Kouros Cologne Sport Yves Saint Laurent for men

very, VERY FEW men, wearing this....its not like many men are wearing its "father" (Kouros). But this flies way beneath the radar. And thats where I like to roam. I hate typical shit. Im all about 'off the beaten path" or I take the retro route. And this is off the beaten path. Longevity is very impressive...great sillage..and you'll get compliments. Very, very chic. And 'chic' is not a word that I typically use. But whenever I wear this, that word comes to mind.

I'm surprised there are so few reviews of this.

It's a nice alternative to summer aquatic or citrus scents. Cyclamen is the main note here, which isn't the main note in many other men's fragrance. It's a unique and pleasant floral, but not in an overly flowery way. Great longevity and sillage for a cologne.

YSL Kouros is Genius to me. The Kouros Original is my all time Signature Fav. Not much here to say that hasn't been said. When i got a tester of this, i sprayed it on and chuckled a immediately... Ahahahaaa, "Kouros Lite" Kouros for Kids. They took the animal out of it, gave him a shave, haircut, told to stand up straight and not be so rough with the girls, and wax that chest!
Same Familiar spicy cedar woody Citrusy Greenness. Same Obvious very Masculine cologne, dont get me wrong. Like a fresh Gym shower smell.
It's almost precisely the same scent, but with no kick or "Punch" to it.(Not a trace of sweat or urine) I've said that if you can't stand Kouros, this is an excellent alternative. Perhaps that's all there can be, things change, times change, tastes in hairstyle. Perceptions of what ideal fem/masculinity is. *sigh* you kids these days...
Can't blame you. I wouldn't mind wearing this if the originals disappeared though.

A great scent to wear at work, interview and social events, especially on the days when you need confidence boost.

Exactly softened and freshened Kouros with faint floral blast in the back. Still smells musky but doesn't smell like urine according to some people who complain about Kouros.
Chilly and cool, comfort and sporty with an aquatic paste proper for summer and warm weather in a casual way specially on polo shirts.
But wish could last for more, as it's cologne, its longevity is weak but spreads good.
Bad design of stopper, hard to apply.

"Kouros Sport" which is to say "a lighter Kouros" which is to say "Kouros without its characteristic, infamous and controversial note" which is to say" Nicole Kidman after the plastic surgery" which is to say "not as fascinating as she used to be".

Overall this is a pretty decent/pleasant fragrance, but way too pale to mantain the mesmerizing power of the original version.

I agree that this is a lovely uopdated version of the classic Kouros. Smells fresher, less strong.
The only thing i dislike is the fact that it's a cologne and no EDT available.
I think an EDT would be a GREAT success and make thousands like me happy!

So if YSL is reading this, take note of this as a mkt survey.

Cedar and musk, rounded out by very subtle florals. A bit of citrus in the opening, but it goes away quickly. The musk sticks around ALL DAY. It's a good thing that it is quite a pleasant smell.

A slightly modern version of the original Kouros. Toned-down but still very strong. Top and base notes have been changed but the middle notes are almost identical to the original. A very macho but complicated cologne that will attract attention (some good some bad).

Finally purcashed Cologne Sport at low price :)
Wow! This is GOOOOD!

I mean, first the transparent bottle, it's looks so simple yet elegant and well designed. And then the juice. It's not agressive like the original Kouros but they share the same spirit, ultra-masculine and animalistic. The best part is that even it's a "cologne" the longevity is at least like that of an edt! It lingers all day and doesn't hurt any nose.

Well, I'm not sure about the sportiness of the fragrance but at applying it feels minty so it's also refreshing. Absolutely recommened! Much better than Chanel Allure Cologne Sport.

I also agree with lovescully and I would add that this is the perfect "Kouros Summer" version, specially for the brazilian weather.

I agree with lovescully - a gentler but fresher Kouros alternative - it's an excellent EDT with good sillage and lasts quite a while.

Very similar to the original Kouros, but not nearly as in your face. Although I haven't worn it for many years, I was never really comfortable wearing the original because it always provoked a "love it or hate it" type of response.

This version however has a gentler, softer & much fresher feeling to it, so I wouldn't feel nearly as wary leaving the house with this on.

Regardless of its gentler approach, this is still quite an intoxicating & daring fragrance. If you like the original Kouros but find it just too strong, I would heartily recommend this as a safer alternative.
