Who loves roses?

Jurlique does! With many ingredients grown and extracted at their organic and biodynamic farm in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Jurlique's mission has been to offer a pure and natural skin care range combining the ancient arts of alchemy, herbal medicine and homeopathy to reconnect people to nature. Scent is a significant part of their products' allure and effectiveness.

"Our dream was to connect people back to nature. That connection...that's the really important thing for us as human beings."

Ulrike Klein, co-founder of Jurlique

The aromas of Jurlique's products are just as impressive as their skincare benefits. And now the signature Jurlique fragrance which captures the essence of the world's finest Rose Oils and the purity of Jurlique's very own organically grown Rosa Gallica is being offered in a sleek, travel-sized bottle.

Jurlique Essence of Rose

Jurlique's Essence of Rose is a 100% natural blend of rose oils and extracts - Rose Wardia, Rose Anatolia, Rosa Centifolia, Rosa Gallica and Turkish Rose - in a liquid oil base of Shea butter. Though the product is a roll-on fragrance oil, it is not so much a perfume but an aromatherapeutic blend; rose is known to benefit the limbic system, relieve anxiety and help with depression.

The aroma is subtle and pure and because of its low sillage and brief longevity is intended for personal pleasure and benefit. This is the perfect product for those who prefer tender, natural aromas as opposed to typical perfumes.

Ingredients: Dicaprylyl Ether; Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride; Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate; Fragrance/Parfum*; Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter; Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil; Rosa gallica Flower Extract; Citronellol*; Linalool*; Eugenol*; Methyl Eugenol*; Citral*. *From Natural Essential Oil (Rose - Rosa damascena & Rosa centifolia)

Jurlique Rose Love Balm

Alternatively, Jurlique offers a subtle rose experience in Love Balm. A natural salve infused with the scent of roses, Love Balm moisturizes, softens and protects dry or chapped skin and can be used on face, hands and other dry patches to protect against moisture loss while providing antioxidant protection.

Love Balm was a treat on my own lips with its tangy rose aroma and was immediately soothing to my winter-worn cuticles.

Can't wait to try these! I love low-sillage skin scents. I wear them for me, and I hate the idea of bothering anyone with my scents. These sound even more subtle than the scents I usually wear, so I could use both at the same time, without clashing or overload.

@relle, Dr. Harisson is exactly right. I have the Love Balm and I also use it on lips and cuticles, but the pleasure of the scent only lasts as long as the application takes, while you are rubbing it and warming it to release the fragrance. Even when it's on my hands, while I can still bring them to my nose to smell it later, no one else around me is able to smell it

Love Balm is a great, natural alternative to Smith's Rosebud Salve. The fragrance does not last at all.

@relle: the sillage and longevity of the aroma is extremely brief and subtle; the skin-soothing properties are really what these products are all about.

Both sound delightful! I'm curious about their longevity, if any fellow Fraggies out here have tried either. Thanks!
