweet flower,an everyday scent.
Just got the edp and I love it. Feminine, sweet, but NOT like Angel (that I can't stand; sickly sweet). OK staying power. I love the softness, not heavy at all. A nice surprise since I expected something much less sophisticated.
Does floral woody gourmand exist as an offalctive category? Well, that's how I would describe flowerbomb. The tea in the top notes gives a dusty impression, but that lasts only for a couple of minutes. The next very long lasting phase is a feminine, playful and angelic combination of florals, patchouli and cocoa.Very balanced, creamy blend with soft woody edges ,shiny floral glittering waves and an excellent soft sillage.
One word: BORING!
From what I heard I thought this would be the smell of the century but it just reminded me of Roma or Tresor (although both mentioned have more character). It's just powdery and I would classify the scent old fashioned. Don't get the hype...
I was able to sample this recently. My first impression was: this has way too much of EVERYTHING! Flowerbomb is way too sweet for me (and I love BS Fantasy). And even worse, its slightly oriental along with the sweetness. I enjoy oriental scents, and sweet scents; but not sweet/oriental scents. (odd.. I know). I see that so many love this one, and I'm so glad there are so many that do..so good for you all that I will never smell similiar!
for my nose 2 totally different perfumes...both are sweet, yes, but can can have candy sweetnes-so a bit cheap, but Flowerbomb have that "expensive" and deep smell..
oh, I got this perfume from a friend of mine and was initially excited, because I haven't tried it before.
As it turns out, Flowerbomb is extremely similar to one of the other perfumes have - some unknown brand I bought just out of curiosity several months before. The resemblance is so astonishing, I couldn't tell them apart: the only difference is that Flowerbomb seems sweeter and the other one seems to have more prominent tea notes.
I thought my original perfume could be a copycat of Flowerbomb, although it wasn't too cheap to be a simple imitation, and it had no reference to Flowerbomb whatsoever.
Generally speaking, i like them both: it's a sweet, "girly", a bit candy-like scent; but contrary to the name, no floral notes for me! I expected more from Flowerbomb...
Im on the fence w/ this one... Im getting mostly vanilla in this one w/ traces of something remotely floral... Very feminine and not the least bit loud... Need 2 see how long-lasting it is b4 purchasing especially @ the price lol...
It starts off nice, a little sweet for my taste, but nice. But I don't like the drydown at all. And that makes it a no for me, because that is wat you will smell like the whole day.
On me it is icky, powdery, and completely average. Smells almost like a little girl's "play" perfume, very cheap. Definitely try before you buy, because on my skin I'm definitely not getting the floral scent that other reviewers got.
FLOWERBOMB is sweet floral, lingering fragrance, very chic.
FlowerBomb is really starting to become one of my favorites. It starts off sweet and stays that way. I'll have to test it for a little while longer to see if it does change on me, but I love it. It lasts forever.
Now, onto the price. Is this worth 164.38 for a 3.4 oz bottle? Absolutely not. For something to be THAT much there should be something that sets the scent apart from others, in my honest opinion. It could be the concentration is upped, the scent is unique and there's nothing that smells like it or it could be the bottle is decorated with crystals or something like that. The FlowerBomb bottle is BEAUTIFUL, but not 165 bucks beautiful. I'm glad I got my bottle for a good price, though :)
If any explosion can happen while wearing this perfume it certainly doesn’t involve flowers. Cause there are no flowers in Flowerbomb. How strange? Surprised me also. The name is totally misleading, I experienced no flowers and no blast. Above all this is powdery perfume. Not so strong as I hoped, and not so sweet as I was affraid. More like comfortable scent to wear in winter time. And a bit boring.
There is a women working with me and she smells like that. Not because she wears V&R perfume. She has a little girl. And girl loves to eat lollipops in the morning. Before she separates from mother she wipes her face in mothers coat, shirt, hair... That is how Flowerbomb smells.
I must admit I don`t understand the fuss about Flowerbomb. No trace of glamour or sophistication. Using my artistic freedom I would name this High Price, Low Satisfaction perfume.
i like it but theres one kind of note in it that just aint working soo anoying and keeps me from buying
Firstly, it's not really a 'flower bomb' more like a sugar explosion. That said, it's absolutely gorgeous. I love fragrances that are a little different to the norm, not your run of the mill florals that every second girl is wearing and this certainly fits the bill. It's the kind of scent you follow someone to ask them about. The dry down is quite powdery and it's a long lasting fragrance. I agree Paris Hilton's Can Can is somewhat similar but really, that's like comparing a bar of Cadburys to a box of Godiva. Flowerbomb is beautifully done and recommended for fans of sweet gourmand fragrances eg Angel.
