Pur Desir de Pivoine by Yves Rocher is a Floral fragrance for women. The fragrance features peony.
My review is for the body wash. I never had it in perfume, but I guess the scent is the same or very close. The first time I opened the bottle, I didn't like it at all. It smelled fake and weared... It has nothing to do with this gorgeous elegant peony scent. Or maybe it is because not all peonies have the same scent?!...
The heavenly scent of peonies in full bloom! YR manages again to create pleasant and very close to real nature fragrance. If you ever buried your face into bouquet of peonies to inhale their beautiful smell then you would know how Pur Desir de Pivoine smells like. It is garden full of peony bushes in full bloom.
The scent is soliflore. I love it for the first 30 minutes but then the vibrancy of peony flowers subside and I am left with light but pleasant floral scent. I wish the luscious peony scent lasted a bit longer but I can always re-apply it to experience it again.
Overall score 7.5/10. I definitely recommend if you are looking for peony soliflore. There are so many synthetic ones out there but this one is a great, more natural interpretation of this flower.
This scent is absurdly beautiful, simple and extremely long lasting. You wouldn't expect this lasting power and strength from an Eau de Toilette, but it's amazing and ridiculously inexpensive. Definitely one of my favorites, though I haven't worn it much the past few months because it's too fresh for winter.
I may change my mind.
I am very very sorry. It smells like nothing:)) I don't think it is because it's mono floral. No scent at all. Maybe peony in the first 10 minutes and after that it's very soapy and hmmm... sour? I don't like it.
I bought it a year ago to give my teacher as a birthday present.I don't get the peony scent but rose.It smells romantic, light, sweet and girly for spring and summer.
I was very lucky to be able to test this fragance in comparison with a bunch of real soft pink garden peonies.
And I must say this is really pretty close. Lovely mono, perfect for springtime if you want to feel like a beautiful flower of peony.
Since peonies are my favourite flowers I sometimes like to impersonate one.
Just got this in my latest YR parcel today and I tested it small spray on my wrist. This is my first experience with linear peony and its very floral. I'm not a white floral kind of gal and that's what I get with this linear scent. It was also very synthetic in the opening and that seems to fade as the scent begins to dry down. I'm trying to be patient and give it a chance. Perhaps I will appreciate it more in the springtime?
I really liked "Pivoine" from Yves Rocher back in the days and i also like this one but it is just a shadow of what " Pivoine" used to be, very light and true peony scent but instantly vanishes and has no staying power sadly. I don´t want to waste my money on that. Maybe combined with body lotion it would last better, but sadly i don´t use any kind of body lotions at all...
When I was a kid my family lived at my grandparents house and my grandmother had peonies growing in the garden. This scent reminds me that time and my grandmother. But I wouldn't wear Pur Desir de Pivoine myself, I'd give this fragrance for my granny if I got it somewhere. The nostalgy is nice but I couldn't smell it on myself because it would make me feel old.
A very good peony smell. Light and floral not overly sweet. Smells like peonies in spring bloom. It's the perfect scent for those who love the original Pivoine by Yves Rocher. Though the fragrance gets somewhat alcohol-like after having it for a while. I just wish they would go ahead and re-release the original. If they do I'm praying they don't change the formula. This is a good sub but nothing like the original.
Described by the Book of Beauty as a "spicy creamy floral" Pur Desir de Pivoine (Peony) really is charming...
My mother has two HUGE peony bushes that bloom every summer whether we do anything to them or not, and this really smells like those big bouncy blooms. Spicy, yes; but not "hot", more like pink peppercorns or corriander seed. This really is creamy and smooth. It has an underlying femininity to it. This is also one of the ones that got pushed out, as my collection grew. I held on to the hand soap and a small 30 ml EDT, just for its lovely scent and spicy floral feel. I just adore the vintage version of this: PIVOINE, in the milk-white flacon and the peony shaped topper. It has some more complexity, more notes and a bit deeper character than this. I put some of each on test strips, and had my Mom sniff them blind. To my surprise, she actually preferred the Pur Desir, while I loved the vintage SOOO much more. Go figure...