It Is That Thing A Woman Has When All Noses (And Man's) Are Drawn To Her It Is When A Woman Has An Undefinable Scent Called "Flowerbomb" Is What Every Woman Can Be It Is Now It Is My It Is You It Is The "Flowerbomb" Scent.
P.S
This Perfume/fragrance It And Is Forever Will Be
"The Scent Of My Life".
I used to not like this... I thought it was very average. However, after trying it again today, I absolutely loved it! It's very sweet... such a sweet floral that I don't think I'd even classify it as a floral. However, it's beautiful. So soft and sophisticated and ultra-feminine... the sillage is just fine and I can still clearly smell it after having it on for about five hours. And the bottle is just as pretty and elegant as the scent. A new favorite! I can't wait to wear this throughout the springtime.
not a bad smell per se ! but for the Heaven's sake where are the flowers ? only detected a ghostly shadow of subdued submerged flowers among extensive cruel sweetness , any how if u are a sweet ( or gourmand ! ) perfume lover u will most probably enjoy this sweet delicacy & candy heaven with sugar clouds & caramel sun-rays of a honey sun But if u like me a floral die hard fan ,
u will certainly be grievingly disappointed .
Can't agree more with dear Weegee's review down there !
Like it or not, this fragrance has already become a signature scent of the 2000s. Myriads of reincarnations (on average more than one each year!) as well as loads of imitations only go to show how popular this one is. This, however, also means that its blossom has already started to fade, so to speak...
To begin with, the name is a bit of a misnomer as the flowers are not even so prominent here. In the beginning, I smell burned sugar--not entirely unpleasant in itself. I like, however, the long-lasting dry-down best. It is, indeed, a woody and creamy, well-done patchouli. The patchouli is not overtly earthy as in some fragrances; it is not spicy, nor is it one of those postmodern renditions of the "new" patchouli that don't even smell like patchouli. The whole effect is fairly smooth. Flowerbomb lasts very long on me. On one traveling occasion, I kept feeling it for over 12 hours (and I never spray perfume on my clothes).
Would I wear this every day or even every week? Of course not (I can't imagine wearing any perfume every day for that matter)! If you are still looking for your Holy Grail fragrance, then look away. If you, however, like me, are sometimes looking for a soft patchouli scent with a touch of sweetness in the base, it just may hit the spot...
How perfect is this scent? The explosion of this bomb justifies the price. Wearing it, you can't help but feel gorgeous and completely irresistable. The scent is so sweet and light and gorgeous, the packing is exsquisite - a pleasure to have in your collection.
I smelled a small sample of this and I have to say, nothing special. I did like it, but it smelled like a lot of other things I have smelled before and was not very unique. For the price, it isn't worth it. You could get a much better scent for like a hundred dollars cheeper. In my opinion, don't waste your money. But remember, this is just my opinion, if you have the money and you like the fragrance, no one's stopping you.
My boyfriend gave me this fragrance as a gift for christmas, and i love it. Very very romantic and warm sence. Ultimate for winter. This is what i call a real Explosion of Flowers burning on your skin leaving the most adorable spores of just FLOWERS. i do wonder why i smell vanille in this.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent. I knew I would like it and I was right! It smells soo good with my chemistry luckily, and my fiance loves it on me. I love to wear it when I go out..it just lasts and lasts.
Okey! Is a good fragrance, sweet, oriental and intense. Something different from what we smell in many other fragrances out there today. But, This Really Worth The Price? I don't think so.. especially when Flowerboom's weak point is the fixation.. cuz I allways believe that a good fragance is a combination of perfect smell and a reasonable fixation..
Many people compare Flowerboom and Can can by Paris hilton.. and after testing this two fragrance, I think Can can is the same but more cheap..
Well, V&R are designers from Netherlands and there people are wealthy enough to shell out that much money for it. I think it's perfect for their weather (sultry in summer), I live in country by the sea and it's perfect choice all year round there. Though I can see that not everyone will like it :D
What can I say about it? All my review. And I'll say it's worth it's money, because it's really kinda unique on me. And absolutely not sickly sweet O.o Tea note deals with the sweetness very good. ^^ Also the Extreme version is drop-dead attracting. So is this too. I wear it when I want people to admire me <3
i think this it´s a cute perfume, but it´s so sweet. i thought this would be more sophisticated but i think it could belong in the britney spears fantasy family. overpriced, i would never buy this.
it's funny, this is like a grenade that doesn't explode and wound, but rather turns everybody into care bears.
I like sweet perfumes like Coco Mademoiselle, Gaultier 2, Bijan Black...but this perfume is just toooooo sweeet that gives me headache! I can't understand people who like it. I work in a big perfume shop and mostly girls aged 16-25 buy this perfume and all men dislike it since it is too sweet. Imagine putting 5 spoons sugar in your mouth all at once! Just throwing up!
Sweet cotton-candy, lolipops, candize fruit - and yummy cocoa in the base - that's Flowerbomb version of world. On this planet everything is easy, funny and gourmandise. Girls have ponytails and make bubbles from water and soap on meadows of fantasy, caramel-velvet rabbits jump in plastic forest and giants flowers from sugar bloom all around.
I love feeling Flowerbomb on myself but only in sunny days, on the rainy and cold ones Flowerbomb fades away as exotic flower in wrong climate.
Love it. Mostly a winter fragrance but a great scent, wondering lasting time.
Unholy cr*p in a bottle! That was my first thought. Seriously, this is the most awful liquid I've EVER smelled that's marketed as perfume. The Macy's SA aimed for a paper strip, got my hand in the overspray and was seriously miffed when I asked for something to help me wipe it off (bathrooms being an escalator ride AND a loooong walk away). I had to threaten to call a manager before she provided hand sanitizer and tissues.
Brings to mind soured floor cleaner, but if a cleaning company left my house smelling like this, I'd rather have left it dirty.
Overly sweet, thick, cloying orchid, dried up tea leaves and room freshener rose. In my opinion, this juice is an insult to Orientals everywhere. But perhaps the drydown is lovely, ala Bandit? :)
What more evidence is needed that our noses differ vastly? Fragrances adored by many are discontinued; bestsellers are reviled by those to whom they don't appeal; someone who loves me gives me a fragrance that I can't bear to wear... Sometimes it's difficult to realize that it's actually a GOOD thing that we don't all share the same taste.
This is definitely one of my favorites! I wear it when I go out and I feel wonderful! I keep sniffing my wrist over an over... I think it is one of those sweet-scented perfumes that women any age can wear
when I first smell this parfum, I thought it was magical and very original and really want it.
Since it is very pricey, I went to test it every different season to ensure whether it is worth spending my money on.
Shockingly, I come to grow disliking it. It reminds me of Euphoria which then remind me of Rosewood by Republic Banana which then remind me of Black XS.
I figure, to wear this scent, the best is during winter. I cannot wear em' at all during hot days or when I feel sticky as it gives me headache. It is that amber, poweder sickly pungent sweet smell just not good for the hot weather to my olfactory.
V powdery.
So many people love this parfum, I just cnt put my foot to like it that much that I would want to buy it so much yet :(
This was pushed on me at the department store, twice. Man were they trying to sell it! I don't understand the hype. Maybe it's just the way it smells on me. I took a trial size and it started out smelling like sugary floral cotton candy, then faded to a strange powdery scent. It's o.k. in the beginning, but I'm definitely not a fan of the powdery side. Once again, it could just be the way it wears on me.
This perfume is lovely but it turns all soft and cashmere on me with hardly any flowery-ness. I actually have been layering one spritz of Joy and one spritz of Flowerbomb and the combination is pure heaven.
Got a free sample of it and feel sorry the girl didn't give me something else because this fragrance is far too syropie and flat on me.
The aroma doesn't develop after the dry down, smells pretty cheap...tried to get rid of the sample offering it to gfs and family but no avail. , nobody wants it....
an absolutely gorgeous fragrance, however very pricey, and very sweet and could be overpowering if applied in the wrong way, i fell in love with this perfume but only got to wear it a couple of times because i fell pregnant and developed a severe aversion to it, i still cant stand it, and its such a shame, i had to give mine away, but it is lovely
This perfume smells divine, and lasts and lasts.. It isn't overpowering, and smells great on your clothes too. Sweet, fruity, floral & sexy !
This is way too sweet, and smells slightly like tea (which is nice, really). I see patchouli is listed as a basenote, so this will get no better. This is one loud, mature smell! Perhaps layered with something softening, and very green would make this wearable. Otherwise, I am sure to scare men away with this one.
Alright, so now here I am, adding another review to this fragrance because it's one of those where one can truly capture whiffs of different smells on different days.
In my first review, as I said, the drydown reminded me of a much fainter-yet-spicier version of Fancy. However, the very next day, I really understood what people meant when they said it smelled like Black XS, cause that was just what it smelled like to me on that particular day. However, today, I decided to spray a purely floral perfume on my right wrist first (Vera Wangs' Flower Princess), and then spray my left wrist with Flowerbomb, and so now, it reminds me of alittle of L by Lolita Lempicka.... How very interesting! It WAS sweet after all, especially in comparison to Flower Princess, though still not as sweet as Lolita Lempicka.
In conclusion, my whole perception of this perfume has changed, because it just changes so much with the wearer, what else you've smelled that day, the time of day, even your overall mood! I have never known a fragrance as diverse as this one. I am now hooked. :-)
Definitely expected more from this. When I smelled it, all I got was a boring powdery floral (which I don't like anyway because they're, well, boring). Very underwhelming.