Sillage: okay
Longevity: decent
Overall: 3/5
Creamy and spicy, I love! Pink florals, not so much. There are times when I almost wish I had held on to this, then I come to my senses (usually after sniffing Pour Monsieur or some other manly cologne with flowers in it, but not made entirely of them) and realise it is just silly to have perfume to have it! If you are not gonna wear it, pass it on! This is delightful on my friend from High School, but it wilted on me. Peonies are wonderful on the bush...not on MY skin.
This scent is very similar to Gucci Envy me.
I think Envy me is sweeter, but overall this YR scent is a cheaper version of it.
Lasting power is average like an EDT.
Pure and rich peony scent, nothing less and nothing more.
It gets old quickly somehow (within a year - without exposure to sunlight or whatsoever); the smells starts to change and has this strange extra smell. I use it as my toilet refreshener now, because I don't want to spray it on my skin but still like the smell.
Very fresh clean uncomplicated peony smell! The first moments are the best and remind you of just opened peony blooms. The opening fades quickly and becomes wispy and mild, but still peony-like. After about an hour you have only a hint of fragrance remaining. Wish they'd find a way to capture that opening, that lovely top note and make it last.
I had this a long time ago when it came in a beautiful white glass bottle with a peony flower-shaped cap and had the name Pivoine. It definitely looked better then.I can't imagine why they decided to put it in such a plain and boring bottle. I loved its delicate flowery fragrance, totally romantic little perfume:)Now they've taken away most of the green notes and left only the peopny with some mild white flowers, I iked it more before, plus it had more staying power. A wonderful perfume is gone, yet for me the new Pivoine manages to take its place among other beloved florals, mainly because of its authentic vegetal creamy scent. I like it. The cosmetics line that compliments it is also very nice.
love it must have!
it's so delicate and yet long lasting.. i bought it as a gift to my mom.. definitely recommend it :D
Smells really good, but it's a shame that even after generous use, it wears off after a few hours. I would not buy it again only for that reason. Pivoine was better anyway.
i loooooove it! got it from my mom and dad for christmas,, sad to hear he just died(yves rocher)
I had a sample of it and it was enough. I will never buy a full bottle. May be it's ok for peony lovers and Yves Rocher perfume lovers, but for me it's as smothering as other Yves Rocher fragrances. It seems to me that there are some ingredients in their perfumes that make them long lasting, but cheap smelling and mostly choking. If take away these ingredients the perfumes will be ok.
I use shower gel its amazing.i think ill buy fragrance nmy boyfriend likes this smell on me
It smells like roses to me, but fresh roses, not spiced at all.
I applied it 5 hours ago and I can still smell it if I stick my nose to my harm. Sillage was strong the first hour, but now Pivoine is a skin scent.
I like it especially in summer, very fresh and soft, I really can smell the peony. The only negative thing: doesn´t last more than an hour. Or should say:
I do not smell it-I received compliments allthough I thought it was already gone.
I used to have a bottle of Pivoine (the white one with the big pink floral lid) and really liked that, so I expected to like this as well. I don't. It's too ... sharp? I guess? ... would be the way to describe it. Maybe it will grow on me - it's not that it smells bad, it's just that I don't like the scent at this time.
I love it, i feel so good when i use the lotion, it last so long on the skin, it smells like spring, like you`re in love... soft floral, a little fresh and very feminine... It gives you a positive tender mood, and its very discreet - I LOVE IT
It's a very nice peony scent. I honestly like the soap from this line more than a fragrance cause of poor lasting quality but it's my personal preference. They're both good.
I got the perfume! YAY! So fresh and delicate like petals. Sadly it doesn't last long on me at all.
A very good peony fragrance. Also reasonably price which a plus. It is one of Yves Rocher's better scents IMO.
I have the bosy wash and candles. Ahhh a pure peony scent. LOVE IT! Really want the perfume.