Flowerbomb is hard to define as it is many things at once. To my nose, the tea and bergamot add an Earl Grey accord that is just barely discernible, but slightly fresh, nonetheless. This keeps the caramel and sweet florals from becoming cloying. At one point, I almost smell white grape juice, which is not unpleasant, but certainly unexpected and unique.
Flowerbomb is a sweet, powdery, rosy perfume, but to my nose, it is more powdery than floral, proving the name Flowerbomb to be a misnomer. This is not sweet in the way that Pink Sugar is sweet (almost sickeningly so), but rather smells of candied roses coated with violet powder.
It's a classic, romantic perfume, quite similar in structure to Lancome's Tresor, but softer, and so much more wearable than the classic powdery florals of yore. It is soft, with great lasting power and a lovely sillage that traces ribbons of powder, soft roses, caramel and tea throughout the air in its wearer's wake.
It won't be to everyone's liking, but I get compliments galore when I wear Flowerbomb and my boyfriend enjoys it quite a bit. It's true that it's similar to B&BW's Sensual Amber, but it's missing Sensual Amber's fruits and is much softer and more powdery. The "amber" smell in Flowerbomb seems composed of several other accords instead of a strong amber note, itself. The white musk seems more apparent in the top notes, then makes a strong appearance again near the drydown, which is a bit woody and reminds me of the smell of new books.
Flowerbomb will always be a favorite of mine and I'll always recommend it to those who adore sweet, powdery scents and who can't stand the cloying sweetness of Angel and Pink Sugar (both of which I own and realize are not suitable for the tastes of most people). Flowerbomb has notes of rose and jasmine sambac, where Angel's florals are white and its patchouli heavy and dominant. Pink Sugar is a strawberry-licorice, confectionary dessert and Flowerbomb is inedible.
I was initially against trying new fragrance, but was pleasantly surprised. Flowerbomb (EdP) is somewhat known, but it doesn't mean that it's not genuine, indeed this is a sweet note that I have easily remembered. I am not a big fan of oriental perfume, but Flowerbomb is one of the few modern that I loved from the first day.
At one point reminded me of Coco Mademoiselle with its fineness, or Hot Couture, but only for a moment and not so much by fragrant notes, and a bit of Dolce Vita because it's so warm and tempting. Has such fullness of My Insolence, which is why I say that is reminiscent of some perfumes, really reminds me of all the perfumes that I love, but despite that is unique. It's ultrafeminine, powdery, stylish, glamorous and bright. And lasts for hours with its wide aura. Charming and rich perfume that I love to wear in winter.
It's more floral-oriental perfume to me.
I really wish I could remember what fragrance this reminds me of when I first sprayed this, but unfortunately, I can't at this time. However, the drydown does, indeed, remind me of a much fainter, softer, yet spicier version of Jessica Simpsons' Fancy. It opens with a definite oriental feel. Quite spicy, and I can smell that green tea note in there too. In my own opinion, is not at all too sweet. I find the drydown sweeter than the topnotes, but because they're so soft and faint, it keeps from smelling anything remotely childish or kiddish.
I am quite surprised by this fragrance because I'll admit I was expecting alittle more sweetness to it (especially with so many much sweeter fragrances out there). But it's such a well done fragrance, with not too much sweetness, not too spicy, which is why it appeals to so many people, I think. I still like it, and I purchased the 100ml bottle, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this one again.
Sampled only 1 time, and reminded me Angel.
It is sweet and sweetness stays quite long time, flowers r subtle on the backend.
I was expecting more floral as it is named.
I need 2sample it more. My experiences tell me try the scents minimum 3 different times wo mixin any other scents for having honest opinions.
I don't like to, and I don't want to post anymore negative reviews :(. This was *forced smile* Okay. I'm sorry--I have to say what I didn't like. It is the only way to get over that momment of disapointment, when you've realized you got a little carried away with excitment. First off, like someone had already mentioned, where are the freakin flowers? Second, there was no explosion, no kaboom, kapow, nothing! it was more like the aftermath of a natural disaster but, it was okay ^_^
Goodness, I can hardly wait till I get this. :) After reading soooo many good reviews on this (by far the most of any perfume I've read before), I decided to order it online(unsniffed) the other day, and I'm sooooo eager to know how this smells already! I hear it's similar to Black XS, Can Can, Rosewood, even Angel, Coco Mademoiselle, and Pink Sugar,... but hearing all these names is so not helping me, because most of these smell quite different from each other. I'm DYING to find out what all this 'Flowerbomb fuss' is all about, and see if I'll be hooked like everyone else is on it.... Will review it here after I receive it.
I got my mini in the mail today!
I'm in complete shock at the similarities to this and Banana Republic Rosewood. I tried Rosewood before smelling or wearing Flowerbomb and I knew from the reviews of Rosewood that these would have similarities but this is just crazy!
For me, the only difference in smell is Flowerbomb is sweeter like candy with tea, powdery florals and very slight patchouli and Rosewood is slightly sweet with tea, stronger powdery florals and vanilla. Burberry The Beat is also similar but more woodsy with cedar instead of patchouli or vanilla..
Although I'm completely in love with this smell I will keep on buying Rosewood since its equally as good (if not better) cheaper AND lasts longer!
Edit: After going through my mini I changed my mind on Flowerbomb! I had to buy a bottle its sooo damn good! The sweetness is a lot different from Rosewood than I originally thought. I love both so much! Any variation of that type of smell big or small is good enough for me! In my top 10 forsure.
Like the name, it is a bomb of sweet loral notes, combined with some fresh notes. It is an amazing creation, who is very intense to me, but I even find that the Eau Extrème is not very lasting... .
Maybe it is very intense and you adapt very quick to it.
But I am in love with it. It was love at first sight!
In a class of its own! You feel beautiful just wearing it after the bottom notes come alive. One problem I find is EVERYONE IS WEARING IT so the magic is gone:(
I could sense the bergamot for a while, and that was pleasing because I enjoy citruses very much. Also, the bergamot also mixed very pleasantly with the heavy vanilla here, wich seems like an odd combination, but it worked very well here. That was the most interesting part of the fragrance for me after that faded, well....The fragrance is nice, lovely, cute, charming, somewhat timid, but, not stimulating or captivating for me. I did not find it overly sweet, as other reviewers noted. The fixation is very weak.
This fragrance is so beautiful it almost hurts!
The name is totally misleading – you wont get punched in the face by flowers; no you will rather be greeted by a warm, sweet, heavenly scent, which is simply perfection! Pure pleasure for the nose!
"Flowerbomb" is happiness in a bottle! Joy, peace and harmony is coming to my mind – you cannot feel bad wearing this fragrance!
Men seem to respond VERY positive to this fragrance – they really like to smell it and always comment in favour of the fragrance.
It is a bit pricey – but we girls are worth it ;-)
One of my favourite..mmm it smells divine i had a 1 oz bottle i bought during a vacation and i used the whole botttle(wich is not so often for me,i get bored quickly).Everyone i know has loved this great frag. Its very longlasting too.Too me it doesnt feel like a flowerbomb, more sweet and pretty..
So lovely! It is a gorgeous sweet floral.
It is a floral that makes you feel sweet but sexy at the same time! It is really nice only downfall is that it doesn't last very long on my skin. It is a really nice fragrance and a great bottle x
a 10+ for hollivomitsyou! :) it should be named "candybomb" because it is rather sweet than flowery. and i also have to agree with Ester: the fragrance is ridiculously expensive :(
This is one delicious bottle of perfume. I agree it does smell similar to Escada Magnetisim and even Roberto Cavalli. It's warm and sweet and I love the design of the bottle. Many people lable it as fruity, but I don't get alot of the fruit, but it's very, very sweet. That much I do agree with. I want Paco Rabanne Black XS, but I hear it smells alot like Flowerbomb, which I already have. So, I may not purchase it. This is a very lovely fragrance though.
This is a "happy" fragrance. So sweet, fresh, delightful, perky and youthful.
I would recommend it to girls on diet- Flowerbomb will satisfy their appetite for candies and pastry.
I love it!
I totally agree. Flowerbomb smells VERY similar to Can Can by P. Hilton. Hard to believe but it's true! At a fraction of the cost, Can Can is a much better deal, however, it is sweeter than Flowerbomb but they do share the same notes. In my last review I said that FB didn't last, but I gave it another try and it is lasting, it is just more subtle than what I was looking for at the time. The rose and orchid in this one are beautiful and change over time. Just when I think it has settled and will need refreshing, I get an intoxicating whiff of modern rose that is anything but settled. I kept looking around to see what the smell was and realized it was me! It is now the newest member of my perfume collection and is beautiful.
It is warm and creamy. It's very similar in my opinion to Neonatura Cocoon and Prada. Very comfortable and not heavy like I'd anticipated.
This fragrance is so sweet, lovely and most comforting!
It remins me of my lazy Sunday's spent in my pyjamas....eating tons of vanilla ice cream for breakfast (straight off the package ;-)) and watching my favourite soaps all day long!
Simply perfect! :-) :-) :-)
I liked it when I went to the counter to smell it. But when I actually owned a bottle, I realized that I didn't. My husband realized it as well. A note in there is just too strong for me. And something about it makes me dizzy...but not in a good way. It has a very sweet floral scent. I think people have described it as sweet floriental...which sounds pretty accurate. It comes in a beautiful bottle. And the lotion is actually quite nice. (I prefer IT over the perfume)....but the scent just wasn't for me. Too bad.
Its like a velvety soft blanket covering my skin.It made me feel comfortable, relaxed and happy.I love the mild sweetness of this perfume. To me it is very Classy & Sexual. It has been on my skin for hours & I have only sprayed it twice. This is exactly the kind of scent I like.Sweet yet flowery & not overwhelming.
For a scent named flowerbomb, I thought there would be more floral notes to it. Was I wrong, I can sense some rose but mostly I get the sandalwood tying all of the other notes together, so one part of the name 'bomb' is right. This scent blasted me with bergamot at first and then almost immediately the sandalwood started to wrap around me like a spicy smoky veil caressing the other notes into a subtle floral with a punch of spice. I have to let this sit for longer and see how it is in about 4 hours. So far I really like it!
this one is nice. i would say it's more of a candybomb than a flowerbomb. for the price though, i could buy a couple of other bottles that i like even better. the packaging is sweet though, and my husband really liked this one on me which is a plus, right?
addition: reminds me of gucci rush with more sugar.
I liked at the first spray and excpeted it would become one of my favorites. But it didnt happen but still like the scent and would like to give it another chance with a second botle.
was at the department store to get a gift card for my friend. Not even paying attention I just grabbed the display of Flowerbomb and sprayed it on my wrist. It smelled delicious. Like warm sugarcovered flowers. Don't smell fruit. I knew I had to have it. I dropped hints and got it for Christmas. If only picking perfumes were always this easy
Yes, flowery and warm and powdery. Sweet, but balanced so it is not overwhelming, feminine!
I will be choosing now between the original and sparkle editions, I love them both!
P.S. If you find it a bit overpriced, try Carolina by Carolina Herrera - very similar, just as adorable, but much cheaper!
I had to get a sample of this to see what all the hype was about--and the price! I have to say I'm a little disappointed. It IS a nice floral, but to me there isn't anything remarkable about it. And after 20 minutes I can barely smell it.
I have so many florals that I like better, which cost a fraction of what this does. Not bad, but I will not be purchasing this.
This is so soft on my skin. Candy like floral. Love the name, the bottle and everything about it. I'm so happy to add this to my collection. Will wear this this spring and summer a lot..
I was impressed by this perfume. I thought the bottle was very creative and unique, and the scent equally as nice.
Although this fragrance doesn't really appeal to my tastes in perfume, I can appreciate Flowerbomb for what it is.
Flowerbomb is a strong floral with beautiful hints of vanilla and tea leaves. The scent is sweet and powdery without being too overpowering, and is warm and soft on the skin.
This fragrance is similar to Angel by Thierry Mugler, in sweetness and in popularity. Like Angel, this fragrance either grabs you or disinterests you.
I might have considered purchasing this perfume if it wasn't so expensive, however I understand that Viktor & Rolf are an exclusive brand and wish to be noted in same league as Chanel and Guerlain.
MY first great, enormous and wonderful discovery in this 2009!!! .What a fragrance! What a perfume!!!
So sweet and floral , totally balanced, totally combined...you cant stop smelling the fragrance after hours... and your nose notices it all the time... It happens to me that after an hour or so, I didn´t notice the perfume I am wearing... but not with this one... wearing flowerbomb is such an experience!!!
LizzieM, I think you should buy it. I believe that flowerbomb will become a new classic. The price is not too bad compared with Chanel fragrances. I bought a Christmas gift set myself. It really is a powerful fragrance - once it explodes, you can't do anything about it, just like a bomb. It is like heaps of flowers plus Hypnose - everything that is good is in it, so much that you almost feel that you can't take it all at once.
I tried this again, after having tested it years ago, I remember at the time I was trying various scents, so I think I was confusing the issue.
I am now torn between loving it and hating it!!! Grrrrrrrrrr, I would love it totally if it weren't so expensive and exclusive.
Shall I buy it? What do you guys think? I was given a sample which I shall wear and see how it feels.
I love it and the men who smell me love it :)
Sweet but not in a migrane inducing way! So femenine and soft.. so warm!!
I made the mistake of butying Paco Rabbane XS for her hoping it would be similar and NOTHING is a good for a sugary sweet fix as Flowerbomb!
Pretty and nearly edible first on, this dries down to a tea-like vanilla with sandalwood.
I love Flowerbomb. When I had a sample of it, my friend smelled me and told me that it's how I'm supposed to smell. It's so sweet and welcoming. I just wish it were less expensive. Santa can afford it but I hope I don't run out too quickly!
I didn't want to try this because the name wasn't promising me anything interesting...
Oww, I was so wrong! One day, with curiosity taking over I grabbed this dark violetty Extreme Flowerbomb and applied richly on my wrist. I didn't expect anything when received top notes.. and then... Blast! My heart was taken. And some friends too..
So, about EDP. Starts with citrusy notes, green tea is very detectable and nice. And then this scent develops.. And blasts all the captured flowers all around you. (For me something like fresh florals with a very faint chocolate, I might be wrong, but I think it's like this) This perfume is present with you all day long (Layering with anything faint smelling cream etc.- the golden key to good staying power) and never leaves you there alone unnoticed and not adored.
Next thing is... I never thought this would be sexy. Chypres are sexy... But this... oh my.. what does it do to men! It makes them crazy! And they adore it! (You!) They seems hardly can hold in their excitment about this :D Drop-dead sexy. It is perfume to take over the world. Dry-down is vanilla, sweet warm, very nice, take a rest :D
By the way, about lasting power- it lasts only it's not so detectable, but people around claimed that they feel perfume.
This is beautiful and I was instantly transported to euphoria upon smelling it. Then I realized it smelled sooooo familiar! Is it just me or does anyone think this smells EXACTLY like Escada's Magnetism, only without the staying power? A couple of minutes after spraying it on and POOF! it was gone.
I don't know if I would put this in the oriental group, I think it would fit more in the gourmand section. I shyed away for a long time, because I don't like the bottle with the handgranate design. Also the name Flowerbomb made be stay away, because I usually don't like flowery perfumes.
To me this is not a flowery perfume, rather a full bodied raspberry jam scent mixed with lovely running chocolate. Truly a delicious smell, very easy to like I would say. The problem is that it's not very long lasting, but that can be solved by putting some vegetable oil on the skin before applying the fragrance. I gave this a try yesterday about midnigth and the perfume is still lingering at my skin at noon. I have only a mini and I wish for a full bottle. This is a fragrance that can be compared to lolita lempicka, but it's still different.
villalegre01
For me Flowerbomb the fragance is seductive, sexy, smell so good taht made you feels good ,mysterius his fragance last longer than any other perfumedi love it because I leave a trail wherever i walk
I felt and finally he feels really good floral fresh I like a lot but I do not understand why this price :/
coco 76 said it just the way I feel about this perfime...it is sooo alluring and mysterious...dark and yet joyful...very feminine floral bouquet but still has sort of soft, powdery character...I have Flowerbomb oil and it is more intensive than the perfume...it's great for those evenings when you want to be noticed but without that ''smelled it somewhere'' kind of feeling....definitely one of my favourite feminine scents...but,too expensive sorely...
Flowerbomb is my *FAVORITE* perfume!!
I have got 8 perfumes in total, and I'm absolutely addicted to wearing Flowerbomb; it is my preference over everything, even when I feel I should be giving the other perfumes a bit of exposure...
I love it in the morning, I love it in the afternoon, I love it at night.
If there were 3 things I had to say that I like best about it (apart from the bottle - which is eye-candy at the very least), they would be:
- Bouquet of flowers; a heavenly explosion of a thousand floral scents. So delicious that the tiniest whiff gets you intoxicated, and the subtle trail of flowers you leave behind is like a goddess taking a walk through some mythical land...
- Positivity. It's so sweet, so flowery, so luscious, so seductive, that - literally - your mood is changed when you wear it. If you're depressed most of the time (like me) it can really lift your mood...
- Velvety smooth finish. This, I would say, is a combination of sweetness, the flowers, but most importantly the vanilla base. I LOVE vanilla. Ever since childhood, when we holidayed in Tahiti and brought back vanilla bean pods for our sugar pot, I've loved it. It is so smooth, so rich, so creamy, and as I said before: so veeeeeelvety smooth.
3 thumbs up from me ;P !!!
I only just found the Viktor and Rolph perfumes at my local. My friends I was shopping with all agreed there was something biscuity or "baked goodies-ish" about the top notes. We only got a spritz on a piece of card though so next time I'm going to put it on my skin.
It dosen't last very long... That's the only negative thing about this perfume. Try breathing close to your skin :)
For me it's too sweet - not flowery.
I love this perfume, and I don't care what anyone else thinks! I never get enough of sniffing it - it's just flowers, sweetness, and musk, vanilla - mmmm... Good enough to eat, except I wouldn't eat it! Charming and ultra-feminine. Hope it catches lots of boys! - lol, have only had it one day.
I know i complained about this perfumes short lasting scents. But i notised a sexy thing about it!
When you think the base is gone - breath on your skin and a subtile, warm, vanilla like scent appear!
At first, i didn't like it, nothing special. But that was when i smelled it directly from the bottle.
I tested it on my skin and it was absolutely wonderful! The first time i could really smell the difference from bottle vs. skin!
The scent was a bit strong in the begining, but after just a few minutes it smells sweet and powdery, but at the same time you get a hint of something fresh (i don't smell the citrus), i don't know what it is though... This parfume have it all without being to much. It's warm, spicy, sweet and fresh at the same time. The only thing i don't like, is that this parfume is not very lasting.
i didnt like this, it smells artificially classic, like if they wanted it to smell mysterious and elegant, but they put in too much of the "chemical x":), so for me its really forced and unpleasant on my skin as well as on the testing paper
Flowerbomb is the mysterious stranger at the party, drawing all the attention when they enter the room...the bergamot immediately commands your attention, and you are enticed by sweet tartness. Just when you think you can be friends, Flowerbomb is gone - POOF - leaving behind wisps of freesia and jasmine and making you wonder if you imagined the whole encounter. Not a long lasting perfume, but quite lovely and heady while its there.
yes, this is the expensive version of Paco Rabanne Black XS. Strong and sweet gourmand scent, but not overwhelming. Love it.
You definetely need to try this one. I just got it and I'm in love. It makes my mouth water...so sweet and soft.
i am very curious about this fragrance, i think i will get a sample. i have a feeling that it is something my sister will like as well, she has an obsession with chocolately scents.
Attaking, invading, and stimulating your brain cells in a strange manner.
Classy, sexy, exotic and extremely seductive. May be the sexiest women's scent available after the legendery POISON by Christian Dior.
By far my all time favorite scent! It's incredible! It's sweet, sexy, and just absolutely delicious! It's definitely worth the price. Viktor & Rolf did an amazing job creating this fragrance. The bottle and packaging have to be one of the best ever created. I see this fragance lasting forever. It's a new classic. It's florals are so sweet yet powdery. Definitely the best gourmand, dessert like fragrance ever created. It's so delicious that I wish it was edible. I just want to drink the stuff. The best of the best. All women need to experience and own this absolutely beautiful fragrance! I can't stop praising it!!!
I'm undecided about this one. It's a bit heavy for me, all the floral scents of it get overpowered by one sweet and strong note. I think it's the jasmine. I'll wear it a couple of times and make up my mind.
Just gave it another try, and this time flowerbomb is horribly sweet from beginning ...
It's definitely not a floral sweet, nor fruity or foody... not any of those kinds but a cheap synthetic yet never-cease sweetness. and it doesnt change much, just more caramel-like. The only good thing is its longevity, it can stay on your skin for the whole day even in muggy summer.
I think it's body chemistry thing. But there're lots of people experience the same with me. So it's better to sample before buy
This is so sickeningly sweet I can't stand it. There is something about this that reminds me of Lagerfeld for men, which I did not care for either.
here's what I get from Flowerbomb: imagine being bathed in flowers AND chocolate drizzled with caramel. this is wonderful to say the least, so very RICH smelling. I at least feel as though I have money when I wear this!
AAAAA I love it I love it look lik Paco Robanne Black XS A lot but has a ritcher smell:)
Oh, I want this one! But I'll have to save up for it as it's one of the more expensive ones. The EDT is softer, but it still lasts a verrry long time. The EDP is a lot stronger, maybe not so good for humid weather. This is a beautiful floral. The vanilla and benzoin keep this scent from smelling too much like a garden (which is not a bad thing... if you're a rose bush) or a funeral - some florals have that effect. This is realllly well done. And the notes are surprisingly simple... less is more. I may have to break my budget and splurge on this one. Oscar Wilde did say that the best way to get rid of temptation is to give into it!
agree with flugeltje013, on me it smells really fruity, though there's no fruit note on the list. after few mins, I got the tea notes under the cloying sweet.
It's nice in some way, but just the type I hate...
I don't think it smells floral at all. It smells sweet and fruity. I love it, but try not to use it much because of the price :-)
I don't normally like florals, but a guy was insistent about spraying some for me on a card. I was surprised to find, I actually like a floral perfume. The scent was the same on my skin, 2 hours later. Normally florals turn sour on me. He said that this is Viktor&Rolf's first perfume to come to the States under Ralph Lauren. I hope they sell well, because I like their nose!
I love this one! Has a hint of Angel about it but not as heavy. So pretty and I find that men like it as have had plenty of compliments wearing it.
Well, it is what it is...a flowerbomb! Expensive, but worth it. It'll be mine eventually! The fragrance is incredibly powerful, but not too heavy. Sweet. fresh, pretty, luminous, flowery, delicious... all I can think of to describe it.
Nice scent, warm and not strong for an oriental. Unfortunately it does not have longevity. Need to reapply often!
